The architecture of the hotel was incredible. The room that we had was clean and had an beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains. The location was perfect, only a few blocks from the main square. The free breakfast was delicious and the people that worked there were so kind and helpful.

Great breakfast and beautiful courtyard. Rooms were a bit basic but this was a much better Hampton inn than what we see in the US.
TravellerMy favorite thing was the availability of free purified water at a dispenser in the dining area. Made it so easy to refill my water bottle and not worry about getting sick from drinking water from the tap. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a little on the small side. Close to shopping and restaurants. Would stay here again.

The reception staff were excellent, but the only slight negative was the lack of customer service by a couple of restaurant staff. Overall it was an extremely positive experience and I will stay here when I return to Arequipa.

TravellerWe were amazed by the high end costumer service. After a fly from New York to Lima then an extra hour to Arequipa we were so happy to get an early check in without any extra charge, and to received a 3 beds room instead of 2 without additional cost. The rooms are new, the rooftop has an spectacular view of the cathedral towers. The entrance of the hotel is part of an old casona made of sillar( volcanic stone). The hotel is a mix of tradition, architecture beauty and modernity. The Hotel closes door at 9 pm but you ring the doorbell and someone opens it for you( we came back from the Forum club at 3:00 am walking) breakfast is incredible it was the best breakfast I ever had in a Hotel and we stayed in many hotels in the US. I came back to Arequipa after 13 years and it feels like home again, Victor was awesome! Our room service was spectacular the only recommendation would be to add mats to the showers floor because it is very slippery even with sandals. Other than that we are ready to come back, then place is clean which is ny #1 concern in every hotel, it is walkable and safe( well Arequipa is safe) thank you characatos, my kids love it.

Beautiful hotel right in the historical centre of Arequipa. In walking distance to most of the historic sights and lots of restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times . Big recommendation from us .

Tuve mala experiencia con la señorita del counter falta capacitación. No decía las cosas claras cobró otro monto del que decía y me respondió de mala forma. Sin disposición para solucionar o explicar. La camas un poco duras lo demás estaba bien.

pésimo , realizamos la reserva a través de expedía para 2 adultos y 1 menor, en febrero de 2023, al llegar al hotel nos solicitaron los 3 documentos , la reserva y el ingreso a Peru, nos ingresaron al hotel y nos cobraron la habitación para 3 personas tal como estaba la reserva . Al llegar a la habitación vemos que tiene solo dos camas , me dirijo a la recepcion para que vean que somos tres personas , ante lo cual el de la recepción me responde que tenemos 3 desayunos , pero solo 2 camas . el check in lo realizamos a las 16.15 , luego de esto , pedí hablar con el gerente , pues el recepcionista me dijo que no tienen habitaciones triple , lo llamaron y respondió que estaba manejando , que llamaría en 3 minutos . Luego que pasaron 15 minutos , pido que lo llamen nuevamente , ahí me dice que yo realice mal la reserva o que Expedía tomo mal la reserva , pues ellos NO tienen habitaciones triple. Ante esto le respondo que de haber sido así , tuvieron 3 meses para informármelo o sino , haberme informado esto antes de hacer el check in . Le dije que su personal de recepción no estaba capacitado y ahí accedió a darnos una habitación con 3 camas individuales , no sin antes tener que ir a recepción 4 veces , porque las tarjetas NO funcionaban . Recién pudimos ingresar a la habitación a las 18.45, una vergüenza y una vergüenza la habitación que nos dieron , le agregaron una cama . Otra más , el desayunador tiene disponibilidad para 20 personas adentro , el resto tiene que desayuna….

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! Everyone was super helpful, friendly, and the property is beautiful and calm. The room was comfortable and in great shape. And the breakfast was so delicious. We'd totally recommend this place and stay here again in the future!
