all of the hotel staff, particularly the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - every single person both day and night staff.
One of the best locations to stay in Cairo. Great Pyramid view from the room and the rooftop restaurant/Breakfast area. Safe, small refrigerator, tv in the rooms. Their breakfast is out of the world with both Western and authentic Egyptian food which they bring to the table while you sit and enjoy the gorgeous view from 7AM to 11AM. Plenty of taxis (Uber) available as soon as step out of the hotel. Many restaurants from local Egyptian food to KFC, Pizza Hut, and gift/souvenir shops, Shisha Bar also steps away and they are open till midnight. Entrance gate/Ticket counters to the Pyramids are right across the street...literally. Airport is approximately 45 minutes away and Uber will cost about 300Egyptian Pounds ($1 US Dollar=50.80 Egyptian Pound). City Center (Khan el-Khalili) will cost about 200 EP and 30 minutes during busy hours from the hotel. Hotel also offer airport pickup/drop off. I wouldn't want stay anywhere else except for this hotel when I visit Cairo again in the future and miss all the excitements here.
The pyramid view is even better than the panoramic view, but other than that, the food is not tasty, and the area around the hotel is very run-down.
You can’t get a better view or closer to the Giza pyramids and sphinx than this hotel. Walk across the street to the Giza plateau entrance. The terrace serves a good breakfast where you can enjoy the view. Staff was great and very attentive.
It’s right on the road where camels and horse carriages seek riders to the the Giza pyramids so it’s not quiet. But the upstairs terrace restaurant has a beautiful view. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. When power went out all across the neighborhood, one offered his WiFi hotspot and the cafe manager gave me fruit. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast comes with the room and had plenty of vegan / fasting options.
Excellent views of Pyrimids and sphinx from roof top restaurant. Staff very helpful. Walking distance to pyramids ticket office. Excellent value for money. Will stay again
Las personas que trabajan en el hotel son amables
Wow, that view!!!
I cannot believe that for this price we got the location, service, breakfast, view that we did! Staff are all great, the room was huge. The location was barely 60 seconds walk to the entrance to the complex. Breakfast was a feast!!!! Wifi worked great. Waking up and sitting on the balcony with that view... wow!! Ok its a little rough around the edges but if you want to pay triple the price for a pristine room and a worse view than what you get here then I cant help you.
What a view!
This place could not be better places for entering the complex early and getting the pryamids to youself. Lovely bslcony and great food.
The view, is all about the view , just the view , couldn't get enough of the pyramids and sphinx
For price you cannot beat it. Amazing view of the pyramids right from the rooftop Heaven Lounge and bar. Walking distance to the Sphinx gate and entrance to the Giza Pyramid Area!
The staff at this hotel are excellent and very helpful and friendly. The price reflects the aged condition of the facility. If hotel management would spend money on renovations, they could easily charge double the price. The location is second to none. We loved the roof top restaurant facing directly to the pyramids. By the way, you can enjoy the pyramid night show as well.
The place is great, a few steps away from the Giza Necropolis, the breakfast was very good with beautiful views of the pyramids and the Sphinx, would definitely recommend.
The hotel is unsafe due to no window's!! The food is the worst quality and no choices available. Staff: Abdo & Mahmoud are the pillars that hold the place together and this is a fact. We were ready to leave but they pulled out all the stops which is rare. They are helpful, friendly and Hubble and all they did for us was amazing on every level!! Amr was an ultra genuine gentleman and the best tour guide you will ever meet. I thank the three men with all our hearts and I hope they all get a major promotion in the near future as they all lift the hotel service and carry all other staff on their backs. Thank you for looking after us once again!
Excellent Hotel.
The best seat in the area!!!!
