An overnight stay, very accessible, free parking is a bonus, as was the decent ev car charging cost... great location and very friendly staff...

Most excellent but check in awful.

The hotel was very good. All staff very friendly & helpful. Having free parking is extremely useful. But the check in process seemed difficult as they could find us the system (we had booked via Hotels.com)

Easy to get around. Bus stop few minutes walk. Short walk to the Bay. Cardiff city centre just 30 minute walk.

Was great

The hotel is extremely dates. Our bathroom smelt of stale urine. The internet would not connect and with two children who’d been on a long drive this is unacceptable as one has ADHD and just wanted to play his video games. Very smelly, stressful and will not return

Location is very convenient and free parking very nice to have for this area. Room was nice enough, but not the most comfortable seating area or bed. Bed was very firm which isn’t my preference. Would still stay here again though as overall it’s a good option for the area.

A lovely hotel with amazing staff. One of your colleagues was able to resolve an issue with the TV so that was great. However the Air Conditioner did not work. The room was too warm. But a nice stay.

Good stay with electric car charging

Pleasant stay. Room clean. Staff helpful. Electric car charging £10 overnight and staff advised on timing etc for optimal use (purchase card after 4pm)

Lovely Hotel

First time we have stayed down in Cardiff Bay area. Hotel so convenient for the Bay facilities ie. Shops restraunts and the Millennium Centre. Free parking and on site with no hassle a bonus. Highly recommend .

Great location with free parking

Few minutes walk to Millenium theatre, cinema complex, bay restaurants and bars. Free parking ( rare for this area) . Left car there at 12, and no issue registration for car even though check in was 3pm. Arrived early to explore cardiff bay. Clean, spacious room. Breakfast was a good quality hot buffet, but go early as it gets busy. Amazing value, based on paying £89 for 2 with breakfast. Doubt that price will be the same at peak times.

A lovely hotel with welcoming and helpful staff

Property was sandwiched between major roads on the edge of a leisure complex. Hotel was in good condition but a little dated. Homely.

Cardiff shopping trip

Excellent few days. We had a twin room with two large double beds in it. Comfortable and clean. Staff were polite and very helpful. Food was excellent. Definitely stay at that hotel again

I've stayed here before and chose to return, I was disappointed this time, with both check in service and bar staff. But the hotel position and rooms were great.

One night stay here was fine hotel in good location for cardiff bay it was clean and comfortable

The room lighting was extremely dim making reading in bed a strain. Higher wattage bulbs please and possibly of a higher degree Kelvin i.e more towards the daylight spectrum. The ambience was rather depressing.

Staff at reception at check in didn’t give us any information re- breakfast or wi fi .

Highly recommended

A short drive into the city (or about 30min walk). Good location to explore Cardiff, the Bay and surrounding areas. Nice comfortable room, free parking (always a bonus!) and breakfast included (though we didn’t partake due to an early start and late awakening) The cost was higher than would have liked but it was central and it was an International weekend.

Generally the staff were excellent in all areas, very cooperative.

Hotel was spotless, spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. In walking distance of the bay with a variety of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable and quiet

Stayed for one night after a shopping trip with my daughters. King suite was very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed including a complimentary fruit basket, water and a bottle of Cava. Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking in a quiet location. Very friendly staff. Only let down was the breakfast, fairly poor selection and I would say low quality produce. It wouldn’t put me off staying again, I just wouldn’t have the breakfast.

I havs stayed in a number of places for work in Cardiff and found this hotel is by far the most convenient for parking and for accessing places to eat . It is easily walkable into the city centre, which takes about 20 mins. Facilities are excellent and food is of good quality.

Great spot, walking distance to the bay and the theatre, as well as the train to take you in to the city Center. Fab breakfast , we’re super busy but really organised

Mattress had a dip in it, pillow was very thin and not very comfortable or supportive. Asked for a late checkout before I arrived, was told to ask when I checked in. When I checked in and asked I was told to ring reception at 8am to check if it was ok - kind of defeats the point of a late check out if I have to get up early anyway and ask if it’s ok.

Terrible bed and noisy

Hotel is warm,friendly, clean and traditional but the actual sleep was horrendous. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and was like sleeping on jelly..your partner couldn't more a toe without you feeling it! The rooms have little or no sound proofing, we could hear the neighbours and the road noise so loudly! Because of this we wouldn't stay again.

Wonderful hotel , perfect for theatre trips.

Wonderfully sized room, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast, reasonable amount of complimentary biscuits, coffee and bottled water. Only negative was TV did not work as was missing the aerial cable. And morning staff were a bit abrupt. Ideal location for the theatre.

Work Trip

Stay here all the time as convenient and has free parking. The breakfast isn’t very good we stop here every month and don’t have it anymore as it is cold and tasteless.

Comfortable rooms ,hotel in a

Stayed here through working in the area. Hotel is in a good location with plenty of parking spaces. There are a few places near to go and eat and drink, 5 min walk from front of Cardiff bay where there are plenty of restaurants pubs and bars etc. rooms are ok and staff are very friendly and helpful but every time we stay there’s always issues getting in to the rooms with the swipe card on the doors, it’s an on going issue and seems the hotel needs to sort their door locking and access system out. At times even the staff can’t get in to the rooms, must be frustrating for them as they’re trying to help guests but can’t. Future inns need to spend some money and get their system updated and reliable. Thank you to the reception staff for trying to help me out on numerous occasions, can’t praise them enough. FUTURE INNS, SORT IT OUT!

