Can’t wait to go back.
Liked the property. Door lock was a task to figure out, no food or drink available after a certain time cause front desk closes. However, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Clean facilities, good price. Shout out to the security Terry! He saved the day!
Great Location across the bay from Lucayan Market. (they have a ferry to shuttle across). Rooms are rather sparse (could use a towel bar in bathroom and a desk lamp) Great staff throughout the properties. Really liked the pool and the occasional shuttle to the grocery store.
Great staff
Enjoyable place to stay
Extremely outdated, beds are atrocious some of the staff just don't care and some do. If you come by boat and rent a slip it's nice but by land is nit worth the money. I understand Hurricanes have come through but at least try to rebuild what you have to make it a worthy experience. Place has much potential but needs better management and grounds keepers.
It's near a nice beach
Our stay was great.
The location was excellent, including a free ferry into Lucaya Marketplace. The hotel was associated with Taino Beach Club that included use of it's huge pool and beach within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were a bit old, but the bed was comfortable.
The Marina view was awesome. The staff were nice
Everything
Good
Thumbs up
Great staff , friendly and would highly recommend ..
The ppol and pool bar was awesome, staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were subpar, old and musty, hard mattresses and in dire need of an upgrade.
Was nice enough
Time well spent
The stay was wonderful, beautiful scenery, overall a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
Loved the pool features 👌
It was alright
Simple room, Great pool, close to the beach, friendly staff. Washer/dryer available. Beautiful place.
Location
My whole entire stay was wonderful, the pool and beach areas is beautiful and relaxing, my room was very clean, the front desk workers were very nice and helpful, the ferry to lucaya market is also wonderful for views… the only thing i disliked was that my room was on the third floor and there is no elevator.
Good
The hotel staff including Terrance (dock master) and the bartenders at the Grotto bar were very friendly and very helpful. The water taxi makes visiting nearby restaurants very convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Staff is amazing, polite and professional. If there are any questions or problems they will go out of thier way to accommodate you
Very friendly and welcoming staff
Fantastic hotel highly recommend the hotel even had a free Taxi the main area and back brilliant trip
No wifi in the rooms only in lobby rude worker's one of the workers was racist bathroom had no shower curtain bathroom door was broken and moldy power was off .I told this to front desk and all they did was say sorry I wanted at least some kind of reimbursement for all the inconveniences and they said they couldn't do that
Nice
All about location and access to amenities
Cannot beat the location and the full access to resort/beach across the street. Transportation to Port Lucaya by way of water taxi/ferry is great! Room is very basic. Must request hair dryer, iron and more towels. For the price a good place to stay.
Beach is just a short walk across the street.
The property is ok, the property that you get access to across the street is pretty amazing. The beach is one of the best on the island. Big mama is a trip.
The property is grossly out dated and needs renovations
WiFi availability is limited, depending where your room is located.
The staff was amazing the ladies at the checkin the grounds men and the house keeping staff were all helpful and friendly my go to everytime im in freeport my son loves the pool across the street so its always a great time
The staff are very friendly and professional. Its a beautiful place to relax and enjoy.
A good budget hotel with great amenities. Very nice pool, lovely beach, and quick boat ride to a nice shopping and dining area included in the stay
Thumbs up
The property which is like a US motel was adequate, safety was good. The hotel is attached to a sister property Taino Beach Resort which is timeshare affiliated. The restaurant, pool, spa services, recreation and beach are across the easy to cross road. The room had a bonus area with an equipped kitchenette, which was useful for fridge, morning tea, and warming any leftovers. The back side of the property had a view of Marina. The staff at front desk, security, property maintenance, restaurant was all pleasant and helpful. Ferry from rear of the Flamingo into Port Lucaya at a collection of local shops, restaurants and bars is a quick 7-minute ride.
I love this place . The best in the Island
Adequate
I loved it here and will be returning in April! Big mama and the staff were all amazing
None of the bedrooms come with a Wi-Fi connection. We were told that for wifi guests have to come to the lobby or the common areas. Also, you have to request an iron at the front desk.
Quick get away!
The stay was great, spent time with family and friends. Enjoyed the free ferry service to Port Lacaya. Food was excellent, staff was kind. Pool area clean, beautiful beach access. Water pressure in room could have been better.
My experience was horrible. When we arrived the pool was down & I didn’t get any heads up notifications or anything they just mentioned it casually at the check in. When we arrived to the room, They gave us the wrong key.. the Room was dirty .. the shower/tub had Pubic hair still there like it wasn’t clean, everything just looked old and broke down from the room to the whole hotel. The phone in the room didn’t work I had to keep going to the front desk and asking.. after I adviced the young lady about the phone not working she got annoyed, overall 1/5 because you don’t have to make nothing hard. The food is expensive at the hotel’s restaurant they’re van service doesn’t run after 10pm when they take you to the market place & The staff overall have bad attitude.. if you settle for something cheap this is definitely the place for you
Need a lot of repairs and updating
The hotel is very outdated and needs repairs. The bathroom fixtures needs replacing, the mattress was hard, the TV needed to be on a higher stand.
