Nice Place, but Could Use Some Improvements

The room was very clean, and the breakfast selection was excellent. There were definitely a few items that could be improved, however. 1. Someone needs spend five seconds using a drain clog cleaner in the shower drain in the room we were in because it drains very slowly. There’s probably a lot of hair in it. 2. I’m sure this won’t change, but there isn’t enough space for even two people to put their clothes. My daughter and I were there for four nights, and I had to keep all of my things in my suitcase because there were only enough shelves for her things. 3. This will also not change, but the very small exit from the parking garage is pretty bad. I damaged the front bumper of our rental car one time when I was exiting, and from the looks of the wall, I’m certainly not the only person to do that.

Refurbished, modern, excellent furniture and mattress. Fantastic breakfast!!!

Room was hot, stuffy, and noisy

No air conditioning, no fan, just a long sob story about how they didn’t want guests to control their own a/c because they might make it too cold? The room was otherwise nice, and clean, though lots of road noise. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety. However, given a choice, I would not stay here again.

I was surprised that they had gone upstairs to my room and removed my luggages after I had informed them in the morning that I would be leaving later than 12:00 noon, they had mentioned not a problem, for every extra hour we would charge you 10 Euros which I agreed... However they had my phone number as well as my email and as a courtesy to the guest they should have either called me or emailed me and asked for my permission to enter the room and removed my suitcases...Will not be going to this hotel again...

Disappointing!

While the hotel itself was well presented, and the breakfast was good, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The television in the room wasn’t working and when I reported it, the hotel staff said “yes, we know”. No offer to move me or have it fixed. The internet in the room was extremely poor. I literally had to wave my laptop above my head to get a signal and send an email! Finally, the housekeeping was poor and lacklustre. Used towels were taken but not replaced, room left untidy.

Not worthy

Wifi is poor not enough for supporting work, I lost much time. Do you need to label which price is for room close the road? you cannot charge extra when customers want to change rooms.

Nice place better if restaurant was open

The staff was very nice. The disappointment was the restaurant was o ly open for the breakfast buffet. With it being a holiday, many restaurants were closed. The bar offered "snacks" but was closed Christmas eve and day. There was no place to get a meal. The breakfast buffet was extentive and good. Housekeeping knocks loudly at 8am everyday, saying Housekeeping but they do this on the entire floor then start the cleaning.

Staff was super nice and helpful. Bathroom towels have seen better days and shower wasn’t draining and could use a deep cleaning. Beds are comfortable and room was pretty spacious but the windows were facing the street and the street lamp was shining into the room. Curtains didn’t help at all. Overall stay was good and we will definitely return.

I liked that the staff was very pleasant and friendly. The sink in the bathroom needs a little plumber job, the water does not flow down the drain quickly.

Parking fee proposed by hotel is too expensive.

the best place to stay in darmstad

i was looking for a simple and inexpensive place to sleep for a couple nights and H+ was the lowest price so i expected a real dump and was happily surprised to find a great hotel. my new favorite spot in Darmstad! the breakfast was great and the room was perfect and everyone that worked there was helpful and professional etc

I stay here all the time. It’s usually very affordable to book a business room which are much bigger than the other standard rooms. Only thing missing in the business rooms is a small refrigerator.

Always clean and breakfasts are excellent. Only problem was that coffee and juices ran out quite regularly.

High standard budget hotel....had a single room, with comfortable bed, plenty of space, good lighting, free water plus good shower. very good buffet breakfast,.free parking across the street if you don't want to pay for hotel parking 20 min walk into the city

Did not like that some food items can only be ordered at the bar which is located literally right next to the restaurant. Even though the items was listed on the menu.

A good stay in a hotel that needs some renovation. The bathroom didn't feel very clean and there wasn't that usual band around the toilet on arrival which didn't give us a good feel about it... Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast options were great. All in all the stay was ok, only shadowed by the bathroom issue.

Great hotel, it has working AC and great hot breakfast! Next door to a Rewe (grocery store) so easy to get snacks and drinks.

We got in late and night and were delighted to find free street parking right behind the hotel, though we learned they also have a garage for busier times. The staff were welcoming and helpful with our clumsy command of the language, and our room was completely clean and comfortable. I saw tough reviews that the space needs updating, but I felt like the hotel was classy for its great upkeep of older tile and decor. They had an antique shoe-shining machine near the elevators and I wish we'd explored more for gems like this. Our favorite part was the breakfast buffet with many kinds of bread, jam and honey, muesli, eggs, salami and cheese, juice and coffee. I'm so glad it began at 6am before our flight home.

AC didn't work.

Air conditioning did not work in the room. I picked the hotel partially because of AC. Luckily the record heat was over but was still too hot for a room supposed to have AC but broken.

The hotel is good. The location is a bit far from the city but still walkable. The internet is horrible.

The breakfast was exceptional. The room was quite small and the pillows were very flat.

Clean and airy rooms. Comfortable beds. No tea/coffee making facilities. Better of choice of cereals/porridge would be nice.

