There were some pretty loud ambient noises happening occasionally that made it harder to fall asleep but otherwise very good.

Silver fish in the bathroom, loud doors when open and closing and not the most clean bathrooms. Rooms very comfy.

Best

On arrival we were locked outside, noone at reception, noone responding to calls, emails etc. Only got in the front door because of another guest. Sheets clean but mould stained, dirty sock under bed with the dirt. Room felt secure and safe, the location was great. Its a shame because this coulf be a great little place to stay with more staff and cleaning.

Nice place and staff

Check in guy was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the property when I arrived but when I asked reception they didn't know what's going on. I had to reach out to hotels.com for a complaint and relocation request, in which hotels.com didn't help at all. After reaching out to reception again, someone else (possibly more senior) explained to me that there were some works in the pipes and that they have expected to have hot water by that time, and she went to check what's going on. So despite my original frustration, the staff was perfect overall and after her checking up on the situation, hot water returned to the property (not sure if she did something or it was just coincidence, but at least she made an effort). The hostel is very clean, renovated and there are many bathrooms and adequate number of showers, it didn't feel inconvenient at any point. The beds were comfortable - could do with a thicker pillow and bigger duvet but overall good and felt safe. Location was also very central and easy to go anywhere on foot. You are asked to make your own bed as you check in, but that's a minor inconvenience as the price is far cheaper than most accommodations nearby.

Great location with a lot of activities and suitable for small budgets, but while the staff are very friendly and helpful, the cleanliness is really a problem especially in the shared areas.

Room for improvement

They were not able to find my check-in when I arrived and attempted to charge for the room again although it was already paid for. Took 30 min in all; did not receive a word of apology. Rooms are clean with quite comfy enough beds. Would have liked the air circulation system to be less noisy. The common area has a well-equipped kitchen, which I liked.

Great hotel nice staff but soo noisy surroundings in morning. Garbage trucks staying outside for a while every morning emptying containers every day. Suspect neighbour hood containers though but still. Noisy started around 7 am

We stayed in a twin room and got bedding/towels included in the price - I think some other rooms you have a surcharge but it's not much and this place is excellent value for money. a good buffet-style breakfast is also included and there's coffee on the go most of the time. the self-catering kitchen facilities are good too. The location is good - a 5 minute walk from järntorget and the famous "fish church", a 20 minute walk from the central station or a short tram ride with the tram stop 2 minutes away. the showers are nice and everything is very clean. the security is excellent and the staff were helpful.

Expect the worst

With experience from worldwide accomodation, I can easily say this was the worst stay ever. To mention some of the problems: slow check in; hidden fees; aggressive cross-selling; downgraded room but still same price; empty juice-bottles under bed from another guest. The one good thing was the location, but since the city center is sort of compact, I would rather book another and cheaper hostel in Gothenburg.

Wrong info

I booked this hotel because it was announced to be 0.6 miles from Ullevi stadium. This is actually not true, since stadium is a few km away. Misleading information made me take the wrong decision. I am very disapointed

Overall I had a very good experience staying here, the breakfast is great and it is really well located, 20 min walk to the City Center and very close to Haga. My only bad note will be around the wifi service. Will definetly come back.

Private rooms for hostel prices

After staying at an awful hostel in a room with 5 snoring men and one girl (me) I was so desperate to sleep in a room by myself without breaking the bank. I loved that the Göteborgs Mini-Hotel had the option of a single occupancy room at a super reasonable price. Showers down the hall but still in private rooms, spacious and incredibly clean, good hot water & pressure. The place was quiet, I enjoyed 3 nights of great sleeps, and I really liked the neighborhood! Funky & unique and a bit away from the main city centre while still being super accessible by tram or on foot. I walked there from Centralstation in about 25 minutes. The wifi signal is strong, the staff are friendly, and the TV's in the rooms are a nice bonus! An odd little place but I would definitely recommend it to the budget conscious traveller.

Pay for your linen and make your own bed

You have to pay extra for linen which isn't made clear so not quite as budget as it appeared - should not really be allowed to be classed as a hotel in that case. That being said it was generally a good choice for those on limited budget in an expensive city

Excellent value for money

Stayed 3 nights in a spotlessly clean and spacious room. Nice but simply decorated. Communal showers and toilets were equally super clean. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and all in the city centre Strongly recommend it.

