Great place!

Al momento de llegar al hotel tuve una situación extremadamente desagradable con el recepcionista de nombre Juan, con comentarios xenofobicos hacia mi familia, al momento de solicitarle la atención del gerente o superior a cargo se negó a solicitarlo. No nos hospedamos por recomendación de la policía que tuvo que intervenir en la situación ya que se tornó muy delicada para nosotros. Quisiera hablar con un asesor de Expedia y solicitar el reembolso tengo todas las pruebas para demostrar el mal trato y falta de respeto a nosotros

Everything was excellent. The heat in the property was not yet turned on so we had to get several blankets which was fine for sleeping but was cold in the room otherwise and horrible for showers.

Grums Hotel

Average hotel. Staff was super nice. Spa was good. Really good location. Dinner menu was small.

They serve breakfast but it is unbelievably good huge buffet and delicious

Excellent place to stay. The front desk crew check us in as soon as they have rooms available. They held out our luggage. They even brought our luggage up to the rooms from the bellhop, which I thought was an excellent. Also, there is a lot of construction going on on the streets to replacing electric line sewer lines you name it so there’s lots of little detours that you have to do lots of walkable things to do. We would have four days straight. We did miles and miles of walking every day.

Great hotel, lovely service. Only downfall was the area. Only a short walk to la Rambla however it was quite stinky and walking past lots of homeless people. However since we explored the city this was quite common everywhere and Nothing the hotel could help!

I loved it here. We had the best time! The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Walking distance to everything. We stayed here before our cruise.

Room is of decent size. Beds are comfortable. Good toiletries and amenities. Staff are nice and friendly. Area is safe and convenient if you are going on a cruise. The only slightly negative comment is that the room is a bit rough on the edges… the sink area in particular would be great to have a refurbishment. Its clean but looks run down.

Very good value for money

We needed one night in a hotel before our cruise. This hotel was just the ticket Very nice staff. Rooms were clean and bright. They had all the amenities in the bathroom that you could imagine- toothbrush and toothpaste. Shaving cream and a razor. Shampoo etc. and a really nice shower The breakfast was excellent and delicious

Restaurant in the hotel had good food options, but the service was slow. In the room, the bathroom had a large shower, but the sink was in the bedroom. There was nowhere to put open suitcases except for the bed. We were comfortable, but rooms were smaller than I expected. Easy access to Hop On Hop Off buses, statue of Columbus, and La Ramblas.

Hotel ok , comfortable room not a nice view over local houses. Staff polite on reception and in the bar. As wedid not want to go out for food 1 night we decided to stay and eat in the restaurant but when we went for food at 7.30pm we were told all the 3 main dishes were unavailable so we ended up eatinf out after all Location good for la ramblas, airport, and very good for cruise port

Nice hotel, awful area

This hotel was really nice, lovely staff, great room, big and spacious, lovely toiletries. The room was v cold and the air con wouldn't go off no matter what! The area is shady as hell too

Positive - the room was quite nice, a decent size and clean. Negatives - The hotel is a little bit out of the centre and it's really not a nice area. There are also pictures which suggest a pool but this is actually a jacuzzi which is part of the spa and costs €16 / person. The worst part was the staff, very unhelpful in general and if you do decide to stay here (which I wouldn't recommend) make sure you are very careful of your belongings! We left something at the room of value which disappeared (obviously our fault for leaving in the first place so not blaming them for that) but it's not a nice feeling that you can't trust the hotel staff you are staying with. They were also less than helpful about the situation, as we called them multiple times asking them to check the room and each time they said they would call us back but didn't and didn't respond to messages. Overall it's overpriced for not a very nice hotel and unhelpful staff , don't recommend!

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was modern and clean. Breakfast was an amazing buffet. The surrounding area was nice and had plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Hotel rooms are very clean. Hallways could use a vacuum and maybe new carpet. Pretty dirty and worn. Maybe put the room numbers on the door not on the floor. Staff were very nice and helpful. Didn't care for the area.

We had a fantastic stay. Great location right next to Las Rambalas and the water front. Great quality hotel, not that expensive. Only complaint the pool is part of the spa. You have to pay to go into it. Otherwise excellent all around.

Great location close to port and Gothic Quarter. Clean rooms and excellent service, plus very good quality breakfast selection. Good spa if a little expensive given the time limit of 50 mins on usage.

Disappointed

This hotel is way too expensive for what you get. The breakfast is very good, and the front desk people are very nice. The location is near things, but the neighborhood is not great. And there were bugs in the bathroom. I confirmed my return booking after a 7-day cruise for 1 night before I left for the cruise and yet they had canceled it upon my return saying they didn't have my credit card information after charging it $1400 for our first stay. Never ever will stay here again there are better hotels. We moved to Hotel Concordia and it was nicer and cheaper.

Great stay. Close to metro, beach, La Rambla. I’d stay again and recommend it.

Wonderful hotel and excellent staff, easily walkable and great stay before a cruise

This hotel is in a residential neighborhood. As tourists, we were forced to walk significant distance or take Ubers to get anywhere. We had a high-end terrace room. One day, the cleaning staff left the door open. When we returned to our room, it was swarmed with large flies. They wanted to spray toxins all around the room and our belongings. I said this was not acceptable and just dealt with flies everywhere. Not Worth the money we spent. I would not stay here again.

