I would return to this hotel. It was very clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the staff at the front desk was efficient. The one criticism is the room heater's fan was very noisy .
It sticky here and very stuffy I don’t know if the change the room for me. The room very small
Customer service or help desk was zero. The guy in the morning shif behaved liked he is doing a favor to me, no good gesture, not helpful at all. Indian style Customer service. I didn't feel like I have been living in Canada for last 20 years. No coffee refil.
It's perfect..no other words to describe.
Everything is perfect here, staff is so kind. The property is beautifully decorated. Smells so nice 💯.
Great
Very nice place to stay
Excellent service
Absolutely beautiful, stunning , cozy , nice decorations just like home.Bed is so comfy, sheets smell clean. Love that some units have a balcony for the light. I loved the step in shower....
Mbnot good
Good but limited breakfast
liked the price, location and cleanliness of room.
Overall decent
The room was spacious and had a high ceiling, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were also courteous and helpful. However, there were a few issues that need attention. The room was somewhat dimly lit, with only one light source. Additionally, the TV experienced loading issues. Furthermore, the key card had some technical difficulties, requiring multiple attempts (five times) to gain access to the room.
Helpful staff
Location and Parking is good Cleanness and breakfast were not as expected at all
We had a nice stay, only thing the tub ws leaking it was annoying.
Affordable
Clean, quiet room. Friendly, helpful staff Great value for price
Safety please
When we enter the room its too cold freezing .. when i had my shower the bathtub is so slippery thanks God i didn't slip because the liquid bath gel is dripping on the tub ..nothing left when we needed it..but sooo dangerous..
Everything was great. The breakfast spread was amazing. The staff was cordial. Place was clean. Service was quick. Plenty of parking options.
.
Continental breakfast came up real short, maybe due to off season stay but beyond stale/limited offerings. Otherwise clean and great staff.
Great staff
When I went to the front desk to check in there wasn't anyone there. Called out a couple times and still nobody. I went back out to my vehicle and phoned the property to have someone come to the front desk and check me in. Upon arrival to the room there was no heat on and it was freezing cold! The wall mounted HVAC unit had a broken vent and no real thermosat on it. Seemed it was either full blast heat or nothing at all. Went to fill the whirlpool tub to find there wasn't a plug for it. Called front desk and until I actually went back down finally got a plug for the tub. The breakfast is the typical coffee juice and something through a toaster. The second night the couple next door were on the balcony smoking "something" that was coming into me room through the HVAC unit that was right beside their balcony. Not the hotels fault but sure didn't help matters. been to Niagara Falls many times. first (and last) time at this property.
Good
Good economy motel.
Good if you are a walker. We walked everywhere from here and found the savings worth it. The honeymoon suite is huge and was great to spread out in. We were off season, the snow was interesting. Good central heating. Jacuzzi was excellent. Fast food next door, diners close by.
Parking
It's nice and cool nvenient
liked the comfortable room and continental breakfast that was included. the price was good for a one night stay.
Good hotel to stay with family
Enjoyed my stay ! Thank you
I love the vibe around it… loved the breakfast ❤️ great place to stay
We have stayed multiple times now, we enjoy everytime. The best are evry comfortable.
Hotel Glengate was good and clean. The beds were comfortable, the room smelled fresh, and the washrooms were well-maintained. For $72, I got a 2 queen-sized bedroom for 3 people, which was great value for the price. The staff was polite, though the telephone wasn’t working, and they should include water bottles in the fridge. Overall, I’m happy with my stay at this price.
close to gas station and McDonalds.
The room was clean and that is the main thing when you go to a hotel, breakfast room clean and good variety.
It is very nice and quiet place . It is really accessible to all attractions in Niagara Falls
Good value for the price
To noisy between rooms. Took along time to get hot water Breakfast room to small. Same food all the time. Need to rotate menu. Would be nice to have hot food someday
no good
Always nice to stay here the staff is nice and helpful and it is close to everything in the falls
I was looking for the best hotel with best price I can tell this is the best
We had a pleasant stay at this motel overall, especially considering the affordable price. The experience was great until the next morning when we found there was no hot water. Unfortunately, when we brought this up with the staff, their response was quite disappointing. This issue overshadowed an otherwise good experience.
