Had an excellent 1 night stay at Greenlane Manor Motel for a concert! Owners gave great service, gated entry so safe parking for our vehicle. We found the room to be quiet and beds comfortable- just what you want! If our normal places were booked out we wouldn't have found this hidden gem.

Great location & Hosts

The property although not brand new was very clean, roomy and comfortable, service was impecable and extremely helpful

We arrived very late and the staff were very proactive at contacting us and allowing us to come in late. Loved the security gate. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

We were only there for one night and it was a quick night since we were out late and left early in the morning. However, it was a fantastic place with the nicest hosts. Very clean and very respectable place. Would definitely stay there again!

It was very quiet even though it was on a main road. It was very close to work and all amenities. The room was spacious and had everything I needed to make my stay homely. The bed was very comfortable too.

Great motel, friendly staff, definitely recommend

Everything about our stay was great, from the first courtesy phone call a few hours before we checked in to ensure we knew what time check-in closed, right through to checking out the next day. The staff were extremely helpful, parking was fantastic, and room was great (to the point that we were nearly too hot overnight!!). The motel is located on a busy road, and as mentioned in other reviews, there was no problem with road noise as the unit was down the back of the complex and didn't affect us at all. We will definitely be back if we ever need a motel in the area again. Thanks so much

Great place to stay since it was close to where I was working. Light, bright and very comfortable.

Very convenient, nice kitchen with hob well stocked with pots and pans. Secure parking (gate closes at 8 pm, then need fob to enter). Walkable to bars and restaurants. Quiet guests. Very good value for the money and we will return.

Our stay was awesome, nice greeting with fantastic manager. Room was big, tidy and had everything you needed. Nice touch having cookies. Close to where we needed to go and was a nice and relaxing weekend.

Studio unit on road side was very noisy from road. Smoke alarm went off making toast. Ventilation not great. Shower average Not what we expected from review. Parking and location great

I liked how the Manager made me feel welcome and had the heating turned on for me.

Great location. I checked in quite late and was kindly told they left room lights on for me. Free parking was much needed. Staff were flexible and helpful, had no issue with me parking my car a little longer after checking out. Appreciate owner Peter's offer indeed. Might drop in and say Hi on 17th. Pleasant stay. It appears if you book through Expedia you are sentenced to the noisy road side rooms.

Little gem!

Very pleasant motel style hotel but much nicer rooms. I got room 22 by the entrance. Bit worried about the proximity to the roads but dint hear a thing! Well provisioned facilities in the room with kitchenette and coffee making including complimentary real milk. Nice warm room. Internet limited usage and a bit quirky but no problems. Friendly helpful staff. Nice Indian restaurant over the road and Coffee Club about 200m Seay recommended by the hotel for breakfast

I Love this motel. Hoteliers are fantastic, always accommodating and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Auckland.

Great for overnight or short stays. Have stayed there a number of times and always been very happy. No proper kitchen facilities have to use bathroom sink for washing dishes which is not ideal but didnt matter to us as we usually only need room for one night.

Spacious and clean room with great kitchen area stocked with hot drink options and a carton of fresh milk. Great towels and large bath/shower. Free WiFi. Nearby coffee shop and restaurants. Secure parking.

Nice little hotel

Front desk was very accommodating at check in. Room was clean and kitchenette was well stocked. Large jet-tub was great but the shower curtain was too small and let water get on the floor. Close to train to get downtown. Wi-fi was strong but had limited data.

A quick & easy check-in. Room is very spacious & tidy. All usual amenities provided. Parking is a bit limited, couldn't park in front of our unit which is a little inconvenient. Overall a decent stay.

Always super easy to check in, clean, close to everything and good value

On my arrival, it took close to 5 minutes for someone to answer the bell. The unit, however, was spacious and comfortable. An extra blanket would be appreciated.

Putting the competition to shame...

Lovely room, great lighting and fantastic attention to detail with kitchen and bathroom amenities, friendly competent staff were pleasant, thorough and fast. The room was complete in its offerings and lonely in its condition and its cleanliness. Balcony was spacious and private making outside dining or relaxing a real pleasure. This studio was large and well lite, the best I've seen in the area, raising the bar for the shamefully inadaquate competition in Greenlane/Epsom/Newmarket on the Great South road. Well done Greenlane Manor Motel.

Cannot fault our experience while staying at the Greenlane Manor motel. In particular the friendly and professional service on arrival. A surprisingly quiet location considering the handy location to the city. A spacious and well equipped room with a large bathroom. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Good size room with 2 very comfortable queen beds. Loved the spa bath.

