Extremely clean and staff is so professional. I would choose this place over other hotels . Excellent choice to get a five star place and treatment with reasonable prices. The restaurant is amazing, the chef and his line cooks clearly love their job and the place they work at. Buffet menu is different but same great taste. Waiters and host extremely professional and friendly. Front desk are very accommodating and knowledgeable. I give this place a solid five star. Great staff to remember . Sandy, Alex, Fatouma. The cooks
Would definitely stay again, really comfy bed, staff could not be more helpful, great location easy for airport took me 15 mins, and cool pool / gym / spa
From the look to the staff to the experience my stay felt elevated and special.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Doha, in very close proximity to so many attractions. The Metro transport is the best mode of travel especially if you are here as a tourist as taxis can be expensive. The entrance is right nextdoor and the metro takes you within reach of most of the attractions. The hotel lived up to its name and reputation.
Great price for location
Great Hotel with a great value for location. Extremely well located. Metro station in front of the hotel. Msheireb (downtown Doha) just across the street. Very comfortable rooms and great service. Only down side is that there is no room service, but again you are across the street from several restaurants downton.
Nice and very welcoming
So convenient for the metro and short walk to Souq Waqif. Room was lovely and provided with plenty bottled water every day. The heated pool on the roof was lovely but not enough room for enough sunbeds. All staff were friendly.
Wast perfect check in and out
the worst place to book, don't book it, the stuff are very bias against certain people , the security and the front desk people are terrible
Great location and reasonable price
Thank you for all
The hotel has a great location. Easy to access by metro and there are plenty of good restaurants in a walking distance. Staff was also very friendly and polite. Breakfast food varieties would have been better.
Beautiful hotel with great staff and very nice room, next to a very nice up-and-coming neighborhood
Very well located for transport and right on top of a metro station. Good food, great people, quiet and comfortable - a good place to stay.
The staff was always pleasant and always eager to help. The property is changing ownership and the WiFi became so slow. Overall it was a good experience. I would stay there again.
Beautiful hotel, clean, modern and well designed Mary Ann on reception assisted us with a speedy check in and was extremely friendly & helpful. She enabled us to have an early check in & stored our luggage for us after checkout. We were also able to use the hotel cafe lounge & pool after checkout time, which was useful for our midnight flight! Great rooftop pool & gym facilities. All staff were friendly & courteous. We did not try the restaurant as we were only there for 1 night & were meeting friends for meals out. The location was ideal for us as we wanted to be close to the souq Waqif & transport links are great There is a great deal of construction taking place around the hotel but noise is kept to a minimum & did not affect me at all. Doha is a great place for a few day’s stay
All visitors need to register at the reception, even if accompanying the main guest. I was told that I am only allowed 2 visitors at a time by the staff who had checked me in. I was visiting Doha to meet previous friends & had to arrange for another meeting place at the last minute because of this. The stay was very unconvenient for me.
Room was strange shape but good no complain really except that my one towel was wet in the bathroom so I requested new one and it took 2 phone calls and 2 hrs to get 2 towels. It was afternoon, but this morning my request for water and more coffee packets was granted in minutes
Friendly hotel, comfort too
Very pleasant hotel, good location, metro is at entrance of hotel, nice breakfast, Check-in, check-out very quick
Poorly trained staff, short of Amari quality
The hotel room was ok, but the front desk staff were so poorly trained that it made my stay quite negative. At check in I was met with what was sure to become an insurmountable problem - the computer said I was checking in on the 12th. I insisted I was checking in on the 11th and we came to a complete standoff. Another person, perhaps a manger, had to come over and show the check in person that the check in date was the 11th and the checkout date was the 12th. I received no apology, but was finally allowed to check in. Similarly, at checkout at 530 the next morning, I was told I had to give my coupon. I explained I had no coupon, I had paid online with hotels.com. Still, they wanted a printout of the reservation. I explained that I didn’t have one and have never had to give one in my over 100 stays in hotels.com. The clerk then told me it was ok if I did not want to give. I am not sure why we had to make such a big deal out of this at 530 in the morning before a flight if it was hot necessaery. Just a lot of extra headache. Also should note that while there are two bars, you are not able to get a drink at either. While I have been very impressed with the Amari chain while staying in Thailand, the poor experiences I had with them in Doha and Dhaka have made it clear for me that they do not have set quality standards for all of their hotels
Rooms are big and comfortable. Great showers and beds.
