The pictures aren’t quite the quality of the property. This property is old and the only update that we saw was the bathroom. The air yeas not working properly. We had to open a window to be cool. Would not stay here again. The only positive is that it has a free shuttle to the airport
More like a hostel than a hotel. Walls are paper thin. Heavy metal front door is incredibly loud when opening and closing all night long. I would go elsewhere for the money if you want a decent night sleep and walkable area to enjoy Madrid.
Nice , clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood. The train station was not far so very convenient to move around the city. I recommend it and will stay here again.
The staff were very friendly and professional
Rooms are super small!
The location is relatively close to the airport. The hotel staff is nice and informative. The single room is clean but rather small and walls are made of paper. The hotel was supposed to have an airport tranfer but for one or other reason I did not get the pick up or drop off. There is a bus 200 that stops a km from the hotel.
Great place if you enjoy listening everything from the adyacent rooms.
Avoid - unless you want to live with Ants & Molds
The shower has Molds; Ants crawling in the bathroom and on the bed. We decided to check out after few hours; The rooms are very very small and suffocating; The air conditioner doesn't cools - it just makes noise. The backyard area is just good in pictures - in reality its not usable.
Not unique, pretty basic but see above for dislikes
Excellent stay. Accommodated me for an early check in. Room and bed was quite comfortable. Staff very good. 6-8 min walk from the metro and some shops / restaurant.
Convenient
Worst madrid experience Dont stay here
A very nice hotel with modern & cleanly rooms. The room was a bit small, but for the price and given the hotel’s other amenities was very very good value.
Great hotel
Clean and beautiful hotel.
This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel in the pictures is not the same hotel you actually go to. When I asked about this, they said the hotel in the pictures is a different one and costs more money. Breakfast is not included. When I first got there my room didn’t have a working heater, so I was freezing the whole night. Then I was moved to a different room where all my belonging were soaked and some of them even ruined because the shower flooded the whole room. Customer service was terrible.
Nice location
Great property
I wish for the next time , there is something on the reception at 6 am in the morning
Excellent
The staff was amazing. Very close to the airport. Metro is a walk and very accessible to tour Madrid. Highly recommended.
Clean Modern and Comfortable
This hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable with very courteous staff. Away from tourist attractions but 10 min walk from metro station with direct connection to center Madrid. No bar or cafe at the property or nowhere around. Breakfast is served only until 10 am. After that you can’t find coffee or food anywhere. No coffee or vending machine. Bed is comfortable, linens are good, room at the main building is adequate size, at check in we were initially offered a room at next door building but it was extremely small. The lady at front desk was very helpful in moving us to a bigger one. Breakfast is offered in 3 options: buffet, Coffee & toast and continental which only adds bottled juice. We were wrongly charged one day which was just 4€ additional but equally irritating since we didn’t consume it. Quality/Price ratio is very good. I highly recommend this hotel mainly bc of it’s very clean. Coffee and vending machine would be very desirable. The area is basically residential with nice houses, very quiet and accesible
Clean comfortable hotel away from tourist areas
We choose this hotel to be close to a friend’s house and it worked. It is located in a nice residential neighborhood close to the airport and walking distance to a metro station that connects to Madrid Center. Room was comfortable and very clean (however the first room that we were offered was extremely small, located in a next door building. Front desk was was very helpful moving us to a larger room when we rejected the small one). My only serious criticism is the lack of at least a vending machine. There is not coffee at the premise and not a bar or cafeteria a mile around. Breakfast is served until 10 am. Watch out what breakfast option you are charged for. At check out we had to pay for a more expensive option than what we actually used. In general is a modern, modest, comfortable and clean hotel, with nice bed and linen, and very friendly staff.
I was looking for a hotel in walking distance to my friends house in Canillejas. This hotel was less than a 10 minute walk from my friends house, which is also near Avineda de America. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. The rooms were modern and well appointed. My ground-level room also had a separate patio. Very nice. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and will stay there again in the future.
The room was very clean and it was smaller than what I had read. The breakfast was amazing. They had a great variety To choose from.