Excellent stay

Fantastic hostel/hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Far better service here than most hotels I have stayed in. Rooms were clean and recently decorated. The hostel is also in the attractive old part of Gothenburg and about 1/2hr walk from the town centre.

Clean, fine - but very budget

It's a budget hotel. Internally the spec is quite good, but shared showers, if you go for an economy room, be aware that you will have to hire separate bedding!

They asked for our passports and made a photocopy which I find strange. Staff and overall feel could be a little mute personable I think. Location is near "haga" shopping district and lots of pubs near Jarntorget and trams. Pretty far from central station though

i booked to stay there with yous i paid on line and when i arrived it was fully booked and you sent me a e mail saying in had to all you and the number was an American number so when i called i was answered by an automated service saying the expected waiting time was 20 minutes so at my calculations i would of spent more money on the phone trying to salvage the money than i paid for the hotel and then you have the nerve to e mail me asking me to review the hotel i never stayed in because yous messed up ........so all in all a very bad service

Strongly recommended

Stayed here whilst doing the Goteborgsvaret. The hotel is only a few minutes from the tram stops. Local supermarket (Nettto) is just around the corner. Hotel itself is clean. Had a private room, with four bunks. Personal lamp/plug for each bunk and 32 inch TV within the room. Shared kitchen was good with two hobs and ovens. Plenty of freezer/fridge space, as well as a private fridge in the room. Shared toilets/bathrooms, were clean and santized daily. Good continental breakfast (bread/pate/ham/sill/fruit/cereal etc) Free coffee/hot water and fruit basket/cake tray available 24 hours. Happy to stay again.

Very nice and helpful staff, a great price and really no complaints for affordable accommodation, well exceeded my expectations. Also if you don't have too much luggage you can walk from the station but the tram station is also near by.

I loved this place! Very clean and newly renovated hostel, private rooms, cheap, free WiFi (though it didn't work inside the rooms very well. TVs in the rooms, clean showers and within walking distance of prime areas of Gothenburg. Would definitely stay here again!

Simple but clean

I was just here for a night before taking a ferry to Frederickshavn, Denmark. Very convenient location - only a 5 minute walk to the StenaLine Denmark bound ferry. Rooms were very clean and even though bathrooms were shared, they were immaculate. The room is simple but if you don't need much, this will be just fine. There's even a small flatscreen TV in the room and free wifi. I would stay here again.

Close to city centre

The receptionist was very polite and helpfull. Even though the bathrooms are in the aile they were very modern and functional. The hotel was clean and sober. The breakfast was perfect. I can recomend this hotel for businessmen who is going to stay over for a night.

Bråk o skrik

Gästerna störde väldigt mycket och den flyttar på sängarna mitt på natten medan man sover så man väcks. En till så va att det fanns ett par som bråkade mycket under en natt o polisen kallades men det var väldigt jobbigt för det fanns inga personal under den tiden på plats så det var mycket obekvämt o jag låste mig själv på rummet för jag var så rädd

Bra boende i helhet. Stilrena och moderna toaletter och duschrum. Vi va nöjda med vårt besök, enda som drar tillbaka lite var att dem missat att dammsuga på vårat rum och att det inte finns dubbelsäng vilket framstod på hotels.com.

Als Hostel ok: Große Gemeinschaftsküche mit solider Ausstattung an Geschirr, Töpfen, Pfannen. Leider wurden Lappen und Topfschwämme nicht getauscht und wirkten etwas eklig. Gemeinschaftsbäder wirken oberflächlich sauber, leider waren sie oft nicht gründlich gereinigt und zeigten in Toiletten doch Gebrauchsspuren. Zimmer sind ok. Die Bettgestelle sind etwas wackelig und quietschen bei jeder Bewegung.

Väldigt nöjda!

