No elevator .we stayed upstairs and n assistance was offered to carry our luggage. I am 71 years old. Room was too hot. We couldn't get the temperature reduced. Staff should come to the room with us and made sure everything was ok . We couldn't find our room initially. I wont be staying there again. Price was cheap though.

Great Value. Comfortable. Some steps to navigate

They provided a breakfast that was excellent. Scrambled egg and bacon were great. The coffee machine was amazing although I made a bit of a mess until I figured it out. The one bad thing is that it has a few steps between the rooms as the building terraces down a gradual slope. If you are older with heavy bags I can imagine it would be a struggle. The staff helped us carry our bags up. The rooms were big and comfortable although modest and a little worn. Nothing fancy but great value. The staff were really nice.

There definitely needs to be double glazing. Being awoken by the neighbour's dog was not welcomed. Had a fantastic sleep otherwise, bed and room was comfortable.

Would definitely stay again - staff were friendly, easy check in and check out.

The property is alway nice and clean and suits our needs. We have stayed here many time. Always good with free parking and breakfast

Great stay as always

We booked a room for 3 people and were given a room for two, with only one bed and nowhere for our teenager to sleep. luckily they had one room left with an extra bed. But they charged us an extra $80 for this and $100 deposit all at check-in. The room came with a credit voucher for food and drink but the hotel didn’t know anything about this and blamed Expedia. We are still waiting for compensation for this but we received a refund for the $80 after a week of correspondence. I’m 53 and haven’t had an experience like this in my life. Lesson learnt, we won’t use them again. Breakfast was nice though.

Good breakfast included in fare The hotel is close to the Corwall Park Park Run for those interested in keeping fit.

The Greenlane Suites was one of the best motels I have stayed in . A very large room , Large TV, very quiet and comfortable. A good breakfast was included in the room charge, and I received a bottle of wine as well !

Great stay. Lovely staff and quiet and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was excellent and included. Only downside was no lift and lots of stairs for me to get my suitcase up and down. Fortunately they helped me!

Fabulous king bed. Coffee machine provided but no coffee for it. UHT milk - not nice. Great shower albeit very narrow entrance, not suitable for big people. Would happily stay again, thank you

Excellent breakfast served at hotel and very nice room. Restaurants are not an easy walk from hotel but we had a good stay and drove to a restaurant in swanky neighborhood.

Well what a BIG disappointment from my first stay here and positive review two days earlier. The checkout was atrocious- I was left waiting ages to get my $100 cash bond back (which I was told on checkin was an easier way to do it); no room upgrade; no wine. When I mentioned this to the manager - she then kept me waiting another few minutes whilst she checked why - instead of giving me an apology and a wine. So I walked out in disgust. Terribly customer service. This Review will likely trigger a lame apology of sorts and an offer for me to go collect a $10 bottle of crappy wine. Not good enough. Be warned VIP /gold members.

Met our needs

Comfy clean and quiet basic accommodation with friendly atmosphere

Room was good size bed was comfortable but room was not very clean and shower pressure was terrible.and still waiting for my 100 bond to be paid into my account 5 days later

Very good, breafast facility is there. Very good stay and nearer to the CBD with many bus stops near by.

I found the staff to be very pleasant, the rooms were tidy, clean and comfortable. The surrounds we spacious with easy parking. Just a short walk to the supermarket.

The bed in our unit was a king size the bed was at 2 different heights with a noticeable drop in the middle made one side of bed very uncomfortable. The floors shake when someone walks in the hallway we were upstairs(not sure that can be fixed however) no facecloths and no tea towel to dry dishes. Bathroom silicone needs replacing had big black patches on it inside shower.

Bed lights didn’t work. Wardrobe doors broken.

Room was tired and smelt of old tobacco smoke. Carpet was dirty and the bathroom needed a refresh.

Good parking, walkable to restaurants ang nearby clinic. Staff medium friendly none of the promised VIP perks, carpets need a good clean, breakfast was on the simple side.

Disappointing in Greenlane

Very ho-hum. For an "upscale" motel it doesn't deliver in many areas. The breakfast is a joke, with only juice and water put out. Had to go into the kitchen to ask for bread for toast, with only white on offer. Once booked they send a message advising they now charge for parking - what a rip-off, as no one else in close proximity does. Room servicing below standard. I wouldn't recommend.

The rooms were very clean and a good size, bathroom nice. Staff were very nice. Quiet places and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Stayed here for an avent at show grounds which is an easy walk. Had to pay for parking per night which is not good. Breakfast is not continental, it is a platter that is pre set which is small, if you have diet requirements this may not suit. If these two things changed i would highly recommend.

So appreciated the manager making himself available late at night. The room had a strange smell but was very comfortable. Aircon not working properly. TV OK. Needs more power points accessible from bed. Shower okay, very basic but clean. We had continental breakfast. Strange soaked oats which were not nice at all but crisp enough croissant and coffee machine. Orange fruit drink, not juice. Early check out.

It need a bit of an upgrade but in saying that we were charged a fair price.

I had high expectations because its a VIP property on Expedia. I wasn't disappointed. It was clean, modern, comfortable, quiet and safe. Perfect for the price.

