There are many hotels like this one in downtown AD that offer reasonable prices and clean, safe accomodation. I have stayed at a few of them and found this one to be middle of the pack. We were here for a trade show, so aside from sleeping and breakfast our group did not spend time at the hotel, aside from some short meetings in the evening. For this purpose, the hotel is a good choice.

Taking advantage of ADIPEC prices were way too high

Overall it was average. When we first arrived it took roughly 20 mins to check in as they didn't have sight of the prebooking. The hall way on the way to room smelt of damp. The shower door was designed by a monkey. It would only open 30% due to the toliet seat proxmity. But other than that it was ok

If you book this hotel using Expedia be sure in advance that your booking has been received by the hotel. The staff did there best to help us because my reservation was not submited to them properly but in an hour or two the issue was solved and everyone was happy.

The pictures look very enticing but getting in the room floor has stains. Im not sure if they steamed it to get the dirt and stains. And then, I called a week prior to hotel reservation for a late check out but they still kicked us out. The hotel is very hard to find on google maps, or waze. When ordering food, delivery guys cannot also find the hotel.

Good Hotel at a good location, easily accessible Value for money, reasonable priced.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Requested an ironing board and it was delivered within 15 mins. Room was clean and spacious. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

Owner was really nice, greeted us every time we came back to the hotel at any time. Very nice staff. One of my best experiences in a foreign country. They made me feel at home.

We had some issues that was not supposed to be in 4 stars hotel in abu dhabi where the standards are supposed to be a way higher .. the staff did their best to solve it upon request .. for sure it is not 4 stars hotel .. i would say 2 or 3 at most ..

For me this is a good clean hotel with nice staff. Happy with my room. My one big problem was the dreadful wifi, which was pretty much unusable.

Average Stay

lifts are very slow and some are not working. Reception staff is kind of rude in dealing. the internet is a mess in the hotel and in the rooms as well.

I loved the view! I stayed on the 14th floor. The room was clean, smelled pleasant, and very spacious.

Cannot explain how great this place is for the price. Brilliant size rooms, good staff and all the facilities you need. Would recommend.

Pros: This is in downtown, so, everything is close, nice staff. Cons: This is a 3.5 stars hotel according to the US standards, so, don't except 5 start room, furniture, amenities, etc.

Timing issues!

This isn’t the first time I stay at the golden tulip and it was always a good stay. However this time, wasn’t very pleasant. First the AC kept working even though I put it off, and it read OFF on the screen. Second, the receptionist dialed my room number for a wake up call, that I did not ask for, at 6 am TWICE; first time they rang once and hang up (probably they weren’t sure about the number) then the second time few seconds after they called again til I picked up! But that wasn’t all, for some reason whoever is in charge of the WhatsApp business number seems to think it’s appropriate to send a WhatsApp message asking me to rate my stay at 5 am and then again at 6:06 am!

Good service, friendly staff, near to all amities, clean, you got what you paid for.

Change the housekeeping staff

Affordable hotel room. The housekeeping was terrible. They didn't change the face towel for a week.

The hotel is in a central location, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was big, and the bathroom had a shower and bathtub. The room was somewhat clean, but the carpet could use a deep cleaning; the closet had a weird smell, not in a good way. I arrived from a very long flight earlier, at 12:30 p.m., but they asked me to wait until 2 p.m. so I could check-in. The Gym is good. The pool is on the roof, with no access to the elevator. You need to take the stairs for one and a half floors.

Great valie for the money. Centrally located, clean, nice gym and pool.

They don't allow more than 2 people to visit you like some sort of prison or COVID quarantine. They charge 35 AED per person for a person visiting you and keep their emirates ID/passport with them. Extremely rude staff. Never going there again.

Room is very clean and comfortable stay and its the middle of the city. Unfortunately i had a bad experience from hotel staff because the receptionist charge 25 dhs for my each guest. I book room for my self only and i had a visitor afternoon but they didn't informed me anything about the charge but the next day morning have 2 visitor then receptionist told me have to pay 75dhs for the each guest this was my first experience since 12 years in uae. I request her invoice for the extra payment 75 dhs but she refused and the way she talk very rude.