Great hotel suited our needs

Slightly strange check in?

Not a major issues but I find it strange that the staff insist that they have to record the long number from your credit card into their computer. Two other people were checking in at the same time and they both queried this and were as puzzled as me. (Apparently it’s an older system and it’s what they have to do?) The number was jotted down despite the fact I had literally just paid with same card.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. It started with a frustrating 30-minute delay at check-in because the hotel couldn’t locate my reservation. Once I was finally given a room key, it didn’t work. I had to repeatedly ask staff for assistance, but instead of addressing the actual problem with the door, they just kept changing the key. This led to an additional 30-minute wait before I could even enter my room. I had booked a King Suite, but unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working, which made the room quite uncomfortable. To top it off, at check-out, I was informed that I had been overcharged due to an error made by the receptionist. Lastly, the lift was also out of order during my stay, adding to the overall inconvenience. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Nice hotel but £26.20 for two glasses of Albariño. I can buy a bottle at Majestic for £9.00. What a rip-off!

Amazing

Amazing 2 nights in Cardiff. I was looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city and found this hotel not far from Cardiff bay. Photo included is the maple pecan pie desert, and I can say I had about 3 portions - it’s that delicious :)

WE LOVE WALES!

Great location, many restaurants nearby, the bay is within walking distance. There is bus and train service easily connecting to city center and beyond. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Plus, WE LOVE WALES!

Friendly knowledgeable staff and great location. Fire alarm went off during night but staff managed this well and apology letter under the door. Price for breakfast was very expensive for the food choices on offer.

Very nice property and helpful staff. The male receptionist even went to my car and carried in my bags! The steak dinner in the restaurant was fantastic! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Average hotel, great staff

This might quite possible have been the warmest hotel I’ve stayed at, I’m not sure why the heating was turned up to tropical, but doesn’t seem very energy efficient. The room had individual soap and shampoo pouches, which claimed to be green, and the shampoo and soap might be but there was nothing indicating that the packaging was. Seems a bit out dated. The interior also felt a bit dated, and the carpet could have been cleaned better and there was hair on the walls in the bathroom. The bed had a quite a hard spring mattress, which some will love and some will have. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, whilst the hotel might be 3 stars the staff are 5.

There was plenty of parking and there is a good selection of restaurants in walking distance. The hotel was good; the room was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. The main issue I found was that there's not enough hot water for everyone taking a shower in the mornings, and at 8:00am there was none left, so I recommend showering in the evening.

Rooms very hot. Air con didnt really work and the first room we were in didnt have a window you could open. We asked to be moved rooms to one with a window which wasnt a problem at all. The window only opened inches! Breakfast too expensive. No fans available

Fab hotel in great location

Amazing location, lots to do by hotel and free parking is a win win. Train station within walking distance, Cardiff city around 20-25min walk. Lots of eateries within walking distance. Hotel room very spacious with everything you need. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly. Hotel bar nice with reasonable prices. Had food in bar on first night which was nice, ordered a pizza on third night which was awful, tasted like a frozen one, definitely not a freshly made one and at £16 I was not happy. Complained to waiter who said he would get the chef but he never came. Have had better pizzas from Iceland! That is the only criticism I have on the hotel, everything else was superb and I’d definitely stay here again.

Great hotel

beds are rock solid and constant noise throughout the night so we couldn’t sleep. we had to leave at 1am due to us not being able to sleep and all the noise. our key cards kept not working so we had to go to reception many times to get them reset. all in all, not the best stay.

Future Inn

All good,had an excellent stay at the Future Inn,Cardiff Bay.Will use again.

Plenty of free parking. . Walking distance to Red Dragon Center and Cardiff Bay.. Beds on the firm side, but comfortable. Rooms are clean and standard facilities as for all hotels. Huge choice for breakfast! Staff extremely attentive and welcoming.

Great place to stay and staff all so helpful. We were so happy with the Guest Laundry and the 11am checkout as we managed to get all our laundry done before we left. Was brilliant . Easy walking distance to all the eateries /shops at the Dock .

On arrival at room 129 at 5.20 p.m. greeted by pizza boxes empty glasses and wine bottles on door. Then went into bathroom and there were no towels. Although 2 beds in room bed nearest door was like sleeping on a slope as different height both sides . Perhaps a new mattress is required. Not happy with our stay at all!!

Had to wait 90 mins for check in, other room types being cleaned before we could access our own. Reception staff friendly but couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything to appease….

Room was spacious. Front desk staff were friendly and responsive. But the bathroom smelled and the beds were not properly made. There were insufficient toiletries and towels. Had to request twice to get the necessary items. Security was lacking and anyone can access the lifts and walk up to the rooms. The hotel location is next to some industrial scrapyards although it is within walking distance of the Mermaid Quay. Parking spaces were very tight and we found the last space at the far end away from the hotel. Will not return again.

Terrible

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived even though we were an hour after check in. We got to our room and it was okay, very tired for a 4 star and not really the standard I was expecting. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We were awoken in the night to slamming doors from people who were drunk.

Really easy to get to Cardiif Bay and in particular Alexandra Head for a concert. You're closer than you think! Staff were very helpful particularly when my Type I diabetic 10 year old had an emergency. Staff very friendly. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Great view.
