Smart, clean but soul-less

Service fell a little short of expectation. Asked to wait 10mins at check in due to a large delegation in front, however only 1 colleague on reception - second colleague quickly spotted me and realised I was on a tight schedule. No iron in room and 3 requests not actioned for one to be provided. Room clean and functional, small bar area, just felt a little soul-less.

Very convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms, really tasty F&B offering - I enjoyed a nice breakfast with plenty of choice available including freshly baked gluten free bread and a wonderful evening dinner from their a la carte menu. Amazing hotel Clean, very friendly staff, Welcoming staff and the best location. Only one small issue which I think is going to resolved is the construction that going out side.

I like the hotel.

I stayed in many hotels in europe, middle east and usa but this was my worst experience. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all, they told me that because the hotel is new.. but it makes no sense cause they should have topper to put on the matress. I had to go down 2 times to the restaurant because the first time the reception wasn’t answering i tried to call from 10:00 till 10:30 but no answers so i had to go down to order. And the 2nd time i wanted to order hot drink like camomile and he told me that it’s not on the menu, so i had to go down a 2nd time to talk with the restaurant and they gave me what i want ! It’s bad that we cannot be connected to the restaurant directly. Last but not least, they called me the day before my check out to ask me what time i will leave ! That was really rude. For a well known hotel, i didn’t except all of these, less than average.

The propert was clean. No shops nearby. The maintenance request response was very poor. The room service telephone was not working and complained couple of times and it was not attended or fixed by the maintenance team. The fromt desk executive Ms GAGLA was helpful:

We had a great experience at hotel also at the spa i had my best massage at spa. People at the spa were really helpful and great, we didn't know we can get massage at the hotel they had no signs or brochures for spa i love going to spas at the hotels it's really convinence for us

It was a perfect stay in this hotel. The only thing I didn't like is that I could smell smoke in my room, although I ordered nonsmoking room.

Management failure of what could be a nice hotel

I wanted to put details of my horrible experience in this hotel, however I thought it isn't worth the time I'm gonna waste on it. So I will cut it short. So this is the short version :)) The shower drain doesn't work. The whole room got wet due to flooding shower. As a result I couldn't have shower the first day. Then the question arised: How did they clean the shower if the drain wasn't working AT ALL? Obviously they didn't have any problem with it as they didn't need to use it. I had terrible, unpolite and strong reaction for my complaints from the young lady in the front desk. I warned them that I would clearly tell about the issues in my stay in my reviews. The lady said "you are free to do as you wish sir." I thought it might be problem with an employee and therefore it would be better to tell about it to the management. So I wanted to talk to her manager and I wasn't let to. I left a message for him/her to call me back however I received no calls. Had problems with room cleaning. Stains on toilet. I had to clean myself with antiseptic wipes. The room was awfully smelling smoke. It was hard to stay without opening windows. Beds weren't the worst I slept on but definitely not comfortable. Overall: They call me "guest" but that is not how we treat our guests. Obviously the business is good for them and they have no will to accept, improve and learn from their mistakes. Good luck with this management policy. Won't stay again unless I can't find another hotel

Four Points by Sheraton was a 5* hotel for us in terms of cleanliness, customer service, room service, politeness of staff, hotel food (Breakfast and Terrace Restaurant). We booked the hotel last minute and the staff were happy to accommodate. The service from the Spa was exceptional, We managed to book in two massages for a good price, Thanks to the Spa team at the desk. In addition, the hotel was quiet and pleasant to stay in, easy location to get to shopping malls and restaurants. The hotel staff were supportive in booking taxi's to where we needed to go as well as arranging airport taxi on our last day. We look forward to staying in this hotel again!

The hotel was brand-new, very well-built and designed. The reception staff was very helpful and allowed me an early check-in without any problem. There did seem to be a lack of staff for the evening bar service unfortunately.

I liked the location and price but not the service. I was a patient who requires assistance in currying my luggage and requesting food, and ice for swelling. None of these were available.

Hotel is new and clean, but in the midnight we need water and room service didn’t answer us, after many time to called reception and room service i had to go to the reception for taking water, but it was amazing because i gave them my credit card in hotes.com and they told me you must pay now after that we give you water!!!!!!!!!!! It was very bad experience about this hotel

Pleasant stay

The stay was so comfortable, the hotel room was very clean and the room was spacious I stayed in the room with my wife and our 2 kids with no issue at all. The hotel staff are also so friendly. I advise people to stay at this hotel. Hotel location is a little far from the old places in Istanbul that tourists usually come to visit in Istanbul but it takes 25-30 minutes to reach any place from there and it took less than 30 minutes to reach the airport.

It is still new and clean, but there is a structural problem in it that makes the bathroom smell, even the whole building sometimes. Reception was asked a question upon check in regarding hotel policy if we leave before the full stay, only to discover that his reply was completely wrong when we decided to leave before the full stay! We ordered a taxi to go back to the airport, the taxi charged x4 the amount it should, they never told us, we thought it was a normal taxi. if we knew the extra ripoff cost, we would have waited for a taxi ourselves Basically, stay away!

My personal review

Hotel is very clean, rooms are comfortable and F&B is good too. Only issue is check-in staff not well trained at all namely GORKEM rude and poorly trained should not be on front desk AT ALL. This type of person facing guests will dampen good efforts made by hotel overall and put guests off future visits. KAMIL on the other hand is a very good example of a well trained and helpful front desk staff. F&B staff amazingly helpful. Hotel Manager is hands-on and very helpful.

Ayrica gercek olsa bile biz otelde babalarinin hayrina kalmadik. Alin terimizle kazandigimiz paramizla otel parasini odedik ve hizmeti SATIN ALDIK. Yani bu hizmet bize bedava verilmedi UCRETI her neyse biz onu odedik ve otelde konaklamayi tercih ettik. Her tatilimizi hem aksamimizi keyifsiz hale getirdiler. Neyse ki biz bu durumun kabul edilebilir olmadigini arkadaslara ilettik ve odadan cikmadik. Bu rezaleti baska otelde yasar miyiz ya da dunyanin herhangi bir yerinde cok emin degilim. Ayrica otele herhangi bir devlet buyugu girisi olmadi bu da kulliyen yalan, parali bir kodoman arkadasimiz otelde alem yapmak istemis sanirim o yuzden biz serefiyle namusuyla para kazanan ve hizmeti SATIN ALAN, onlara gore SIRADAN vatandaslarin hakkini gasp etmeye calistilar. We hebben een geweldige 7 dagen gehad met de locatie van het hotel, vriendelijk personeel en parkeergelegenheid.

Harika personel. İnanılmaz saygılılar. Sırf bu yüzden bile gelip kalınır.