Great stay
Nice
Nice
Very good option if you are on a budget. Value for money.
breakfast included
Worst place ever do not stay
Well. I was greated by the most disrespectful employee who laughed at me because I came in with a pre paid visa that I had just spent my last 200 dollars on to pay for a room becuae no one acdepts cash anymore .. afrer laughed at i was told it would cost me 300 for a deposit for the room and of course i am not able to pay this so again i M laughed at ... told not his problem no one will take that payment anywhere go get your refund from hotel .com. This left.me outside all night in niagra falls pn the street soaked and frozen with no place.to go ... and now i am not even able to get my refund back on a room because of mo resson ???? This is where people book ??? I just got a termimal cancer diagnosis amd just received a call about my aunt who raised me passing unexpectedly to be lauhed at turned away wotn no place to stay and the hotel.com booking site do nothing to get me a new room or refund
Always a great time staying here the staff is great and helpful the hotel is quiet and clean and there is lots of stuff to do close by I would definitely recommend staying here. For the price you can’t beat this hotel
I booked my stay for the 7th and 8th but on Expedia my trip was showing 8th-9th, the staff were useless and wouldn’t even attempt to help. Ignorant and rude I will never be staying there! I do recommend anyone stay there!
The noise coming down from the upper floors is a bit too much
We had a great time, might just upgrade the breakfast.
Good place comfortable bed
Yes you do absolutely have bed bugs! How dare you respond to my concerns saying you have had no other complaints as I’m now reading reviews on here and on google saying the same thing. I have always had a great stay, what purpose would my complaint be other then to inform you of the issue? I even stated I was not looking for a refund or any sort of compensation. Listen to your customers, shame on you. Due to the lack of due diligence, there is a chance I may have brought them home. Will not be returning and I was a frequent customer.
Good stay
I wasn't planning to write a review, but the manager’s response to my issue has left me concerned for future guests. After staying one night, I woke up with 8 bites that worsened throughout the day, showing a distinct bed bug pattern. I informed the hotel manager, but they were in complete denial about the possibility of bed bugs and didn’t seem interested in investigating further. I also mentioned seeing another recent (October) review that confirmed my suspicions. My practitioner also confirmed it was likely bed bug bites due to the pattern and grouping of bites, as I developed an allergic reaction. My bites are still healing from last week. It’s troubling that the hotel didn’t take my concerns seriously, and I would urge future guests to be cautious. This is a of mid November, 2024
Parking was tricky
Basic room, could use some updating but worked for what we needed. Nothing fancy. Room was fine for those just looking for a place to sleep and be able to walk everywhere.
Nice and clean property. Stafff is very cooperative
A Good Pkace - in Walking Distance
Always a good place to stay. Right besides a McDonald's? Two Minute Walk, to a Tim's? A Ten Minute Walk, to The Falls. What else, can Anyone, ask-for, in Niagara Falls?
👍
amazing hotel breakfast was great very clean only issue was not enough parking
The pictures arnt accurate to what your given, the tv didn't work at first until someone came to "fix it" we then had only a few channels. The jet tub wasnt used because the drain plug was literally brown and the tub was gross looking and old. You could hear other guests in their rooms as well as every vehicle that drove past. The bed was an old spring mattress, well broken in and creviced towards the middle like a 200lb person slept on it every day for years. The A/C unit on max didn't work well leaving the room very hot. There was patches in the floor under the carpet that made creaking noises and shifted as you walked and there's a dozen air fresheners in the slow and jolty elevator.
Good
Only issues is lack of parking. We enjoy our stay everytime, this is our third stay
The Glengate hotel is a very nice hotel to stay for the price. You get a nice clean room and a patio for a price you can’t beat anywhere else in the falls. I would recommend any one that is looking for a nice hotel to stay in on a budget. The people working at the counter are very helpful and friendly.
