Property was fantastic, i stayed in the other branch 7 years ago the GLK Acropol that was very nice too. I would recommend and would have stayed here again, but unfortunately i won't ever be coming to Turkey again, me and my wife were treated very badly at the airport on the way back to London.

Very nice hotel. Central location but do be aware of the hill up to the Blue Mosque etc. Wouldnt be great if you struggle to walk a lot. Nice restaurant over the road. The staff were so so helpful. Overall excellent.

Clean large room well kept. A private balcony with sea view was a bonus. Friendly staff. A bit noisy but does not detract from overall quality of stay. Very convenient . Walkable and an useful T1 team line not far.

This hotel is perfectly located and is close to all the main attractions like Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cistern and many other places. The service at the hotel was great and the breakfast was amazing! It was my first time travelling solo and I felt very safe and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helped me book a last minute trip to Pamukkale before I had to fly back home the following day which amazing that they helped me fo that. Also, I had a visit to their spa and had a Turkish hammam experience which was wonderful as well! GLK was very accommodating and very welcoming! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!

The property was not a true reflection of the site on the internet. It was very dated and the area was not the best. The staff at the hotel were excellent and very helpful.

We stayed in this chain in the different location. This one is OK. Breakfast was C rated hence we ate outside. The other location which is 10 mins away is much better and food was incredible

Plumbing issues. Bathroom sink was slow to drain. Shower head fell off.

Mr Ahmed at the reception is very friendly and helpful and extremely friendly person. He helped us to book a nearest saloon as we can't speak Turkish, we 3 sisters only and enjoyed the close attractions. We had no prob for anything, mostly attractions are on a walking distance. Thank you Ahmed.

A very centrally located hotel close to major sightseeing sites in the city.

nice and clean tidying all around the place breakfast is served with good varieties and fresh condition overall it was good staying in the hotel where easily reaching out for main attractions.

Most of the staff were very friendly. Warning DO NOT DO YOUR laundry there. $100 for 8 pieces. They ripped us off. Breakfast is fabulous. Walk up to Arasta Cafe in Arasta bazaar was easy and other dining options close by too. Easy to catch a Uber here. Property and furniture are dated. Three star not five.

Staff was helpful, breakfast was good and we loved the neighborhood. Easy walking to the hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the tram to go everywhere else. Felt like we got to know the local shopkeepers and restaurant people. And our balcony was fabulous with a great view of the city.

Pretty average property, but it was super close to the town center where everything was walkable.

This is a great hotel. We booked different rooms for a family gathering and the hotel staff was very amenable to our requests. We had 4 different rooms and they were all well kept, clean, and in very good working conditions. The staff members were all very kind, courteous and professional. The hotel is also very well located, close to all major tourist attractions. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Great location for Sultan Ahmet

Be sure to check your mini bar when you check in. Ours was not fully stocked upon check in so when housekeeping tidied up and replenished it, we were charged for things we never took/ate/drank. And there was no way for us to dispute it. We were not given any “VIP” amenities or upgrades for our platinum status on Expedia. Bring ear plugs because you can hear people in the halls and the windows don’t block out street noise. I’m not sure how this is considered a 4 star based on how old the mattress and room decor is. Maybe a 3 star at best. The neighborhood is conveniently located within a short walking distance to the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. However there are much nicer neighborhoods and hotels to stay in for the same cost. And with public transportation so easy to navigate, we wish we’d stayed elsewhere.

Blue Mosque

We really enjoyed our stay at GLK in Sultanahmet. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. We will stay there again. The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sofia were all easy to get to.

I paid $259.99 tax a night, this facility is yearly $69,99 a night, it is extremely inflated pricing for bare minimum facility they offer and the quality they offer extremely poor

Great property in the heart of Sultan Ahmet district. Clean rooms, great staff, steps from little St. Sophia and the actual aya Sophia and Sultan Ahmet Mosque. Would recommend. Breakfast included.

Can was great. He upgraded us when we arrived. He gave us rooms next door to each other. Hotel was clean and friendly staff. The breakfast menu was very limited.

