I can't speak Mandarin and the staff made extra efforts, including using a phone app for translation, to help me. In the restaurant they found a menu in English and a member of staff who spoke English. I checked in had dinner and crashed - after a 13-hour flight - so otherwise didn't get involved with hotel facilities apart from the coffee shop.
Great access to metro; staff are welcoming.
Mostly Good, Stayed Twice This Time
A very surprising and economic hotel, very large and attractive with a grand lobby and spacious rooms. In addition, the Sales Manager, Vanessa, was very helpful, arranging with me even before I arrived to receive my much needed Tibet Permit that was presented to me upon checking in. My main complaint and typical of Asia, few hotel employees spoke English and those who did spoke it poorly. With many Western travelers, even Asian ones, there is reliance upon English as the international travel language. Another complaint, the staff did not understand that if a mobile phone is on Airplane Mode, they should never turn it off, especially not telling the guest, while attempting to help them connect to the hotel's wifi. Several insisted wifi did not work with Airplane Mode, though it is precisely to be used that way when not desiring the phone to be subject to huge data charges. In one instance, while in my room dealing with my TV as well, my attention was not on my phone when the bellman gave me my phone with wifi. I later called a friend in USA, something wifi calling permits for free, only to see later, the hotel man had turned off Airplane Mode, causing me a charge for the call! Later, another tried to turn it off again! Finally, I went to Xi'an for 2 days, leaving my luggage. When I returned at 3pm, the reception clerk said my room wouldn't be ready until 8pm. Really? She insisted, I raised my voice, asked for Vanessa and amazingly the room was available. Very poor form.
Clean rooms, good AC for the hot weather. Very friendly staff, shout out to the housekeeping staff for timely services. Check in and check out were both very smooth. Location is near metro stations. My friend was also able to park their car for free when they came to visit or pick me up. Overall very good stay for the price we paid.
Great hotle!👍
Staying at hotel from 1/22 to 1/26. The bathroom was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the service was exceptional. Credit to Anita and the washing room manager for their efficient room cleaning and quick wash and dry service. I was able to get my clothes back within two hours! I highly recommend this hotel located in the heart of Guanganmen, with great food within walking distance. Only small issue is automatic mail delivery storage was located outside and had no English instructions, but otherwise an excellent experience.
It was amazing, clean, luxurious, sweet services. Good Impression of Face ID entry hotel, feel more safer. subway station 1 mins to walk, convenient to get where you want to go. Will come back again.
Convenient for the transportation and the staff were nice and met my request quickly. There are also exercise floor but sad to see Spa is gone.
Bad service
Hotel building is okay but the staff is horrible and negligent. I book hotel shuttle weeks before my trip yet they didn’t come to pick me up. I had to get a Taxi (first timer in Beijing). Also, unlike other hotels they still have not given me the deposit back yet. They say it will take 7-10 days. I got the refund immediately from other hotels. NOT RECOMMENDED
Luxury and Modern-great service
We were visiting our daughter who lives in China and Beijing was our last leg of a two week trip. The hotel has great security and very upscale. Our rooms were excellent and the service was great. There were some slight language translation challenges but the staff was very helpful. Bathrooms are wonderful with extra amenities and the beds were large and we had pillow selections. Excellent place to stay!
Great hotel and helpful staff
An excellent hotel with great clean rooms/bathroom, and well supplied - fresh fruit on arrival, free items from the mini-bar on the first night, and all the toiletries. The staff were extremely helpful on checking in, and made all the taxi arrangements to get me all the way across town to get to a brewpub. The breakfast is an excellent Chinese buffet, including hot and cold made-to-order dishes, and a selection of Western items. The level of English is good, though I did have to use google translate on one occasion due to a misunderstanding though this was not a huge issue. The staff also arranged a taxi to Capital airport. Recommended.
Not commanded
I stayed 12 nights,I had problem with pillow I had pain in the neck from pillow, when you sleep you can hear voice car from street, the swimming pool and gym open for public and it is very busy and dirty,in entrees door they security cheek I got feel bad when I am going to room.
Clean and fine.
Close to train station. Not much else to do here. Nice staff. Comfy room.
All is good at grand metro park especially front counter staff. Very polite and friendly. Daily room cleaning by house maid and the room itself was very grand
Decent 4-star hotel
Overall good stay. Clean room with all standard amenities. Conveniently located. Onsite restaurant is pretty decent.
Hotel was newly renovated and staffs are friendly.
