Every thing is very good

Overall a comfortable and good stay. Staff are friendly and greet you every time they see you. Room is spacious but you may get one that had a cigarette smell..make sure you open the windows to get the smell out. Very close to MRT which is a bonus. But food wise, thats hard to find without walking in early morning. Shopping centre food court dont open until 10am. Definitely value for money. Should consider their breakfast option included in the room rate.

Comfortable stay for several days.

The hotel has a very convenient location, with a few minutes' walk to Yong Ning Men Subway Station. It is easily accessible to a number of places of interest. The staff members are extremely friendly.

Starting at 10 points. -1 for smoking room when asked for non smoking room. -1 for no spa. -1 for too easy to mix up the do not disturb with clean room sign (same colour, seems to override the other do not disturb wall sign). +1 for excellent location. Overall 8/10 is fair. Would have been lower if the manager didn’t sort multiple issues quickly.

Everything was fine. However it could be better if staff was able to speak a little more english. I tried to look for an ATM around and nobody could help me efficiently

The Grand Park Xi’an is very well located in view of the historic South Gate of the old city wall. Our room overlooked the large plaza/traffic circle in front of the gate. There was always something new happening there, from piped music, to actors in period costumes, to fountains and lights. That was fun for us, but if you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs or ask for a room off the plaza; the windows are single pane. The Muslim Quarter is a relatively short walk and the subway #2 line entrance is right across the street. The bathroom could use an upgrade, and the breakfast buffet included a large variety of options to cater international tastes, but overall was ‘meh’, but the location was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful, hence the 5-star rating. I would stay there again.

Great location, opposite the wall and close to the Metro and shopping area. Very good service - had problems with noise from construction site late into the night and they immediately upgraded me to a different, quiet room. English can be a challenge, but staff tried very hard and we were able to communicate effectively....

Great location with above average hotel.

Great location but make sure you get a room facing the street ass the views are much better. Gym is very basic but ok, the bonus is it has a a games room with 8-ball, ping pong and a shuffleboard. A little pricey compared to other hotels during this trip but it was golden week so understandable.

Very good hotel with pretty good rooms and excellent staff. Its location is also great being right next to the city wall. There is also a shopping mall directly opposite and a subway station a short walk away. The surrounding area is also quite nice and modern. Some areas of the rooms seem a little older and used but nothing to be concerned about. Overall, definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing location, right by the South Gate. Room was not only clean and luxurious but had a stunning view of the City and South Gate. Beautiful lobby and friendly staff.

Excellent position just outside South Gate of city walls. Short walk from the Airport Express bus stop close to the Bell Tower. Good views of the city walls and south gate from some rooms. Nice large room (Superior Room with small lounge).

Out of all the hotels I stayed at in China this one felt the most dated. Still had good sized rooms that were clean and very conveniently located though. Most staff spoke good English and those that didn't would take you to those who did. Staff also had great public transport knowledge which was helpful for going to see the terracotta warriors as my planned route was changed due to construction. The only downside was that there is construction right next to the hotel at present which would start at 8am and not finish until 11pm which was not ideal but i'm sure this will finish soon.

Location excellent Room smelly, noisy and needed a good clean

The room was large and spacious and clean. The location is excellent within walking distance to several shopping malls nearby and to the South Gate. The subway exit is just outside the hotel entrance and it is only 1 stop away from the Bell Tower station or a 15 minutes walk to it. The concierge staff was excellent and helpful. Gave much useful tips on where to go and eat. Even booked the Shaanxi Museum tickets for us and called for taxis or private hire cars when taxis are not available. It helps if you speak a bit of Chinese. Enjoyed my stay there. Excellent and keep up the good work.

Convenient location, only 3 minutes walk distance to XiAn Yong Ning Gate subway station, one stop to Bell Tower. We booked deluxe room with city wall view, requested straight facing ancient city wall, so we can enjoy the splendid night light view from our windows, room is also big, breakfast buffet is with different varieties of food. 15 minutes walk to XiAn BeiLing Museum. We really enjoyed our trip to XiAn, a historic city with culture and delicious local food.

Location was perfect . We had 3 room's, 2 we're great and one was not. The beds are very comfortable and the king size is huge. Request a room with a view of the wall for an amazing light show.

Old dated Hotel in Excellent location. Get a room with city wall view or don't bother staying there. Even though the floors are non smoking stale cigarette smoke came through the vent in our room we switched rooms and it was only a little better. Good thing as well that the provide slippers because no way I was walking in that carpeting. Great city wall view and evening light show.

Great position for seeing Xian

Hotel is comfortable but could use an update. Also lacks any vibe at all, handy spot for seeing Harbin. Breakfast is adequate but not of high standard.

