No WiFi connection the first night and the receptionist said she is in an apprenticeship and she can't do anything about because the manger at his home. The catering lady Marcela was the best person. The area was not vibrant

Perfect location and pool schedule

Very good.location is perfect. Mid way between Sagrada Familia and Barceloneta. I would have like the pool to stay open later than 6h00pm, but then again— not a big issue.

Great hotel and easily accessible to see all of Barcelonas attractions. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. We were upgraded to a room with a large terrace which was great. Would definitely here again.

Good location

It’s easy to access sightseeing and shopping in Barcelona. The hotel staff are very professional and provide excellent guest service. I really liked my room on the top floor with a terrace that included a view of the Sagrada Familia.

The room was comfortable and upgrade, the shower was a plus. Breakfast was not included but the quality was good we don't minded paying extra. The only downside is the very small swimming pool. The receptionists were very attentive and courteous.

Stayed here for 4 nights and was absolutely perfect. Walked 20mins to see Sagrada, everything is in close proximity. Rooftop pool was great! Staff was incredible. We didn’t have breakfast included, however every morning I went down to the bar and ordered a Coffee and the wonderful lady always brought me a cookie to have with it.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Glass of champagne on arrival which was a nice touch. Room was fine but basic means no view just looking out on an internal block. Pool was fine but not like the photos - very small and with basic beds but with towels. All in all a good experience but expensive for what you get.

Our stay at this property was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks largely to the exceptional staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Marien and Victor. The rest of the reception staff, led by Sabrina, set the tone for our visit professionally and attentively. They seamlessly handled our check-in process since we had 2 separate bookings and had to extend our stay for 2 more nights; they also provided valuable local insights that enriched our stay. Throughout our time here, every encounter with the staff was marked by genuine warmth and a sincere desire to make our experience memorable. The housekeeping team deserves special commendation for their meticulous attention to detail. Our room was immaculately clean each day making it a true sanctuary after exploring the city. While the room is basic, it is functional & most importantly, clean. At the restaurant, the gentleman who assisted us each morning at breakfast greeted us warmly and because we were there for a 9 days, came to know our usual orders. Kent at the bar was always smiling and ready for a jovial good night as we retired for the day. In conclusion, our stay at Grupotel Gran Via 678 was made unforgettable not only by its comfortable accommodations but most importantly by the extraordinary staff who exemplify hospitality at its finest. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Barcelona.

Great location. Close access to the metro. Not right in the heart of the busy tourist areas but accessible via walking or metro. We booked the family suite which was 2 connecting rooms, which was perfect for our family.

Prime location

Stayed at Grupotel Hotel in Barcelona and I highly recommend it. The front desk staff is very welcoming. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The hotel's location is ideal in a safe neighborhood, 4 blocks from Plaza Catalunya and with easy access to Hop on buses. I loved being able to explore the city easily. Overall, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. The combination of its prime location, reasonable rates, buffet breakfast, accommodations, and outstanding service makes it a perfect choice for those visiting Barcelona.

Amazing stay, lovely room, with walk-in shower and fabulous teracce in front of the pool, with private loungers, chairs and table. Plenty of space. Big flattv. Minibar which does cool the drinks. We got upgrade and bottle of cava for my birthday. Perfect location to and from airport, 2 subways nearby, buses 100m away. Great dinning options nearby. Loved the rooftop bars in close vincinity. Staff was great too.

Staff were really friendly, always cheerful and polite and very helpful. Everyone spoke excellent English which was a real bonus as only one of our party spoke Spanish. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, shower adequate. Only negative is that the restaurant could have been more vegan friendly.

A place in a corner very safe and with many options

The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was savory with a little sweet, plenty of juices and a variety of coffees and teas. A lot of choices. The hotel was very centrally located. We could walk to many attractions.

