This is my go to when travelling through Smithers. Friendly staff, clean rooms, park in front of your room.

Great little motel

Great little hotel. It was cute and cozy and had a lot packed into a small room. It looked like it had been recently renovated or just really well kept. I appreciated the vinyl floors as they weren't cold on bare feet, lol!

A very uncomfortable bed and the room was small and dark with only one window that could not be opened to allow fresh air into the room. While clean I think this property is over priced for what you receive.

Perfect overnight stay!

The room was clean, I was happy with the quality of the mattress and the check in was seamless and the front desk clerk was very nice. Being pet friendly is an even bigger bonus! I'd absolutely stay there again.

This property is fantastic!! Clean, the bed was very comfortable, the deep tub and rain head shower were awesome. It was SUPER QUIET. it’s right on the highway and I heard nothing. The fellow who checked me in waited because I was quite late arriving and he was really friendly. I will absolutely stay here again.

The Florence is a comfortable enough stay, but it feels very basic when you stay here. This would be totally fine pre LNG when the prices weren't $139 /night. The bed is comfortable, and the rooms are sparsely furnished. Toiletries are limited to bar soap ONLY, but that doesn't seem to matter as there is frequently no hot water on site. I checked out at 7am and found there was nobody on staff, and no hot, luke warm, or even tepid water. It was a less than desirable way to start my day. Front desk staff at night is great.

Close to highway and restaurants.

Lots of shift workers stay here ... Cars and slamming doors at 1 am ,3 am , 5 am :-(

Ruben was polite and very friendly as always. This was our second stay. There was some confusion prior to our stay as it appeared Expedia overbooked. Ruben went out of his way to find us another hotel in a very busy weekend. False alarm, our reservation was booked twice. I enjoy this property and it looks like they are expanding. We will visit here again next time we return this way.

Pleasant staff. The hotel is usually booked with long term area workers, pipeline and forestry. They treat it as their home, quiet and respectful. You are close to fast food restaurant and just off the highway.

Room was clean - but NO PLUG for the tub- The bed was horrible - metal frame with a thin mattress! -the phone cable would not attach to the phone, and a car was parked in our room spot! Didn’t like having the truck 4 spots down from our room! Will not stop there again-

Small comfortable rooms. A bit noisy due to the late comings and early goings but seems to be largely industry workers. Could smell cigarette smoke in my room.

We had a very good stay thank you. We meet some cute puppy and just had a great nights sleep.

Very run down property. The bed was slightly more comfortable than it looked.

I knew it wasnt top of the line but was not even close to many reviews. Very old and run down at least my room. So tiny I told the wife it is a 1 bed for work camp. Tiny cheap desk and small tv but that is all there was room for. Saying that if you can stand that part the place was nice and quiet, bed was real comfy and actually texted the wife later than usual in the morning because I slept in. On an 11 day road trip and has been the lowest quality so far and I am almost done. Guy at front desk was awesome as well and made the start much better. Tough call on ratings on this one. I think a little fixing and this could be a hidden gem for those quick overnite stops. Would I take my wife here not a chance but I dont regret the stay as I was well rested the next day.

Comfy and cozy

We arrived and requested an upgrade. The front desk graciously upgraded to a kitchenette. A very nice, cozy stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Okay for a one night stay.

We stayed one night in this typical motel during our road trip to Alaska. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly. The room was okay for just one night (although a little pricey). We had some doubts about the cleanliness of the sheets and towels because they were beige (probably on purpose !). We weren't bothered by the noise despite the motel being right off the road. The coffee machine and fridge were very much appreciated.

Disgusting

This place was so smelly that we cancelled our booking after checking out the condition of the room.

Assigned parking outside your door. Small but clean. Perfect as an overnight stop while traveling.

Simple and cheap exactly what I needed. Only problem was the smell from the towels or bathroom after my shower that took over the room. Went away by morning

The motel was fairly priced for the accommodations. Although they don't have ac, everything was clean, tastefully decorated with super comfortable beds.

Motel appearance needs improvement

The outside flower and grass need improvement. I judge a hotel to a certain degree by first impressions. Muddy and sandy parking lots, weeds in gardens, cars that have windows down and a flat tire make me wish I had not made a reservation.

Florence Motel

The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice homey felling

Condition of room was less than expected, peeling flooring, no screens on windows. Wasp next under our door, management was notified and the wasp nest was not dealt with during our stay.

Make sure to check for clean towels etc before you try to take a shower. The towels we had in the room had blondish grey hair all over them. I was lucky enough my son was able to run to grab clean towels from house keeping.

Nice, clean, and simple

Fast, easy check-in, with wifi password. The room had everything I needed. It had solid, moppable-floors, so I felt the floors were CLEAN. The room had 3 chairs, for a room accomodating a maximum of 2 people, so that was more than adequate - and appreciated! Bed was very comfortable.

Pleasant stay

Clean room, very comfortable bed. Starting to show its age, but enjoyed our stay. Convenient to find and other than some noisy guests, very quiet.

Nice place to stop when traveling

The Hotel was fine and it worked well for my trip. I would stay there again when I am in Smithers.

Meh

It was ok. The room was pricier than I expected but the front desk gave a small refund. I'm happy they did. The room was freezing when I checked in and took forever to warm up and I had to leave the thermostat turned all the up. The floor stayed cold. The room was a good size and clean.

Stopped here while passing through town

This is an older property. It is clean and well kept but it needs updating to get a higher rating. Parking is tight and I could hear voices and the TV from the adjoining rooms. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. I had no problems but would look for something more modern next time I am traveling through Smithers.

Nice clean Place for a great price

Perfect place to Stay and it looks like our room had new flooring, nice tv, clean bathroom Will deffinately stay here again as the price was low

Room was cold and smelled of cigarettes. For a non-smoker this was difficult to bear. Room was very basic and bed comfort can be improved.

Quiet room even though the Highway is close

Check in lady was most helpful. I had made a mistake on my reservation. She was most patient with me and the issue was resolved and I was very happy!