Super nice at a great price
Super nice hotel, In a residential neighborhood close to the airport. Away from downtown but short walk to the metro station.
Very clean, attractive with very accommodating staff. Perfect for the night before flying out of Madrid,
They were helpful at all times . Very attentive. Hotel provided shuttle to and from the airport.
Its ok for an airport layover. Comfortable enough and how its relatively quiet with a 6 lane motorway outside is amazing. Away from the motorway the rest of the area is residential. Metro to Centre 6 minutes walk and Shopping Mall in oposite direction again 6 mins. Plenty of bus routes to Airport outside of Shuttle hours.
Like 15 minutes to airport which i like. If you dont want to worry about traffic getting to airport on the day of your flight...this is a great little place. Priced right...clean clean. Room was small..but just needed to sleep. Not too many restaurants around...but..i didnt stay for that reason. Have dinner first if you can.
Good value, fairly close to airport., Shuttle service, nice breakfast included
Good location, short walk to shopping, banks and restaurants. Our room was next to the entrance door and would wake us when someone would enter or leave.
Small room, noisy, you can hear everything from the other rooms. Staff is not friendly
Terrible.
Cosy, clean close to the airport (no bus transfer)
All in all, it was a good hotel to stay in, they put me in a new block of rooms, so it was all sparkling shinning. One of the reasons I booked with this hotel was because of the transfer to and from the airport, when I got the the airport I was informed the hotel cancels this service during the month of August, you then have to catch a bus (number 200) which will leave you close to the hotel in the opposite side of a highway which you have to cross via a pedestrian bridge, which is a huge problem of you're carrying luggages or children etc. They should have a bus transfer on demand! Apart from that, a great place to stay in, the area is great with lots of bars and resuatirand, parks etc.
Very good but rooms a little small
We were very happy with the service, the cleanliness, the room condition and the location. For a one night stay it is perfect, however if you are there longer, as we were, it would have been nice if the room was a little larger.
Property location was excellent for us, very near to the airport and it was in a quite zone, room was very clean, breadfast was plenty with options and they have 2 areas: one outsite with garden around and another inside, everything was very organized. The only bad think is the hotel doesnt have elevator.
The hotel was very near the airport and there wasn't much around it. We managed to find some nice bars...
Receptionist was fantastic, hotel clean and tidy. Situated 200yards from metro. 10 minutes from airport
Short ride to and from the airport (~10 mins). It's also close to a metro station (green line) that takes you to the city in 30+ mins, depending on the stop. Property is very clean and we were in the new building. The water tasted like paint but other than that, it was great.
Lovely small hotel, staff lovely. Quite a way from the centre. Rooftop pool nice (but shallow!). Not sure it was excellent value for money as we paid 3 times the price I later saw it advertised for, for the same date (due to Champions League final). Very accommodating in adding an extra bed after booking.
Nice clean new place with a very good breakfast and 5 minute walk to the Metro, and the van from the airport was quick but you need to call them from the airport to get them there, so have euro change handy to make call or have a phone you can use as they do not take whatsapp calls. Lovely area, close to some good assorted restaurants.
Property provided everything needed for an excellent stay and more!
Convenient for One Night
Met my needs.
Small and good value, but not close to anywhere to eat or drink
Don't stay here
Terrible hotel, told no parking on arrival and had to search the streets. No restaurant, so mis advertisement on here, breakfast only which was extremely below standard. Paoer thin wall's, overall terrible
Functional airport transit hotel. Competent Staff
Clean, new and comfortable to stay in. The only downside is the location. It's quite far from the city centre but can get there easily via metro, just a little longer journey. Good option if you like a quiet place to stay in. The hotel is located very close to the airport, only 20mins bus ride to the airport and transport is easily accessible. Very convenient if you have an early flight to catch. Would stay here again if I am in Madrid.
the hotel was very nice. I was surprised there was no elevator. If they have a shuttle service it should run from 6 in the morning because overseas flights leave early.
Good Hotel close to Metro station
Everything about hotel was good including, fantastic Location, good room, but the reception staff Lady was not good and understanding. Not a very good staff. Also Room AC was not working and when I asked, they gave reasoning, that you can open window.