I stayed for one week in November here and had a mixed experience. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the building was clean and had a small but nice interior. Location is perfect for visiting pyramids and the sphinx and the hotel will arrange tours to other locations (but much more expensive than booking via Expedia). The roof bar/restaurant, Heaven Lounge, has a fantastic view of the pyramids and cheap prices. The food was typically v good though I had one really terrible meal here one night (I ate here most evenings during my stay). The free breakfast is excellent and the morning staff, led by the charismatic ‘Ali Baba’ were great. Evening service was mixed, sometimes good, sometimes really poor. I enjoyed watching the cats that would come into the restaurant from neighbouring rooftop bars but if you don’t like cats be warned they were there a lot. My room was very basic but clean (I was given room 105). However, the window faced directly onto the building next door with only about a 1-2ft gap so I had no daylight (let alone view!). Fine for me as I spent most of my time on the roof bar or out sightseeing but a bit gloomy when in the room. There was also a lot of noise all through the night from the fridge in the room, the toilet (which would refill the tank by itself often), the air con and the nearby elevator. There was a TV and safe in the room but both were broken. The immediate area is touristy, mostly gift shops and other hotels. Expect to be hassled.
Great option in front of the Pyramids!
On the day I arrived, the receptionist, Mahmood, informed me there was an issue with their system and said they’d have to move me to a different hotel. He claimed there was nothing they could do and showed no remorse, coming across as very rude and very unprofessional. I insisted they resolve the issue, left for the day, and when I returned later, they had managed to 'fix' the problem and finally gave me a room. The stress they caused was completely unacceptable. It’s concerning that they appear to lure guests with views of the pyramids, only to try moving them elsewhere. This was my worst experience in Cairo—very disappointing. Shame.
Amazing view
Hotel was as expected, the view from the roof top is worth every penny. Breakfast was ok not to mt taste but fresh.
Fantastic roof top restaurant/nar, excellent view of Pyramids & Spinks
The property was great. The views were spectacular. Just know that is it about 1 hr away from cairo. We made the mistake of booking a dinner cruise for 3 hrs after we landed and it was not enough time to go to Giza and then back to Cairo. I didnt like that we had to change rooms the next day. It was a little inconvenient but both rooms had the views we asked for and the staff was really nice. Breakfast was pretty good. You get what you pay for. I would stay here again for the views alone.
The front desk was amazing! We arrived late and they opened the kitchen for us! Truly amazing people.
Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff escpecially Abdo, amazing view on the roof top.
Las vistas a las pirámides, es lo qué lo salvaba.
Las vistas hacia las pirámides increíbles, la habitación, no lo qué esperaba, pensamos en cambiar de hotel, pero no teníamos muchas opciones por el tiempo.
Only for the view, otherwise skip
Great view of the pyramids and sphinx if you choose the balcony pyramid facing room. Hotel is a bit run down, old fittings, basi amenities only, beds were uncomfortable, WiFi non existent (please get your own data or hotspot) else you'll be completely off the grid. Staff were diligent, friendly and helpful so the earlier part of this review is NOT a reflection on any of them. Wouldn't really consider it value for money either.
staff was extremely helpful and made us feel safe the entire time, hotel had the best rooftop bar/restaurant and the best view of the pyramids
The employees were very nice and even took us for a walk to show us the area. The view amazing. And the rooftop restaurant amazing too with a view to the pyramids and the night color-and-light show. I recommend them.
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff were more than perfect. If you need anything just ask them. We felt extremely safe and taken care of. The view was spectacular. They have a roof top restaurant thats amazing! They have hookah too. I recommend them overall hotels in Giza.
We got the wrong room but they fixed as soon we told them… they got us the room and offer us more because of the inconvenient …. the hotel was clean… safe with a beautiful view of the pyramids … the staff was friendly !! Thank you ☺️
This hotel must have one of the best views You could wish for. That is what you are paying for. The hotel itself is typical for the area. It's clean and most importantly managed and staffed by the most wonderful people. Everything from the moment they collect you from the airport to the moment you're dropped back is taken care of. Nothing is too much trouble . The food is good quality, limited menu keeps quality and speed of service to a good level. I highly recommend this hotel. The value for money is incredible. 5 stars
Really really recommend it! Perfect location and great service
This was our best place to stay in Cairo!! The area is touristy and has lots of security so we felt safe, the hotel was clean and nice location, waking up to see the pyramids everyday was an absolute dream!! The prices of the rooms were affordable and the staff were very helpful….. also big shout out to the restaurant chef and servers they are THE BEST! We had delicious breakfast everyday with beautiful music and perfect scenery :) Definitely we will stay here next time we visit Cairo
I don't usually leave reviews for the hotels, but this one was exceptional. You can't get that view of the pyramids and beat the price. Very affordable, clean, safe and we had an amazing time. We loved the free breakfast with the views of the pyramids. Ali, our morning waiter was extremely nice. Good food and free light & sound show too from the roof terrace. The bathroom and shower are big. The rooms are cleaned daily. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel can organize airport shuttle for $30, free pick-up with 3 nights stay.