All staff were great - friendly and polite but Andrei (front desk) was excellent. Really helpful when checking us in. Nothing was a problem. He helped with some excellent practical tips for getting around the city, as well as good recommendations of places to eat etc. Rooms were clean, fresh and well presented. Rituals products were appreciated. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The selection and quality was amazing. It was regularly refreshed and staff were constantly clearing dishes. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

They are extremely accommodating with early checkin and if the room was not available they would gladly hold your luggage until the room was ready. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, morgen and comfortable. I definitely appreciated an early communication before our trip from the hotel. I totally recommend this hotel.

It was fine.

The hotel was amazing! Stayed prior to our cruise and loved the quiet local of the hotel but the convenience and proximity to the busier parts of the city! Would definitely stay again as no time to use the spa, but it also looked amazing. Florencia at the front desk was very sweet and always helpful. Suggestions for where to go from all of the staff was wonderful. Great place if you are looking for a quiet place to stay in the city that is easy to get to!

After paying so much for the room have to pay for breakfast

We booked Grums Hotel and Spa in Barcelona very last minute and chose it because of its good location near Las Ramblas and the metro station. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive aspect of our stay. The room had several issues. The sink was outside the room and the room was quite dirty. We had booked a room for four people, but there were only three USB ports available for charging, which was not convenient at all. The floor was dirty, and we had to ask for slippers. Additionally, there was a fly in our room throughout our stay. The ‘queen bed’ was two single beds joined together and if I am being honest they were rock solid. The staff were not as friendly as I expected, they barely greet you and feel like they are judging when requesting some help. They did not bring up the iron when requested and did not offer to carry our four bags, even though my friends were not around to help me. The fixtures and fittings in the room were bad and seemed out of place. It might be expensive because of its good location, but the hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating. Exactly at 12 pm, the cleaner knocked on our door twice and we received phone calls to leave the room. It was frustrating to be rushed so much as soon as it was 12pm. Overall, I would not come back here.

Nice size rooms, but decor is wierd. Need a chair or chairs in the rooms. Glass doors on bath and shower are a poor design. No privacy.

Nice room

The hotel staff was very friendly upon checkin. Bellman wasnt very friendly though. Room was very large except bathroom was a little small. Very comfortable bed. Nice to have 2 complimentary bottles of water cold in frig ready for you. Good location, nearby lot of restaurants and metro. Also close to cruise port as we only stayed one night prior to our cruise

Staff are very nice and very accommodating. And our room is perfectly nice and big. I will definitely recommend Grums Hotel to all my friends and relatives going to Barcelona.

It was overall a very good experience with our stay. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to checked in our luggages prior to our check-in time and we also got our room early. The room is spacious and clean. A couple items can be improved would be the shower floor is very slippery and the basin sink has an awful smell from the drain.

How this hotel is a “4 star hotel” is beyond me. The room with the king bed is so small we couldn’t have our luggage’s open without stepping in them. The walls are paper thin and we had to listen to our neighbours being *intimate* at night. The service is also questionable - we carried our own bags in and out with no help offered (we probably would’ve said no thanks anyways, but still would be nice to have a hand offered) and when I asked for a fork, I was sent to the bar upstairs to wait in line to speak to someone to get it myself. The area that the hotel is in isn’t the best, but geographically it’s located in a convenient spot for tourists. We definitely wanted to spend as little time as possible in this hotel.

Front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly.

This hotel is in great shape, and the staff is super friendly, helpful and kind, they do a great job and make you feel welcomed at all times. The area around the hotel, though, is not attractive. Currently, there are some repairs being done at the streets surrounding hence it gets dirty easily, and these repairs using heavy machinery makes the area extremely noisy during working hours. Other than that, I would definitively stay at the hotel again.

The 4 persons room is decent size. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to get around especially walkable to La Rambla area. There is a supermarket right around the corner of the hotel.

Great location- can walk to La Rambla and the many architectural treasures in Barcelona. A Gaudí tour with Viator was outstanding as was the Wine and Tapas food tour. Great stay and a pass the line ticket to Sagrada Familia so worthwhile.

Great place to stay

This was a little gem in the hustle of a central location with easy access to get anywhere. Cabs were easy to get, the staff helped organize rides, and overall, transportation was a breeze. It was close to the park, many restaurants were within walking distance as well. The room was perfect. The bed was definitely comfortable, and the shower was Devine. We had our own little patio too. The spa facility was lovely with many amenities and I highly recommend you try that out, so remember your suit! The breakfast was fantastic and the food was delicious with a great variety. I’d highly recommended this for anyone traveling to consider this for your next stay.

A lovely hotel in a great location

The hotel was generally lovely and in a great location. Bar and Terrace was really nice and the rooms are spacious. Only downside for our room was the finish/decor. The floor was coming apart which is not great to see for a 4* property.

This was a well located property, convenient to restaurants, Lidl (grocery), lovely coffee and pastry shop, and the Metro! The staff was welcoming, polite, and helpful. I read some reviews that described the neighborhood as “sketchy”. We did not find that to be a correct assessment. I admit the graffiti initially was a bit off putting but that was not a correct initial impression of the area. The flooring in our room needed to be repaired as it had obvious prior water damage but honestly that is the only minor negative comment. We would definitely stay here again! Bon Dia Barcelona

Good location safe and clean.

We were 2 couples and they accommodated us to be on the same floor. Breakfast was very good and a good assortment. Every morning there was bottle of water for the taking. Receptionist were accommodating and spoke very good English and French.

Lovely Hotel

We will definitely use this hotel again, the man checking us in was very pleasant and helpful, great location and the bed was so comfy, we were upgraded to a balcony room that was lovely, and only a 14 min walk to La Ramblas