Ferhat and Can are amazing. They arranged transportation to and from the airport with no problem and suggested places for us to go, answered all my questions. Sema, waitress, was always pleasant and friendly really sweet. I have no complaints. Also, restaurant directly across the street is really good.

The hotel was average. I chose to upgrade to a ground floor room, which was nice, but dark with very little sunlight. It was quiet for the most part, except for the neighbours who kept slamming the shared door to the main area.

The hotel was well kept, Staff were helpful, Room comfortable. Convenient location. Disappointed there was no Roof Terrace - which is implied by the photographs but to be fair, not stated in the hotel amenities. City view room is over a noisy street ( daytime traffic). Minibar fridge was a bit noisy. Breakfast not to my taste and exactly the same every day.

Property was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and tourist Attractions. We were also able to arrange our transportation to the Asian side of Istanbul and to the airport. The restaurant across the street was also great.

Great hotel

It was amazing! A great location in a walking distance from the Blue Mosque, and other touristic attractions. Very reasonable price. The rooms are clean and the food is great. But most importantly, the SERVICE was sooo polite and friendly. Every employee (especially the reception) was so helpful and polite.

Never will I stay there again. The bed bugs were unbelievable and the local area is dead😂

Mixed bag review

Though some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, some of the hotel policies are not so good, for instance they dont provide your with Water expect for the first 2 small water bottles,, i had to pay for a Turkish Chai which is normaly free. the HVAC system was shutting off by itself causing discomfort,

Absolutely Perfect

Absolutely amazing stay, staff are more then helpful. Our connecting rooms were ideal for us. Breakfast on the rooftop was gorgeous. Can not fault thos hotel in anyway. Tgey ticked every single bix. Dont listen to the Karens !

Nice hotel near all the main attractions

The hotel is close to the main attractions in Istanbul. We arrived early morning from an overnight flight and we were given a room within an hour. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typically Turkish and very nice.

Great stay for families

We had a great stay. We were a family of 6 with three rooms. They were very accommodating and helpful when we needed it. You are staying in the older part of istanbul so don't expect ultimate luxury. You get more than what you are paying for. Staff was very nice to everyone and was the best part of our stay here. They had a good european breakfast and I really enjoyed the terrace every morning.

GLk spa

This hotel is not a luxury brand experience. Be prepared for a smaller property with a more basic atmosphere. The surrounding area also primarily consists of 2-3 star hotels, and their advertised luxury might not always match reality. The elevator is quite small, only fitting two people with luggage at most. For a more comfortable and convenient stay, I recommend choosing a hotel in central Istanbul. This will give you easier access to major attractions and better public transportation options for exploring the city. Spa forget it. Only the name.

As soon as you enter the hotel the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I met Mr. Ferhat as soon as we entered. He was very professional and helpful. He gave us the rooms before check in time.all other staffs are amazing

Ok so this is NOT a 5 star hotel. It’s a 3 star hotel at best. Do not be fulled by the photos. The walls are very thin and you can hear people yelling on the street. During my stay I even heard a couple yelling and the man started physically abusing his wife! It was traumatizing. The housekeeper did a bad job at cleaning. Book somewhere else

John and all the other staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived in 9am and John had made two rooms ready by 10am which we should pose to check in at 1pm… thanks you all for the services…

Because so many GLK premiers the cab driver dropped us off at the wrong one. We needed another cab to get to the right one. When we checked in they tried to sell us their tours and river cruises which were much higher priced than the same ones at the local tour shops. Just beware before you buy.

Walking ddistance to the blue Mosque.

We stayed at this hotel in late October to early November, 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable and charming hotel, ideally located. John, the front desk manager was extremely helpful and friendly and he made our stay that more pleasant. We were very impressed with his professionalism and genuine desire for us to enjoy our stay. We plan to visit Istanbul again and highly recommend this hotel!

Great location. There are a lot of dining options around and a cheap supermarket not far away. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide good suggestions on visiting sites and make extend staying days really easy.

Returned to same hotel after trip to Cappadoccia.Rooms were even better than the first stay and they were good.

