Our room was comfortable enough but very outdated.

It was clean and fairly quiet. Great restaurants close by within easy walking distance. Very close to the beach. Great staff and very friendly. Will stay there again

Had ants in our room

Played "Musical rooms" for about an hour, last room had inoperative dead bolt and smoke detector "chirping", management gave me a battery to install in detector.

Quiet and cozy

We had to switch to three different rooms the first room. It was like a leak in the bathroom floor had water all over it the second room the heater didn’t work. He stayed for two days because in the last one we had no hot water we had to go somewhere else. The staff is nice though.

This was our second time in Tower 2, first time on the 3rd floor, this time on the 5th floor. Amazing view both times, entrance to the dune is right there making it super easy to get on the beach. The indoor pool was clean, the property is older but very well maintained. The room was clean, beds this time were a little soft, but for the price it can't be beat. EVERYONE on staff was so very kind and attentive. If you're looking for a luxury stay this won't be it, but if you're looking for a clean, quiet, affordable place with a terrific view, this is it. We've never stayed in Tower 1 so I can't vouch for the view there but it didn't look as nice.

Great stay

We were really pleased with our stay. The motel is located close to the boardwalk and other activities. Room was really spacious and our ocean view was wonderful. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Could use some bathroom updates, but that wouldn’t stop us from booking again. Overall they do a job managing an older building.

Paid for a room with hardwood floor. Looked NOTHING like the pictures besides the bathroom. Got a stained carpet room covered in mold. The wallpaper corners are peeling off because it’s all mold behind it. Asked for a different room, they said no and said they will clean it the next day (we were the one night so that is not helpful). Even had dead bugs next to bed stand. Reached out to Expedia for assistance and even they couldn’t get through to the hotel to try to resolve this. Only good thing is it’s a great location. Our friends on lower level, had a remodeled room which still had mold on walls. Place should be shut down. I have PLENTY of pictures!!!!!!

It was so dirty. Felt uncomfortable. We asked for a cleaner room but nothing was done bc they said theyd have to call a manager ...?? I didnt mjnd but they did i guess.

Nice

Day one I came in and it was pretty gross. Beds were made but the whole place smelled like toilet water mixed with bleach. I sprayed some perfume and realized it may have been from the AC unit. I turned off the AC and also opened the door to air it out. Next few days were OK. Their was sand in my bed after it was cleaned and made day three. I also found a fingernail clipping in the sheets day one. Ice box was out of order, vending machine took my money, fridge inside the unit didn’t close all the way. You have to ask for a coffee machine. Toilet didn’t flush pee without clogging and having to flush twice. Keys didn’t work and I had to get multiple key replacements for the room which they said was “due to me putting it near my phone” which it was never once next to or near my phone. There was also a shoe insert left on my balcony which I just left there. The latch to the balcony was broken and so was the drawers which was fixed the third day. The drawer was still pretty uneasy but it was alright. The hangers were broken and they didn’t offer any new ones when I asked for them. The elevator was slow. The cleaning lady that was there day two cleaned my room very nice and each day I had there (as I requested because you have to request) I came back to a made bed in good clean condition. The vending machine guy gave me the two sodas for free because the machine took my money which was nice. The pool had a sand washing station after the beach which wasn’t cold. Won’t come back

This property was clean and safe

The out door pool bathroom was nasty Green mold and brown mold in toilet The carpet in room was nasty and feet stuck to it. The room smelled like mold.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and attractions. There is lots of food options near by. The outdoor pool was nice. Have not tried the indoor one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a little dated, some lamps were not working and there were no USB ports anywhere. The beds were hard.

This is one of the most affordable places to stay. It serves the purpose of having a room with an Ocean View. They have a pool, although not heated and actually really cold. But it is definitely a plus! They should try sweeping up around the pool more often, but that's not a big issue. I've been staying there now for 4 years in a row and will continue to go back.

The place is very poorly maintained, everything is falling apart towels and bedding are old and stained. For the price they charge for an ocean front room it should look a little nicer. When we checked in there was sand on the floor from the guest before us. I asked the next morning if someone could come up and clean the floor I was told that someone would be right up, we left for the day and when we came back the floor was still dirty. The location is great and the outdoor pool was nice.