Good Biz Hotel near IFEMA convention center Madrid
I was on biz trip with my son staying there in a room with two separate beds ... The room seemed too small for two persons; however, the facility seems fairly new or refurbished (we had one minor problem in the bath which got fixed quickly), Breakfast was good, tasty and fairly rich, WiFi was just fine, and we had this little positive surprise when discovering their no charge shuttle services to/from IFEMA convention center in Madrid and back to Madrid Airport ... I'd definitely stay there again for biz purposes ...
Close to the airport. Affordable and clean. Adding more characters to meet the minimum...
Rude staff
Very rude staff - not interested, not helpful - don’t recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean and cosy.
Very very nice and beautiful area The room has a nice bed and bathroom . It is super clean
Read the information on free airport transport carefully before purchase. Only operates between 0830 and 2200 and ONLY if you properly advise them 48 FOURTY EIGHT hours in advance. Taxi is 25 Euro each way from airport, This is a hostel more than hotel, separate building from lobby are many rooms. Very new and clean, residential area, nothing close. Extremely small but fully equipped rooms, just watch the transport or you pay 80% or room price for transportation.
It was clean, comfortable, the ac was perfect and a free ride to the airport
Very good stay overall . Very good staff. 😋.
Hotel
The room was clean and super adorable! I loved the desk in the room and the shower was great, close to the airport and it’s so nice they offer to take you to and from the airport, I wish it were a little closer to all the activities in Madrid, but over all we had a great experience here
AMAZING STAFF and great stay.
The hotel was a little far off from the city but it was still manageable. I had a layover, and decided to stay near the airport. The airport shuttle picked me up (at the hotel buses area, different from the bus area), and drove me back within 15 mins. It was super quick and painless. Checking in was an amazing experience, the lady at the front desk (Mar 28 around 7pm) was super sweet and friendly. She gave me ALL directions I needed to get into the city, recommendations for food, and how to get back. She smiled and welcomed me the whole time - I will go back because of her! I told her about the airport shuttle the next morning and she put me on it (it starts at 9am). I had a room off to the side, it was super quiet (i slept really soundly and I wake up at all noises!) and clean enough - I felt like there was a smoking smell to it, which I did not like. The bathroom and bed was clean. The hotel itself looked modern and sleek. Not too many guests and off in an area with not too much noise!
Not my cup of tea.
I booked this hotel because they had a shuttle service to the airport. When I got there on Saturday the woman at the desk said they didn't have one on Sunday. I said that was the only reason I booked there. Her attitude became unpleasant at best. She said "you have two choices, a taxi or the bus". This was a no cancel room or I would have left. They have no elevator. I had a medium sized suitcase and being a senior citizen I could not carry it down 2 flights of stairs into the basement. She did carry it for me. The room was the worst I have ever slept in. The hotel was not full and she could have put me on another floor. The room smelled bad and it was very small. It was like a monk's cell. I should have insisted on another room but I did not want to deal with her again unless necessary. I checked out 4.5 hours before my flight just to get out of the hotel. I did end up taking the bus to the airport the next morning. It only cost 1.50 euros. I had to struggle to get my suitcase up the two flights of stairs. I never saw another guest the whole time I was there. The hotel is located in a neighborhood. It appeared to be safe. You have to cross a major highway to get to a coffee shop (nice) and the bus stop. There are cross walks. Just be careful. I was told there was a restaurant for breakfast (8 euros). I wish I could say something nice about my experience but I can't.
Great hotel - close to the airport
We were there for one night only but would spend more nights. It was winter but in the summer the pool on the top floor would be nice. Staff were very helpful about getting into Madrid - a 25 minute metro ride.
They checked us in even though we were very late. We had an issue with three train and they still let us check in. The breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful.
Comfortable Hotel - Nice Airport Access
Nice hotel and quite comfortable. Close to airport and the hotel shuttle service is a great addition. The area is suburban with some small businesses/shops. No attractions close by however the hotel has easy access to major bus & metro routes in/out of Madrid central area.