Close to metro station and all the major attractions in XiAn, hotel room was comfy but maybe a bit worn down. Still a good stay

Hotel at a very good location near metro station but it is quite old and need some upgrading. Room is clean but toilet does not flush properly. Breakfast variety is decent. Staffs attitude is ok but would expect a little more for a hotel of such.

Fabulous place to stay

Fabulous place to stay, great location close to the city wall and the Muslim quarter to experience the night food market. Great room, very helpful concierge staff. Easy area to walk around. Would definitely recommend it.

This property is well located, near the south gate of the city wall and within easy walking distance of the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Muslim area of Xian. The beds are very comfortable, breakfast plentiful and good. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Outdated hotel in great location

We were in Xi'an 1 night on our way from Shanghai to Beijing and wanted a hotel in the center of all the sites. The hotel is in a great location and is clean, however, it is very outdated. Biggest complaint was that the windows in our room did not fully seal closed letting some street noise in.

The hotel is old but the location is unbeatable, breakfast is very good. Our room had a lot of noise due to construction outside but they changed the room promptly. Concierge service was excellent.

AC did not work

Hotel advertises itself as having air conditioning, but the A/C did not work. When asked the manager said that A/C was currently not working and they switch it on only in the peak summer. The room was pretty hot, forcing me to check out and move to another hotel in the middle of the night. Ugh, I would never stay here again.

Reception are a bit dismissive especially when you start speaking English they immediately look towards the manager in charge. But even after i spoke in Mandarin about the faulty air conditioning in my room, it wasnt fixed in the end. I would say overall the staff dont seem to be too happy working there. Hotel also seems really cheap-skate as there were notes in the room saying that if we wanted to take some items we have to pay for it e.g. laundry bag, cups etc..Our room was facing the back where there is a construction site, beware: they start working late at night c. 10pm! Breakfast was good, lots of choice with Chinese and Western-style, and fresh fruit and veg.

Fantastic location, good stay

Excellent location, clean rooms, a little on the warm side temperature-wise inside the room because we couldn’t leave the air conditioning on when we left the room. Restaurants were pricey and closed too early. Overall good experience.

Excellent location convenient for metro

We had breakfast which had a nice choice. Rooms were spotless but smelt of smoke even though we had requested a non smoking room. The bed was quite hard. Staff were very helpful. The location was excellent easy to get to the metro & the drum tower is very close. We found it very peaceful here.

You cannot change room temperature, it is hot. The sewage smell in hallway and room is terrible, management do not offer to change room and just add chemical to neutralize the odor. It is bad service

Found 2 unused condemns inside the night stand drawer .. house keeper should make sure the drawers are clean too

Grand Park Xi’an stay

The hotel was close to the wall, shops and restaurants. Couldn’t ask for a better location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good.

Words can not describe how crappy this hotel is. From the food to the staff.

This hotel was extremely comfortable and, most importantly, was incredibly close to the South Gate! There’s also a subway station there, so getting around was easy. We had a beautiful view of the city wall from our room. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Super comfy modern hotel located on Times Square like round about. Great room with with comfy bed. Make sure to pay the extra for the room with a view of the wall. Really worth it. Breakfast was delicious. All sorts of Western choices. Several people spoke English. Is definitely stay there again!

The Grand Park Xian is one of the longest history hotel in Xian. It was used to be the best hotel in this city. However, as this hotel has the best location than any of others ever, it became the excuse for Grand Park not to work hard. The rooms and facilities are very old and haven’t been upgreated for more than 15 years. some of their reception staffs don’t work professional. They only offer very simpl breakfast. Overall, I can’t believe how this hotel is 5 star. And why the room price is very high? There are lots of things they can improve and make this hotel better.

Some Rough Edges but splendid location

Moved into this hotel at last moment. Room was quite small and smelled of stale smoke. Not tolerable without Air con on. Had to request repair of toilet on two consecutive days. However bed was comfortable,room was quiet and the hotel has a good restaurant. Fabulous location next to City wall and Metro. Wonderful atrium. Hotel organised transport to Terracotta warriors. Excellent concierge service.

Grand Park Xian Hotel

Hotel locates very convenient to South Gate of the Wall and within walking distance to the Bell and Drum Tower. The Muslim food street is next to the Drum Tower. It is also close to the Metro line #2.

A big hotel in a desirable location

We stayed in this hotel for five days. Overall, our experience was good. The hotel is located in a desirable location, just outside the main gate of the old city wall. The hotel is in downtown area. Many interesting places are just within a walking distance. Tours within and outside downtown area can be arranged by the hotel or a tour agency. Most buildings in Xi'an are beautiful and quite unique. Some downsides include that the hotel does not have a swimming pool although its gym facilities are very good. Also, noise level from the music on the street outside is excessive, and it often lasts beyond midnight everyday. We complained to the hotel and said the city hall should ban any loud music on the street after 10:00 pm.

