This is a fine property for stay in Ooty. Room is sufficient space, clean. Liked also complimentary snacks in the room. Staff are kind. They even offered my wife and me to light lamps for the evening. Dinner and breakfast choices are very good. Walkable to botanical gardens nearby. Good view of the city.

Staff very helpful and experienced Ready to assist any time

A fabulous hotel in the small city of Ooty. Service was excellent. One example - the tennis final was on a channel that was not subscribed to on the hotel system, they subscribed! Facilities are modern, even having USB charging points built in, in the rooms. The hotel offered several daily activities including free tea tasting every afternoon and evenings around a garden fire, (we missed out on the fire as the weather was awful during our visit ).

The property is in a good position uphill from the town (which we found dirty and disappointing ) but walkable. The room was a good size. Complimentary Afternoon tea tasting. Breakfast choices were good from the buffet. The property was well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good hotel for stay in ooty

Met expectations

It is a lovely property by Fortune ITC. The food is good and the staff is very welcoming. We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Located very close to Rose garden and ideal for a walk to the beautiful park. The service staff and the manager at the restaurant needs special mention they are so helpful. They have a good garden and kids play area. It is an ideal place for the families to enjoy a peaceful vacation.

Amazing stay in Ooty

The hotel is located in central Ooty opposite the rose garden. It may not be possible to walk from the hotel to the city center because of the steep hill the hotel is located on but if you have a vehicle, it is very easy to commute. The hotel is neat and clean and worth the 4star status. The facilities are good if you have time to use them. The breakfast had a nice spread and was good. We did not try lunch or dinner because the rates were exorbitant. no ac but its not required any ways

Room for improvement

I understand that it's a rustic area so can't expect 4/5 star class as in urban areas . However general cleanliness and quality of the food can definitely be improved. Will add to stunning Ooty.

A Comfortable Stay

I had a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were efficient and courteous.

bathroom should be improved. Curtains had plastics knobs instead of steel, therefore could not take load of heavy curtains and were falling down in midnight. Some of rooms were under renovation which were not informed to us in advance. Otherwise hotel location and food was Ok

Beautiful Hotel close to town

Old but charming little ITC hotel

Its a lovely little hotel with a distinct charm, although its getting a little old now and needs refurbishing, which am told is likely to start soon.. esp the bathrooms look very dated... but the ITC service is excellent.. overall a fairly central location.. right nx to the Rose Garden (500 m away from hotel main gate) and rickshaws are easy to get, for local travel... overall quite an enjoyable hotel..

Not so great stay!!

The wifi was not working for the three out of 4 days of our stay even after we complained with the hotel staff many times. The only reason given to us was that it was a technical issue and they cant do anything about it. Seriously, so many days to fix this problem. Few lightnings were not working in our room and so the ambience was not good at all. Bath robes kept in the bathroom were defective and the housekeeping didnt change them even though they were cleaning our room daily. Its no use booking a suite if basic amenities are not attended by the hotel and the hotel staff didnt even have a courtesy to apologise also for the inconvenience and the only thing they did was nodding their heads and agreeing to what we complained. The room service never bought any receipt or bill to sign for the food we ordered in the room even after reminding them few times. The only thing I liked in the hotel was the service provided by the restaurant staff during breakfast timings and their service was excellent and very courteous. The

Hotel staff were very well trained and accommodating. Rooms are well kept but for the price I feel they should include things like slippers, bath robes etc. Loved their lobby & overall ambience.

This was for a family trip with young kids. Hotel staff, while friendly, cannot speak English well. It was a challenge to communicate Poor service of cabs. Have to rely on autos. South Indian food is good. Multicuisine not that good. Rooms are nice and clean. Grounds are ok. Overall good hotel if you are a South Indian. Good location

Expensive for what you get

We were only there one night and 2 things we particularly needed was good internet and for them to book a taxi for our onging journey. While the website advertised free internet, it was only for one device and only for 12 hours, many of which you are asleep!! The hotel booked a taxi for us to get to Coinbatore for Rs4000 but when we went down the street we could book one for ourselves for Rs2000. The general cleanliness of the lift and hallways was not great and the bathroom looked sad, particulary the shower. Compared to other hotels we have been to staff were disinterested and slow to attend.

The hotel is in a good location on the edge of town. It is very quiet and peaceful. Wifi is chargeable but the connection is good. The food in the restaurant is very good.

A very charming hotel serving amazing food!

I had a fantastic stay in this very charming hotel. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. I have no hesitation in coming back to this hotel next time! The only negative aspect is the 'jogging track' in the gardens which is filled with concrete blocks and is not the safest place to go jogging! Also the wifi is pretty weak but this is common to Ooty.

It was a good experience staying at hotel. It is near to rose garden as well to market also.we handsome issues regarding our hotel payment as I've booked through Expedia, but mr Deepak has handled it nicely.

One of the Best Hotel Stays

The hotel was excellent. The staff was courteous and extremely friendly. Every requirement of ours was taken care of with no exceptions. I will recommend this hotel for people traveling to Ooty.

There were hairs near the bath tub which wasn't cleaned all the five days.. Room service and the hotel ambience was outstanding. Cleanliness and Hot water are the ones that need more attention.

Experience with Fortune Sullivan Court, Ooty

Overall experience was quite enjoyable. Mr Dinesh & Mr Venkat were very warm & hospitable. Sullivan Court undoubtedly is the best you can get in Ooty. Suggestions for improvement - The room interiors can be done differently and the washrooms need a design revamp. Such small washrooms shouldn't have bathtubs, they should have shower cubics.

It was over all a very good stay and i would suggest not to go by the reviews mentioned earlier. The hotel the staff , the cleanliness of the room all are perfect. Specially the Manager in the restuarant was very helplful and was ready to serve and provide what ever was asked. A must visit place

Good hotel if you do not mind small issues

The front desk staff are good. The buffet dinner dacility is convenient and the food is priced reasonably. Breakfast spread is good but does not taste the best; you get the feeling that it can be better. Shower knob could have been maintained better; I had to use all my strength to turn it on.

Great Hospitality

When I think about my stay the one thing that comes to my mind is the Warmth attitude and friendly hospitality of the staff comes first. Hotel amenities and Room Service could have been better but overall a great experience to stay and genuine mindset of the Hotel staff to serve the guest was quite evident. My kids love the Piano being played every evening and there is whole lot of room to play outside. Highly recommend for Family with Kids to stay and enjoy at Fortune.
