Great stay. Convenient location.
Great hotel, very comfortable and clean room. Nice staff
What a great place to stay. Our Tom was spacious and comfortable. Staff was great and location convenient for walking to various points of interest. I’d recommend taking the double decker bus to learn more about the history of Austin. Five stars!
Comfy beds, great staff
Room was nice and comfortable. Parking was easy but little expensive, you would think if your a member you would park for free. But over all a nice place to spend the weekend.
ok
The staff on reception were tremendous, a lovely lady on reception greeted us and checked us in, forgive me I don’t remember her name but I remember she had lived in Germany. The ladies on departure were also very helpful and accommodating in trying to find out what was open due to the snow. There were renovations works going on the ground floor, which meant the restrooms on the ground floor were unavailable, so a trip to the 5th floor was what was available. Parking overnight was very expensive, granted it’s secure but as a guest one would think it would be discounted, $40 is extremely high…
Very pleasant stay. The staff is always friendly, courteous and professional.
Great customer service, beds where amazing and comfy !
Great stay! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance of the Capitol building, which was very convenient. The facility was clean, with high ceilings and spacious rooms that made the stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend!
loved this place. truly is a gem and the front desk people were amazing they all deserve a raise! bless their hearts they helped upgrade my room with ease!
Check in took 25 min even though only one couple was ahead of us and we had prepaid. Building under construction/renovation so common areas not available. Plastic bags stuffed behind sculpture in room— who did that? prior guests? cleaning staff? Breakfast was good though. Entrance is behind scaffolding and across the street abandoned buildings with graffiti all over, making neighborhood feel less safe.
Nice and clean
Great stay!
Stay was great! Very clean room and hotel. All of the front desk staff were really pleasant and very helpful!
My stays at the Hampton Inn & Suites Austin @ The University / Capitol have always been very pleasant with some of the nicest and quietest rooms I've stayed in.
Construction obstacles!
Ongoing construction was the one major obstacle to access, parking, etc.
Staff was wonderful
Staff were very helpful
This was a perfectly acceptable place to stay
the stay was amazing. loved the view and balcony. and breakfast was delicious
We stay there for just one night, but we leave very pleased, the staff was friendly and ready to help, the breakfast was ok and the area seems safe and quiet, will definitely come back
Very clean, quiet, centrally located. The staff was very helpful with food recommendations and finding a lost phone!
It was good stay safe and near to UT Austin camp
To expensive the parking lot
Was rushing in downstairs rr was closed for remodeling but the front desk was so sweet. She was checking someone in but directed me where to go so I didn't feel panicked. Then after checked me in made me feel at home signed up for Hilton Rewards! Let us know the food stop across the corner. Was so delicious! All you can eat sushi was a must !
nice place
A little upset with construction at hotel taking place, pool was closed, guest laundry out of service, noicrowave in room Although breakfast was top knotch
Requested an ADA room through 3rd party. However, the request was not made with reservation at the time of check in. The desk clerks worked successfully to accommodate the request. It took longer to check-in, but it was accomplished. Appreciate their efforts.
Great Customer Service
The room that we originally booked was not available but the staff at Hampton Inn made sure they provided a room that was even better than the one we had originally planned on. It was clean and the remodeling did not hinder our stay.
Great service, very clean hotel. Very polite staff!
Excellent stay
We were in town for New Years Eve. Excellent stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was very nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff was very friendly. Room was great
It was great, and the staff was very helpful! We had a mishap at a nearby restaurant and they had a fully stocked first aid kit with some burn cream and antiseptic! These guys are ready for anything!!! I've stayed at this location 2 times before and always high quality property!
Current construction and taped paper covering balcony was unpleasant, but understandable. Very loud generators across from balcony were unexpected, also understandable. But no other complaints.
Great clean place to stay located close to the UT campus and LBJ Presidential Library. Fresh and hot continental breakfast was outstanding and the staff including Rosa were superb.
Renovation Project at the capitol makes walking difficult, but otherwise this is a fantasy area.
Everything about this hotel is perfect! I will definitely book again.
NO HOT WATER!
There was no hot water! When we called the front desk they seemed to know there was an issue and that needed to reset the hot water heater. Ridiculous to have to take a cold shower or no shower at all with little recognition that this is a major inconvenience. We will not be staying here and you can look we stayed here one night each of the last 3 months.
