The staff was amazing from the front desk to the bar and restaurant. The chef prepared samples of delictible appetizers and treats for us each day of our stay. We are looking forward to returning again soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. From the first minute we set our feet in the hotel door, we knew it would be awesome. We made the right decision choosing this hotel. The complimentary bottle of champagne and the chocolate cake for my husband's birthday was a huge surprise which wrapped up a perfect vacation. Indeed, it was an experience exceeded our expectations in all ways.

Staff was support and accommodating. Really liked the breakfast selections. Nice room and its accommodations. In the center of nice attractions and nearby the ocean. Highly recomended.

Loved the maritime theme. Beautiful dining room and fabulous breakfast. Room was very comfortable. Staff very professional. Walking distance to Ponta Delgada waterfront, tourist area, restaurants, buses and taxis. Hotel can be reached by taxi in 10m . Flat rate of €12.

The staff is the best Ive encountered anywhere Everyone was as helpful as possible I required gluten free and the breqkfast bufffet had amazing GF options also prosecco, coffees, fresh ornage juice etc Rooms were beautiful and modern I wiuld come back to the Azores just tonstay here again

The breakfast was fabulous. The dining room has a fabulous view of the ocean and sunrise. The room and bed were very comfortable . Our deck was facing the bay, and was quite relaxing . The general theme of the hotel reflects the maritime days, which is wonderful. It is indeed a Grand Hotel! Would recommend and return.

I've now stayed at 3 major hotels in Ponta Delgada, Octant, Hotel Marina Atlântico, and now the Grand Atlantico. The service and ambiance of the Grand is the best of the 3. Can't wait to come back and stay here again.

The staff were outstanding. The location is incredible as directly out front of the hotel is a local spot for swimming that you can walk over in your robe to join!

Spectacular high end property and the best hotel in Ponta Delgada. Location couldn't be better - right on the marina, stores and short 3-4 block walk to city center. Lovely staff and front desk, amazing restaurants and lobby bar. Food and drinks are world class. Highly highly recommended.

Excellent vacation!

Great location and staff was very nice. The front desk, the bar service, the waiters at restaurant, the bell hops, the cleaning service were all nice and professional. Accross the street can swim in ocean, plenty of places to eat near by. Most tours will pick up at hotel.

The staff and property was well maintained. My only complaints were service was a little slow. Breakfast was average and the same choices everyday. Surprising how difficult it is to get vegetables with a dinner. Everything is with French fries

I appreciated having full bed, not 2 singles put together. I appreciated having seating on balcony. I appreciated the amenities in my room .

Enjoyed an excellent stay at this Hotel. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We used the valet parking for 13 euros/day, otherwise parking could have proved difficult. The hotel even had the car ready and a small snack station and coffee machine ready to go for our early departure on the last day.

The Grand hotel Azores is a beautiful hotel with the great view of the old port, excellent restaurants for breakfast and dinner, and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

this is a 2 star hotel at best. rooms & facilities are old, tired, outdated. depressing atmosphere. pool is gross and full of chemicals. Front desk staff is the worst- unhelpful, uncooperative, won't even give you 10 minutes late check out. no one offers to help with luggage- they just watch you struggle with it. breakfast buffet was disgusting, inedible. stay at the Octant instead- while the Octant isnt perfect, it's a HUGE step above the awfulness of this place.

Excellent staff at the hotel in a very clean operation very close to everything downtown within walking distance. Also a very good bar inside the hotel and the staff knows how to make fantastic drinks would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice and the hotel was close to the downtown. I paid for oceanview which I got but it was not a nice looking view. It was the view of the marina.

Grand Experience

Our overall stay was very pleasant. I enjoyed the nautical hotel theme, it made the experience feel unique. Rooms were comfortable with space to move. The brass look throughout the room and especially in the bathroom were a nice touch. The staff were very approachable and helpful. Valet parking is limited, and the buffet breakfast is adequate.

Highly recommend. Beautiful property on the main avenue facing the marina. Service was impeccable. Valet service was was worth every penny. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Decent hotel, good location and professional staff

Check in was easy and everything was explained which was very good. Rooms are a little small, arrival snacks were a nice touch. Breakfast buffet could have a little more variety, same each day. We asked for a large cab for check out which we didn’t receive, so next day communication is needed. Fresh scent at hotel which is nice, can be overwhelming for people sensitive to smell. Bathroom could have hooks or a shelf outside the tub area. Early morning before the normal breakfast time could have some fruit. Towels and bed and pillows were amazing and very comfortable, great sleep. Staff were very attentive during breakfast and throughout the hotel. Didn’t use the pool, but it was a little different that we pick up towels at the reception desk. Overall would recommend and it did feel like a 5* experience.

We had a great time at the Grand Hotel Atlântico Açores. The staff were really professional & helpful, they even provided with early check-in & late check-out. Our room was lovely, it was great to have a balcony with great views of Punta Del Gaza. We really enjoyed the hotel bar/lounge, it had great casual food/drinks. And the location was fantastic.

Great breakfast. Overall, very accommodating. Provided bottle water daily in our rooms and in our car when they brought our car to us. Within walking distance to many sights, restaurants, and shopping.

Great hotel!! Very clean, the rooms were great and the service was top notch. Extremely comfortable beds and good sized rooms. The location was amazing. 7 minutes from the airport and very centrally located. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed at Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico five times in the last 18 months. The staff is especially friendly and accommodating. Antonio in particular always greets you with a warm smile and an interesting fact about the island. His quick wit is a plus too! I will always stay at the Grand Hotel.

Our stay was certainly memorable. We stayed here with our family and closest friends and traveled from the New York/Boston region for our nuptials taking place at Senhora de Paz and Estufa Fria. We arrived a few days before and the staff could not be kinder and more accommodating with such a large group. Both Antonio's (front desk and in the restaurant) were beyond helpful in addition to the rest of the staff. It's a beautiful hotel that offers, great in house restaurants, a gym and a pool. The proximity to shops is a huge plus if you want to walk and pick-up souvenirs or just take a stroll around the town. I surely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again for my next trip to Ponta Delgada.

This hotel has a rare feel of high level service. Lots of little extras - they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. The Codage of Paris amenities were lovely. The staff were ALL supportive and friendly. The rooms were lovely and overlooked the harbor. There is a farmers market nearby plus lots and lots of shopping, quaint cobblestone roads and alleys. Two bottles of water left in the car when we picked it up from valet. The extra effort i don't run into often. A grand hotel with a great way of doing things.

The Grand Hotel was indeed that, GRAND! It is very well appointed with a soothing color scheme based on historic nautical charts, documents, and equipment from the founding company that owns this hotel. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, had a wide variety of options, and the wait staff were very attentive, professionally dressed, and anticipated our needs. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Ponta Delgada!

The staff were very attentive and the rooms were well appointed. It was very easy to walk around town to the restaurants and sites. The ocean view, included the ocean, the Burger King at the mall, and a huge cruise ship.