Great hotel
Awesome hotel. Definitely worth a stay. There was building work outside but didnt affect our stay.
In the middle of the city, close to everything. Clean, quiet, comfortable room.
Very good and clean
no comment ,just stay for few hours connecting flight
The pool which is heated, the Spa and the exercise room. The internet was speedy and the cleaning staff and the Concierge were fabulous
It is a nice hotel. I will certainly book it again.
Noisy...dirty...dusty.
The hotel is slap bang in the middle of a massive construction site! It's TWENTY FOUR HOURS working! 5am a loud speaker came on to announce a change of workers shift. We were woken 4/5 times per night by the noise. There are no proper pavements, they are broken or missing. It's dirty and dusty. The hotel lobby is very nice, the staff are also nice and helpful. The room is a bit scruffy, not as nice as we expected. The bathroom is very nice with a good shower. There is no where to walk near this hotel, you will need a taxi. We were disappointed with our stay.
Very decent value for your buck.Is posh and decor is new and clean and modern.Rooms are very well set up.Facilities are good.Breakfast was amazing with good buffet and fantastic selection of foods.Souq Waqif and other markets are nearby.Only my gripe was that in my single bed room, bed size was small but albeit very good mattress which made up.The other being no good channel selection for Indians on entertainment scene but good wifi overall made up.Definetely worth and feels you stayed at nice uptown 5star hotel.
Great location, great air conditioning, great breakfast.
In true boutique hotel fashion, the hotel is stylish although you wouldn't guess that before walking in.
The hotel is good only the problem right now is the on-going construction happening around the whole area the hotel. There's no good view becuase of the roads and other bldgs construction. But overall experience in the hotelwith their staff is good
Nice hotel and the ambiance was exceptional. The price was reasonable and the food was great.
Great breakfast and helpful staff Close to the museum but the weather in July is too hot for exploring
Great hotel!
Hotel was in a very convenient location for the sights, had good amenities too. Was surrounded by construction but never heard this in the room. Most of the staff were very nice but some were not so bothered to help and even quite difficult. Great value for money and would stay again!
Modern hotel close to City Center and Airport
Had a pleasant 3 nights stay at the Doha Amari Hotel towards end of April 2018. Reception, Resturant and Room Service staff were excellent throughout and the Front Office provided sound advice on tours, places of interest and things to do.
Great Value Comfortable 4* Hotel
Currently amazing value. Comfortable beds and pillows. Smart spacious room. Booked the hotel so I could sleep a few hours between flights. Was a bit further from the airport than I hoped - during morning traffic it took about 30 mins back to the airport - about 20 mins there. It is currently in the middle of a building site so it is noisy from quite early in the morning. Served it's purpose well. I am guessing the low rates reflect that fact it might not be the perfect holiday hotel right now until the buildings construction around the site (on three sides of the building) are completed but then the rates will undoubtedly rise.
Nice
Great
Overall, a pleasant experience. The hotel is walking distance to attractions. A quick taxi ride will take you to the city mall and the financial district.
Weekend-Escape
Our stay was excellent. We've enjoy the hotel facilities 🙂. Very recommendable to our friends to stay at the hotel.
Excellent room and hotel Breakfast buffet is limited
Construction nearby
While the hotel is very nice, the reason the price might be low is because of 24 hour construction directly next door. I requested a room change to get far from the noise, and the staff was very helpful. Just bring ear plugs. The pool water is freezing cold in this weather. The coffee shop downstairs often has the staff missing, and it takes forever to locate the staff and have them serve coffee. Besides these somewhat passable issues, the hotel is well located, about a 20 minute walk from Souq Waqif (beware, there are not many side walks along the way). The bathrooms are really nice by the way.
Everything went smoothly and the staff was incredibly helpful. There is construction going around all around the hotel, which was a bit of an inconvenience, but the hotel itself was as advertised and pristine. The room was very comfortable, and I would stay here again.