We had 9 rooms booked for a hockey team so price was right. Staff were great hotel looked as though it will fill our needs for the night. But then we woke up in the morning to most of the players having had bed bugs feast on them during the night while sleeping.
Everything was perfect as usual. This is our favourite hotel.
Facilities look old, rooms aren’t clean, the carpet feels dirty. Personnel was friendly and helpful.
Had an amazing stay good breakfast the parking lot is kinda awkward but other then that was worth it
EXCELLENT hotel
Offered what we needed: a place to sleep and a breakfast in the morning. The rooms were clean, but dated. Parking was difficulty as the lot was full and had very small spaces.
good room
Great value. Very curtious staff
Would go there again
Male staff are very inhospitable, almost to the point of rude. The bed had a giant yellow stain on it, the bathroom was filthy… brown spots on the walls near the toilet paper and sink, and hair on the shower walls. Dried myself off with a towel and a long black hair got stuck to my arm. My hair is red… so certainly was not mine. Went outside and watched a huge rat run from the building under a car. People who were not staying at the hotel parked their cars in the already limited parking lot… and stayed there for hours so, silver lining if you don’t wanna pay for parking around Clifton Hill you can park here without getting towed. However if you’re staying here you’ll have to wait until someone moves to get a spot at the hotel you’re paying to stay at.
Room was clean and stocked with the thungs we needed. Bed was a bit hard. We were about a 15 min walk to the main strip which was nice. Parking was not the greatest but still manageable. Staff was griendly and the continental breakfast was nice .
Quick overnight trip to Niagara with the family and the value and service can't be beat! We have stayed here a few time and every time we are happy with our stay. Thank you!!
Check in time should be ltttlebit early against 3 PM
Thanks everybody
Goog
We booked the jacuzzi room... And the jacuzzi wasn't working.. There was limited hoynwater to use.. Breakfast options are very limited.
Bed bug alert
I woke up and found a bed bug on me! The lobby and elevator reeked of air freshener (air fresheners hanging inside elevator were visible), not good as I documented I have asthma.
Regret
Everything
The room is very spacious
The pictures look better then what you get
The hotel smelled like mothballs and baby powder. Bed was uncomfortable and if I opened my curtains the people on the balcony could see right in our room. Spots on the white bed linens. Parking is bad. Best part was the free breakfast.
Property was excellent at price valued
It was ok to stay and the price was affordable. The walking distance to the falls was quite a distance. I don't recommend staying if you are a senior or accompanying someone elderly.
Money worthy facilities, And professional.
Room was nice and clean but no water was provided. We had to pay for water. We had to ask for brush and toothpaste. Breakfast was okayish. Staff was certainly not friendly. No hi, how are you, no smiles and negative attitude.
Friendly and welcoming receptionist staff
good
Reasonable priced for the room
The bedding had bedbugs
Great little motel.
My husband myself and 1 year old stayed for one night here. The family who owns and runs it were very kind. They set up a portable crib for us and let us checkout later to accommodate a nap free of charge. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with jet tub. Note it does say separated bedroom but it is not. I know for me I prefer a separate bedroom so that my baby can sleep without noise. We got creative and it worked out fine. Breakfast was impressive and they even make you fresh waffles in front of you. No real negatives except the water wasn’t too hot but more warm. And the walls and ceiling are thin.. I recommend staying on 3rd floor as we were on the 2nd and you can hear everything above. But honestly it quieted down after 9. For the price and location it’s a great little motel.
Id think twice... lol
The Hotel itself is literally falling apart, paint and wall paper peeling on the interior and exterior of the Hotel. Parking is near impossible. There was still feces in the toilet of our honeymoon suite. The hot water is luke warm at full blast.. The staff there are definitely the best part of the hotel. Very friendly and when asked for anything, took care of things or answered questions very well. The bathtub in our suite was so slippery that the risk of slipping while taking a shower was near inevitable... and the neighborhood is less than desirable as we could see constant open drug use and couldn't go outside to smoke without being bothered for change or cigarettes.. No vending machine for snacks only softdrinks and to end with a positive note the continental breakfast is actually pretty good.