Everything they advertise is true. You can have a nutritious well prepared Egyptian breakfast while staring out at the Sphinx and Pyramids. You can see the light show from the same restaurant. The rooms are spartan, but clean with ample hot water a shower and plenty of bath gel. READ: you need a guide…the hotel offers good tours at a good price…I got lucky and stumbled in to a local guide who was trustworthy so I spent my tour time riding around Cairo with my guide and his Uncle in their family car. Whatever you decide “taking the tour “ is essential when you arrive fresh to Cairo. The only problem I had was the cleaning schedule. It seems that there is none. The room was super clean the staff was smiling and nice but, sometimes they come at 8am sometimes they come at 3 pm right when you’re enjoying a football match on the TV. Very minor foible nothing to shout about but if you want to invite guests to your room to watch a match or just “hang out”it is good to know that housekeeping is not going to interrupt. Oh I forgot the air conditioners are new and work great. I could have stayed downtown and locked myself on a tour bus instead I got a little more adventure..,and found out there is a 4 star restaurant called Khufu’s in the pyramid complex which for a westerner is very affordable. Thank you Giza Pyramids View Inn for helping me enjoy one of the coolest vacation/adventures I’ve had in years!
We enjoyed our stay. The pyramid view from the restaurant top floor is the highlight of the property The rooms are adequate, small refrigerator provided and water bottles. The shower have good water pressure. The staff are pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again.
Facilities were great, staff was nice and friendly. Great experience overall
Honestly not worth staying so close to the pyramids. This area was super unsafe and soo many baggers. The hotel wasn’t pretty aside from the upstairs restaurant, the views were amazing! But the hotel in general wasn’t nice at all, we actually decided to change hotels and checked out of here early. I would recommend staying near the city
The thing that makes this hotel is the view. Wow and never gets boring. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was what you can expect for the area and most importantly the aircon worked lol. Food was really good and again the view from the rooftop bar was awesome. Would recommend.
Staffs were very helpful and provided good services
Good location however had issues with the room and water and electricity went off a few times. The hotel moved us which was nice of them. Tbh you get what you pay for and for the price it was it was nice
Great location and very clean property. Great staff ! Rooftop is awesome too !!
Very nice and clean hotel with an amzing view if you get a balcony ! The staff was very nice and helped me out with anything i needed!
The hotel was nice, but the corridors and elevator should have been air conditioned. The WiFi was also very slow and pretty much unusable. The area around the hostel is also not ideal for foreigners, because many of the vendors are aggressive and it’s not clean.
That was very bad experience that no power for 24 hours and we couldn’t even breathe from the hot
Great place to stay and great views
Must stay!
Great location. Delicious breakfast. Incredible view!
