All good except someone smoke in a non smoking room and my room can smell smoke early in the morning. Staff should be more strict to enforce no smoking rule.

A hidden Gem!

This hotel is a real gem! It’s not big, but it’s super cute, centrally located and very comfortable! Excellent breakfast and the staff is extremely accommodating. Special thanks to Cherry for her help and kindness! This hotel is better than many of the four star hotels in the area.

Everything was terrible. I’m speechless

We loved our stay. The hotel is in the centre of the Old Quarter which makes it easy to walk everywhere. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location for all the main things in Hanoi and close to local life too! Staff were always helpful. Breakfast was fine - you could order your own meal alongside the buffet.

Beautiful property with short distance to everything you want to see and do. They’ve really made an effort to sound proof the rooms- but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for us to get a good nights sleep with all the traffic and horns sounding constantly. So we only stayed one night. But this is to be expected when staying right in the city. Staff were exceptional and spoke excellent English, super helpful and so professional.

Our overall experience with this hotel and their staff was not great. The breakfast is subpar compared to what we’ve experienced in other comparable hotels in the area. The room does not match the photo whatsoever. the hotel was extremely noisy

Good hotel in a Great Location. It was quiet quite as well considering the location. The breakfast was superb, i was surprised how good it was especially the omelette. Great affordable spot!

The hotel was in good location, walking distance from everything. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was decent size and clean. Breakfasrlt was good. Would recommend if you want to stay close to the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

Aircon blows direct to bed. Too cold. Water yellowish but ok after long flushing in bath tub

The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was decent though not too special. I remember Happy who was always happy at the reception desk.

Would stay here again

We booked a 2 bed unit, met our needs and was a good value. Staff very helpful, limited breakfast and good.

The accommodations were very comfortable. In Vietnam most hotels do not provide a top sheet for the bed like the United States. Street noise is very loud bring ear plugs. Major traffic street. Staff extremely helpful. Convenient location.

This property is at a convenient location. The room was old-bathtub was leaking water every time we shower. The toilet doesn’t flush well.

Wish I stayed another night or two.

It is in the middle of Old Quarter. Plenty of restaurants and shops all around you. Old Quarter is a big tourist area so it if very safe to walk around. You have a few historical places with in walking distance (1 KM walk). If you don’t feel like walking that far plenty of taxis and bikes willing to give you a lift.

Great place to stay!

The hotel and staff were great! They were incredibly kind and accommodating. When I had troubles with withdrawing money from ATMs for a few days, they helped me exchange my remaining dollars until the issue was resolved. If I ever have the opportunity to return, I will definitely book here again!

There are so many options for hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter, but we were very pleased with our choice of Haibay Hotel. It is perfectly located for walking trips around Old Quarter, with restaurants, coffee shops and spas literally at every turn. The property seems well maintained, the included breakfast each morning was perfect for us, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd have no problem recommending Haibay Hotel to visitors.

Hanoi city for the brave

First there were 2 guys at reception who watched us struggle with 3 luggages. We are both 60 plus. Anyway we surrendered our passports n asked to rest on the sofa. We booked for a room with city view and I believe it costs more. Was given 801 with a view of rooftops. While bathing I heard a loud pop and the tv went dead. My sister went down to inform becos the phone wasnt working too. Told to pack up and transfer to 306 but not given keys. We must pack and meet on the 3rd floor. We waited and waited since they have cctv they could see us. Finally I went downstairs and was told to move back to 801. I wouldnt have any of that. Waited again for some fidgeting and got the keys. Theres a balcony we dont use and it was noisy. The aircon wasnt cool sometimes. The water pressure is better than 801 for sure. Housekeeping staff was good. Overall staff is above average. The next door massage was good too. Basically it was an overwhelming time in the streets. We walked with the traffic becos the shop fronts have bikes parked. I learned thats an income for the shop owner. I wouldn't spend more than 2 days in the city next time I visit. Oh btw breakfast was good. The sunny side up eggs done very nicely. Thank you.

Great location in the old quarter. I followed a recommendation to request a room away from the street and didn't hear any traffic. Staff was great, food was great, highly recommended.

