Great location with immediate access to everything Mazatlán’s Centro Histórico has to offer. Notwithstanding, noise was not an issue come bedtime. Top-notch cleanliness and staff attentiveness. All in all, a very comfortable and practical option for lodging in downtown Mazatlán (still just a couple of blocks from the beach).

This is a great option to stay if you are looking for a more quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Room and facilities are super clean. Friendly staff and BED is comfortable! Gamma is literally located in downtown Mazatlan if you want to appreciate the culture and architectural elements of the history of the town.

O hotel está em uma excelente localização. O quarto é amplo e o banheiro também. Funcionários simpáticos e atenciosos. Móveis com algumas manchas, assim como lençóis e colchas. É possível entender que estão limpos, porém as manchas incomodam um pouco. Se estiver no 1o andar 119, ouvirá todas as noites o vendedor de tacos preparando a comida assim como pessoas falando na rua. (Isso não me incomodou, pois não avançava pela noite) Perto de tudo, restaurantes, Plaza Machado, praia, excelente nesse aspecto. Mazatlan é uma cidade encantadora.

Noisy staff early in the morning

It was cute! Staff during the day was great. But my night of check in the front desk didn’t tell me I had to use a key card to get any of the lights working. So I stayed 24hrs without any lights in the bathroom or anything.

The hotel is conveniently located. It’s within walking distance of Plazuela Machado, Mercado Pinot Suarez, and many restaurants. I was a bit disappointed that there was no mini fridge in our room, so we couldn’t keep or drinks cool.

Great place, right in the historic heart of Mazatlan. A three minutes walk to Plaza Machado, and the main plaza. Tons of restaurants nearby, their breakfast buffet is wonderful. The rooms are clean and modern, the flat screen TV is huge, the internet is very good. They have free parking right across the street in a big lot with a gate. Elevator also. And the price is right!

Loved the shower-great water pressure but water temp was lukewarm on one of our five day stay. Bed was very soft and lumpy from bottom sheet and mattress pad not secured….fitted sheets needed! Staff was great and used translate app to help us out. Buffet has something for everyone- fresh fruit, yogurt, omelettes as well as traditional Mexican fare. Panama bakery is a couple of blocks away and is highly recommended.

Clean reasonable for centro

Parking is 4-5 blocks away. Complicated to find reception. If you have kids beware of staying here due to the parking and unloading at check in.

We needed to be in the historic district for our work. The hotel was centrally located and very convenient for us. The hotel staff were accommodating. The rooms were not fancy, clean, and everything worked well. Price was fair.

It was a cool spot because it’s in the heart of the Square and walking distance to every where, next time I’ll bro g ear plugs for sleeping at night because the night life down there never stops and some of the guests were super loud I. The hallways at all times of night, but hey, it’s Mazatlán and it’s perfect if you want to be In the mix of the square

A great place to stay

A clean, well positioned place in Mazatlan, Gamma is well located in the historic part of the city. For not so glitzzy travelers like me, it cozy, very clean and very Mexican. It is located centrally to the market, the beach restaurants, and plaza Machado. For those that enjoy leisurely walks, good food, and friendly people, this is the place to go.

The property was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant served excellent breakfast buffet. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The only issue was when we first entered the room it had a musty/humid smell but after spraying and the rest of the stay was fine. The room was cleaned daily and it has the standard amenities such as an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer.

Customer service has been excellent!!! Rooms clean, nice bed. Never felt in any danger.

I liked the downtown location near restaurants and shops. No need for driving or a taxi.

The hotel location is great as it is within the town old center. The Staff was friendly and responsive. The rooms were adecuate and comfortable. The only detractor was the lack of noise reduction windows that affected our nighrs rest, as the room was facing a street with lots of traffic with loud music systems that are typical in this tourist area.

A visit to an enchanted city!

I spent 10 unforgettable days in Mazatlan México. The Gamma Inn at the Centro Histórico was my home away from home for those days. The entire staff was corteous, friendly and professional. The food at the Papagayo Restaurant on the first floor was simply delicious.The menu was filled with exotic dishes and a full bar was the right combination. I just can't wait to go back!