Loves the floor plan, location, easy of using the subway and going to the square.. would stay again and recommend highly Peter P
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accommodating. Mahmoud the mgr took great care of us coordinating private tours and rides for us. Omar his driver was excellent, safe and always on time. The tour guides Roshdy and Khled recommended to us were excellent. We enjoyed the roof garden and incredible views of the pyramids. I would stay her again and recommend Giza Pyramid View Inn highly. Serious Concerns Over Billing Practices at Giza Pyramids View Inn June 2024 I recently stayed at the Giza Pyramids View Inn from June 9th to June 11th, having booked my accommodation through Expedia.com. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with serious concerns about their billing practices, which I feel compelled to share. Upon my departure, I was asked by the front desk to settle my bill, which should have been straightforward. However, after the first credit card was declined for reasons not made clear by the staff, I was forced to use a second card. To my dismay, I later discovered that both cards had been charged for the same booking, resulting in a double charge that has yet to be resolved. This type of oversight is not only inconvenient but raises questions about the hotel's management and operational standards. It's unacceptable for guests to have to deal with such errors, which can significantly disrupt personal finances and travel budgets. I am currently in the process of resolving this issue with the hotel, but it remains a point of frustration that could have been easily avoided. For a hotel in such a prestigious location, overlooking the majestic Giza Pyramids, one would expect a higher level of professionalism and customer care. I urge the management to address these issues promptly to prevent future guests from experiencing similar inconveniences. As it stands, I would hesitate to recommend Giza Pyramids View Inn until they improve their transaction ha
It was clean and tidy Staff was excellent and their tour package was excellent with guide I wil recommend this hotel to anyone
While the owner works hard to upkeep things, the general area around the hotel feels unreliable but, hey, it's Cairo. The hotel does have an amazing view of the pyramids from the top floor rooms (At least mine). One can even see the Sphynx. Things to know: The hotel key is an old-fashioned key, not an electronic key. Across the street, an event center plays loud music some days. I called management and they told me they'd try to handle that. Breakfast is good and above the quality of most bed and breakfast.
Perfect views
Location was perfect, loved the breakfast on the rooftop!
The staff tried to clean the room after we noticed hair and dirt in the sheets. They offered complimentary drinks to make up for the unclean room. They were overall accommodating and nice but after saying the shuttle was free, at the last minute said it was $50 to get back to the airport and free shuttle was one way only. They tried their best otherwise to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Please note there is no working elevator on the property.
This hotel it’s perfect if you want to have breakfast in front of the pyramids, it can’t get any better than the view they have. It’s clean, they’re working on the elevator and other areas, but in general its ok. The breakfast its very authentic, with different side dishes and wonderful bread and coffee, but Ali Baba makes you feel very welcome, he made our breakfast time the best. Their staffs it’s always ready to help you, like Hassam, always trying to make you feel welcome. Just be advised that the dinner staff it’s completely different from the breakfast. We waited for two hours to get our food and left the restaurant without eating because the server decided not to serve us without any explanations, even though he served other tables and they had food pretty quickly: We are Latinos, so we came to the conclusion that the reason probably was racism, because we felt like that on other situations outside the hotel, so its more like the server problem, not the hotel. The managers tried to help us at the end, but we were not hungry anymore. Overall, good hotel, worth the view
The location can't be beat! The rooms were clean and well maintained. The view from the rooftop was worth it alone. The service was not great, other than Ali baba on the roof serving breakfast. The staff seemed more interested in upselling you on tours and trying to move us to anther hotel. Wasn't impressed.
What a lovely place to stay! All the staff here were very friendly and would always help no matter what, would definitely recommend!
Within walking distance from pyramids and shopping
Amazing view, nice roof top and staff was excellent, friendly and helpful
bad experience
1. They tried to send me to another hotel, much worse, I had to fight to get a room in that hotel. 2. the room was not the one I booked. 3. the limoiesa was deplorable. There was hair on the pillows. 4. the wifi did not work any day
Great room, amazing location with view on the pyramids. And what a breakfast !!
Hotel switch not okay
The hotel overbooked and put us in a different hotel next door. So we didn’t get the rooms we had booked. The one we got still had pyramid view but the rooms are old and poor.
Friendly people
Wouldn’t recommend
Standard room does not have windows.