Friendly staff. Good location. Great breakfast
Austin family trip-Alabama concert
Room was great and service was fine. We were surprised by the $40 self parking fee per night in the parking garage. Balcony was wonderful w great views.
Close to state capitol
I was quite shocked to have to pay $40 to park overnight in the hotel's garage. I have stayed in dozens of hotels and never had to pay for parking in the garage. This should be noted on the website. Our room had no hot water which I discovered after disrobing and being ready to get clean and go to bed. We had to pack everything and move to a suite in order to have hot water. So aggravating. Suite was much larger, bed was comfortable but as soon as I went to take a shower I found several very long, quite noticeable hairs on the bathtub edge and bottom. Does no one clean the rooms any more? I won't recommend this hotel due to the lack of hot water in the first room, hair in the second room's bathroom and ridiculous $40 parking fee.
Close enough to everything downtown that you can walk.
We loved it so much
Very nice property. Would recommend
Friendly staff!
Clean. Quiet. Very nice.
Extremely friendly staff. Above and beyond.. beUtiful property and amazing room!!
The hotel itself is fantastic. The area surrounding, did not have many obvious dining options
My water got shut off and I couldnt shower.
I wasnt able to shower inbetween my overnight shifts at the hospital. The water got shut off to the entire hotel. The manager knew what happened to me and didnt even try to reach out. It was the WORST hitel experience I have had. For over 200$ a night I expected to be able to shower. I spent my shift at the hospital feeling disgusting because i wasnt able to clean myself. The room was dirty too. The mini fridge smelled DISGUSTING. The manager, being aware of the situation because I definitely told the front desk staff, should have at least reached out to me. I should not of been forced to try and track them down on multiple occasions. I have never stayed at a hotel that I couldnt shower at. The shower was down from early morning until after 6:30pm. I sleep all day because I am at the hospital from 6:30am until 6:30pm. Everyone i have told about the situation was shocked. The most shocking is the manager not even writing a note, NOTHING to apologize for this massive inconvenience.
Everything was fine except we didn't have water at all. Got here at 6:30pm hoping for a shower to refresh but 9pm comes around still no water. Had to get a bottle water just to brush my teeth. Dont get me started on flushing toilet 😤 not ok. Having to go to bed without shower feeling dirty. At that point just to tired to drive and find another hotel.
nice and safe
Very convenient for attending the Texas Longhorns game. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
A nice hotel that is close to the university. The room is pretty standard and bigger than I thought. The parking fee is a sneaky add-on fee($40). The hotel price is somewhat lower.
Close to college and downtown. Enjoyed out stay
Easily walkable and safe for our family to visit the University of Texas. Staff is incredibly inviting and willing to help in any way. Outstanding hotel experience.
Nice place good location next to campus
Everything went great! 👍👍
Stayed on the 8th floor. It was a windy night and the balcony windows were loudly creaking. It was very difficult to sleep. Tried to the mask the noise with the ceiling fan but the fan did not turn on. Also tried to mask the windows with the air conditioner but could not turn it to a setting where the fan would run constantly. They were fully booked and could not change rooms.
The big water wasn’t working for the entire time of my stay, I told the staff on day one and they said it will be fixed the next day. Never fixed, so I had to take almost just barely warm water show for 3 days of stay for $1200 price!
It is quiet, clean, and convenient. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. Our request for “lowest floor possible” is always accommodated. We’ll definitely be back.
Pillow were uncomfortable TV was broken
good value
LOVED the breakfast 10/10 WOULD MUNCH AGAIN -phuoc's daughter
Beautiful room!
Fantastic room. Had a great stay
The staff was amazingly awesome! Vicky rolled out the red carpet for me! Felt very special and did not even care about my stay! I could have slept on rocks. She went above and beyond! Great asset to the hotel.
Needs some renovations
Mattresses are so uncomfortable. Pillows as well. It felt so old and too used.
Our entire night sleep was interrupted from noisy cars. The parking was inconvenient and over priced.
AC didnt work very well so the room was very warm. AC was very loud though. The $40 parking fee was a surprise, just add that in the price of the room, or at least tell people in advance.
Great property
I like the location
I liked the location, it was close to everything I needed.
Our view was a parking lot.