Hotel is centrally located and easy to walk to historical buildings and restaurants. The beds, pillows and bedsheets were clean and comfortable. On the bad side, the shower drainer was clogged, and had to cleaned it myself (a lot of hair and other debris left unchecked for weeks), a lot of noise from the street and the next room too.

Everything was great. Parking was a little confusing.

Safe and clean space

The hotel is clean and simple. Nothing fancy. Great beds, great shower. AC with a mini split. It was central to all we wanted to do in Maz. We walked EVERYWHERE! Lots of terrific restaurants in the neighborhood. Great spa across the street. 5 blocks form the Malecon. Hotel restaurant had terrific food.

As is true with most places, the night-time photo made it look more appealing. My reservation said Deluxe Room -- got me wondering what a standard room would be. Best of all, the shower was great. Super water pressure and nice fixture. Good location.

Location of the hotel is perfect. Staff great. The only reason I don't grade this better, it's the noise level, after 11 PM, we could here conversations, from other rooms.

The Gamma Inn is good for what it is: a basic, affordable hotel. It does not have much charm, and the staff, especially those on the reception desk, do not go out of their way to be helpful: They do not greet people who are in their vicinity, nor, heaven forbid, would they remember the names of people who stay with them for an extended period of time, let alone know what services are available in their area. Suggestion: That the owner of the Inn set up a 'stage' programme for his/her receptionists with an operator like the Four Seasons. The restaurant staff, in particular those of them who speak English are much better, but the bartender 'needs to give his head a shake.' Early on in my stay, I reported an issue that I had with him to the management, who replied that they were looking into the it, and I heard nothing more from them. In my opinion, he would benefit from being sent to work with Antonio at Bar Ruisenor, a few blocks away, where he might get a few pointers on how to look after people, and run a successful bar.

Centrally located

Great place to start your Mazatlan vacation. Walking distance to city mercado & plaza Machado. Rooms are on 2nd story, security always watching the entrance. 24 hour check in. Good WIFI & A/C. Taxi stand in front, four block easy walk to beach & bars. Gave me the name of a great local taxi driver that we used for 2 days of sightseeing. Was allowed a late checkout. Great value !

It was in the old part of Mazatlan

The area was very friendly and inviting. #1 Didn’t like that the room was not sound proof. You could hear everything outside as well as what was going on in the hall way. Had a very hard time sleeping. #2 issue would be the lack of staff enforcing covid restrictions such as reminding guest that they had to wear there mask in the hotel. Staff would see that guest were not wearing there mask and they still would not say anything. #3 some staff members are not very friendly. At times they would not even acknowledge you were there.

Very nice place, great customer service, close to beach and restaurants. Would definitely love staying here again.

The hotel staff are great and super friendly. They are also very flexible and willing to assist. We arrived earlier than check in and they immediately tried their best to get us in our rooms. There was not one time that I was not greeted in a pleasant manner by any of the staff. The clean up ladies are also great and do a great job. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. All of my stay was great, it is in Downtown area with several walking areas to go to such as: the Mercado, Plaza Machado with several restaurants and bars, and the beach/malecon is about 10 minute walk if you like to walk.

First time in mazatlan and the hotel was amazing the only thing I’ll complain about was the internet. Which I play a game on my phone but couldn’t log on but can stream Netflix so it’s probably just the game server itself. But the hotel is in the middle of DT walking distance to everything you need. The housekeeping was terrible, the lady did not change the bed for 3 days until we speak with the supervisor, they never told us that we can use the installations of the other hotel in the golden zone, small rooms!

Front desk woman was cold and unfriendly. My friend and I asked for adjacent rooms. She said none was available. Then they took us to our rooms and my room was not even made up. So they transferred me to another room - right next to my friend's. So there were adjacent rooms after all. Shower had just a trickle of water. Best thing about this place was the location - right in the middle of Centro.