Not worth the money
Very bad room service Old room Never vacuume carpet Never clean air vent Hot room Old carpet
Not worth the money
Bad room service. Never vacuume room's carpet You can see dirts on the air vents, around smoke detector, sprinklers, and ceiling corner tops.
Very good
Everything was good Recommend to others Only a bit of construction around But overall good
Right in the middle of a major construction zone
Hotel is in the middle of a construction zone & it was Ramadan, so visiting Doha was probably our mistake. Add hot, windy, dusty weather & you get the idea. Walking anywhere around the hotel was a real trial, although it was relatively close to Souq Waqif & excellent Museum of Islamic Art. On arrival, our (smoking, when we asked for non-smoking) room was only provisioned for 1 person, so extra towels, etc, had to be brought. Also, we were given an information form about Ramadan, indicating an evening buffet meal was available. When we arrived at the dining room, we were told the buffet started on June 1, so had to choose from rather a limited & overpriced a la carte menu. Dining room service was also very slow. When I raised the information with reception, they realized the form did not stipulate the buffet start date & had to revise the form for other guests. Hotel facilities were OK but I had to ring to get the Jacuzzi area opened well after it was supposed to be unlocked. The shower recess in our room did not drain properly & there were a couple of room maintenance issues during our stay. At least the room was large & the bed was comfortable. Suggest avoiding this hotel until local noisy construction work is complete. Not surprised to hear the hotel was only 50% full.
Disappointed returning Client
After a previous impressive 5 day stay last August, 2016 I purposefully made it my business to return to Amari. My recent experience was less enjoyable due to problems associated with the Hotel's new policy on their entertainment/TV subscription which now reverts to almost exclusively Arabic channels and signal was very snowy. Not a major issue for an overnight stay but another lengthy stay of 5 days it becomes irritating. Having notified both the maintenance and management on my first day of this displeasure, no solution could be found, very disappointing.
the construction site outside in front of hotel is very bothering and it is 24 hours a day and lots of noise specially in the night.
I recommend it
Clean and good service
Pros: Service, wifi, spa and room service are good. Cons: Lots of construction going on; there's very little to do or see in the surrounding area. Souq Waqif is not too far but due to the construction, it's nearly impossible to walk anywhere so you'll need to take taxis. After the construction, it will be easier to walk to the souq, Al Corniche, and other nearby places within 15-30 minutes.
Wonderful hotel, beautiful terrace
Great hotel, pleasant staff, beautiful room and wonderful roof terrace with pool. Spa looked great, views were breathtaking. Only downside was the great amount of construction surrounding the property. Will make this my regular stay during my visits to Doha. Thank you Amari!
Amari Hotel
It was nice stay overall, but the location is not so good, & the pool is small & the water is cold as their is no heaters available to heat the pool water.
Nice Hotel, by Humid
I started at Amari hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is okay at best, but the room is just too humid no matter what you do. It's cold and humid and can easily smell. The bathroom ooh the room i stayed in didn't work and i am referring to the exhaust fan. The breakfast in my opinion is .5 out of 5 at best. The breakfast is just not good. Lots of verities, but none are good. I won't stay at this hotel again only because of how humid the room was. I also checked another room and it was the same.
Excellent hotel, close to Souk Waqif
Hotel was great. Staff very friendly and curteous. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice and availability Pool and leisure area was great and never that busy. The 3 pools advertised include a toddlers pool, swimming pool and pool with spa type beds and fountains. The main pool was abotu 18m long and a depth of about 1.5m which was more than enough if you wanted to either just paddle about or have a longer swim. No pool bar but plenty of water in your room or the leisure area. NOTE: There is a lot of building work going on outside the front of the hotel. A new metro station is being built but despite this the room was quiet and it was not noticable on the roof top pool area.
Not bad, good sap in the highest floor, location is not good there is work doing in the area
Customer Focused
Extremely friendly staff. Lost a watch on our first stay, returned to the hotel 4 days later and they had the watch waiting on us. Fairly expensive piece of jewelry they could've easily kept, but honesty and customer service prevailed. A lot of construction going on with the addition of the metro, but that's everywhere in Doha right now. Overall a great stay close to the Souqs. Highly recommend for the breakfast and outstanding hotel staff.
