Close to city down town and Free trade zone, location is very ideal. People eround are very friendly and many were eager to help even when they knew little English. Front office was very helpful and communication in English was comforting.

Hotel appears to be upscale on surface, but the overall property and rooms have been poorly maintained, with many of the surfaces deteriorating. Pool was nice. Gym has good equipment, especially with ample free weights. Hotel breakfast was decent, especially for the good price. Location was ok, with local dining options within a 5-10 minute walk. Hotel was close to the Shenzhen/Hong Kong border MTR station, about a 15 minute walk. I would stay at this hotel again given if I need to stay close to the Hong Kong border and the prices were reasonable.

Friendly staff

The hotel is a bit outdated. It sits at the border of China mainland and Hong Kong

So much better than the last time I stayed at a Sheraton some 10 years ago. Will surely return to it next time. The Chinese restaurant in this hotel has fantastic service and food. After eating there, my family doesn't want to eat anywhere else in the city. We ended up dining there every day throughout our period of stay.

Everything was ok. Biggest issue for me was the location. It’s inside a free zone. Good for people doing business in the area though.

The air conditioning does not work in this building apparently. I was put in two separate rooms and the first never reached lower than 25.5 degrees C and the second got down to 24 C by morning but stayed around 25 most of the night. I like it cold when I sleep so, needless to say I slept very little on the uncomfortable bed. The only thing pleasant were the pillows. The rooms looked like they hadn’t been updated since the 80s and I was disappointed with almost all aspects of this stay, especially for the price. No amenities were open, including pool and spa, which were the main reasons for booking here, and manager was unreasonable and unyielding when asked for a discount, Marriott points, or some sort of compensation due to terrible stay, and no amenities. I would not recommend anyone stay at this terrible hotel unless they like wasting money.

A Nice Stay.

The room is reasonable in sizes and cleaniness and can see the signs of continuous upkeep. The hotel is located at the border with Hong Kong and a little bit away from shopping areas, and with limited dining places around, but its shuttle service is a plus. Onsite facilities like outdoor pools, indoor hot pools, gym and sauna are great. Helpful staff and breakfast has a lot of choices too.

My hotel had a knocking sound above the first night. I told the hotel staff and front desk to resolve, and they said no need to change rooms and they’ll look into it. Second night, same problem. Could not sleep both nights. All they offers was to waive my 10 USD appetizer I ordered in room service.

Great location for travel to or from HK.

Pleasant stay with good service. Food was ok. The gym had good facilities with nice sauna and whirlpools in changing room. Swimming pool on 6th floor gets good sun. Location is great if travelling to or from Hong Kong, very close to Futian checkpoint. However the local area does not have many amenities by way of bars or restaurants.

Close to check point

Only advantage is proximity to the Futian checkpoint. Assigned first room on the top floor was nice except the strong cigarette smell. This is the reason of low rating for cleanliness. Requested non smoking room and sent message to hotel to confirm before arrival. Smell was too strong for my allergies that we requested to move to another room. It was disappointing that the replacement was of a lesser quality smaller room on a lower floor.

I stayed at this hotel very often for business, the room always keep in good condition except the showering water pressure is a bit low. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Location is very close to Futian border. Breakfast has a variety of choices.

Great Staff

The staff at this hotel was amazing. Our first room smelled like smoke, and our second room the AC didn't work. However, they upgraded up and made sure we had a good stay. They even gave us some fruit as a bonus! Overall the property was very clean and well maintained. We would stay here again.

Would give a miss the next time

Front office management (duty manager, auditor) lack customer focus. However, their concierge service was excellent - especially Mr. Brian, who illustrated what customer service is. He remembers me, my previous day's request, helped me with my request and display 101% professionalism.

Terrible smelling

The west side at least has a terrible smelling outisde and inside the room. Smeliing like a basement that had water flooding and did not take care of it. Really health hazard to stay in . Food extremely expensive for a hotel in China. The service at the Chinese restaurant inside was terrible. Servers don't speak English and they offer you stuff you did not order but you will pay for it (tea, desert,..etc).. Don't order the chicken as you will get only the fat and bone of the chicken

Adequate for business use

Hotel was adequate. Room size and condition was great. Nice huge shower. Was in west tower and a bit of a hike to get to lobby since we had to take elevator down to 5th floor, walk a considerable distance through hallways to East tower and take another elevator down to lobby. Also there was an overall strange smell inside hotel. Not overly strong but was a little like a musty damp smell that was pervasive. Local area of hotel not interesting; had to take a taxi if you wanted to go anywhere to go for a walk or to shops/restaurants. Restaurants inside hotel OK; breakfast buffet included was quite good with variety

terrible experience due to the strong body oddor left by previous guest in the room, and the room was not cleaned well for the bad smell before I checked in. Even worse, the duty manager could not confess the truth, nor did he try to solve the compaint in the proper way

Poor hotel for a Sheraton

No non-smoking room available even though I requested online via hotels.com. I could "have called" as I was told by the check-in lady. Had a huge roof outside my window which blocked everything. Shower water temperature kept changing from cold to hot to cold. Budget shampoo and bodywash. Overall, it was merely a 2 and a half star compared to all the hotels, especially Sheratons, where I've stayed.