Love it
I asked for a balcony with a view of the city, I got a balcony with a view of the construction. When I called in to ask some questions, I felt dismissed and as I was being rushed out the phone. Ice machine on floor did not work. $40 for parking is taking advantage of an already priced hotel that is ordinary. I would never recommend
Great location. Very friendly staff. Property seems to be in need of some upgrades. Struggled with the key cards constantly not working.
Meh
.
The staff was very sweet and professional
Nice hotel
the stay was good - I would give it a 4. The breakfast was good - I liked that there was variety each day (polish sausage yesterday, barbacoa tacos this morning) and I had never seen blueberry waffles - that was a nice add, and sugar-free syrup. A good selection of cut-up fruit and the staff was good about replenishing. -onto the room - It was very comfortable - I had a variety of pillows, but in a not great way - 2 seemed quality with nice pillowcases, whereas 2 pillows were very stiff/cheap/old with pilled pillowcases - also, the soap dispensers ...... 1) they are so high; both by sink and in shower - I am tall and they are so high for me - I cannot imagine how shorter people can use them - they are mounted such that they are at eye level, so you need to lift your arm way up and your other arm higher than your head and can barely see if something pumps into your hand. 2) the products in them seem very earthly friendly, and upscale, but maybe I need parabens or something, because they do not spread - and they were so slippery and gloppy that half of the time I would pump it into my hand (raised above my shoulder) and by the time I pulled my hand to transfer it, the blob fell to the tub floor - go back for another pump; repeat - consequently, I think I may have used 20x the amount just to get some onto my hair or body, and the shampoo wouldn't spread - had to literally put blobs all over (again using too much) to feel like it got all my hair. Looks good- could work better
Only 1 elevator working. No ICE machine working on any floor.
Property is good, room is excellent and staff are friendly. However, could not get hot water in shower and also constant machine sounds throughout the night disrupting sleep.
construction around the property that’s noisy throughout the night. avoid for the next few months
All of the hotel staff members were very nice. The hotel was clean, free breakfast was standard, with some of the options changing each day. The room was very spacious and no more than about 15mins from every place we wanted to check out. My only negatives are, one of the elevators was down during our entire stay, the shower handle was a bit loose so when you adjust the water to hot it slowly rotates back to cooler, so showers were only warm not hot, lastly I wished there were more towel racks or hooks in the room. Overall I would definitely stay here when I visit again.
The property is nice.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the manager, Rose. She was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and warm, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a wonderful bonus, offering a great start to our day. Plus, the convenient location made exploring the area easy and stress-free.
Excellent customer service. Delicious breakfast. Walkable to university and downtown. Recommend booking for your next trip!
Staff was friendly, breakfast was decent, room was a bit dusty since it had carpet flooring picture from the pool makes it look bigger it's super small other than that it's perfect for a quick stay in Austin
Amazing hotel. parking is 50 a day which is high hotel is nicely located on a quiet street but close to Guad.
Great experience overall. Staff was professional, building parking is limited so I had to park in the the garage across the street. Recommend this staff and hotel for sure
What an amazing stay! We were greeted with smiles and an amazing staff at the front desk. Our suite was clean and bed was comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful and we were walking distance to the Longhorns football game. The breakfast buffet was delicious, we will definitely stay here again.
Great service!
The decor is unique!
Great customer service from Rose when I checked in… Great location and clean Hotel. Room was fantastic s well…
Great location for game day. Easy walk to tailgates and stadium. Big rooms and great patios
Super cute hotel. Staff very friendly.
Had a great time
The hotel was nice but a few things did not work in the room. First of all the TV did not work. The picture was pixelated and messed up. We wanted to watch college football during the day and night and we couldn't. The outlet behind the bed did not work and the toilet seat looked like its been there for 15 years. The TV was a huge disappointment since college football was on.
It's a really nice place to stay. I can't think of any negatives.
We stayed her for a UT-Austin football game and it was very convenient to get to campus and the stadium. Overall the hotel was a good but a few things that could've made it better. 1) The water in the shower wasn't cold, but it also never got warm. Just stayed at a lukewarm temperature. Chatted this with other people staying at the hotel and they had the same issue too so it wasn't only our room 2) the rooftop pool is a great location but it is very small and shallow. This was fine as long as it was only our family in there, but as soon as another family showed up we had to leave as you really couldn't fit more than a couple people in the pool at a time. Overall, very convenient for the UT Campus or State Capitol visit, but hoping they can fix the hot water issue.