The staff could not have been more helpful, very nice and supportive and couldn’t do enough for me! The view from the terrace is superb and very well located for the pyramids etc, due to it being a small hotel noise carries during the night so if a light sleeper it may be problematic but overall no issues and very happy with the stay, particularly for the price paid!
overall ok
The view from the roof top terrace is great so as the view from the balcony if you have one with your room. Eating breakfast in the morning in the sunshine and having a view on the pyramids is great. Breakfast is quite interesting, there is no buffet, they bring the food to your table so it's every day the same, can be boring if you are staying longer. Also you have to pay for the warm drinks because tea/coffee is not included and the price for them is just slightly cheaper than what you would pay in Europe, I have never experienced such situation anywhere else. Bring cash as they don't want the payment by card. The location is great as the pyramids are just a few minutes away, yes it is a dirty and stinky area but any other hotel located in this area would have the same 'issue', animals like camels and horses passing by and they leave 'stuff'. Staff are helpful and kind people.
Food was Really good and absolutely love the people that works there , they are really nice and helpful, thank you
One notable aspect of this property is that we reserved a panoramic view room, but upon arrival, we were accommodated in a small windowless room instead. While they did compensate with a complimentary dinner, my disappointment lingers as the view was my priority. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, working only half of the time. On a positive note, the free breakfast exceeded expectations and added value. Overall, it could have been a five-star experience if not for the room discrepancy.
The room we got was not AT ALL the one we booked based on the picture. The floor was rotten wood and was falling apart. There were 3 beds in the room leaving no space barely for walk. The only nice part was the balcony facing the pyramids. The food was great and in the morning we had Ali, he was an amazing host and his famous falafel were amazing! His energy and enthusiasm was great.
Best place in Gyza and Cairo!
There is no words that can describe how wonderful we felt in this hotel, rooms are spacious and great bathrooms and excellent service. The breakfast is purely Egyptian, fresh fruits.omelets, fresh pita bread, magnificent coffee and Ali Baba will take care of you is the incredible roof top! I will always stay here if i ever come to Egypt!
Hotel has unobstructed view of the Giza Plateau. Friendly service. Outside is crazy. Beware of scammers and peddlers.
Excellent service and amazing view!
This hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed in while in Giza and Cairo! The staff is very friendly and will help you with any needs! The view was amazing, I sat on the balcony and saw the pyramids while drinking coffee each morning!! And the restaurant on the rooftop was perfect, it has a wonderful wait staff and the food is good! I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to see the pyramids!
I went to the rooftop restaurant and the staff ripped me off. BurgerJumbo was 130 and TurkishCoffee was 40 on the menu, which I ordered. I also added StellaBeer, the price of which I forgot conforming. Then, he said the total cost was 384 EGP. Does it mean StellaBeer costs 214 EGP? why? Also, in the morning I had to pay 50 EGP, even though my breakfast is included to my booking.
Wonderful staff. Comfortable rooms and Amazing view. On the streets you will find challenges getting through crowds of peddlers and beggars. Excellent for a night or two while in town
Lovely host and team. Room was spacious. Only issue was the internet was not strong in the room
Very kind and helpful. Great location and clean
Location is perfect for visiting Giza Pyramids. The view from the rooftop is wonderful. All pyramids are visible. You can enjoy the lights show while having dinner.
Close to Sphinx entrance if you want to tour Giza Pyramid without joining a tour. The hotel has rooftop where you can enjoy breakfast while seeing pyramids in front of you.
Pros: The property was clean, the rooms were nice. I had a balcony view of the pyramids which was incredible. The price was affordable. Cons: the staff were not overly friendly or helpful. The rooftop restaurant was overpriced especially for the level of food you received. And the area around the hotel is dirty and everyone pesters you to death trying to get you to buy something or con you out of money (not that this is the hotels fault just leaving a full review) In retrospect, would I book here again? Yes. But only for a day or two for the pyramids and the rest of the time I would stay in a nicer part of Cairo. But if you want to be super super close to the pyramids with a great view, clean rooms for a great price then this is for you.