Amazing

The staff were very friendly and responsive to every single issue ir request. They offered me an extra large suite for compensation of the shortage of Wi-Fi in the first night. I will definitely come back again

Staff were very helpful and professional. A billing dispute was incurred at checkin but was promptly resolved. Staff took actions to ensure That I paid the quoted / confirmed price and a credit was promptly issued to my account for the overcharge. The staff helped me with phone issue (SIM card purchased not working), guidance on locations and were very prompt to assist with transportation. Food ordered from room service was plentiful and well done. Bed in room had spring that was dislodged, although bed was very large and this did not affect my sleep, if two persons were assign the room it would have been issue. Wi-Fi that ceased to function was not corrected until the following evening.

Good room, standard features, sanitized thoroughly, relatively new area around it but packed and lively till midnight. Tight bathroom and standard room is annoyingly full of furniture which limits your usable space (got a suite but checked the standard room).

Quick overnight in Abu Dhabi

I booked into the Golden Tulip for a quick overnight stay. It is positioned in the centre of Abu Dhabi, central for everything you may need. Check in (& out) was fast, no hanging around at all. I used the rooftop pool which was nice way to cool off in the heat of an October afternoon sun. The room was large & spacious, there was a microwave as well as kettle in the room. I would recommend this hotel & stay again in the future.

Rude Customer Service

I did late check in. I had to pay for 25 aed extra for having my friend to stay for a total of 30 min in the room as he had to collect something from me. Is funny how such things are small but can affect your whole experience. There is no receipt provided for that charge but received cash in hand of the guy.

Unhappy customer

When I reached the room it is stinky and there’s a lots stain in the carpet and bed cover. AC is getting on/off so it getting hot in the room. So I have to spray all over the bed and chairs using my sanitizer just to be safe. + i was given late check out because i checked in around 8pm.

Value for money within city area; no free parking.

Hotel is within the city which is very convenient for travelles. Room is basic but comfortable. No free parking which is disappointing because it's usually free to most hotels.

The room wasn’t the best. The bathroom didn’t even have towels when I checked in. Not to mention there were some bugs. The room was noisy, we had a neighboring door in between. Quite awkward. And I had to pay for a guest to visit me and for parking. Quite ridiculous if you ask me.

Taken a non smoking room but the room provided was having cigar smell. Parking also difficult. I vacated and booked another hotel for the second night stay.

Close to everything downtown and the beach. Good restaurant. Terrific staff. Is’am Staffer for special olympics helped me retrieved my cell phone (found on the street). Thanks Islam:)

My stay at Golden Tulip

My stay at the Golden Tulip was overall good, the first day I had a problem with my room and they changed it immediately. Staff is very customer friendly

My friends and I spent the thursday night in Abu Dhabi at this hotel and were not disappointed. First off all the staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful at every turn. The best of them all was the front desk girl who upgraded our 3 standard rooms to a suite, a junior suite and a diplomatic apartment. Moreover we asked for a late check out and she was so sweet to offer us check out at 2pm. This turned to be so nice and helpful as well spent the next morning hangover at the pool up to 1.30 pm. My junior suite room was very nice. Really big, with a zone for leisure with 2 couches, huge comfy bed with high quality bed linen and a big bathroom. No complaints about cleanliness either. The hotel has a caffeteria, restaurant and 24 hours rooms service. Although I did not use the rooms service I noticed the prices for food and alcohol are very competive. Therefore is also gym, massage, beauty centre and top floor pool. For sure we'll book againg this hotel for our next overnight if available.

Worth coming back

The room has modern touch, its huge and comfy.. The filipina receptionist (sorry i forgot her name) was very fast and helpful. Over all our stay is worth coming back.. Thank you guys.

Hotel clean and bed comfortable - however - No English TV Channels, limited sun loungers, hotel corridors smell strong as trying to cover up cigarette smell. Didn’t eat so can’t comment on food. Good location, lots of shops around.

Decent value and location w/ parking

Hotel is quite good value if you get a non smoking room. Corporate accounts seem welcomed also.

The gate keeper (person standing at the doors of the hotel) was very rude. if you are rich / look rich they will respect and talk normally. If you look average and don't look rich or don't pretend to be rich they even don't even say you a hello.

Unpleasant check in experience

Everything else was amazing, except the check in experience. The lady at the counter (Shakina?Something) and the security guy made me almost second guess my choice of hotel, but after that the rest of the stay was actually quite pleasant.
