I didn’t realize it when booking, but Zel lies within the Melia family of hotel properties. This hotel had only been opened a couple of months and still has a bit of growing pains to go through but overall I would give it a nine out of 10! The service is fabulous as well as the food in the restaurants. There are some things that could be better such as turning down the music in all dining area so you can have a conversation, more umbrellas and tables at the beach and a way for you to know your dining reservations, such as by email text or electronic folio. That being said, we thought the Zel Hotel was magical and would definitely go back! Our hotel room was huge with a Jacuzzi tub both in our room, and on our balcony, there were beautiful pools on the property and a variety of activities, such as fitness classes, craft activities, bike rides, and much more. By the techno music that was being played most of the day it appears as though The Hotel chain thinks this is a place geared for adults or families in their 20s or 30s. I would have to say the average age of the guests were 45 to 50 so the techno music was a little loud and a bit much all the time. Myself and a few other couples did comment on how loud the music was especially in the open air, dining area and management turned it down the last couple days of our stay. I think once the small kinks are worked out this hotel property would definitely get a 10 out of 10 from me.

We really enjoyed staying at Zel. The staff was amazing, especially Enrique & Louis at the Tacorini!! The food was really good for an all-inclusive. Rooms were very clean, the grounds were well maintained, big pool and just a short 15 min walk to the beach. Played tennis and pickleball.

Felt like family. Staff was superb. Some trouble with dinner reservations however staff always tried to help. Refrigerator in room never worked. This is a beautiful property. With just minor problems. Would come back again. Wonderful week

Good property..Good staff..Very Friendly...However the food was absolute worst....Steak House the meat is low quality tasted like shoe leather, Japanese restaurant choice of food was pad thai (not Japanese), sashimi is old tuna..Mexican restaurant was absolute terrible....Need better food...This resort needs to dramatically improve on quality of food...Too much scallops and dry meats and dry fish at the buffet....

Very relaxing property! The staff was very attentive and caring. I definitely will be back. Would recommend the the master swim up suite!

I recently stayed at another all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, and I have to say this place was by far the best experience. I made it a point to leave a positive review because people tend to share negative feedback more quickly than positive, and this resort truly deserves recognition. The staff here were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. While I wish I could mention every single person who made my stay memorable, I want to highlight a few: Jose Luis R. at the pool bar, and Tarzan and Rosendo at the 24-hour dining. If you're ever feeling down or need a mood boost, just go meet Tarzan! His vibrant personality and dedication to service really set him apart from others I've encountered in the past. Thank you again to everyone who made my stay so enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to experience the comfort and excellent service at this wonderful all-inclusive resort!

The room was very nice, but the service was mediocre. We noticed that the floor was not washed for days, sometimes we were missing towels and bath robes. There are only 3 specialty restaurants and one very small buffet restaurant. The beach area is very small with the contemporary umbrellas, that don’t provide much shade. The beach canopy beds were only available for an additional fee. We were offered to purchase one with the bottle of champagne for $100 a day, which is ridiculous. The bottles of champagne were sitting there day after day, and no one would occupy those day beds! We’ve been at the different Melia resorts in the past and we were very happy with everything. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the Zel and wouldn’t go back.

This hotel is a gem! If you appreciate quality over quantity, this is your place to go. The food was delicious and had plenty of healthy choices, the rooms are very spacious, comfortable -kind of a villa-. The staff is very courteous, respectful, and attentive. I give this hotel 5 ⭐️. Thank you Zel for making my stay so fun and relaxing!

Beautiful clean property next to the beach with free transport. Stunning rooms and facilities. The spa was was so wonderful I went twice. I can’t say enough about the cleanliness and service. The only thing I didn’t like was the loud music throughout the property especially early at breakfast. It wasn’t obnoxious music just loud all the time. Otherwise this place was paradise and the concierge service is top tier.

I just returned from a 4 day stay at this hotel and must say the staff was terrific. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. The room was very spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved my stay at Zel. I was skeptical in the beginning since it’s a new resort but the staff was very helpful! Food was great! I had a swim up room and the view was EVERYTHING! I highly would recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. They provided a lot of activities throughout the day. They also have a spa. You can literally walk to the beach but they provide shuttles to and from as well. Definitely was a beautiful experience!!

5 stars aren’t enough to rate our stay here. The staff go above and beyond. Looking forward to going back and seeing their beautiful faces!!!!