Nice small hotel, friendly reception staff. Good breakfast
Clean and spacious room
I honestly booked this hotel because of the free airport shuttle and breakfast which I didn’t get to use unfortunately. The shuttles only run weekdays Mon - Fri. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff is friendly. I’ll definitely book here again during the times I can use those useful amenities!
Hotel won't disappoint.Trains are not in service
Very good value for money. Everything you could need in room even a toothbrush and razor.
The shuttle bus service to the airport is a big plus and was the reason we picked the hotel. We will stay again next time we are in Madrid.
Clean, no restaurants close.
Female clerk at the front desk should not deal with people. Extremely rude young women.
Great budget friendly choice!
Loved this hotel! 20 mins by metro or a €15 taxi to the centre of the city. Beautifully appointed rooms, friendly staff & great breakfast.
Covenient airport stay
Friendly staff are very welcoming. The bed was large and comfortable with nice plush pillows. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from a few eateries and bars - nothing really fancy, but quite adequate. Breakfast was included and it was a reasonable breakfast offering cereals, pastries, a good selection of fresh fruit and some hot food. There is a pleasant outdoor eating area where it is nice to relax and enjoy the meal. The hotel offers free airport transfer which is very helpful.
Facilities
The location of hotel was ideal for our purpose in Madrid. Breakfast had great options of continental type breakfast. We were very disappointed to find that the pool and associated facilities were not open at the time of our visit which had been one of the reasons that we booked this accommodation. We did ask to speak with manager and staying for 6 nights we have yet to receive contact. Great shower just a couple of attention to detail points: there as a couple for 6 nights got one toiletries pack with 1 toothbrush in it and great coffee machine 2 people 3 pods for 24 hours. We did buy more of our own that's ok.
Peaceful choice !
Really nice staff ! Breakfast buffet had many items and was just what we wanted for a reasonable price. Room was quiet for sleeping, good a.c. Nice, clean bathroom with amenities ! Plus, they gave us a ride to the airport right to our terminal ! Really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would stay again if in the area !
Nice and small hotel in good location.
5 minutes walk from metro and bus station. Hotel staff is generally happy to help although one lady from reception has not been helpful for us. I solved my problem after she finished a shift.
Quiet in the City
My husband and I arrived at this hotel, which appeared to be smack in the middle of a residential area and loved it! The location is very convenient to the airport it was 28-minute travel door to door. It's a 6-minute walk to the buses and the metro which takes you directly into the City Center. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The cost of the stay was worth it.The room was a nice size, for a one-night layover or even a week long stay. We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but the outdoor patio looked very inviting and quiet. When we return to Madrid, this hotel will be on the top of our list to return to.
Comfortable short stay
We were only here overnight before our flight, but everything was absolutely fine. The hotel is a little further from the airport than we had thought but the shuttle was prompt and drivers friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
Quiet guest house hotel
I was there on a weekday. Tiny but comfortable room, very quiet. Not sure anyone else was there. Close to the metro. Staff was bilingual & helpful with directions. Slightly bizarre decor--I had a giant James Dean face on the wall above my bed. Shower so small I smacked my head against the wall but that's typical here. From the airport it was about 23 Euros cab fare. Tried to get an Uber next day, but no cars were available & the metro turned out to be cheaper.
Great hotel close to airport
We stayed here for 1 night in transit to other destinations and it was great. The boutique hotel is quiet, clean with large rooms and bathrooms. Bathroom has 2 amenity kids with all the basics (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, razor, shampoo, lotion, etc) which is a nice to have. Breakfast was ok - had the basics like meat, breads, fruit, tea/coffee/juice. You can take 1 bus from the airport (MAD) and walk about 5-7 minutes to the hotel. There is great signage as you walk from the bus stop.
