Great lication, close to many attractions, stores, & resturants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean. I would be happy to stay here again
The location was great. It was walking distance from all the main attractions. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Location and staff commitment to service is great
Great central, safe and conveniently located to all major sites and variety of eateries
Great location
A lovely hotel in a great location in the Old City. Friendly staff, close to lots of bars and restaurants and comfortable rooms.
The staff is absolutely amazing. They go out of their way to ensure guests feel welcomed and at home as well as making sure all needs are met. I highly recommend!!
Lovely staff, ideal location
Really a nice hotel in a great location. Very nice and service minded staff. Can really recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel good location
Really friendly staff, great location near the main “tourist” attractions. Not a comment on the hotel, but restaurants in the area are very expensive compared to what you might expect to pay. Go a little further afield and you’ll get a better price.
We loved our stay here as it was quiet and safe and we could walk up to the famous Mosques in few minutes. All of the staff was exceptional and caring. The only thing that could have been better was if the TV was working so that it could have occupied the children. To be fair we reached out to the staff only once for this issue and survived without TV :)
Great property, lovely area. Only problem is the water is not very hot
The staff here are amazing!! The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. There are plenty of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance and Sultanahmet Square was only a few blocks away. Highly recommend this hotel!
A gem
What makes this hotel a gem is by far the service! Mister Ali at reception is the nicest human being you will ever meet. He tries to make your stay pretty much perfect by guiding you where to visit, eat etc. he is a wealth of knowledge that a tourist can definitely appreciate. I highly recommend staying here. I do think booking through their website is more helpful if you need a refund etc if you are staying one or two nights less. We stayed one night less due to an emergency and hotels.com was not able to give the refund for the night. This is not the hotels fault by any means, but rather the booking agency.
The staff is the best experience ever! I eant to thank Mr. Ali A who is the hotel manager for all his incredible attentions and personalized service. Also Miss Nur who I imagine is general customer assistant. We had a great stay in this magnificent and well located hotel. Every person that works there gave their best effort to ensure our satisfaction!
No stress stay
The personal were amazing. Highly recommend. Close proximity to everything to see in this area.

Ali the concierge was amazing.
GLK team exceeded our expectation in regards to their hospitality and how they are. We left our passport and we are already in Istanbul airport. We use WhatsApp to message them and they sent the passport to us and just asked the taxi driver for us to pay when he arrives and they communicated promptly. We were able to come to Cappadocia and not get late and we got on on time. Thank you very much. Ali- giave me istanbul card Emir- late night giy helped with taxi Adem- gave us all information where to go, Ziya. Helped with luggage when we arrived Emir booked a limousine transfer as well as the cruise for us. we are extremely grateful
.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom could make use of an update. It would be nice if they had actual single beds instead of the sofa beds(particularly for older children)
All the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. A special shout out to Adem, always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast was basic but suitable to get your day started. Bedrooms are nice and spacious and clean and the bathroom was the same. Would definitely recommend considering the price.
Excellent
Nice view
View from the terrace was good but it is still old hotel.
Nice hotel in a great part of Istanbul. Walking distance from many attractions and restaurants.
Great location
Good massage in spa centre
I want to mention good and friendly spa and good service in the restaurant.
This hotel was very affordable and included breakfast for our family each morning. They explained the area well and best of all is the 5 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia. We appreciated the entire staffs help making our experience nice. Thanks Huseyin!
One of the best hotels we stayed during our family trip and would highly recommend for the hotel location, their service and care for their guests
The GLK is a nice facility, and the staff is wonderful, from the desk agents to the cleaning staff. It is a narrow and tall building, and the stairs are really steep, so you will probably take the lift. The breakfast buffet is very good, and includes a samovar with genuine Turkish Rize tea. The rooms and interior look a bit worn, so I won't give my review a 5 ✬ rating, but 4 1/2 ✬ would be correct. Note: it is a 10 minute walk to the Sultanahmet tram station. Add that time and more to your outings. Warning: the restaurants on the street facing the hotel are all very high price and tourist-oriented. I do not know where you can find local restaurants in the Sultanahmet District (maybe there are none).
Overall good. But one of the employees was trying to intrude in our privacy. We have stayed here before also. Good satisfying stay overall though!
Excellent staff
We paid for a bigger room as we were staying a few nights. The room was lovely. There were black out curtains on the windows, the bed large and comfortable. The duvet, however, wasn't as big as the bed! The en suite was a little tired looking, and the hair dryer low-powered. The staff are exceptional, very helpful. We had breakfast on 3 mornings, but stopped when we realised we were being charged the full continental breakfast price for an orange juice and a croissant.