Professional and nice staff! Clean room. Very pleased and closed to subway about 5 min walking from hotel to metro.
like the power toliet so much. The staff there was so friendly, helped me with a delivery and taxi when we checked out in the early morning.
quick check-in, comfortable room, great buffet breakfast, convenient to the subway
Loved the bidet!
This hotel was excellent! I loved the bidet in our room, Im actually going to buy one now!
Very good service
The hotel was recommended by a Chinese friend. It’s close to her house. The staff is very nice and eager to please. Not much English spoken but enough to get by especially with a translator app. Breakfast is not included and a bit pricy (about 16 is dollars) It’s a huge buffet and no choice of a simple option. There is a Starbucks knock off i. The lobby though. The room is not fancy but perfectly good. Close to a metro. Good value
Good trip
good location, 5 minutes walk to subway station. Close to north south train station and west train station. The hotel room is ok, but there is a smoking smell in room.
Nice hotel close to subway and very clean.
Excellent service and close to subway and restaurants. Have spa and exercise room which is well equipped.
Price too high for what it offers. Breakfast for only one person, additional breakfast too high priced. Free parking. Good access to subway.
Excellent Hotel
Not really convenient for exploring Beijing. However...we were just looking for a comfortable hotel close to the train station as we had train tickets for the the next morning.
A recommended place to stay.
Our experience was excellent. It is a superb modern hotel. Excellent location with regards to metro, buses, bank services for exchange, adjacent restaurants. The staff is very friendly, though the English abilities are extreemly limited. A recommended place to stay.
Well located, decent weekend rates
Clean. Decor is dated in a sense but tidy and acceptable for the proce. Only criticism is that the shower needed re-plumbing; a bit weak.
Get what you pay
We got a great deal on a room at this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful but the room we were assigned was very old and outdated. The staff even explained to my wife that we got a great deal because the room was in bad shape. Not what I would expect. Also, considering this is supposed to be an international convention type hotel it was very disappointing that only 1 or 2 staff could speak English.
No a/c
Temperature 0 and roms without a/c. No heather as replacement. Staff speaks vert poor English.
So far happy to stay again
Very convenience to access all shop restaurants and supermarkets, airport bus just outside, the room is big enough and Wi-Fi works fast too. All staffs very friendly. The only thing I would maintion about that if you got young child just be careful the Windows, they can open very easily. The baby cot is free of charge if available, however the cot mattress very hard and my 2 years old keeping wake up have to put her to sleep next to me in the end.
Worst Hotel ever
This is one of the worst stay I ever had. There was no AC during night time. The room temperature was hovering at 26-27 Degree Celsius. And the bed was as hot as oven. I wonder how one is able to sleep under this warm May Weather. We make the complain to the hotel reception and there was nothing that they can do. If there are concern about the electricity bill, then please shut the hotel for good then. I have never had stay at any hotel that shut down the Air Conditioning before during the month of MAY stay here in China. Even the cab/ taxi driver already switch on the Air condition during day time.
3 stars quality
Close to the metro station
Not so good stay
Although a 4 star hotel, I must say the stay was disappointing after 6 nights. Room on the top floor was good size with decent district views. The bed was really hard, woke up a few times when I turned during the night. Water pressure was poor, made it hard to wash my long hair. Also hot water wasn't hot enough. I constantly smelt smoking which somehow leaked into my room. Called staff but they pretended they couldn't smell the strong cigarette smoke and just offered to spray my room with deodorant, refused to tell neighbour guests to stop smoking inside. No individual air-con in the room as only one centrally controlled air-con for the entire hotel which was on the cold side, I almost caught a cold. Free water was supplied each day which was good but the breakfast on offer is way too expensive so didn't bother trying. Good location as just 3mins walk to the subway. Indoor pool and gym are all getting renovated which takes a month so I couldn't use these. Overall, won't stay here again and the hotel doesn't feel 4 star unfortunately.
Good quality hotel close to subway
Location of the hotel is slightly off the centre, but only 5 min walk from the nearest subway station. If you have to connect from airport express or Beijing train station, expect to change subway lines couple of times. Hotel is not that new but it doesn't look old and my room is quite well maintained. Staff I encountered were pretty friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the handle of my suitcase and 3 staff came to work on it. When I needed a taxi, the bell boy was very quick to organise, and sightseeing information including a free Beijing map was provided delightfully. I'm able to speak some Mandarin so their English skill was not tested. The room is quite spacious, quiet and clean. The bed is of the firmer type (quite typical in China) but suits my weak back well. The price of this hotel is sort of higher than similar grade hotels, so value for money is slighly below par.
good
Neighbourhood is good but not great! People are nice and helpful. Clean and pleasant.