The hotel is very nice, the room spacious and comfortable. The only complaints are that the bar is not open during the afternoon, and the breakfast......although a very good choice, was spoiled by the table layout which was very crowded. However, overall we were satisfied and will probably return.

Staff were extra helpful at midnight checkin. Breakfast was very good with actual scrambled eggs not powdered eggs like many other places. Some error with my bill at checkout but soon corrected. The outside of the building is a bit drab but room was comfortable and clean. It is not near anything, and no shops around except a supermarket that closes at 10pm. Overall ok, but at 136 a night feels too much for what you get

Convenient and nice

We spent one night in this hotel, and were very satisfied by its service! We needed a last-minute place to stay in Darmstadt, and found this with a good price and included breakfast, so, we booked it. Check in was very easy, staff was very friendly, despite it being past 10 PM. The rooms were comfortable, bathroom spacious, and everyone got a good rest. The breakfast was really good, it offered a lot of options, and everything was tasty and fresh. Definitely recommend the hotel!

Nice hotel, easy access to main roads.

Hotel was nice but pricey though Darmstadt itself can be pricey. Most hotel staff were very nice though a couple did not seem too interested in helping us gather information that we needed. Room was clean which is important to us. Parking was okay.

Good Value

Family visit to Darmstadt and this hotel is in the perfect position for me as just minutes away from their flat. Not very close to the City itself and very walkable.

Too far from the airport

It was much further from the airport than I was led to believe. I had to take a bus to Darmstadt's central station and then a taxi to the hotel. The restaurant was under renovation and therefore closed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bright and clean. The free breakfast was excellent and the wifi worked well. I'd stay here again if it were not so far from the Frankfurt airport.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel. Only small complaint was that the menu for dinner was fairly limited, but we found a lovely Spanish restaurant only 5 mins walk away. However the breakfast was excellent....

I've booked business room but internet was not workung at all un that roo so I need to change the room buf for lower quality level. Still there was a problem with a signal but at least was working slowly. They have offer me garage for free for this . But I am not happy because I neede high spees. This is not good. Need to improve a lot. Others was ok.

Good hotel near center of Darmstadt

Hotel was quiet and comfortable and a short walk from downtown. The hotel breakfast was great.

An absolutely “fine” hotel: legitimately no frills and, to be completely honest, a solid 3 star... not 4.

Great hotel!

No information in the room on basic things like wifi access and the phone no. for reception, restaurant hours. Room very dark with only a bedside lamp. No kettle to make tea/coffee. Receptionist at check in unhelpful. Room noisy as alongside a busy road.

Comfy hotel in a quiet location.

Covient parking next to hotel for 10 euros a day. Breakfast included which was great one as well. Room was clean and spacious. Would stay here again if I was in the area.

Wow! You are going to be very happy!

When we drove up, we were not sure because the sign only said HOTEL on top where another word had been. But once we walked through the door, it was bliss. We were given an upgrade to a truly marvelous room. It had a dozen long windows in an expanded wide bay area with views over the city. Hard to describe - unbelievable! The beds were crisply white with lovely down comforters for the season. Bath was extremely large and even had a bath scale. Breakfast boasted over 50 selections, but there were surely more. Hot and cold entrees; wonderful selection of bread options, meats, yogurts, cereals, cheeses and drinkse + more. We enjoyed a buffet dinner the night before which was also outstanding. I was blown away when I asked for water, and she said, "Tap?" When I said yes, she brought me a pitcher of ice water; first in Europe for me. The English speaking staff was as helpful as the restaurant staff, answering my numerous questions about travel into Paris the next day. Stay here!

Nothing special

Accommodation was fine. Facilities in room are limited - no tea/coffee or kettle for example. Television has very limited choice for English language. There was no wifi in the room. Breakfast was great.

Great hotel, clean and very friendly staff

All staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. The room and all public areas were very clean. The business room was better than expected, bright and airy. Great location and would fully recommend. We didn't manage to figure out the wifi but this wasn't a major factor for us.

Comfortable stay in Darmstadt

Nice comfortable hotel, but couldn't get the air-con working to warm the room up. Could have asked but arrived late, very tired, needed sleep! Woke up cold in the night. The WiFi was free and no password but was very intermittent and cut in and out. Road noise could be high if you want the window open, but thats what air-con is for! But apart from that, the bed was very comfortable on the 4th floor. breakfast buffet style was good/

There was a restaurant and bar. It was further than I expected from the Hbf. Neighborhood was pretty quiet. Lots of construction so it seemed weird, but all was good.

Positives: - spacious room and bathroom - comfy bed - efficient airconditioning Negatives: - location about 25 min from the railway station and the centre (on foot) - a big construction site next door (waking you up at 7) - looks like it will go on for quite a long time… - breakfast would have been plentiful if the trays had been refilled - we went for breakfast three times between 8.30 and 9am and every time half of the dish plates were empty and unless you asked, the staff didn’t refill them. It was a pain to ask them to bring more cheese/juice/vegetables/coffee cups etc.