While the location of the hotel is not bad the other reviews are misleading (most likely fake). This is a 2.5 hotel- at best. We booked a room with a Queen OR Two Twin beds and front desk insisted only Queen bed. When I showed him our booking he reluctantly added a sofa sleeper to the room. Seemed very unhappy to do that. Petty front desk with no sense of hospitality. The man looked depressed to be there, TBH. The rooms are not clean (dusty). The hotel is small and old (not in the charming sense). Tiny elevator that fits two or three people. Overpriced and subpar restaurant. Restaurant staff speaks very poor english. Will just nod when you ask for something, but have no idea what you are saying. Just go out for breakfast down the street (better value and quality). Noisy at night. Employees chatter all night and blaring fire alarm goes off at 2 AM for 20 minutes. The walls are thin. Book somewhere else if you want my advice. This hotel was the lowlight of our trip, that was otherwise a wonderful trip, to Turkiye.
Loved everything!
Cute boutique hotel
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel . I met my parents in Istanbul and we all stayed at the hotel . The rooms were spacious, nice and super clean . Breakfast was in a charming area and always had a great variety. The hotel is located in the center of the old city and minutes walk to many historic sites. My only comment is that the hair dryer in the bathroom is so outdated so if you use one bring it with you .
Small boutique hotel
Small outdated boutique hotel, terrible view if you didn't get street side, problems with internet. Very nice staff. Definitely not a 5-star hotel, price to value in my opinion bit high. However, if you there just to spend few nights, not a bad choice as it's close to the old city sightseeing.
This is actually a Best Western property. It did not seem like one, however. It seems like a wonderful independent, small boutique hotel. The neighborhood is very safe with plenty of eating and shopping options. It is very walkable to all the major sights in historic Istanbul. Highly recommended for the price.
good
Amazing property with amazing staff a few minutes walk from blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.
The location was superb. Whilst it didn't have the feel of a five start hotel, it was spotless and delivered what it needed to. Best of all were the staff, who were all great. Of them all though, Ali A and Hussain were the shining stars! They went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect to make our stay perfect.
Property is in key location and service is great. First room smelt a bit and had to change which was no fuss room service was great.
This hotel goes out of their way to make you feel their hospitality. The moment you arrive they offer you Turkish tea or coffee and orient you to the city with a map and answer all your questions about where you are and how to get to the major sites. They even offer to help you book things if you need the help. The Turkish bath is reservable and you get it all to yourself. That heated marble slab is not to be missed! The breakfast is tasty and has all the Turkish flavors you will want to try and a few things (like scrambled eggs) to make you feel at home. Rooms are a nice size and the bed is comfy. If you like to be waited on hand and foot then this is the hotel for you!
Courteous staff.
Excellent Hotel!
The staff was kind and quiet. I could not have asked for a better location, better service or nicer place. Just excellent!
Great location. Excellent setvice from hotel staff. I was initially assigned a room with a very low ceiling on the top floo. But the following day the hotel.moved me to a much better room on the ground floor. The breakfast was good but rather limited. Also, if your room faces the.street you can experience a lot of late noise from nearby bars and restaurants.
Very nice, clean, and amazing location. Would definitely stay here again!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, clean (we have a balcony). We have everything we wanted.
Great personnel!
Awesome location
We booked presidential suite but to our surprise it was a very small room . The good part was the staff — Ali and Taylan were both awesome . Our check in process was very fast . He was very helpful in explaining all details about the area , taxis and trams like everything . Location is super , it is right in the middle of a busy street with food vendors all around , very lively and colourful street. Breakfast was ok. Very close to famous mosque Hagia Sofia .
Just Perfect
A fantastic place to stay. The best location for restaurants & sightseeing. The rooms are very nice & comfortable. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The WiFi was excellent.
The room is a little bit small but clean. The staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Very Enjoyable Stay
A fantastic hotel, although a little more modest then it's title and accompanying photos might suggest. It's location is in the heart of Old Town Istanbul, near many if the attractions. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Beautiful and beautifully run top draw 👏
I fell in love with this place. Its a stunning hotel and deserves the rating it has. The management amd staff are a credit to the chain. My only concern was that its described as wheelchair accessible and although i found the inside to be perfect for myself please be mindful theres no wheel in shower only a bath in certain rooms. This is exactly what i wanted but might not be so good for someone wheelchair bound that cannot transfer easily. Also there is currently no ramp at the front door something im confident that the management will be rectifying imminently. They lifted me up the 2 stairs happily without any issue. However to some as we speak wouldn't be happy about. Personally it was a small price to pay to stay at such a well run beautiful hotel it a lovely location. Surronded by restaurants and bars and close enough for a short 10 minute walk to the local metro which is cheaper than chips to use. I hope they get a removable ramp because it would make this a regular stop for me and my wife.