Overnight trip that didn't work out well
Original deluxe room was no way big enough for 3 and the pool was under renovation - there is also a massive building site just outside - that said the hotel staff did try and help by changing our room to a suite and arranging our car to the airport
near the airport
The hotel is 30 minutes from the airport ... great for our overnight stopover. Near a local souk.... where we found good food. Nice staff, clean hotel ... great shower! All what you need for a 9 hour stopover!!
Great place for a weekend break
Great hotel in Doha. Good location, nice rooms. The only minuses: no view (construction work - not hotels fault), busy parking, smoking area in the breakfast room should be removed - it stinks.
Newer hotel, horrible housekeeping
The room was initially clean and nice, despite the bad location. But housekeeping only replaced towels and did not even clean or dust anything, did not replace or refilled simple amenities or sheets. The mini bar was full of expired and old items.
Not like the photos and the reviews
We don't like our stay there for many reasons: 1-it's located in old area ,, u should keep the curtains closed because the view 2- bad smell inside the room 3-price is expensive ,,, u could stay in arumailla i souq waqif less than this price I dont recommended to anybody
Don't stay on lower or street view rooms
Good hotel , nice clean room with modern facilities ... only problem was the room, receptionist told me that they upgraded me to a junior suite and I wish she did not do that, its a street view room number 213, on the opposite side there is a HUGE 24HOURS work construction site. Had a friend with me also got a street view room, not sure if those are the allocated rooms for Expedia booking, but he was lucky to be on the fifth floor so with the double sound proof glass he had less trouble than me. Breakfast is good too. Also be prepared that they will ask you or a 300 Qatari riyal deposit in-case you use the mini bar, which i found a bit odd since it was not mentioned in advance.
The best priced and value for money hotel in Doha
If you want value for money and stay in classy, clean, comfortable hotel this is it I am hotels gold member stating atleast 100 nights a year in hotel Roons across the world this is one of the nicest, friendlier, easy to speak hotels My destination Doha will be destination Amari
All round great hotel!
I was upgraded to a deluxe room which was lovely and clean. Loved the big walk in shower. Breakfast buffet had wide selection of hot and cold food including fresh fruit. Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 nights stay.
Nice interior but very dusty exteriors
The inside of this hotel was nice and mostly clean. Having a complimentary breakfast buffet was also a nice addition. However, the nearby construction and pollution made the pool area practically useless. The neighborhood is generally safe to walk in during the day but due to construction, one has to take a slightly longer alternate route to the nearby markets.
Nice but noisy
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Rooms good. Really nice hamam and roof top pool and spa. But NOISY due to Mshreib project which will continue to be built until 2019! Quite hard to get a taxi, but close to to Souk Waif, which is nice.
Nice hotel but (currently) not the best area
Nice hotel, good facilities and great service. Food was reasonable but nothing amazing. Surrounding area is undergoing extensive construction (Nov 14), which will be ongoing for quite a while. This means some noise 24 hours a day but the rooms have reasonable soundproofing. Not 100% but nothing that earplugs won't deal with. Also the early morning call to prayer at the Mosque next door can be heard but that's par for the course in this region. The main issue is that the construction means very heavy and slow traffic, even for Doha! So prepare for some lengthy taxi journeys.
Nice friendly hotel
Had a great time, loved the rooftop pool, my son got a lot of enjoyment out of the pool. I recommend this hotel, it is small but good.
Great staff and very nice rooms. Good value for money. Hotel needs serious renovation though. The cushions at the pool were stained, the smell in the air in the lobby was not what it could be.
Great hotel, clean and nice location. Breakfast is great, defiantly coming back
I had good time in this hotel the room and bed comfy" clean and they have great staff
Great for Business!
Great hotel, staff and location
What a great place to stay in
The place is more than great when we talk about the service and the quality of the rooms. Their morning breakfast is one of the best ones I had because of the verity of food choices and cleanliness in addition to the great taste. One thing to mention is that I wrote to them that I'm staying with them in my marriage anniversary and they did a great job. The serve me a cake beside some flowers on my bed free of charge! Not forgetting the indoor and outdoor pools they have. What a nice place to stay in.

The personalized communication with the hotel staff team was very impressive. Everyone was super friendly and helpful for all stages of our visit. Highly recommend!