Nice setting and area Some internal items need upgrading but in general comfortable to
Staff and Property was great..
Nice people, overpriced for what it offers.
Proper was run down, not sure how it has the rating it does.
Please update your furniture, paint, ceiling fans, lights, bathrooms, kitchenette, etc. If you just want a place to sleep this is it but it’s definitely not worth 99$ a night….
Very reasonable and clean with great location
Hotel was in a good location for a kids trip 2 water parks in the area, restaurants for lunch and beaches.
Once was enough
I don’t mind staying in a cheap hotel to save money when traveling solo. I won’t be staying here again. I’m giving 5 stars to the friendly staff, and 1 star to the property. It is ghetto. TV didn’t work, layout of plugs in the room is dumb and challenging, the sheet setup on the bed is the worst I’ve ever seen… and I’ve traveled all thru Africa and SE Asia. You’d expect everything to be old and run down, and it is. No WiFi. I could see no amenities at all outside of a dock to take you someplace less dreary and isolated. So ya… I’ll be taking a pass on staying here again as I do go thru FPO a few times a year.
Hotel smelled moldy, they need to do some serious upgrades around that place. We had to switch out the first room to a next room because it reeked of the mold scent
They are trying to recover from horrible storms. Great people. Some rooms have been remodeled, but some are very old. Our housekeeping person took towels, but never left any. One day, we never got any until bedtime. Lucky to have a beach towel. Not all rooms had dishes.
The hotel is obviously still recovering but it is clean and the staff are trying very hard to make sure the visitors have what they need. As always the lazy river and grotto bar was a hit. Please support this hotel as it really is a great place to visit and very close to Lucaya and some very beautiful beaches.
Great place to stay in Lucaya on a budget. Also, they have an affordable marina. So just cruise on over from South Florida. Clean, friendly, and close to Lucaya shopping, as long as the shuttle ferry is running.
Did not meet even our moderate expectations. Gave us a “renovated” room that wasn’t finished! No mirror, no towel racks, no TP holder, bare walls, etc. Had to insist three times we needed new room. Then got talked into a vacation ownership sales pitch that didn’t deliver on the promised gift of a snorkel trip because none were even scheduled all weekend. The whole facility is in need of some serious maintenance. The staff confuses friendliness with competence in hospitality.
Room was clean and KoOL…HaVe to call before noon to request towels and back burner was out other than that goOD stay…
Basic hotel
The hotel was basic. No internet in the room which is just disappointing. I had to switch rooms twice due to not so clean room and musty smell. Also the airconditioning was super loud in all rooms I switched to so it made sleep difficult and uncomfortable. Overall an outdated hotel that needs a modern upgrade.
The pool area with the bar in the cave is great. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Nice place to come and enjoy Freeport and the stress free Island Life
All about location and access!
Cannot beat the location - short walk to beach, access to fantastic lazy river pool with a slide across the street (Taino Beach Resort) , water ferry to restaurant and bar area (Port Lucaya) and have the best bartenders at the Gratto bar in the center of the the pool mentioned above. Check in and out was smooth and overall staff is friendly. The room itself was basic however quite adequate as truly you are not in your room much! My room was facing the marina and had a great view.
Great services
Very easy check in! The staff were very friendly and helpful
Beach was great. Access to Taino Beach Resort pool was great.
I’m glad all we did was shower and sleep in room because if we had to stay in it any longer, I doubt I could take it. There is no WiFi in the rooms, the kitchenette is ok but the microwave was so rusty - I was nervous it would blow up in flames if I used. The room itself was dirty and I’m so grateful I had disinfectant wipes. The curtain was torn and the mattress sunk in in the middle. The rooms are pretty run down. The staff are sweet and try to help. You get charged for literally everything!!!!! But that’s everywhere on the island.
We love this resort and how quiet and relaxing it is. True island resort close to beach and marina behind. Staff treats you like family so accommodating and nice!! We will be back it was wonderful.
the over all property is very clean all staff is very friendly the restaurant on the property sucks it take an hour to get a burger and fries don't expect to get wifi in your room you have to go downstairs by the office to get wifi i been going there for 6 years i want be staying there anymore because of the wifi
7/10
Room was a bit dated but clean and quite. Great location for the beach. Menu at beach restaurant is limited and scavenging pidgeons were a pain. Supermarket is 20min walk.
Old and needs updating. No coffee in room but it was brought upon request
When I arrived to my room, there were no towels available. I called the front desk to ask for towels and was told to come get them. The rooms could use renovations from the floor to ceiling.