Fabulous view of the pyramids from the rooftop terrace. Our room was not what we expected and was a ground floor room with no windows, not the balcony view of the pyramids as described when booking. Due to fullness we were unable to move so spent most of our time at the hotel on the rooftop. Food was good and staff were great
Staff were nice but the check-in is a bit disorganized. The most important thing is to have a guide for the entire stay, because the moment you walk out of the hotel main door you will be accosted by beggars, scammers, difficulty finding a (trustworthy) Uber, and various types of dangers... But if you have a guide who arranges everything (including pyramid visit) then it will be magical. I'm an Egyptian living in Canada who decided to come back (after 39 years) and do it the hard way; and I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get a tour guide.
Excellent location, although area was a bit of a shock at first
Missed the light show both stays as it is only on 3 nights a week certain times of the year. The Giza PyramidsView Inn is all about the View though! No View from any rooms we stayed in, stairs and no lift, food OK but worth the stay for the view from the rooftop - right across the road from the Sphinx & the Pyramids!
Views of the pyramids are epic, hotel is modern and clean with everything one needs.
Great hotel with great staff
i loved it … breath taking views, clean , close to everything , atm one block away
Friendly authentic and so close to the Pyramids Would have liked a parosol or awning on our private terrace
The rooms are clean. My room was very spacious with a living room, nice bathroom with hot water and hair dryer, 2 very comfortable queen beds and one TV set in the bedroom and one in the living room. The fridge was always full of complimentary bottled water. The restaurant serves a decent complimentary breakfast and is also convenient for dinner options. The best about the rooftop restaurant is the enviable view of the pyramids. Enjoy breakfast or dinner with an awesome view. The crew was always very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The helped us with pretty much everything we asked for. The only observation I’d give to the incoming tourist is that because of the proximity of this hotel to the Giza Pyramids there are scammers always surrounding the area lucky for you there are always a lot of policemen posted at the Pyramid gates. All in all, I would visit this hotel again If I ever return to Cairo.
Amazing place!
Customer service was amazing! Family friend place. The roof with breakfast included and lunch/dinner has a spectacular pyramid view.
Unexpecting gem. This is not the Ritz but the staff were great and the views of the Giza Pyramid Complex were amazing. Great food on the rooftop.
Good
Wonderful staff! Excellent view. Fantastic location. Delicious breakfast. Would stay there again.
Hotel was exactly as we expected with amazing views, the hotel staff were so helpful and could'nt do enough for us. We stayed for two nights, amazing view of the three pyramids and spinks from our balcony and even better from the roof terrace where restaurant food service and bar. Food is basic, avoid the pizza its a bit different. Hotel provided free pickup from airport, was a bit tricky to locate the drive as no name held up for us. All in all, we was happy with the hotel, it wasxheep, it was basic and as long as you know what and where it is and are able to manage the people from the steeets trying to sell ypu stuff you will have a amazing time in the pyramid area. Reccomend you get a tour guide.
This property has a gorgeous view of the pyramids which was exactly what we wanted. However, it was a bit unsettling when the power kept going out, considering it was 105 degrees out. We managed to keep cool throughout.
The hotel was great and the location near the pyramids was excellent. Great breakfast and the view from the breakfast room/restaurant would have to be one of the most amazing views in the world. You just can’t beat watching the sunset over the pyramids while having a cool drink at the end of the day. The only issue we had with the hotel was we had booked a room with a view which we didn’t get. The other problem which had nothing to do with the hotel was the area around the pyramids. It did not feel safe and tourists are constantly harassed by people trying to sell stuff etc. This puts tourists off buying, if I was able to look around without being harassed I would have purchased much more than I did and everyone would have been happier. However the hotel was an excellent oasis in the midst of the crowds and hawkers on the streets outside.
It was a good stay . Stuff were very friendly flexible . We got what we wanted . As constructive they can make better the breakfast Menu .
very nice view of the pyramids. you get what you pay for.
Fantastic view of Pyramids including a free pyramid light show at night. Helpful and friendly staff.
Great hotel if you have earbuds
Popular location with a lot of food 5 minute walking distance and other hotels. Staff were friendly and spoke english plus the bar uptop was nice. The only downside is that if your room is on the 3rd floor, under the bar. It will be difficult to sleep as you're hear a lot of chairs/table moving constantly but that's why i travel with earbuds to block the noise.