We got room upgrade so we’re extremely pleased but on the last night we were told that they need to use the room so downgraded us to the room we previously booked, which was disappointing . There’s a nice restaurant opposite the hotel, ate there two nights, excellent food. Hotel walking distance to the Blue Mosque and bazaars

Ferhat was amazing to us he coordinated our tips and made us feel very welcome..all the others at check in was amazing as well.. the breakfast was amazing everyday so was the staff.. I will definitely stay at GLK again.

Generally a good hotel ,good location near to all attractions, staff were all good from reception, cleaners ,breakfast, only down side was too noisy ,some nights unable to sleep well.

My flight out in the morning was before the breakfast time at the hotel. Staff made me a to-go bag with food that I could take with me as I left early. It was unexpectedly kind. Staff were welcoming, the property was clean and the property conveniently located walking distance from major attractions.

Our room was great, staff was amazing Ferhat is great guy who helped us a lot ,gave us lost of information of where to go and how to stay safe. We will be back again

Great location but rooms are small

Excellent, no complaints. We had the one bedroom suite which was perfect for us. It was meant to have seaviews but really it was partial seaview, we did not mind. i think the other rooms have full sea views. Property is in the Old Town (Sultanahmet) area, so perfect for walking to main attractions like Blue Mosque, Ayia Sophia, Topkapi palace. Corner shop and restaurants all just outside the hotel. And trams nearby to take you over to Taksim sq, Galata Tower etc. Good wifi, very good breakfast on top floor with great views of roof tops and sea views. Recommended!

The staff were very welcoming. We got an upgrade to a deluxe room with balcony, with a lovely view. The breakfast was great, with a wide range of buffet choices. The hotel was in a convenient location to all the historical monuments all within walkable distance.

Very friendly and helpful staff, from the reception managers, cleaners to apprentices. Each and everyone always smiling and ready to help. We stayed with 2 teenage kids and elderly mothers and really enjoyed our stay. The daily breakfast buffet was nice, rooms cleaned daily and staff spoke excellent english. Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from blue mosque so conveniently located. Accommodation has lots of charm, not a new building but still reasonably well maintained. It has a shop next door and restaurant opposite so very convenient for stocking up fridge or eating out when you don't want to travel. Only issue worth considering is that it's not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, there are steps into the building, no walk in showers and even the breakfast area has couple of steps. Not a big issue but worth bearing in mind. Otherwise this place is spot on, especially as sauna and Turkish bath area are included within stay. A big THANK YOU to all the staff.

The staff was very friendly. They reached out prior to check-in to help us arrange transportation, checked-in with us as we arrived at the airport, and also provided great suggestions about what to do once we checked in. Unfortunately, the rooms did not meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel in terms of comfort, cleanliness, or attention-to-detail; I would recommend that the star-rating be reviewed to manage guest expectations going forward. I also want to note that this is a Best Western. Although the twin beds were placed together, the comforter/duvet provided was not large enough to cover the bed. I also had to overlap the 2 bedsheets provided to use them for warmth at night. The comforter/duvet had stains. Gum was stuck to the wall behind the dresser. There were a lot of flies. My welcome fruit plate was covered, but then someone made a hole to remove spoiled fruit, but then flies were on the rest. Some of the towels had stains and holes. The bathroom did not have sufficient lighting and the makeup mirror would not stay in place. The sink also did not have a covered drain nor was there sufficient counter space around the sink. The bathtub looked like it had an extension placed on the side to protect water from going on the floor during a shower, but it was not long enough and large amounts of water always ended up on the floor, soaking the bathmat. The bathroom updates were not adequately placed over the walls or tub, so they would move in as you touched them.

Shocking!!! Paid extra for Balcony room. Blood on the Bed cover (made a complaint to reception and got advised "so, other people use the room also" well yes its a hotel. instead of replacing the bed cover, it was covered with a bed sheet). Bathroom broken, AC not working. Fridge broken. Balcony door barely holdng on with makeshift Lock. Only saving Grave was Farhad (top man) on reception who helped change the room.

Staff were attentive, helpful and gave a first rate service. Rooms were clean in good order. Easy to walk to all the major historic sites. Local restaurants were good with excellent service.

Great, safe location with a cheap and delicious restaurant right across from the door to the hotel. The only downside, was that i couldnt move in. 😀