Clean and quiet

Thin walls, no noise protection, no partial refund

I checked in at 3pm. A big party started around 6pm because the hotel walls are so thin (with construction scaffolding along the side (possible leaky plaster reclad) the bass travelled through so clearly there was no way I was going to sleep that night. Not sure if the windows were double glazed but the sound came right through. I left at 9:45pm. The hotel refused a partial refund which isn't asking for much since I didn't stay the night. I would never stay back there again. If you want a quiet hotel room, try somewhere else.

Happy to stay again

We came to Auckland to see a show and our son paid for 3 nights for us. We decided to stay longer and the manager did some shuffling of rooms, so that we didn't have to move. They also reserved a disabled parking space for us for the whole period and presented us with a bottle of wine.

The apartment was spacious with adequate facilities for a couple. The room and bathroom were looking a little tired and in need of refurbishment. The additional charge for parking was unexpected.

Received a beautiful continental breakfast which we didn’t know about u til booking in. Lovely surprise. Would stay here again definitely

Had repairs to the building happening so was very noisy during the day so would have been nice to know this prior to booking. Property ok but bathrooms need upgrade and a bit mouldy (ceiling)

Really good size room, shower was awkward to get into & extremely small for the size of bathroom & room. Mattress was so soft you could feel the springs. The check out was appalling, could not refund the bond as she was new & had to wait for her manager to come on duty that night. Beware!! Not professional in any way & Car parking is not free! The free had been taped over with masking tape!

Disappointing on many fronts.

Pretty average at best. Paid extra for breakfast through Hotels.com and then were told by the hotel that it was a "continental" only which was free with every room. Paid again for eggs benedict which took 40 mins to serve and was very disappointing. Stairs at the entrance not very useful for people with suitcases... ramp access, only if you have a key card? The large suite we booked had a lovely coffee machine... no coffee for it though. Sadly the bed was soggy and uncomfortable. Clock radio with iPhone plug didn't work. Sofa was stained and drawn on. As Hotels.com gold members we are allowed an extra 2 hours for checkout, unfortunately we had to argue with the staff that they were not to charge us an extra $30 for one of the two hours. Pretty disappointing all around. I'd say you get what you pay for but we paid Hotel prices for this room... it was large I have to admit... Not quite a silver lining. Bottom line, don't stay here, there are better options available. We wont be back.

Poor service. Waited while reception mucked around in back office for ages. Then vaccine pass app was not working then We were on floor 3 but no lift for suitcases and no interest in helping me. I am in my 60s with an injured back.

Good value on Great South

Good value accommodation close to SH1 and Newmarket. Relatively quiet and comfortable. Would recommend.

Close to everything we needed.

I love the convenience of the hotel, easy access to motorways and to work. The staff are always very helpful and the rooms are nice, roomy and well presented.

The location is handy…just outside main city and has amenities in the area. Good parking facilities. Handy to motorway. Good, helpful, cheerful staff.

The bed was comfortable, the staff were very helpful, I got my free bottle of wine the night I arrived. It was easy access to the supermarket, restaurants and takeaways in the area. Public transport was right on the door plus the motorway was just down the road. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying.

Great location and very friendly front desk staff. Room was huge and bed comfortable. Shower was very small and lacked pressure. The bathroom was squashed, space could have been taken from the room to make it more spacious. Extremely quiet despite being on a main road. Only downside was the noise when someone turned on a tap in another room, it was loud.

Good location, free parking onsite, private room. Third story up and no elevator which is fine for me but perhaps others might find this an issue. overall, am happy with the room.

Room sizes are generous and amenities include a Nespresso machine. However flooring is noisy - creaks at every pace both inside the room and in the hallways.

I had a one night stay and fleeting visit. During this time I found the manager to be personable and helpful. The room was really spacious and clean and I had a great nights rest in a comfortable bed. The location was great as it was close to where I needed to get to. It’s also near a supermarket and local conveniences.

Walked my suitcase up one flight of stairs, to my room which really helped. Fast friendly check in. Huge room, great!

It’s a great mid range hotel with very excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend if you’re on the hunt for a great hotel for an excellent price. Located close to countdown and other food chains, great spot.

The room was a good size and the staff were polite. We stayed for two nights and the room was not serviced during our stay. My Mother was bitten by bed bugs which we informed them of. They insisted we send them photos of the bites which we did. They followed up saying they would be in touch but haven’t been. We have had to wash all of our clothes in boiling hot water (damaging some of them) and Mum’s bites are still there nearly a week later. I would not recommend Greenlane Suits to anyone.

Staff exceptionally helpful to mobility-impaired!

My husband and I both have problems with mobility. The staff / managers were exceptionally helpful to us--including the little things like coming over to me rather than having me walk over to them. The accessible room is *great* and very easy to move around in. We will be back on our next trip to Auckland!

Motel is in a good location, nice and handy to Newmarket ad a coffee shop just down the road. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Our stay was good. The only negative is the number of stairs especially if you're on the third floor.

Enjoyed my stay, it was a convenient location for my trip to Auckland and the staff were friendly