We are very picky about where we lay our heads. Already booked a condo but decided to come a day early to watch the air show. Stayed one night here. Great room. Perfect ocean view. Bathroom outdated but very clean. Did not need to use the kitchen for meals but if we did it would be workable. Pool looked very clean. Room was spotless and smelled fresh. We would stay again.

Everything was ok. I liked i has my own balcony. Better than other places i’ve been. The couch had very visible stains on it and the blankets were notoriously the housekeepers didn’t change them. The fan had a bad smell like a dog,so bad(i recommend to check it) Regardless of all that said I’m not picky and the experience was a little better than the other ones. The parking we saw some reviews that said always was full but for us we always found many clear spots to park. I wasn’t aware of the $250 deposit for any damages but i understand it to cover any of the amenities given in the room as the iron,etc.(that is a plus) That’s all i have to say,i give this hotel 3.5 - 4 of 5 stars

is worth the money close to the beach just a room but there was no ice machine working in any building

Spet the last 2 days of a 5 day vacation here.Great view .Great price. 2 POOLS.one inside one outside and less than 3 min walk to the ocean 2 to the beach. Will stay again

Never again!

Horrible stay! Mold on our shower curtain, indoor pool/bathrooms FILTHY! Went without a toilet in our room for 2 of the days we were there! No pull out couch like we were supposed to have so 5 of us had to cram into 2 small beds because they said no other rooms were available! Staff never came in to clean room over our entire stay! Even when we asked! The girls at the front text in the morning hours were so rude! We asked multiple times about cleaning, told them about the pool area and how filthy it was, went to get coffee from the lobby in the am and one female was behind the desk with the door locked just looking at us and would not open the door (it was around 9-930am from what I recall) the gentleman in the evening were kind! They finally helped us get our toilet fixed so we didn’t have to keep leaving the hotel to use a restroom. Our tub also would not hold water when we pulled the drain up. We have younger children and we really needed a tub for them (one thing we look for when booking rooms) our sink kept clogging when we tried to wash bottles, our microwave was making noises like it was going to blow up…just overall it was awful! I have never been so disappointed! I will again say, the two gentlemen in the evening hours were very helpful! Great employees! They genuinely seemed to care and did the best they could to help at least get that toilet fixed for us. And we did find one housekeeper while we were there who provided us with a set of clean towels after 3 days

Iv stayed here many times and I feel that for a ocean view they still charge to much because my room the shower head kept flying off every time we would shower and the blow dryer was not attached to the wall right and would fall off every time tried to use I also had to get a broom and sweep my room because sand was all over our floor and it was supposed to have already been cleaned.

key mystery

On arrival, the front desk staff had a difficult time finding a key for my room. Unlike last year when there were "scan" cards to enter the rooms, this year we had real keys. When she couldn't find a key for the room, she simply wrote the room number on a scrap of paper and taped it to a key with a different number on it! Does that mean all rooms have the same keys???

I love it but the Housekeeping was the worst part of the whole area They didn't clean the rooms when you wasn't in there And was rude

Great stay, good location. This motel did not disappoint. Staff was great I would stay here again.

Flamingo Hotel is a nice, clean place. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We stayed in an ocean view room that had easy access to the beach. The only problem i had was that the bed was hard as a rock. It was not comfortable at all.

No complaints…… Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed anything. Check in was pleasant and the view from the room was excellent. Kids had a blast.

We had a great stay and staff were very friendly. This was our second stay here. Our view was great! Overall, the room was nice, but our room last year was much better and much more clean. Our room this stay had laminate floors which were covered in sand, as if they had not been swept at all before we arrived. We had no hot water in the shower, it was like warm at it's best performance, for the entire week. The toilet handle had to be pulled up to flush. We had one light that did not work at all and the switch for the lamps between the beds shocked you when you turned it on or off. We never used the pool, but it did look dirty most days. We didn't let any of this stop us from having a great week in Ocean City, but we most likely won't stay here next year.