Large and clean room and a great pool
I recently stayed there for five days and overall it was a great experience as a business hotel. For me personally, the best feature of the hotel is its pool. I am a daily swimmer and the pool is great draw for me. It is large and clean and usually very quiet. In addition, the room is fairly large and clean and the staff was usually very helpful. Even though the hotel is not located in the middle of things in Beijing, the good thing is that the subway station is just steps away. In fact, I am going back to this hotel tomorrow for a few more days as I still have unfinished business in Beijing.
excellent hotel and services
I have been visited many countries and always stayed in a decent hotel. I always spend good time in this hotel, because I really like its clean and service. The personnel has been well trained. The employee in front desk get everything done faster and smooth. the room clean up pretty thorough. also it is quite convenient closed to subway and transportation.
quality of service
staff very friendly ,very helpfull , food very nice , overall a nice stay.
Nice, clean hotel, conveniently located.
Nice hotel. Fitness room and 16m lap pool. Our room had 2 twin beds, nice and comfortable. The cleaning staff were really nice and helpful. Location is great! right next to subway station Line 7. Walking distance to a bunch of fast food restaurants and many small mom and pops food stands.
Good stay in Beijing
Nice, comfortable hotel for business traveler, one block from the subway. Room was large and modern. Three restaurants to choose from. The main restaurant is buffet style with lots of choices. Overall a good experience.
Excellent hotel
I travel a lot of countries during past several years. This hotel is very comfortable hotel for me. the front desk staffs are well trained personnel, room is clean, service is good.
Great stay !
disappointing
very poor service for the price. very poor service, period.
UNSPECTACULAR
ENGLISH SERVICE SUBSTANDARD. HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS AND THEY WERE NEVER RESOLVED TO MY SATISFACTION BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF ENGLISH UNDERSTANDING. FREE BREAKFAST INCLUDED BUT A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE. WAITING STAFF DO NOT DO A GOOD JOB. TABLES ARE LEFT IN A SEMI SET POSITION, YOU HAVE TO GO FIND YOUR OWN ITEMS THAT ARE MISSING. NO COFFEE OFFERED OR REFILLS GIVEN. BOOK A ROOM FOR 2 GUESTS AND THE PRICE FOR THE SECOND BREAKFAST IS OUTRAGEOUS. FANCY LOOKING HOTEL BUT LIKE LIPSTICK ON A PIG.
Kind disappointment this time
I usually stay this hotel when I visit Beijing. I gave the best review two years ago. unfortunately thing is changed. 1, toilet in bath room does not function correctly; 2, breakfast charging varies depends on the person who is in charge; 3, the person who was in front desk did not have good mood in the morning check out. Hopeful It will be changed next stay there. Joseph
Large room and good location
Even tho' it is the standard room, it is large enough to have 2 beds and a sitting area with loveseat, coffee table and a 2nd desk. Bathroom has plenty of counter space. There is a mini bar with a fridge. Large closet has safe for valuables. The only negative comment is the carpet. It is old, stained and needs to be replaced. Everything else is wonderful. I even had a smoking room ( there are ash trays on the desks), but I cannot for the life of me smell any cigarette smell in my room. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate with many items to suit every taste. It is RMB $130 from the airport. The best part is next door to the building is a Massage place by the blind run by the City of Beijing for the benefit of the totally or partially blind massage professionals. Each person has been trained for 3 years. One hour full body massage is RMB $100. Win-win situation.
Great hotel. Friendly staff
The stay was very comfortable. Had trouble getting taxis to the hotel. Had the address written in Chinese. Still taxis could not locate the hotel easily. Other than that everything is wonderful.
A smoky and unclean environment
If there is anything that I hate... Its cigarette smoke. As I arrived in the lobby the smell was intense... but I said to myself that in the room it would be different... but no... the room had old carpet and a very strong smell of tabacco... non smoking room... I guess we each have our own view on what should be a non smoking room.. I will not return to this hotel
Very good hotel and service
bed room is very clean, food is good and all other facilities, swiming pool and gym very good too.

Stayed 5 nights. The breakfast is good. The dinning room for dinner is excellent.