Tranquillo fuori dal centro

Hotel un pò fuori dal centro ma raggiungibile in 10 munuti a piedi. Personale gentile. Camera ampia, letti comodi. Solo 2 bottigliette d'acqua e nessun minibar. Bagno grande ma con la vasca da bagno molto scivolosa anzicchè la doccia. Nessun kit da bagno, solo sapone con il dispenser. Colazione dolce quasi assente e fredda, quella salata invece varia anche se di qualità non eccelsa ma buona. Hall e zone comuni carine anche per prendere una birra la sera.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt gut. Das 3. Bett im Zimmer und die Bauarbeiten bis 18:00Uhr abends haben den Einsruck etwas gestört. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück hervorragend.

Leider war unser Zimmer an der Zwischentür im Flur und die ging ab ca 7.00 Uhr ständig auf zu aber mit lautem Knall, also an ausschlafen war nicht zu denken. Sie Bar macht Samstag um 22.30 Uhr zu was wir auch nicht so gut fanden. Hätten gerne noch was getrunken vor dem Schlafen gehen. Das Hotel ist sauber und modern und das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Man kann sogar draußen frühstücken, was sehr schön ist.

Es war alles in Ordnung.

Weekend à Darmstadt

L'hotel est très bien situé, proche du centre ville. On peut se garer aux alentours dans la rue. C'est très calme. Le staff est agréable. Le petit déjeuner très bon. Merci pour cet agréable séjour!

Tutto bene in generale. Solo qualche precisazione; avevo prenotato una camera matrimoniale superior dove, secondo la descrizione, sarebbe dovuto esserci un letto matrimoniale più due singoli ma in realtà c'era solo un letto matrimoniale. Il prezzo del parcheggio, 14 euro a notte, mi è sembrato eccessivo.

Mycket trevligt hotell med sköna sängar, bra frukost och fint bemötande. Hundar välkomnades med egen ”goodiebag”. Parkering under hotellet, praktiskt och säkert.

Wochenendaufenthalt

Insgesamt bin ich nicht wirklich zufrieden. Viele Kleinigkeiten, die am Ende doch die Bewertung nur mittelmäßig werden lässt. Aufzug kaputt, sehr kleines Zimmer, Frühstücksraum am Sonntag morgen zwischen 8:30 und 10:30 völlig überfüllt und deshalb so gut wie nichts am Buffet. Nur eine funktionierende Kaffeemaschine mit lauwarmen Kaffee und relativ gleichgültige Mitarbeiter, die sich eher mit Unterhaltungen untereinander als mit dem Auffüllen des Buffets beschäftigt haben. Am Ende wurde mir die Hotelrechnung zweimal von der Kreditkarte abgebucht, obwohl ich dem Kollegen am Morgen darauf hinweisen habe, dass der Mitarbeiter am Abend die Karte schon belastet hat. Positiv hervorzuheben ist lediglich das relativ bequeme Bett. Hätte hier gerne etwas anderes geschrieben.

Für eine Nacht eine super Möglichkeit! Wir waren zufrieden. Das Frühstück fanden wir absolut ausreichend!

Gutes solides Hotel, 10 Minuten Fußweg in die Innenstadt. Frühstücksbüffet mit guten Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Ich hatte einen guten Aufenthalt und würde jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Super imødekommende og god service!

Havde brug for overnatning på vores gennemrejse, og det var nemt at bokke, nemt at chekke ind og ud og i det hele taget en super service.

Fantastisk service, ligger tæt på autobahn og let at køre til og fra. Morgenmaden var super, tjenerne var hele tiden opmærksomme og servicen var i top. Desværre var det ikke muligt at få aftensmad på hotellet, fik gode anbefalinger af receptionisten

Einfaches, gutes Hotel, gutes Frühstück. Bäder hätten mal eine Renovierung verdient. Und der Zimmerservice sollte NACH 22 Uhr (!!) nicht mehr lautstark unterwegs sein.

Nice surprise.though the decor is a bit tired. The room was large, there was an expresso machine !!! The staff were very helpful and the free breakfast excellent!

Et rigtig godt hotel, som vi kørte hen til 15 minutter efter vi havde reserveret et værelse. Pæne store rene værelse med gode senge og en dejlig morgenmad med bredt udvalg.

Wurden gut empfangen. Das Frühstücksbuffet liess nichts zu wünschen übrig und das Zimmer war sauber.

We had a nice and very pleasent stay. The room was clean, spacious, and the room service (and the service in general) were very friendly and able to help. The breakfast was great. The only thing is that the hotel is not the most modern one. But as I said: room and service were really great.

Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen! Das Zimmer war sauber und das Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war super, es gab neben den klassischen Wurst- und Käsebrötchen z.B. frischen Schnittlauch oder Ingwer für den Tee. Was mir jedoch gefehlt hat, sind mehr vegane Optionen für das Frühstück, insgesamt war es leider sehr fleischlastig.