The lighting was horrible. No light when you walk in all of the lights had to be plugged in( old wall lamps). Three of them and if you wanted to plug more then 1 cell phone you have to unplug the lamps. Bad draining in bathroom tub and sink. Pool was never clean. Sandy bottom and cloudy. Never seen anyone vacuum pool and our room was poolside. Had to go next door to other building for ice on third floor because ice machine was broke in our building. Not enough towels to go around and the place was not even filled. I heard the staff talking about borrowing some from the hotel across the street. The only good thing is it’s close to the beach and boardwalk. Oh the staff was nice and welcoming. I really don’t like leaving a bad review but to be honest I would not recommend this place .

I wanted so bad to write a decent review about this place but I can't.. Only thing I truly enjoyed was the ocean view and how easy of a walk to the beach it was and to local restaurants/attractions. I had a 5 hour drive and when I checked in I found my room had been given to someone else! I don't get to travel much so I really want to get what I pay for! I had booked a suite with a kitchenette and an ocean view! Somehow my room was given to another person by my name who pretty much had a basic economy room with two beds! I was tired and tried to remain calm and be cordial, they told me my suite would then be ready for my by tomorrow. I agreed to the room for the night but the following morning when I went down to the office staff I was told the people in my room did not want to leave the room!! Well of course they wouldn't ? They didn't pay for that type of room!! So let's screw the customer who actually did pay for a nice room! The supervisor on duty told me there was really nothing she could do about it she couldn't make any final approvals and I was pretty much stuck where I was.. You would think they would try and compensate the 32$ dollar difference a night but they wouldn't do that!! I asked for a late check out for the inconvenience and they wouldn't even do that!! So my only resort to feeling completely robbed is writing this review in hopes that it dosnt happen to anyone else! They just truly act like they don't care! So many tourists come and go it dosnt matter!

Poor Communication

Due to tropical storm issues, we checked out two days before scheduled departure, due to tropical storm issues.. Asked for a refund or credit. Was promised that the management would contact me. So far, no contact.

Great staff but the one building is in need of updating

It was good. Private access to beach and not super crowded. The staff were nice and friendly.

We usually stay at the Flamingo every year. Last year we were in an updated/ remodeled room. I guess i was expecting that again. The door lock needed a metal key, they gave us a key card. The air conditioning unit was coming out of the wall and you could see filth and daylight. Just not our typical experience. 😔

Motels are always hit or miss. Upon check in I was notified I was switched to a studio instead of suite which I originally booked. I was told nothing can be done. There was six of us trying to fit into a room that sleeps 4. We had to spend money at walmart for an air mattress, strike number 1. Our first day/night our AC kept glitching on and off. Finally around 1am we had enough and I went down to the front desk.. yall, the overnight kid was knocked out slouched behind the corner & didnt even hear me trying to wakw him for almost 2min. He only woke up because his phone rang. When he seen me, he starred at me blankly without even acknowledging me or apologizing for being sleep during my time of need.. he got so irritated about needing assistance with our AC due to maintenance not being on call over night. when i asked to be moved, he said he couldnt. when i demanded a manager, he said he has no one to call. he was insisting me and my young children sleep in a hotel room until help could come. UNACCEPTABLE!!! i made his behind get up & boy was he upset. needless to say our AC didnt get completely fixed to next day. the manager on duty that morning was a complete gem (give her a raise) she tried to accommodate us as best as she could with a new ac unit or another room with or originally booked suite if the AC needed alot of work. but housekeeping was great, the pools too. motel in walking distance of everything we needed. beach was right out back. 5/10. wouldnt stay again.

Very good for the price, will definitely be going back

Rooms were a little run down, carpet was full of sand. Refrigerator needed to lean forward so the carpet would keep it closed. Maid service only emptied garbage and cleaned toilet (no vacuuming or bed making or cleaning the rest of bathroom.

It’s ok

We really liked the beds, very comfortable, the walk to the beach was very convenient. The balcony was great as was the pool. The staff was very polite & professional. It was wonderful having a refrigerator, microwave & elevator. The only negative is the lack of hot water but if you’re not taking a shower when everyone else is there’s plenty. I would stay at the flamingo again

Please shampoo the floors

We've stayed here for years and in the same building. The only negative were the carpeted floors. Everytime you walked on them your feet turned black. They really need a shampoo. Otherwise beds and showers were great a/c worked just fine. This hotel is walking distance to several great local resturants, beach is 1/2 block east and boardwalk is only 3 blocks. No need to move your car.

