I was very happy with my stay

Very good for an overnight stay

Ok for overnight passing through.

Honestly it was ok to stay here overnight for a Business trip. I would not stay here for an extended period of time. The rooms look like they could do with an update. Top of the cornice in the shower was mouldy. Looked like it had a water leak at some stage. Conveniently located on the major road through made it easy to find.

Stayed 2x Saturday nights 1 night $20 dearer .Overall was very clean minimal cutlery , beds comfortable

The staff were really lovely and helpful. The room was quite large and roomy. It was close to the shopping centre.

Great place to stay

The power went out at midnight , then no hot water which was even worse

The room was spacious and comfortable bed, the shower was big with plenty of hot water and good pressure

Too noisy, the whole set up of unit was wrong , to boil water you had to use bedside table PowerPoint

Great communication with management especially with late check in. Hot water and firm pillows

Clean and comfortable

Usually stay at a different motel in Rockhampton, but thought I'd give this place one a go. Located in middle of Rocky so it's close to everything. Nice quick check in. Gated secure parking with plenty of undercover spots. Room condition is above average, very spacious and looked generally clean. Only issue was that the bathroom stunk terribly, thought the exhaust fan would help, but only made it worse.

We stayed in the new room and it was amazing. Beds comfy and great pillows. Would stay again when driving through

Location good being just off the highway and close to access most things however still lots of traffic noise. Rooms need upgrading/renovating. Staff were good and polite.

This is the best motel for the price I've EVER stayed at.. the manager to the cleaning staff are amazing. Room was spotless and I cannot give enough stars... I'll definitely only ever stay here if and when in Rocky again...

I think the photos are very unrepresentative of how the rooms really looks as our room was quite old. For a one night stop it was fine but they need to update the photos to better represent what it really looks like

We didnt like the beds. Very uncomfortable has sore back. It was just an average motel nothing fancy abd we booked last minute

Leaking shower head which kept us up, had to put a towel in the shower to reduce noise, dirty cups.I had to wash to make a coffee, fridge was not plugged in and we had food in it for hours before realising so had to throw out, sheets didnt fit on the bed.. Checkin finishes at 7pm not 8pm as stated in Booking.. Would not recommend and will be asking for a refund!!

Claims to be quiet but was traffic noise all night. Secure parking compound but outer glass door to property was accessible from street and had clearly been broken and not clear how safe the lock was

Stayed there for 2 nights mold in bathroom, booked room with a spa and spa bath didn’t even work

Shabby. Huge bolt holes in walls. Weirdest floor treatment I’ve seen-kind of like a bowling ball… where furniture has been moved paint is different colour and then a dead mouse floating around pool….difficult when he hit to the filter….

I was threatened with violence by the Indian manager and he’s fist raised after I questioned why my booking was canceled after I arrived at 5 pm even after I booked stating I was paying on arrival and I said I was on a plane and that’s why I did not answer a call and also that it has a check in available up to 10 pm at night I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

I found the dirty soiled bandages in the shower and also under the bed to be a higlight of my stay, it far surpassed the disgusting,tired,sagging mattress. Having never turned the tv on I contented myself with watching the shelf it sat on, sink faster than the Rockhampton sun. I rang to leave a complaint but it was never replied to. Truly hideous experience. I suggest the local park under newspapers would pe preferable

Room felt abit old. Needs a makeover

Very clean, but when you stay 3 days you could expect a change of towels etc. If you are looking for a place to sleep, the bed was excellent, the location is very good but it is a bit tired overall, but was full every night

Very quiet, comfortable bed. Room was adequate but the spa tub did not work (staff had no idea about the tub) and obviously wasn't wired in any more. Needed a thorough clean in all the small places to remove black mould

The room was a nice size.

The fridge was noisy so turned it off in the night, the room needs some upgrading and if you have a room on the roadside the traffic is noisy. The room was consistent with previous reviews,

Great place for a comfortable stay

This motel had everything that we wanted. It was also very well situated, being close to all shops etc. The main reason for our stay was to attend eye surgery at the Hillcrest Hospital. The Fitzroy Motel was ideally for this purpose. The staff were very helpful with directions etc.

Only issue is they advertised a restaurant but it was closed

The Photos make this place look far nicer then it really is, extremely dated and worn out by which I mean chunks of furniture missing. thick layers of dust all around the room, under the bed looked like it had not been cleaned in 6 months or more, there was even dust in the tea tray. BLACK MOLD in bathroom! finger prints all over the spoons.

Location suit us.

The price is great. In Rockhampton there are some really beautiful hotels right on the river. This is one is about a 1 k away but much cheaper. It’s a lovely but not fancy room. It’s older. They don’t clean each day. The tea bags aren’t wrapped. People smoke outside their rooms so if you are asthmatic it could be an issue. You do get to park outside of your room. Our mattress was sunken in the middle but still comfy. Free good internet! Fantastic service!

It was excellent place to go if your travelling in Rockhampton

Friendly, economical option for a quick trip to Rocky. Beds are a bit rough but otherwise no complaints for a budget stay.

Best motel I have found in Rocky for the price. I have stayed there half a dozen times now and I always have a good nights sleep

Look, this place isn’t great. I’ve stayed in some questionable places before, but this one tops it for dodgy.

The place is really clean, service was great, pub food was awesome and delivered to you’re door if needed. Good supplies in the room. Really for the price I have zero faults

The motel is a bit out dated it was clean and had what is required but not of a high standard mostly as it looks a bit tired.

Was on the road for 14hrs to arrive and them tell us they have given our room away

All good....only issue was that the Hotel.com information on the motel stated that there was a restaurant upstairs (major reason for booking this motel), which had received good reviews in the past, however the restaurant is no longer located above the motel. Apparently the restaurant has been so good that it has now moved to a prime location on the riverside.

Rooms and hotel are NOTHING like images. Room are very poor kept

The room was a little outdated which was expensive based on the cheap price. I found a syringe taped to the underside of the table which was a little unexpected.

The motel is close to the main road and also within walking distance of fast food and other restaurants. Staff are friendly

Location excellent and just off the Bruce Highway. Walking distance to shops, McDonalds (landmark only) and secure off street parking.

The bed was very good , but the spa bath didn’t work and the room was very loud due to being on a main road

The bed linen looked old and cushions needed to be thrown out, the milk from the fridge had not been changed from the previous travelers. TV had no way of turning it on-missing controller. If you are on a budget than this may suit you. Otherwise the competition is about 2 steps above them.

Suitable for short overnight stays driving through. Not on the main highway, but ask for an off street room for an extra quiet sleep.

The motel is in need of a freshen up but for a short overnight stay it was adequate for the price. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet enough with the drone of the window air conditioner blocking all other noise.