The location of this hotel is extremely convenient. It’s steps away from Hagiya Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Sultanahmet Square. There is a plenty of restaurants to choose from. While on a busy street, it is very quiet at night. The cafe with outdoor sitting is really nice. The staff are wonderful. Only minuses were the room was smaller than we expected and the A/C was not working.
I recently stayed at the GLK PREMIER Regency Suites & Spa - Special Class in Istanbul, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from iconic sites like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace, making it perfect for exploring the historic center. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, blending modern comforts with traditional Ottoman design. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could need, including a luxurious bed and well-stocked minibar. The bathroom was spotless and equipped with quality toiletries. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and the quiet atmosphere despite being so close to bustling attractions. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay, providing excellent service and helpful recommendations. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a wide variety of fresh, local, and international options. Overall, I highly recommend GLK PREMIER Regency Suites & Spa for anyone visiting Istanbul. The combination of prime location, comfort, and exceptional service makes it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers.
The highlight of the stay was the staff. They were nice, friendly, and would help you instantly with anything you need. The rooms were outdated. The bed, especially pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on. The bath tub looked very old and we had a big shower leak but it was quickly fixed by the impeccable staff. Also the water pressure in the shower was really low. I could constantly (day and night) smell cigarette smoke even though it was non-smoking floor. The restaurants in the area were expensive and the food was mediocre, and there would be barkers in these restaurants constantly trying to talk to you to convince to eat there, which quickly became annoying as you cannot avoid them since the hotel is located right in the middle of the street with these kind of restaurants.
Perfect stay in Istanbul. Amazing hotel and lovely staff. All staff were very kind and accommodating including the reception staff, restaurant staff and cleaners. Very helpful and good knowledge of istanbul. Would definitely stay here again because of the staff and location
Amir is excellent! Helped us out immensely. Recommended the Bosphorus dinner boat tour. Excellent. The rooms are small. Some minor repairs are needed. Quirky and lived in but clean. Lots of traffic noises. I'd skip a balcony room and get an interior room.
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. 5 minutes walk from Blue Mosque, and bunch of other attractions. The best location to stay. Soooo many options for dinning, shopping, attractions, partying….we loved it so much. Rooms are so cute. Very good breakfast. It has a small gym too. We would stay there again for sure
Friendly staff, and clean facility.Hotel is a walkable distance to all historic sites.
Great location for exploring Istanbul. The best thing though was the staff! Ali, Hoseyn and not forgetting Mr Galatasary! All polite, friendly and helpful! The lady that cleaned our room was lovely. Will definitely stay again for our next visit to wonderful Istanbul.
Great property and staff. Only complaint was that the sewers in the neighborhood were being worked on, so there was a bad smell at times.
Our stay was amazing! Amir and Housain were great! Provided us with tons of information and basically planned our stay for us. The room was perfect and had a nice little courtyard. Location was perfect. We got the Sultan Massage and the ladies were wonderful. Would not change anything- it was perfect.
The hospitality was lovely at the hotel and Ali the manager Went to the extra mile always The property was very clean. The health and spa facilities downstairs were good. The Wi-Fi was really bad.
Great place to stay visiting major attractions in the old city accessible by foot. Our room did not have a view but the service was excellent. We enjoined the breakfast.
A big thank you to the staff at GLK for making it such an amazing stay and helping us with our queries. Hotel is conveniently located and plenty of places to eat or grab a beer. Would highly recommend!
Nice, clean hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was OK. But the TV in my room didn’t work, the room itself was very small, there was only one tiny bar of soap provided, and the adjustable shower head kept slipping and sliding down the pole. Decent hotel but maybe a little overpriced.
This is not a 5 star. The hotel photos are deceptive. I was immediately given a hard sell on tours (twice actually). The rooms and public area are dated, chipped paint, and old. My electricity when out in the middle of the night and I woke up to a phone with no charge, which delayed my hours. The maid kept knocking on my door. She used outside my room for her cart and was incredibly noisy. Lastly, the hotel has a central staircase that carries noise. The front house staff were nice, but this was a horrible choice on my part and very expensive due to location…NOT quality.
I will return. Great location and service.
The hotel staff are great! Breakfast was superior!
Good
Well kept hotel with friendly and helpful staff located in a very lively area. Excellent breakfast.
We stayed there with a toddler and a nine month old baby. They provided a crib. There are lots of dining places and small grocery stores around which made easy to buy dippers and baby food for my baby. They also have babysitting upon request. The lady who does housekeeping is available for babysitting after 3 pm. She watched my 2 kids for 4 hours while me and my husband enjoyed a hamam/SPA. The hotel is small but have an elevator. Veru close to Aya Sofia.
Nice from far but far from nice.