My room was clean, i appreciated that mostly. Overall satisfied for the money. Motel needs some updating for sure but my room was clean and had ocean view. Bathroom was clean and smelled clean. Very basic but cool to stay if you arent that picky. I would stay again if needed. Staff was great!

The only thing I can say about the property is that the elevator is very dated it ran slow smelled like it was gonna catch on fire but other then that the beds were clean no bugs the room was very clean not a speck of dust all the way down to the filter in the AC!! 10/10 recommend close to the beach a little ways from the board walk but the tram car is 2mins down the road!! Def will be staying again!!

Good overall

Great location and view of the ocean. Nice pool. Good service at front desk. Room needed updating. Old carpet. Our room only had a key and one night it did not work. Most other rooms had key cards. Dirty bed linens and beds only have a sheet to cover up with.

I would definitely stay here again! I rented an Ocean View in Tower 1 with 2 queen beds. There was plenty of room for us to spread out our stuff. I LIKE hotel rooms with carpet, and it seems like we got one if the few carpeted rooms left, but it did make our feet dirty pretty quickly. The bathroom had plenty of space. The water did become lukewarm when many people started to head in from the beach and shower but that is quite common. Housekeeping checked in daily and supplied new towels, more toilet paper and emptied the trash as needed. We could always find a parking space in their lot, which I can't say for many other hotels I have stayed at over the years. There was the expected pool and housekeeping noise during the day but we only heard noise at night once. Overall, this is a budget beach property that exceeded my expectations for the price.

it' friendly folks willing to just chat and makes me feel welcome. It's also walking distance of my favorite breakfast place. It's within a block of the beach. The price was good my room gave me a view of the beach but we were still at least a block away. Parking is interesting but mangle

Concerning for the pricing.

Our over all stay was great aside from the hotel room. Dish’s where dirty floors where filthy, sliding door was broken bathtub had black hairs and a ring around it, and mold coffee in the pot. When complained to staff they didn’t understand our speaking and said they could not help. No one came to clean or change bedding. Next time we travel as a family to ocean city we will make sure to stay at a different location.

Very affordable, great location, quiet...even by the pool on the first floor! Friendly staff. Only negative was we sis not get call when room was available. But we were permitted to park early and use restroom.

Weekend family stay

The room was well-equipped and cleanly. Stayed with 3 kids (7,4 & 10mnths). We had enough room to set up a pack'n'play for the baby.They loved the pools. Front desk were very helpful, cleaning staff was also respectful.

The place has two stars, but the facilities are very poor. However, the beds are comfortable. The cleanliness is not so good, the bathroom smelled of dirt. At night, the place was quiet, but the noise of the air conditioning, did not let me sleep, the other day I was surprised with drops falling on my hand, had infiltration in the ceiling. It served me for one night, would not stay more days, would not stay again.

Terrible

It was not a good time - room was not as it is pictured on the site. Electrical outlets were old extension cords and we had to plug in lights. Air conditioner was not very good it took all night for it to cool off. Bathroom was old and towels were not clean and bed linens seemed old. The sliding glass door was stuck and when the front desk sent the maintaince guys we had to tell them how to fix it - WD40 on the track. We drove 5 hours to get there and got to motel shortly after 11am and asked if we could check in early - they said we will call you and told us to use bathroom in building next door where indoor pool was and the bathrooms were dirty and no toilet paper. It was disgusting. Check in was at 4 and they didn’t call us to check in until 3:50 and the message was too late since we just went to check in anyway. I did call your 800 number Friday night and spoke to a Jason to try and cancel my stay but when he tried to call the motel the front desk staff could not do it. I was very unhappy staying at that motel and wish I had been able to change hotels. I am very disappointed by your description of this site - this motel has not been renovated and there were also flies in the room the whole time we were there and mold as well and ceiling tiles in bathroom looked like they would fall down. To think I was charged 600 for 2 nights there makes me ill. I am very upset over it .

The staff was nice! The property is outdated! The wash clothes and towels were very dingy! Thank God I brought my own!