Nice area, good price

The area is perfect. There is a local expat bar right up the street, a mall nearby, and the city wall right there. The staff is very nice, but the rooms sure could be a lot nicer. Mine smelled like smoke. All in all, I liked the hotel.

A pleasant place to stay in Xian. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful despite some language barriers. Would recommend to foreigners visiting Xian.

Was told I'd have an upgrade because of my experience the last time there. Funny. It's the motel 6 of Hong Kong at Hilton prices. Have booked 2 times and not stayed a night there. They are over priced and photos are miss leading. And I was told I would have an upgrade, I think they meant they would put me on a higher floor. My suggestion is you lower your price to match what you receive. The old saying goes fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. There won't be a third time.

Nice tourist hotel with a great location

The hotel is conveniently close (walking distance) to the old city wall, southern gate and has a subway station right outside its front door. Super helpful concierge team (Jacky and Tank) and friendly staff overall. Free wifi throughout the property and comfortable rooms, some with a great view of the southern gate. Shopping centers are in the vicinity. From the hotel, people can take an easy walk to most of the major attractions within the old city wall, including the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and the Muslim Quarter.

Value hotel for Vegans/Vegetarians

Very good value for money hotel, good facilities, internet speed is one of the fastest we have seen. we are pure vegetarians, and emailed before arrival for our food requirements. We booked a club room. After check in, the head chef was waiting for us to brief us of what they offer to us, as we are pure indian vegetarians. He organized for everyday of our stay, readily freshly prepared assorted breakfast food. And as we had booked a club room, every evening, vegetarian snacks and preparations was ready for us, and as the quantity and variety was so much that we did not have to order our dinner food. And all this at no extra cost to us, except for us being booked for a club room. And he prepared on our arrival evening a full indian first class dinner.

Hotel is old and in need of some overhaul, room/bathroom lights are dim. However it is convenient to take the MRT and the old city wall is just a short walk away.

Location is good, but room and breakfast is poor.

There are many tour people. So we sometimes can't get seat and dishes.

Great location at the South Gate, metro entrance outside the hotel driveway, bus services within easy walking distance. Hotel service was patchy, one concierge told us to look up google maps when asked for advice but another went out of his way to help - similar experience with reception desk.

The Grand Park Xi'an is located in a great spot. It's right next to a high end shopping center and is right across the street from the Xi'an city wall (south gate). We got a corner room with a view of the south gate and shopping center. Staff was very helpful and let us know how to get around and how to find local places. The room was decent. The bathroom is kind of dark and needs updating and the carpet looked a little dirty. But for the price we paid it was worth it.

Positive: Location is good as it is across from the Metro station. Near the South City Gate. Good view from the room window. Negative: Strong musty smell inside the hotel and in the room. Old hotel; worn out bathroom, furniture, and dirty window. Staff's English proficiency ca be an issue.

Location is Great

Good hotel next to metro station and bus stop. Close to Wall and many street entertainment on sidewalk leading to shops and restaurants next to hotel. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Only one metro stop to Bell Tower and Muslin Street where you can experience some amazing sights and smells of lamb on grill and delicious Chinese muslim foods.

Huge hotel in good location

This hotel is a bit past its best. Our experiences in the Veranda restaurant were dire both in terms of service and food quality but we did eventually get a refund. Rooms were quite spacious and reasonably well equipped.Nevertheless quite comfortable. Room rate was a fraction of listed price and was good value. Very few of the staff spoke English and despite vast number of employees,few seemed to do anything.

Excellent quality traditional hotel

Excellent stay at Grand Park Xian. The service was fantastic and the room was everything we (my mother and myself) were looking for. The hotel/rooms are a little outdated but very well maintained and very clean, so we had no issue with the more traditional type of hotel. If you're looking for brand new and modern, this isn't the place, but if you're looking for solid quality and no surprises, this is an excellent hotel. It's right outside the Xian city wall, the metro/subway, as well as in front of many major bus lines.

Xian luxury at a great price

Overlooking the South Gate and just a clean scented subway walk away from a mall with a wide variety of food options and shops. Several nice touches to make you feel spoiled, good breakfast choice and friendly staff. Enjoy!

Don't stay here

Electricity was out early in the morning, nothing worked, checked out first thing in the morning. Had to carry luggages from 5th follow to the front door. Very dirty exit stairs and breakfast has nothing to offer westerns.