Vi är jättenöjda med våran vistelse. Fräscht rum med sköna sängar. Väldigt fräscha och fina toaletter och duschar. Vi köpte frukost som var över förväntan. Buffé med lite allt möjligt, fräsch frukt och grönsaker. Vi är väldigt nöjda, inget alls att klaga på. Toppenbra att sängkläder och handduk ingick. Även städning av rummet. Kommer absolut boka igen när vi kommer till Göteborg, även rekommendera detta boende till vänner. Summa summarum ett väldigt bra boende till ett bra pris! Skönt att det låg centralt också med nära till mataffär, apotek, restauranger och spårvagn.

Alldeles för dålig luft på rummet samt i duschen. Låg en massa hår på golvbrunnen som gjorde att vattnet tog tid på att rinna ner. Inget bra tryck i duschen. Skulle be om fler kuddar men det fanns ingen i receptionen trots att det stod att den var öppen.

Fantastiskt fint bemötande av den underbara personalen! Saknade denna gång en papperskorg på rummet men det är ett lättlöst problem.

Enkel boende för de som inte är kräsna.

Detta är inte ett hotell utan vandrarhem, man får egna rum men fortfarande vandrarhem. Lite slitet och väldig basic. Frukost bara på helger tyvärr. Dusch och toa ligger i korridoren och är ofta ofräscha framför allt under helger. Den ligger nära till restauranger, buss, spårvagn.

Dåliga sängar

Det är väl ok för priset om det inte varit för obekväma sängar. Funkar säkert för yngre turister.

Den var helt ok. Hade tyvärr rum nära rökrummet och det var ganska äckligt!

Rökrummet gjorde så att det stank rök i hela boendet. Klart bättre på rummet, men så fort man öppnade dörren var det vedervärdigt. Bra läge, men rökstank drar ner ett annars högt betyg. Annars fräscha toaletter duschar och ok rum.

Rent och fräscht. Trevlig personal. Nära till mataffären, transport och restauranger. Prisvärt och tryggt.

Mycket bra rum och duschar. Däremot rökrummet mitt i korridoren är bedrövligt och tar ner bedömningen . I stort sett bra men rökrummet. De som röker får väl gå ut.

Detta ställe skulle kunna vara så mycket bättre om det inte vore för att det finns ett RÖKRUM där, och lukten därifrån förpestar hela stället. Ytterst ofräscht. Annat: * de vill att en förstås märker sin mat med rumsnummer och utcheckningsdatum, men det fanns ingen märkpenna så en kunde göra det. (Ett plus var att det finns en egen kyl på rummet, MEN den lät så mkt och störde nattsömnen, så vi fick stänga av den och använda det gemensamma kylskåpet i köket istället.) * köket saknar mysfaktor, belysning à la starka lysrör i taket. Behåll den, men där måste också finnas möjlighet till mysbelysning. PLUS * stort fint rum (med eget kylskåp om du ej är ljudkänslig) * ok dusch och toalett * bra läge nära Masthuggstorget och Järntorget * lugn stämning, inget bus eller störning från grannar när vi var där.

Das Hotel ist eine Mischung aus Hotel und Hostel. Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach, aber trotzdem mit Fernseher und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen, die Toiletten und auch die voll ausgestattete Küche (sogar mit Ofen), waren immer super sauber. Die Lage ist super. Das Personal sehr nett. Wer günstig angenehm übernachten möchte, der ist hier auf alle Fälle gut aufgehoben.

Bra och lugnt budget-hotel i centrala GBG

Helt ok lågprishotell, bodde själv i ett dubbelrum men betalade bara för ett enkelrum. Bra toalätter som fanns i närhet av rum och duchrumen oxå bra. En bra sak är att det har ett stort köksrum med kastruller, stekpanner och köksartiklar. 2 spisar, flera mikroungnar samt kyl o frys som man kan förvara matvaror. Du har oxå en egen liten kyl i varje rum. Bra om man är en familj och kan bo tillsammans och slippa äta ute hela tiden. Bra gäster inget stök o festande utan lugngt och fint. Ligger centrallt och nära till hållplatser.

Dåligt!

Första bemötandet var bedrövligt. Kunde lika gärna varit att man inställde sig vid en anstalt. Rummet var dammigt och hade inga fungerande lampor förutom en stark taklampa. Det var smutsigt och dammigt på dom flesta platser.