Airport Shuttle must be MADE IN ADVANCE; NO JOY
Since the hotel description simply said 'airport shuttle' and that staff was onsite from 8am until midnight, and that there was an airport shuttle, we didn't make prior arrangements for the shuttle. When we arrived in Madrid, called the hotel, THAT is when we were told that the shuttle was by prior arrangement only. NO JOY! This little surprise resulted in a 25 Euro cab ride. No biggie, but we wither wouldn't have waited until we arrived at the airport - or we would have booked another hotel by the airport. We had an early flight out the next morning and needed to be close to the airport. It was very frustrating that the communication was so spotty. Also, the beds and pillows were VERY hard. However, I will say that the bathroom was very spacious. Wouldn't stay here again, even though it was very inexpensive.
Just stayed overnight for early am departure.
Comfortable but need GPS to find way around the area.
Decent hotel in a decent location
The good: the hotel was tidy and clean and there are only 25 rooms so there weren't a lot of people coming and going. The location of the hotel is only about a 7-minute walk to the metro line, which takes you directly downtown, very easy. There's a lovely sitting room at the hotel and an outside lounge area that is very scenic. The shuttle service to and from the airport was a great bonus (although it was not available on my last day, but the buses at the bus stop by the nearby metro station take you directly to the airport). The bad: the hotel rooms are very small and the carpet in my room had several stains. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I was hoping it would be, especially the pillows. The fridge didn't work. And the customer service from one of the staff members was awful. I honestly felt a little animosity from this person, who was very cold and brusque to me. It was only this one person who treated me badly, thankfully, but it made my stay somewhat unpleasant.
Close to the airport, very friendly staff
Stayed for one night for a layover flight.. There was a group of us with an extra person. We couldn't get an extra bed in but we were given another room for a great price. The staff are very friendly. It's a 2 storey hotel with no elevators, which is unfortunate, but they do have someone to help you with taking luggage up the stairs (he helped during our check in). We were worried about our shuttle bus not picking us up since our flight came in the late evening, so we called the hotel and they made sure the van picked us up in 10 minutes. Breakfast was good, check out was simple and the shuttle bus was on time. I would book again.
We picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and because of the free airport shuttle. We had to be at the airport early in the morning and the shuttle doesn't start running until 7:30am. There also isn't any staff from midnight to 7am on site. When we checked in, the hotel staff was very helpful with helping us book a taxi for the morning. Room was very clean and hotel looked very nice.
Not what was promised on Expedia. Breakfast was not included.
Fabulous!
The staff was very accommodating and helpful despite my late arrival! I was so comfy that I slept in! Very quiet hotel! ➕➕➕
I was only there for a night and got there after reception was over. Attention was really nice the morning after and ans shuttle to the airport was really nice
Wonderful Staff Makes The Hotel Even Better
I was a bit concerned when arriving at MAD airport the information booth had not heard of this hotel. I called the hotel and they immediately dispatched a shuttle to our terminal and take us to the hotel. The hotel is quite small, perhaps a boutique hotel. Everything was excellent in quality, cleanliness and quiet. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant since we had arrived late and hadn't seen any restaurants within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and low price. However, the selection was limited to the menu of the day. Breakfast was included in the room price and was excellent. We liked this hotel so much that I have booked two additional stays in the next two months.
GREAT VALUE HOTEL
MY STAY AT THE HOTE WAS GREAT. THE STAFF WAS FERY FRIENDLY AND MINDFUL OF MY NEEDS. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. ITS CLOSE TO THE METRO AND HAVE COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLES TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT
Hotel Globales Acis y Galatea, Madrid, Spain
The hotel itself is nice but our room had not been cleaned in 3 days we were there, nobody replaced soap, shampoo or towels. When we arrived our room smelled very badly and the smell lingered for 2 days. AC took almost a whole night to start cooling the room.
Good hotel at good price.
Very good quality hotel. Very clean and well kept. Staff very helpful and speak English. Room well equipped including air conditioning. Bit hard to find including for taxis but sat nav gets them there.
great hotel close to Barajas airport with shuttle
I needed a place to spawns the night as I has an overnight layover. this Howell was clearly the best choice, as it is located about 10 minutes from the airport and includes a free shuttle service to and from the airport. includes WiFi was also a nice touch and the breakfast buffet was simple yet complete. as far as I know there is a metro station nearby, from which you can easily reach the city center, but my stay was to short.
