Quiet place, great breakfast. Watch out all room keys are same. Don’t leave any valuables in room. Anyone can use their keys to get into your room. We had couple walk into our room at midnight.
It’s ok
I love this hotel. It’s spacious, clean, and quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very good people, I think to have little better shampoo will Help:). All other stuff are good. Most importantly People are nice! Thank you 🙏.
Basic amenities in the room were missing such as facial tissues, glasses, coffee maker, and cups. The safe and refrigerator did not work.
The rececepti
The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean.
Family vacation
Everyone was very helpful, they give us a very personalized attention. Milton and the gentleman in the breakfast restaurant, the whole team, I traveled in a family group of (7) and the communication and service was outstanding, specially for a town that it’s just growing. The location was a bit of walk but truly Machinlsts Picchu town is organic, no vehicles allowed so be ready to a lot of walking. But very safe and enjoyable.
Friendly
The front desk was absolutely kind, and incredible. They made sure that we were settled, and asked what time we would prefer breakfast served. It’s a great location, 5 minute walk to the Main Street.
A pleasant enough stay but the property was extremely quiet and the place lacked atmosphere. For1 night the hotel was OK but I wouldn’t have liked to stay for much longer . Fortunately Aguas Calientes is small so it was easy to get around and not too far from everything
3 mn walk from train station. We had a jacuzzi in our room which was amazing after hiking the inca trail, and a balcony with a beautiful view. There is free breakfast, and they were able to accommodate a very specific diet i had and made a special breakfast just for me. Modern TV that connects to phone for streaming as well. Great plqce, great staff.
Great stay
We had an excellent stay here. The room was large and well appointed. The bath was lovely and the water was hot! The staff very friendly and helpful. They asked us when we wanted our breakfast each day then delivered it to our room which was awesome. The breakfast was tasty and a lot of food, more than we could eat and with fresh sqeezed oj was awesome. The town itself is small so everything is within walking distance, close to shops, restaurants and the train station. We loved the balcony on the room it wrapped around and was a beautiful view. Wouls stay here again, thanks.
Great customer service, staff was superb. Location was on point.
Not worth the expense
Amenities listed not provided. No tv or internet. They claimed due to divide it was not available in the area, but all the restaurants in the area had both available. Breakfast was provided and good, some one the staff was helpful, but language barrier was a problem. Upon checkout one staff member seemed very upset that i wouldn't pay in cash. He pretended like he couldn't get the credit card machine to work to try & force a cash payment. It magically processed just fine when i took the machine to answer the prompts myself. The bugs were a problem with having to leave the windows open. There is no other ventilation system and no fans to help keep bugs off of you at night. Not a good value for the money. I spent only $10 more per night in Cusco & had a far superior experience.
Perfect stay
Great : staff, location, food, and very quiet stayed there 2 nights. Perfect place to relax after seeing Machu Picchu
the hotel is only 2 years old- nice and clean. i had a lovely room ext t a stream. lovely to listen to at night.
Golden Sunrise rocks!!
Room was clean and was upgraded to a mountain facing room. Bathroom had a jacuzzi. Mattress, pillows and bed were outstanding, very comfortable. People at reception, at restaurant were exemplary with their service.
Machu Pichu Stay
Great location and place to rest before and after your time in Machu Pichu. The room was very clean. My room had a tub and nice view of the hills. Staff was very kind and helpful as well. The hotel is also close to a restaurant that locals eat at located next to the library. You will not pay the tourist prices for food there, and the food is good. Overall a nice place to stay in Aguas Calientes.
The room and the patio view were great. The cleaning staff were very attentive and great. My only issue were 1. They called at 8:30 to tell us breakfast ended at 9am which we knew and it woke us up after a long night of traveling. 2. They didnt refill the jacuzzi foam the 1st day and it was empty when we got there but we ended up being able to bring the bottle down and eventually get some brought up to us. 3. You unfortunately hear eveyone around you as far as ioening and closing doors/walking. But overall id say it was still a good hotel very clean and close to the main food strip as well as very close to the train station!
In a quieter street of aguas calientes so there is more quiet, however there is a construction site opposite. Stunning views. Clean and neat. Breakfast is not that great. Room smells a bit musty.
The hotel was close to everything. it was also very quiet.
Most everything was great for the price. However there was no air conditioning. There was no screen in the window if you opened it. A little noisy but nice.
Comfortable, Worth the Money
Amazing, would return 1,000 times! Incredibly clean, accommodating, fun.
Surprisingly Nice
The beds were very comfortable and the room had a mini fridge. I really appreciated it since this was the first one we had in all our time in Peru. Also they upgraded us to a suite because they had it available which was very nice. The WiFi was as good as any where in the Sacred Valley.