Great stay. -friendly, English speaking staff -great atmosphere and very clean -convenient location 5 min walk to lake Was greeted by friendly staff who carried our bags to the room, offered us welcome drinks (watermelon juice) and cold towels. The lady at reception sat down with us and explained some info about our stay—very good English. Upon checking in we were given a voucher for 2 free drinks at the roof top bar and 100,000 vnd off 500,000 spent at the hotel restaurant. The hotel lobby is beautiful with refreshing scents of lemongrass from an oil diffuser. The rooms are pleasant and very clean. The roof top bar was small but very cool atmosphere. The hotel restaurant and drinks are a bit more expensive than if you went out to a restaurant on the street, and we were somewhat disappointed with the breakfast offered but the dinner was good. Rooms have AC, 2 free water bottles, toiletries (ie. Toothbrushes, razor, etc). Very quiet rooms (we stayed in 603 and 501 — both king sized About a 5 min walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping nearby hotel. We enjoyed our first night so much we decided to stay a second. In between the two nights we did an overnight cruise in Halong Bay, and Haibay offered to store our bags for free so we didn’t have to haul all of our luggage on the boat. Would definitely recommend this! Definitely recommend to others and would stay here again ourselves if ever back in Hanoi.

John at the front desk was amazing! He was incredibly helpful with every request, from making sure the obscene amount of water I consume was in my room to arranging transportation to the airport. The hotel is very new and has a thoughtful design: attractive chevron striped wood floors, thick wood doors/windows in addition to thick glass to insulate sound, huge balcony (in suite) and a very nice layout overall. I will gladly stay at this hotel again!

The location was excellent, 5min walk to the lake and with lots of shops at your doorstep. Staff were excellent, really helpful. The rooms aren’t big, but I think that’s typical in the old quarter. Rooms were comfortable though, had all the usual facilities. A quirk to watch out for, some rooms face an inner courtyard and so people in the opposite room and in the corridor can see you if you don’t draw the curtains. The rooms were surprisingly quiet (we didn’t have the street facing room). The breakfast was good, with a good enough selection. Can order eggs or soup noodle. There is a rooftop bar which does food too - quite nice option if you feel too lazy to venture out. Other things to look out for: taxis, some have faulty meters which charge 5 times. Best to get taxis ordered through the hotel or restaurants. Try the coffees, plenty of coffee shops around. I would definitely recommend Haibay.

Great hotel right where you want it.

Room was really nice, lovely big soaking tub, good quality bed, and right in the heart of the action( there is traffic noise for this reason). The staff was helpful, English was good, and they went out of their way to do a few extras for us. We really enjoyed it.

Bathrooms could be improved. The drainage of bath water was poor resulting in flooding of the entire bathroom. They should consider putting a ledge between bath n toilet to divert the bath water into the drains. The walls between rooms are thin. I could hear my Japanese neighbour having a conversation on the phone.

The room is very clean. Lots of wood coverings. The room has a balcony. It both a wooden door and a glass sliding door. It is located centrally in the old quarter close to all the attractions and restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel is great. It has a mix of local and western food nicely prepared.

Central location

I booked a room facing the inner courtyard which was gd as I could escape the hanoi traffic noise. the hotel was v professional, well run and clean. rooms were relatively small but as expected given the hotels central location. great breakfast. got a free drink on the rooftop which was a pretty cool place to hang out.

We are glad we chose Haibay. It’s in such a convenient location- within walking distance to virtually everywhere in the Old Quarter. We never had issues finding a place to eat or something to do during our stay. The only slight nuisance was the thin walls in the building. We could hear the upstairs neighbor use the bathroom or the next door neighbor open or close the door as if they were in our hotel room. Other than that, the stay was perfect!

Godt hotel til prisen midt i livlige Ha Noi

Et ok hotel til prisen, men det ville have været rart at vide, at der hverken var rooftop bar eller restaurant... som hotellet bl.a. blev valgt på. Problemer med transporten til hotellet blev klaret flot med gratis transport til HAN 👍

위치 좋고 가성비 좋은

새벽비행기 도착인데 체크인 불편함이 없이 했고 9층이 식당인데 아침 조식으로 쌀국수와 에그 베네딕트 따로 주문받아 테이블에 가져다 주니 특별한 아침 식사가 됩니다.

Quite run down compared to pictures. Many roomed don’t have windows but only light from a light shaft. Breakfast was not good and the staff seemed quite untrained.

Un acceuil parfait et une aide constante pour regler tous les problemes du quotidien. Chambre 701 vaste et silencieuse (ne donne pas sur rue). Petit dejeuner copieux. Bonne literie et prix corrects pour l'ensemble. Je recommande vivement !

立地はすごくよかったです。 ただ、空港の送迎を頼みましたがドライバーがきていませんでした。ホテルに電話をし、車のナンバーを聞いて探し、やっと会えました。 ホテルの設備に不満はありませんが、テーブルの足元にゴキブリの死骸があったのが残念でした。