I chose this property for the convenience of the handicap beach wheelchair and price. Then upon staying here we found it amazing the view the staff the convenience and now the view! I recommend ocean view because it’s an actual ocean view! It’s one of the oldest buildings there and I expected issues. The only one that got on my naughty list was the door lock and keys magnet not working. I did have to get at least 8 new keys in six days.

Balcony above dripped below on ours, tried 6 different key cards before we found 1 that would continuously work on the first try. Location is great but hotel rooms needs some TLC

Overall good area away from the crowd

What I did not like was the floors were dirty and sandy. My boyfriend had to wash his feet off every time he got into bed! They would be so black his feet. Also, the maid would only ask us what we needed and never made the bed or empty the Trash cans in the room..

I booked a suite, the biggest room so I can get half the room and the other person the other half were the sofa bed was at and we open it and the bed sheets from the sofa were stained and dirty with something red . Disgusting I took photos and told the staff and instead of switching me to a new room they hand me bed sheets basically telling me to clean it up and set the new sheets up. I refused to have my friend sleep there also the sofa bed didn’t want to fold back up. It was stuck and nobody was able to close it and insert it back inside the sofa. So it was just left there taking up all the space I paid for and needed . So since half the bedroom wasn’t used I need half my money back. This has been the first time I slept uncomfortable. It was also extremely cold even when I turn off the air vent and we didn’t not have a cover blanket . I had to use the bed thin white sheet to cover up to survive the good night. Also the indoor pool has extremely too much chlorine. Do you walk inside the smell is so strong. It’s crazy . The flamingo motel needs to invent and get someone to clean the pool but the pool honestly is not clean at least twice a week. They just add and add Corinne and that’s it. It’s not good . Disappointed. I expect better

This property is the definition of, you get what you pay for. Our floors in the room were dirty! I mean, black from all the dirt. We never saw any cleaning people with mops or buckets or any mopping device. Everything else about the place was great! Location perfect , staff wonderful , pool nice and big , water pressure for shower great but the floors were nasty and we traveled with a baby who’s crawling so I had to clean the floors 5 times with soap. Other than that, it was nice but clean the floors upon entering! Or just take a white wash cloth to the floors and you’ll see what I mean.

Staff was amazing! Loved both the morning and evening staff. So friendly! The only down side out key kept on demagnetizing;-(. However, the staff, housekeeping, and all the amenities are awesome!

Expedia lied and said I would have a beach view. Instead they used a wrong picture and I had a behind a huge building parking lot view. With a beach front price. The floors were sandy and the door to the balcony was not seated properly. It was not what I thought I was paying a high price for. Then when I arrived they said Expedia didn’t even reserve my room in the first place. Last time I will use Expedia.

Mediocre at best.

The bathroom was very tiny, the water temperature was difficult to regulate for the shower, the beach view was not good, there was no beach just barely a view of the water between two buildings. The advertisement said beach view. There was construction going on in the room next to us, and one of the construction people walked into our room without knocking first, he did apologize, but it was a bit unnerving. It is highly unlikely that we will stay there again.

Everything about the stay and room was grate.

We stated two nights, our room was on the fifth floor and has a side view. The view was amazing we could see the ocean and the all Ocean City like on the palm. Room was very clean. And it was very quiet. Will go back again.

Lives up to its 2-star rating. We paid $586 for a 2-night stay during Memorial Day weekend—overall, the motel stay was NOT worth the money. Hotel Room: The floors were sticky and dirty when we checked in to the room. The bathroom was tiny, with the showerhead and faucets creaking during use. The showerhead was very small as well. Soundproofing was not great either, we could hear sirens and motorcycles all night long. The sofa was dirty and almost falling apart, we did not feel comfortable sitting on it without a blanket on top. The AC in the living space made the place reek of the smell of weed or something bad as soon as we turned it on—the smell subsided in a while. Pros: The patio was nice, with a partial side view of the ocean. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. Hallways/Elevators/Common Areas: The elevators were always wet and smelled like chlorine and cigarettes. Hallways smelled the same. But we were thankful for the elevators and consistent availability of parking spots.

My worst stay at OC! The facility is old and needs renovations. Strong mold smell in the rooms. I don’t recommend for family with small kids.