The staff are amazing. The rooms are adequate but small. The bed was very firm. The rooftop pool is on a rooftop, but on the second floor surrounded by buildings but still beautiful for sunrises. They will keep your luggage after you check out and properly vetted whom’s bag belonged to whom. The location odds perfect. Easy access but not a tourist flooded area. Was unable to take a bath even though it is a bath. The plug didn’t close. The breakfast really isn’t worth it when you consider how cheap breakfast is at bakery’s and coffee shops.

Location was great 10 minute walk to Playa Catalunya. Nice hotel with friendly welcoming staff. The pool is very small but a nice suntrap. Rooms are comfortable with good showers and bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing, the hot food was cold and not fresh, juices not chilled.

Safe and centrally located with great location to walk and enjoy the popular places to see and eat in Barcelona. Great value for the money. Ample room and full size, modern bathroom. Check in staff and room attendant are very friendly welcoming. Two elevators is a plus.

The unique is the location, access fo tranapodration and centric. What I didn't like it was the room, too small. Uncomfortable bed.

The staff were professional and helpful. Rooms were clean and a good size. Very important to me, the window opened a little which allowed for fresh air. We enjoyed the breakfast which is more than Continental, with a few vegan options.

The Hotel is in a great location on the Gran Via. Walking distance to all of the great amenities, shopping, dining and tourist attractions in Barcelona. The hotel staff was exceptional and responsive. Front desk and house keeping staff were great. Hotel located on the high-end area of the Gran Via, along with other high brand hotels. Always great to have a hotel with a pool in the middle of the city. Easy to get to by public transportation and taxi. Quick walk to Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, High end shopping area, nightlife and more.

Rooms were quite small but the location was the ideal place that allowed us the opportunity to walk to all our locations. Was not offered an upgrade or any other benefit.

Nice hotel but pool very disappointing

We had a lovely stay as a family at Grupotel Barcelona. The rooms were great as were the bathrooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Negatives - you have to pay extra for parking, the breakfast wasn't great for the price and the pool and surrounding decking area is tiny. We booked this hotel based on the parking and the pool which was very disappointing. I also had to contact the property many times prior to the booking to request interconnecting rooms for our family or at least rooms next to each other. This was still not done by the day we were due to arrive.

Property was well maintained, modern, nice breakfast buffet, all staff really friendly and welcoming. However my only reservation was that the internet was not as strong as I would have liked and quite intermittent for the room I was staying in.

Short City break

Hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the aerobus stop in Plaça de Catalunya. It is on a busy road but the soundproofing is good so not a problem. We were greeted by friendly reception staff who made a point of finding a room for us when we arrived earlier than the checkin time. This was a bonus as we had just been expecting to drop off our luggage. Our room was comfortable and there was a good selection available for breakfast. The only downside was our room was initially made up as a double when we had requested a twin. Perhaps the early checkin caused confusion. This was sorted for the following day. There is a lovely tapas bar just a couple of doors down from the hotel which is a great option after a busy day of sightseeing. Would recommend the hotel as a base for a city break.

Grupotel Barcelona

The hotel is lovely and friendly and a perfect location. Just far enough from the hustle and bustle but close to the metro and a 10-15 minute walk to Las Rambla. Just be aware that on the Hotel website it says that breakfast is included when you click on the box that says “Breakfast included” it does not. You will see that in brackets they there is a supplement for breakfast. I was a little disappointed as we specifically like to have breakfast before we venture out so beware. But nice place.

Good not great

Hotel is in a beautiful part of town, but the hotel itself is extremely Spartan with very little amenities. Given the price that seemed a little out of balance. The pool is a total joke it is extremely small and not useful. There are essentially no amenities on site even this sort of basic things that you might expect to see. The room itself was good and comfortable and the transaction was smooth, but given the price we would have expected to see a little bit higher quality in terms of the overall atmosphere and experience.

The hotel and staff are amazing and is in a great location to get to most attractions. The metro stations are really close. Only negative is the pool is only 7m x 2m. So photo is misleading. Did not affect our stay.