The hotel was great. I had an issue with the AC not working, and they sent someone up to fix it. The only concern I had was upon checking out, they tried to charge me 90 RMB per day for using the wifi. They said I clicked the premium wifi button, which I did not. After going back and forth and showing them my phone (the only device I connected to wifi internet) they finally took it off my bill. Pay attention to signing into the Internet there, and the bill! Overall, a nice stay though

Approx 5mins walk from Futian Checkpoint...nice hotel, good gym and swimming pool. Though nothing else around and essentially either u got to walk to metro station which is 5mins walk or take taxi from hotel to get into the town. Overall great place though if u got your own car or pick-up every day arranged.

Just Meh

This hotel is just average, the rooms are fine, it's convenient to Futian border crossing, and the staff is fairly friendly and helpful, but otherwise it is unremarkable. The main drag is the Internet is so painfully slow as to be impossible for me to have conference calls with the US. There is also nothing near here to eat so you're stuck with the hotel food which is okay but expensive.

Shenzhen review

On check in they said I wasn't booked, I had printed out my reservation and they still kept me waiting for more than 10 minutes. They gave me a free drink voucher as an apology. It is a very nice building and quite upmarket. I checked out early and left my bag with the concierge and it seemed as soon as I checked out, the wifi ceased to work.

Perfect location for business travellers

The stay was pleasant with friendly staff. The room on SPG floor is decent and cozy however there is no direct elevator from the lobby. It takes some time to walk all the way from East block to West block to change to another elevator. The room is spacious and quiet for a good rest too. Will definitely go again for my next business trip.

Four Points Hotel Shenzhen

We had a great experience while staying at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the Bellman promptly opened the taxi door and assisted us with our luggage. The Front Desk staff checked us in promptly and although our rooms were not ready because we arrived early and it would be about 30 minutes before the rooms were ready, they took care of our luggage before we asked and pointed out a few places where we could wait. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and willing to help. Check out went smoothly with no problems with the bill. Overall the service was exceptional. Just one item, the hotel is located at the Free Trade Zone so there isn't too many places to walk around. Be prepared to catch public transportation. I should also mention that majority of the staff speak English.

The hotel was clean and bright. Spent some time in the rooftop pool. Small with two lanes devoted to those doing laps. Nice view of city. There was advertisement for afternoon tea for $88/person but had missed the timing for it. Had dinner buffet with free flow wine...Wasn't bad but had better. Took HK trains to Lok ma chau and then short taxi ride over. Spent some time in nearby Coco park plaza/mall before returning to HK.

Good hotel if you need to cross into Hong Kong

The hotel staff were both friendly and attentive, even though not all the staff speak good English they are still very helpful. The executive rooms are clean and tidy, and perfectly adequate, it is a little out of the way from most of the places to visit. But is very handy if you need to cross over the border into Hong Kong and minibuses and taxis are readily available at the main entrance. The food in the hotel is quite expensive, but I cannot fault the quality of the meals whether you go for the oriental or western menus.

A very impressive hotel. No shops or markets nearby, but the hotel ambience was great, rooms very well appointed, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good with outstanding coffee ( arather rare thing). We would definitely stay there again and recommend it very highly.

Good, not great. A solid choice for Western trvlrs

This used to be my main hotel for travel in Shenzhen. However the rooms are starting to look a bit dated and dingy. Overall the hotel is nice and clean. Ask for a room in the other tower (not the tower attached to where they have check-in). Its a bit of a walk (all indoor) but worth it because rooms are a bit nicer. Food is decent. Location is good and very close to the HK border.

Re: Overall is good to stay

It wasn't my 1st time to stay at this Four points Sheraton hotel. At the recent re-visit and still found their excellent friendly service and the comfort of the room is still remained the same over the past years. I personal like the quiet location and yet still convenience to get around easy by taxi. Apart from the room rate + service charges seems expensive, everything else are fine to me.
