Good location

Great location for visiting Melbourne- everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The staff at the front desk and concierge desk were very helpful. The heater in our room was broken and when we notified the desk they sent 2 engineers to our room immediately- they fixed the problem right away- we were impressed. Would recommend.

Stayed here for attending a conference. The check-in process was smooth and she was very professional. The bathroom wasn’t too clean when I entered. There were two bottles of shampoo instead of a shampoo and a body wash. Next day I left a note and house keeping changed it. But that day they didn’t refill some of our teas. They also didn’t make up our room till around 6pm that day I think they were too busy. The room was excellent size. It was perfect for me when I needed to work in my room.

Excellent stay with friendly staff and great restaurant

We loved our stay and felt very well looked after. The staff were amazing and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The room, swimming pool, and other amenities were fairly average considering the property's rating.

Such a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful location of Melbourne city.

Have stayed here many times in the past. A very convenient location for football at mcg. Staff are excellent

Fantastic hotel

It’s an amazing hotel. But the unclean spa was really not good enough.

The hotel is clean , service was excellent and amenities are great , loved the Ru Co bar very relaxing and welcoming . Did find that it was hard to wind down in my room as you can hear everything from the rooms around you , I was trying to have a restful day on the Saturday and all I could hear was the cleaning of rooms this went on most of the day either above me or on the floor I was on .

Superb experience!

The room we booked was super nice.. we have the river view and people there are very friendly. We had breakfast and it’s a nice experience for us who had this moment for the first time. Over all The place, food , and experienced are amazing.

This hotel was very nice. We had a room on a high floor with a city view. Lots of coffee shops and food options nearby.

Lovely central hotel with great breakfast and fab view from room. We stayed over the F1 weekend so paid a lot of money which I guess is understandable but we were disappointed to discover there was no evening turn down service. I queried it and was told there was nobody available and during our stay, we didn’t have one at all. We were also a bit disappointed with the pool as had assumed it would be bigger and better considering the cost of the hotel. Lots of positives but those two negatives need pointing out.

Felt like a special guest, staff were very welcoming, facilities were immaculate, room was luxurious, quiet and roomy, and the view was lovely. Located really close to the centre of town, terrific access for shopping and dining. Highly recommend for your stay.

Fantastic hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location, comfy larger beds, lots to like with a luxury feel, very deluxe ( expensive)breakfast, cute outdoor tennis court and cute small marble steam room in the lovely change rooms. Few things to improve: the pool area compared to the hotel is so daggy, dark, literally grey and frankly dirty. The pool/spa itself okay, great sized spa with weak jets, bit small pool and both need a good clean ( reguarly!!!). But the areas awful, no natural light, like an office frosted windows to the gym area, cheap grey furniture and old daggy couch, grit in the spa and nasty ring around it, rusty fittings, water stained tiles and mirrors, nasty matts and don't look in the grates around the pool...Needs some very serious care, upgrading and 5 star love, a mural of plants and colour and white furniture, would really brighten it up. The change rooms are much nicer than the pool area that also closes at 8 which is so stingy and early!!!! Seriously, how do you have such a high end deluxe 5 star hotel with a 2 star dark crusty grey outdated yuck pool area? Stingy on coffee pods but happily gave us more, in summer a top sheet would be good not just a quilt in 36 degrees but housekeeping accommodated well. And bathroom had no working fan or way to cover poo smells, staying in a room together doesn't mean you want to smell each other's poo.

The Grand Hyatt is always a delight! Make sure you indulge in the Buffet Breakfast.

magnificient yarra river views from bedroom

Excellent service, beautiful hotel. Fantastic restaurants right beside the hotel and the hotel restaurant is lovely. Right in the CBD, walking distance to Flinders station, Fed square, the Yarra river, Arts precinct, and Southbank.

This was a real treat it was lovely

Great locations. Our room overlooking the Yarra river. Hot air balloons flying over our windows every early morning especially on the weekend. Makes spectacular morning view. A little problem with slow sink in our bathroom and the spa area can use some updating. Overall, wonderful hotel by the high end brand stores.

Luxury accommodation in the best part of Melbourne city

This Hotel is located in one of the best areas in Melbourne. Easy walking to shops, resturants, thearter, concerts and sporting events. The Hotel is pristenly presented and the staff were excellent. Our room was very clean, beds excellent.

Air con sounded like a train all night..

The most horrible day I’ve ever had at a Hyatt They put us in a room where the air-conditioning sounds like a train and after some enquiry I found out that it was common knowledge for the staff that that room perhaps amongst mini rooms has that problem Yet they made it seem like they were doing me a favour for an upgrade The club lounge was mediocre to average With very little consideration for someone who was gluten-free

We had a great stay. Thank you to Fin Roberto for special treatment and Ruben for being a great waiter!