The front desk assistant was so nice, he gave us information about attractions, he helped us to print our tickets for Machupicchu. The hotel has a storage room where you can leave your luggage, after you check out.
Thumbs up
Nice hotel. Even nicer staff
Good breakfast, staff very helpful and nice. Fast service.
Very good service from the staff, especial Mr. Alex.
This was a nice hotel. Our view was great! Right next to the river and mountains. The windows can open which is amazing because you m can hear the sound of the river. However, there wasn’t really a staff. Only one person at check in. There wasn’t enough toilet paper. The breakfast was ok but they are stingy. Only put a a small portion every few mins. And they stopped bringing food out one hour before they supposedly stopped. We saw people come in at 9am because they stopped serving at 10am and there was nothing left. We only ate bread and coffee because the guy said they weren’t bringing anything out anymore. I wouldn’t stay here again because we paid a decent amount of money to not be able to have toilet paper or food.
Beautiful views, location is close to train area ...only few blocks away...so clean ...great free nutritional breakfast...super friendly kind staff...10/10
The hotel was nice and clean. Good facilities. They were short of staff on breakfast resulting in running out of clean dishes, silverware, and food. Also, a bit too distant from center of town.
A fairly new basic hotel. We had a large room with a terrace and nice views. All the staff were very nice and they stored our bags for the day after check out. I would stay there again.
Very nice staff. Helped us in every way we needed.
Internet is super slow. other than that, everything is great.
Exellent hotel, very clean, good service and the people very nice , I will recommended to friends and family.
At the end of the street but since everything is so close it is more an advantage than an issue, we can start exploring right upon arriving. Large rooms, hot showers, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast (eggs made to order!!!)
The only negative was the noise from a construction site nearby in the morning starting at 7:30 am but this was not a significant issue for us as we are always awake at this time and the hotel cannot do anything about this temporary situation. The rest was perfect...
Good value
Friendly staff. We had an issue with our first room and they gave us a different option no problem. Breakfast was ok, and location is pretty central and nearby everything you need. Only problem is you hear everything from inside the hotel, every door closing across all floors as the inside stairway is open and it echoes a lot so we would wake up whenever people go in their rooms or leave.
Brand ne hotel, 15-20 min walk from train station, comfortable, but bed was too hard for me, I did not get much sleep. Good breakfast. Helpful staff, hotel allows to store our bags during daytrip to Machupicchu
Met us at the train station on arrival. Provided important information regarding going to Machupicchu and allowed us to leave luggage. Very friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend!!!
A close walk from the train station and fairly new facility. The communications manager received us at the hotel and was very helpful. Located at the end of a street, it is far enough from the train tracks to prevent disruptions in the night.
While the hotel was furthest from the town center, bus station and train station, it was warm and cozy. The hotel and room was white and sparkling clean. The blanket was microfiber, warm and lightweight. The bathroom floor was heated. The shower was gloriously warm. (Just came off a week long host family stay where the opposite was true.) The staff and especially Enrique were very accommodating. Enrique went out, bought us dinner and bottled water in the rain. Met us at the train station and brought our luggage in a downpour on our return to Cusco. He was persistent in making contact with our precooked private guide to Machu Picchu. Great fellow!!!
Excellent service, breakfast was amazing, staff was very informative and helpful during a time of need.
Upon arriving at the property around 2 pm, the manager advised that they still needed time to clean, which was understandable as they were full the night before. By the time we completed with checkin and paid for the room, it was clean and ready to go. My husband and I were so exhausted from prior days of hiking that the only reason for booking the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE was to have the jetted tub to soak our sore muscles to be ready for Machu Picchu in the morning. We laid down before dinner and then and ate. Once we returned to the room, I was ready for the jetted tub. My husband took a quick shower before I started the tub. I started the water; there was no foamy bubbles for my jetted tub; and then the water turned cold when there was only 2” of water in the tub. I waited about 5 minuted to see if the hot water would come back on. Nothing. I have never run out of hot water in a hotel. NEVER. So much for my jetted tub prior to MP. I was so mad I just went to bed.
Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast and superb location
Great hotel.. they even made us a packed breakfast as we were leaving for machu picchu before breakfast opened
Poor staff, poor customer service, no air conditioner or fan, noisy neighborhood
The staff were helpful and very kind, but there was an unfortunate odor of urine in the room that seemed to be coming from other than the toilet. There was a lot of street noise during the night and we had little sleep. We did have a nice hot shower though.