Piece of Mind
Everything was good with the Hotel, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed to be any trouble. Though I would like a choice of a cooked breakfast, that is purely a selfish viewpoint tho. Well done.
Decent hotel for a reasonable price
Nice place, good location, friendly staff. Layout of hotel is a little quirky, and the bed was lumpy because it was two smaller beds pushed together and not leveled, but overall it was a good place to stay. I would stay here again.
first trip to madrid
a good hotel but very hard to find from the airport when given the wrong direction from airport staff and also it never gave any information that their was no shuttle bus on the sunday but the hotel itself was very good
Lovely little boutique hotel
Lovely little boutique hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. As it was in a residential area it would probably be a bit out of the way if in Madrid for a city break, but would certainly recommend for visiting Ferira de Madrid.
Off the Map!!!
This hotel was literally off of the city of Madrid map we purchased at the train station upon arriving into Madrid. The nearest metro stop to the hotel was 45 minutes from Madrid Atocha train station, and then a 15 minute walk to the hotel. The area is very quiet as it is a residential neighborhood, and thus has no shopping or dining within about a 15 minute walk. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. It almost looks like a modern house converted into a hotel and given the location that wouldn't surprise me. The rooms were okay, a little cramped but livable, however, the fridge in the room didn't work, and there were large stains on the floor. The breakfast was okay but too expensive for what you get, and it is apparently up to the hotel staff which breakfast they want to serve in the morning (the "buffet" - cheese, deli meats, breads, yogurt, coffee, fruit all for 10 euros, or the "continental" - coffee and croissant for 4.50 euros). Lastly, the air conditioning was all or nothing, it could be set to a temperature, but it would continuously blow air all day and night long. My solution was to turn the power off to the A/C, which proved to be a mistake as it could not be turned back on because the hotel had it programmed somehow. It would not have been a big deal if it wasn't late June. My final thoughts are, if you are familiar with Madrid and have a car, this may not be a bad hotel as it is cheap and quiet, but if you aren't I'd look elsewhere.
Nice hotel on the outskirts of the city
If you don't mind traveling on the Metro (subway) or bus, this hotel is great! Situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood on the outskirts of Madrid, the hotel is dekked out in a contemporary decor. The continental breakfast is perfect with just enough variety and very peaceful (the hotel only has 25 rooms or so). The rooms are just big enough for two travelers to stay comfortably. The staff is very courteous. My only complaint was that our room did not have the ability to switch between the heat and AC (the AC was not turned on yet) and it did not have a ceiling fan or bathroom ventilation fan. Therefore after showering, the room was very muggy - at least we were able to open the window in the main living area to alleviate this (the maids would close it after we left).
Ensure you know how to get there by bus/metro
Very nice hotel but when I called to get the shuttle bus at 17.00 I was told it was not possible until 20.00. Had to take a taxi or wait three hours so took the taxi which cost 13 Euros wih having to pay for the return. Taxi very unhappy to take me such a short journey The hotel is quite near Cannillejas Metro & bus station. Take the bus 200 from the airport or metro & change. The walk approx 100m up the RHS of Aveneida of the Americas until you see the sign for the hotel. Be carefull of the traffic!!!!
Great hotel near airport!
20 Euro cab ride to the Airport or free shuttle available. Room was very clean with a lovely patio. The hotel is gated and room key is required for after hours entry. My stay was short but trouble free. This was my second stay at this hotel.
Not very considerate during Air Traffic Controller Strike
Due to the air traffic controller strike our plane was delayed and then rerouted to Paris so we arrived a day late. I assumed they would honor our reservation or at least our payment since they knew it was out of our control. They did have a 1 person room available which we squeezed another bed into but they made us pay again. 3 of us in the tiny room was irritating but considering all that was going on in Spain we were happy to have a roof over our head. I thought they should have at least given us a great deal on the room.
loved everything
if you like the comfort, good clean rooms, comfortable beds, free internet, affordable price, and not afraid of taking metro - you will love this too
Globales Acis & Galatea | Hotel in Madrid | Travala.com
The room did not have a lot of natural light and the bathroom was very small.