Top experience all around

Amazing location, lovely staff. Stayed here during the Australian Open Tennis. Lots of players and their coaches etc staying at the hotel.l which was cool. The rooms and features in the rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refurbishment. Shower pressure was also low. Overall happy with the stay and would probably stay again…

Service was top notch, beautiful hotel and great view from the corner room. Its an old school 5 star hotel with nothing to complain about by any means but the rooms are perhaps ready for a bit of a revamp. Still perfectly clean, comfy and great of course. The cocktail bar was solid. Decent happy hour, moody, chill, had a great few drinks there. Location and that iconic entry and lobby was cool. Enjoyed the stay bit might try something a little more butique next time.

The bathroom next room is so loud and disturbing And also breakfast wasn't good no much choice I wouldn’t recommend any one to go there Not happy at all spending this much money the crevice so poor

Nice stay, older hotel but has everything

For such high prices, breakfast should be included with the stay. I was amazed to find out that I had to pay out of pocket for the breakfast upon checking out

Has all the bells and whistles you would expext from a 5 star property in a great location. Only 2 issues we had this visit was a lot of noise from room above us with running kids who also tended to scream quite a lot. And for some reason i cannot explain, single ply toilet paper is in use that I would be surprised to find at a rural motel, let alone a Big City 5 star property.

I stayed here with my adult daughter and her two little boys(2 & 4) and they loved it. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was amazing, didn’t know where to look first!!

Pool area men’s bathroom is looking a bit tied. Grand floor our bedroom was looking like it could do with a freshen up. James team leader and staff on the club floor were amazing.

Dining is an awesome experience. Great food and top service. Awesome wine list. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space in a king room. Great shower!

It was a very disappointing experience. The soundproofing was very poor. I could hear people in the next room going to the toilet, taking a shower, or watching TV. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the cushions and sofa were not clean.

The Grand Hyett was lovely But the room has a damp smell which made it difficult to sleep Must look into this problem. Apart from that it was ok Also we were told we were getting a bottle of wine, but got fruit That was disappointing:(

The breakfast buffet was great. Azaria was amazing serving us and taking care of us everyday especially playing with my 16 months old daughter. However, one thing I would like to add or perhaps for the hotel to address is have facilities to wash baby bottles. I’ve had to call room service and plead every single time to get the bottles washed up. I’ve never had issues at crown or 4 seasons but sad to say getting this done here was a total disappointment. Other than that everything else was good!

The hotel charged me more than Wotif quoted. What a joke! Both Wotif and the Grand Hyatt let me down.

Stayed there a few times, friendly and professional staff.

Beautiful place with great views and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean. The only thing that wasn’t great was the pillows because they were too soft and fold in on themselves when you laid on them. But that’s an easy fix so that’s why I’d give this place 5 stars.

For paying $700 for this room, I was disappointed. The room was small, the shower was difficult to regulate and the shower-head was broken. I don’t agree I got my Monies worth in this stay.

Late check in was extremely difficult with no information of how to enter the building. No 24 hour room service. Some staff quite rude. Thin walls of interconnected rooms - could hear the couple next door late at night. For 5 stars, we did expect a bit better service and information.

Nice facility

Valet parking was easily accessible with the large undercover driveway, and plenty of staff on hand to assist.

Only one criticism. There was no power point near the bed for charging my phone. And the phone charger on the side table didn’t accommodate an iPhone15.

Close to all entertainment venues short walk from station , will stay again !

The hotel was close to many great restaurants and attractions. It was also convenient to catch the tram. The room we stayed in also had a fantastic view!

Happy with the hotel but didn't like seeing cleaning rags in the bedroom

Great location for cultural visit

Location of hotel was perfect for cafes (Lune), restaurants (Gimlet), theatre, galleries, all walking distance. View from room was lovely. Bed was comfortable, pillows are feather but a memory foam one was provided on request. Buffet breakfast was great! We also enjoyed the spacious gym, heated pool, sauna and steam rooms.

Have stayed here a few times now and would not stay anywhere else. Always enjoy our time here.

Expected more of The Grand Hyatt

Excellent service, great restaurant, very ordinary room. Broken toilet seat, shower wouldn’t turn off and leaked, bathroom door very difficult to close, graffiti scratched into the back of the wardrobe door, noisy with slamming doors and children of other guests running up and down the hallway, and people moving around upstairs. Quiet to outside (street) noise. Air conditioning was difficult to get to right temperature.