A Fantastic Hotel

Amazing hotel...i stay in a lot of hotels, but this one rates high in my opinion. Heated bathroom tiles, curtains that blocked out light, spa bath was great, room was large and comfortable, great sun room, cleanliness was great, close to everything you need and only 10mins from Mt Smart. I'll be definitely going back. Staff were really helpful. 5 stars from me!!

Close to where I needed.

Was a work related visit. Very close to where I had to go. Could walk.

Nice motel. Furnishings modern and room spotless.

Close to Mt Smart Stadium where we were watching a Warriors game.

I always stay here when I come to visit my kids.

The location is so handy and the quality is consistent. It's nice to know what you are getting every time. The rooms are much bigger than other similarly priced hotels too.

Bed was uncomfortable lots of road noise couldn’t have windows open, toilet moved when you sat on it dangerous shower was budget and only had curtain not value for money at just under $200 a night

Lovely hotel - Lorraine was our contact person - very helpful. They had everything in the room and more. Finer details ie makeup flannels, kitchen items, spa in the room.

Nice hotel at good location

Enjoyed my stay here. Nice hotel, great location and close to plenty of restaurants. Lorraine checked me in and was very nice and helpful. I stayed in one of the Standard Studios and my room was located near the road. Noise didn't bother me too much but they did offer some complementary ear plugs if you need it. Had quite a lot of space in my room and was very comfortable. Room had heaps of light and was clean/tidy. Great bed! Only negative was the tiny shower (well it was tiny for me).

Not all rooms are equal

I have stayed here several times before, but this time the room was a big disappointment it is directly adjacent to the office, with a (locked) interconnecting door, and you can hear every conversation in reception (capped by a phone that kept ringing 11:00 PM. On the other side of the room is the main road, not more than 10 meters away, and it is a BUSY road. Soundproofing is far from perfect. The room is spacious and well presented, but there are some hassles: a. the fridge is directly next to the bed, and no way to get away from the humming. b. there is no mirror, other than in the bathroom, and to even put on a tie is a struggle, since there is about a meter between the mirror and the toilet c. There is only one cupboard, to be used for both hanging space and kitchen equipment. To be able to hang my suit jacket, i had to remove several objects, like wine glasses, etc. d. No bedside table, but a space to put stuff down separated from the bed by vertical panelling All in all, less than perfect Will I stay here again? yes. But if I get this same room, I will very likely get into my car and look for a better place to sleep

Clean but noisy

The room itself is lovely and clean and I appreciated little touches like the facecloth dedicated to makeup removal as I don't like getting makeup on the white cloths. The bed was a bit too hard but that wasn't as much of a problem as the road noise. I recommend checking you're not in a road facing room as the traffic is relentless and the wooden blinds do nothing to dampen the noise. Walls may be too thin for some as well.

Comfortable and great location

Shame the Navman sent us to south Auckland making our arrival late. Glad they were able to accomodate us with a walkin shower due to husband having recently had a hip replacement

Good motel, but given a bad room

I was given a very disappointing room, despite paying extra for a larger and better equipped one. Directly outside and behind the bedhead were 3 air-conditioning units. All night both the bed and room reverberated with the noise and drone of these units. Fortunately, for the second night I was able to move to a similar room that was much quieter. Overall it appear the motel was very good, however it was let down in this instance by someone's very poor building decision. I hope the manager rectifies this for future guests.

Nice hotel

Was a pleasant enough stay. Room was fine. Did think it was a little over priced for what it was. Shame about the road noise. The heated floor was great and heat pump for a cold winters day.

Close to everything I needed

Its was simply ,easy and very exciting. I was great by the most amazing lady lorraine on arrival. Who greeted me and welcomed as I stepped out my taxi. Even though i was in a street facing room I heard no sound or nosie. I would definitely book again

Friendly, clean and spacious

We contacted the hotel regarding rooms and found the owners very friendly. Arriving at the hotel it was clean and well cared for, rooms were spacious with everything clean and well maintained. During our stay we had several conversations with owners regarding where to eat dinner, where the best shopping was and they even booked a taxi the morning we had to go to the airport. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking at staying in Auckland close enough to the city and to the airport without all the chaos.

Basic accommodation on busy main road

We were in Room 24 which is right on Great South Road. Traffic noise was reasonably muted and we slept well because we were very tired.

Lovely clean and fresh accommodation close enough to everything. KIWI manager and staff member ( so good for a change) that checked us in were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended

We thought it was closer to airport, its not,about 15klms away,on main rd heading north,room was clean and comfortable