Clean, Modern, but on the edge of town
Positives: great service, great breakfast, comfy beds, clean rooms, modern décor, spacious rooms, cheap late checkout ($10 until 1pm), strong wifi Negatives: located on edge of town (feels like a long walk after a long day at Machu Picchu), noise from outside the hotel (chopping down trees, welding, and other activities in the area), noise from inside the hotel (you can hear every door open and close and when people talk in the hall), someone outside was burning shoes and other things, it smelled really bad and made me a little concerned that the tree next to the hotel would catch fire.
Located next to an area with construction and he’s y traffic area
Nice hotel, close to the train station and artisinal market
Recommended
Good hotel, new rooms, clean and close to the train station, friendly staff overall
Two nights in Aguas Caliente
New hotel at south end of Aguas Caliente. Very good rooms. Large king sized bed was comfortable although pillows were too high for my liking but that is just preference. Instant hot water in shower. On second day returned from Machu Picchu around 4 pm and had to wait until 6 pm for hot shower. Guess they shut down during day time. Good breakfast with buffet and cooked eggs if requested. Starts at 5 am so can have before going to MP. This area of Aguas Caliente is quiet at night so easy to sleep and only a 3 or 4 minutes walk to rest of town. Would highly recommend at price we paid. Very large spacious lobby on every floor. Hotel is easy to find. Just walk up through market stalls to first major street that parallels the railway and turn right
They accommodated our room quickly with ease and it was late. Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended for anyone to stay while in Machupicchu.
Very clean, nice modern hotel a 15-20 min walk up the hill from the market and train station, which should be no problem if you are planning to visit Machy Picchu. The town has no cars, so you walk every where. Friendly and very accomodating English speaking staff. Call ahead so the hotel staff can meet you at the train station and help with luggage. You can buy water and other amenities from the convenience stores along the way. They only serve breakfast from 5-7 in the morning, so for other meals you can go to the resto at the Inkaterra which is a 5 minute walk towards the train tracks or walk 15 min across the bridge to the restaurant row. No odors in my room and bathroom. Overall, a great value!
That were willing to keep my backpack and had a nice breakfast that began at 5.00.
Wonderful! Very nice hotel for a good price, and the staff were extremely helpful with tips and support for our short trip to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu
Nice and clean, very courteous staff
It was great. Off the beaten path but nice hotel
Good clean accommodation.
Staff here were very helpful. Room was clean and fresh, not huge but good for the price. Nice comfy bed. The area is a couple of minutes of the main road and in the area where more of the locals seem to stay. I would recommend this accommodation.
Great location, and very clean!
Great location and very clean! Beautiful place. Short stay only to see Machu Picchu, so was perfect for what I needed it for. Hot shower, clean bed, and breakfast to go bag.
Great hotel! Clean, staff accommodating, breakfast good. Pillows stiff, can be loud sad people get up early for Machu Picchu.
excellent service, held our bags for us, always had tea available, room was clean, tub in the room had hot water and was clean, breakfast was amazing and great service in the dining room.
Premises clean and in perfect condition. Away from noise areas.
The hotel is in good condition because is new; however, the personnel shows lack of knowledge and experience in hotel administration. They are very short on staff. The person who perform all the administrative duties, also cleans the hotel lobby, takes care of maintenance issues, receive guests at the train station, supervise personnel, is the same guy who brings you the toilet paper, etc. The person who runs the breakfast area is totally inexperience. The cook really tries to keep up with the orders, but has no support whatsoever. They are short on silverware, cups and utensils. The hotel has a "restaurant or bar" that really has no use. In the other hand, rooms are clean and in good condition. Personnel needs training and motivation, is a shame because they are really nice people but do not have a clue of hotel business.
Nice new hotel. Only drawback is location, it's a little far from the center of the town (plaza de armas)
Excellent choice
It is a couple of blocks from the main places, but it’s worth the walk.
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
Very Basic
Hotel and room are in serious need of remodeling/upgrading. Just a place to lay your head.
The hotel is brand new with modern decor. It is about a quarter mile walk to train station and to central touristy area, which I prefer since I am a light sleeper. The walk is a safe one as there are police all over the place. Breakfast and WiFi are included. I highly recommend it.
Great place to stay.
Although it is not an n the middle of town, I didn’t mind walking an extra 5 minutes to enjoy a comfortable and much quieter area.
Great new hotel with helpful staff
New hotel that is a little further away from the main amenities. But Aguas Calientes is a small town so it's not much trouble. Staff is very helpful and earnest! Rooms are a little cold though, and the bathroom ventilation fan is very loud.
Great hotel, lovely staff, would stay again.
Close to train station