This hotel was a huge disappointment. The description on Hotels.com makes the hotel out to be a small slice of luxury a short walk from the Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Fortress. It is a short walk but it certainly is not luxury. Some points: It started on arrival. I arrived early and asked to leave my bags at reception until I could check in. No problem... Only the receptionist left my bags next to the front door. I asked to move them away and he argued with me, asked me what was valuable. Eventually he moved them away from the front door (that is right on the main street) I purchased a suite with a separate bedroom but was only given a double room with an additional rollaway bed. The afternoon receptionist decided to argue that that the double room was a suite. They did change (after a lot of arguing on the definition of a suite) and in fairness the morning staff were very helpful! Some other things in the room description: Luxury Bedding - ours were worn and even ripped in places. Luxy towels - Ours were old, rough and frayed at the edges. Some were even from different hotels! Luxury bathrobes - we got none even after asking. Luxury toiletries - standard hotel bottles. Spa and Hammam - was out of order and appeared to have been out of order for a while. Soundproofed - We were kept awake until 1 - 2AM by the pub across the street. My smart phone measured this as 45-50 dB everyday work noise. We didn't sleep much. My suggestion - book somewhere else!
Overall was a nice stay. Specifically got a room with bathtub not only bathtub was a size of tv box it wasn't working. Had to wait more then 24 hours to have someone to check.. And after that issue was not resolved. Manager keeps saying you can use saina all the time finally to there and sauna not working..
Excellent stay. Great location, lot of restaurants, near public transport. Staff is awesome.
Staff are very helpful .
Fantastic Hotel in the Heart of old Istanbul
Took my family to istanbul for the first time... we could not have been more pleased with our hotel experience. The location was absolutely outstanding, the service was first class, and the breakfast experience was genuine Turkish. Highly recommend!
Excellent location. So much to see nearby. Very helpful staff
Great hotel in a perfect location.
Excellent location a short walk from the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc! Very kind staff. We enjoyed the hammam and massages, and the breakfast was very good.
Wonderful people at this property. However I would only recommend for young couples without children as it’s a very dense area and busy. Location is more for a younger crowd. However the staff are so amazing and kind. Also very clean.
A nice little hotel within walking distance of all the major attraction's. Pleasant staff and good English. Concierges help was invaluable in finding and booking guides and excursions.
Not as expected.
Great service
This hotel is brilliantly located in the old town, everything is walkable and convenient. The staff were very helpful and always friendly, the breakfast was ok, simple but nice. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could do with some modernizing, but worked well for our family as the family suites can accommodate 4 people in two separate rooms.
This was my favorite hotel. Staff was friendly. They gave me suggestions and answered all my questions.
Very nice.
Excellent location, large rooms and very friendly staff!
Really nice room, very kind and helpful staff, perfect location with many food options and attractions within walking distance.
We had an enjoyable stay and the the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel and room were kept to a high standard.
I had a wonderful stay at this small charming old hotel in Istanbul. It's perfectly located within walking distance of old Istanbul with stunning water views. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly helpful and make you feel right at home. The only downside is no parking. Overall , a great choice and highly recommended!
The staff was prompt generous and helpful
Very nice
Best hotel I have ever been to in the world!
I, James, vouch for this hotel. This is the best hotel I have ever been to in the world. Let me elaborate – I have been all around the world and stay in 5-star hotels all the time. Yet this hotel is the best one I have ever been too. Yes the location is great, the breakfast was good, the room was awesome. The competitive advantage and key differentiator for me, was the customer service and support. I am talking about 100 out of ten stars. They always went the extra mile. They answered all of my inquiries about local areas, and gave me personal – I mean personal recommendations because they leveraged their personal network to help me. For instance, I was deftly afraid that I was going to get scammed, but they got me a taxi driver of whom they trusted and everything went so smoothly. Another instance: at the airport I got a little confused because of the updated policy. I reached out to them for assistance and they went above and beyond and contacted someone at the airport to help me personally. Another instance: When I went up to the terrace to simply enjoy the view, Mr. Huseyin was kind enough to bring me some Turkish tea to enjoy. After I checked out, and even after I stayed for only 4 nights, I genuinely felt like I was departing from friends who took such good care of me. A few days after I checked out and was at a different location, I wanted a Turkish local to verify something. The staff at this people helped me - even though I was no longer a guest! Thanks to the staff!
It was the staff that made all the difference! Excellent service. Centrally located for most of the popular sights. Hotel's exterior may need a make over but rooms are cozy n has everything one needs. Great stay overall.
Great location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nise staff.
Great location with nice and friendly staff.
Very kind staff. Breakfast options are very limited though.
Small boutique hotel in busy neighborhood.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was central to the historic sights.

Great stay in excellent location