Room were smoked tv doses worked no Internet in the room I checked out didn’t stay
A haven from city life. Dining on the ocean front at the beach was great! The water taxi was a short ride to restaurants and shopping @ Lacaya. The onsite restaurant food was very good. However, internet was only available in designated places… not including the room. available While some amenities were not available at the Flamingo, access to more amenities were a short walk across the street. I would return.
An ok stay if your are not fussy
Good location if you rent a vehicle, but secluded and costly if you dont. Beach was good. Pool water was dirty, but the Grotto bar was fine. Our tv, phone didnt work and was never fixed. Different people at the front desk all the time, so our concerns were always dismissed
👍
Its guiet an i was able to rest
Occasional staff politeness.
The staff was very friendly and it was a place where you can enjoy a good time.. the beach is wonderful...
The lady at check in was super nice check was smooth, the roms on the other hand wasnt, run down and old not worth the money door couldn't lock properly
The staff treat you like family, they are wonderful and I would never stay any where else!
The Front Desk Agents and Manager Goodman was not helpful at all. To aggressive! The short security guard tried to use intimidation. Why? I extended my stay with Arneigh the FDA. apparently shes new and didnt give me or my son the correct info. As a result of that and no communication with her peers or notes added to my portfolio, the new FDA sends security to my room cause the room phones dont work. Im cooperating and even stopped him from being aggressive towards me. Went downstairs to pay the additional night , now the rate has changed and no one knew i extended my stay with Arneigh B. Requesting the manager im referred to a Vanessa Neely. The agent calls Arneigh and she confirms my extension but not putting it in the notes of my portfolio. Or changing my reservation. Another guests out of goodwill pays for my additional night. Everyone was surprised. As i thank him. Another alleged Manager was on the phone speaking/listening to the agent about my querry. The guest stayed to settle their bill and i mistakenly walked off without a receipt. The FDA, another woman in grey was sitting behind the desk to the side, the rude short security, the guest who paid for my room in full and I was in the lobby and heard the agreement on my room payment. So why 1 hour later the rude short security guard comes banging on my door with a next story saying my room aint paid for. Waittttt when that happened? Because i didnt get a receipt ! Who thiefing? Why inconveince me after
Very dated and run down. Mens underwear found in closet
I loved how quiet and charming the property is. I enjoyed interacting with the staff as they were incredibly sweet and friendly, especially the front desk and Big Mama. It was my first time to Freeport and I loved everything about it: the food, the people, the beach, the vibes etc. I'm already thinking of my next trip.
Staff were kind and helpful. Accommo
The wifi came in at a certain time and cuts out maybe 30 minutes later.
Pleasing and inexpensive way to spend a quick trip to Grand Bahama.
The parking lot
Good for the price
The hotel shares a pool with the resort next door, which is kind of misleading. The pool was beautiful though. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. There is no Wi-Fi in the room though and the only restaurant is also on the other property. The staff was more friendly this time. Rooms aren’t very soundproof and could hear the neighbors tv. All in all the stay was good.
Ok rooms for the price
The rooms were not new but not bad. The shower was difficult to turn on and there was no wifi. I guess in the lobby they had it. The receptionist came to my room as I was almost packed and knocked on the door saying "did you know check out was at 10:00 am? I said "no I thought it was at 11:00" she said in a condoning tone " well it's 10 after 11:00" and spun around and left. She wasn't friendly when I checked out either.
Really enjoyed our stay at Flamingo Bay. The place is definitely great if you have a boat. William and Big Mama are excellent host.
The rooms were very clean. Nothing fancy but had everything you need. Fridge, microwave , kitchen utensils and if you needed anything the staff went out of their way to get it for you. Very close to resort pool and beach. Staff was very friendly.
The Wi-Fi was not that great I
Room was worst than a Motel 6. The bed was very uncomfortable with sheet on top as a comforter and blanket as the top sheet. Cigarette holes in the blanket. Bathroom shower would hardly turn on. Floors were dirty. Needed to wash your feet off before getting in bed. No closet, wardrobe doors were barely holding on. Would not recommend and will never stay there again.
Decent - wouldn't return here.
The challenge was that I didn't check in until after 10pm and took an additional 30 minutes to find where to go, get the key and get settled.
I stayed at this hotel before (pre Dorian) so I know the potential. Keeping the destruction of Dorian it may b unfair to give harsh criticism. Was a bit disappointed that the phone was not working and ac in the room was not working properly. Additionally there was an ironing board but no iron and the front desk closes at a certain point until noon the following day, wish I was made aware of this. My stay was just for the night so I was ok.
If quite is what you are looking for this is the place to stay at. Clean rooms and the staff is amazing! Make sure to say Hi to Big Mama while you are there!
It was ok
It was ok didn’t spend a lot of time by the room but it was ok

Very convenient for my stay.
