Gem Fitzrovia Hotel stay
The hotel was really clean and really quiet, I would recommend this hotel. The location is also great.
Needed a room at short notice and this did the trick. No complaints. We had to leave just before 7am so unfortunately didn’t benefit from the breakfast
Comfotable affordable room with friendly staff
Lovely staff, good breakfast, walkable location - close to Euston, Regent's Park, Warren Street tube stations. Superior double room was spacious and comfortable, very quiet, good shower and bath. Room was quite warm but the windows could be opened. Mixer tap could be a bit temperamental, making it difficult to get cold water at times.
Literally 5 mi walk from Great Portland st tube, and 10 mins from Oxford Circus, really good location, plenty food putlets if you dont want to eat in hotel. Comfortable beds, well stocked bathroom, really good location for London sights.
Location, cleanliness, service all very good
Lovely hotel, great location, slept very well
Location, room, and staff were all great!
Great hotel , a little tired in places but beautifully clean with great service and idealky situated for all fitzrovia has to offer
Bed bugs / flees?
Got bitten in the legs by flees or bed bugs. Everything else was fine.
Great place
The room and hotel were beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfast. It was easy to get where we needed from the hotel. My only concern was a little mold growing on the bathroom window
Fantastic Hotel In The Heart Of London
Me and my partner has been to London many times and in doing so we have stayed in some terrible hotels which on the surface are sold to look clean and confortable. Afrer much searching, we're so happy to have found this amazing hotel. Not only is it in a convenient location but its really clean and the staff go above and beyond. We stayed for our anniversary which I included in the notes when booking. If im honest, I never expect anything but on arrival they bought us cake and had made our room look amazing with swan towels and roses. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough,l!
Is was not initially given the room I paid for (exec twin bed) and was initially told that I would have to pay for an amenity (breakfast) which was included when I booked. I had to go back to the front desk to have this rectified. Other than this issue, the stay was fine
Well placed friendly hotel
We have stayed before and decided to return. It was a good stay, room very comfortable and clean, and location very convenient. The staff are welcoming and the breakfast was very good too.
Wonderful, attentive staff. Great location near many quality restaurants, and near the tube as well.
Convenient for Harley Street
Visit to London's medical streets for medical appointments
The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. We had one issue with the air conditioning unit in our room being clogged with dust. We reported it the next morning and were moved to another room.
The room was lovely and clean, nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the bed was so firm. We have a firm bed at home but this was like trying to sleep on a slab.
Comfortable and quiet. A gem!
Lovely hotel and very comfortable
Friendly staff and a great breakfast Easy walk to Oxford Street Rooms were clean with a kettle and coffee/ making facilities
Nice hotel for the price
Lovely staff, good location, great breakfast, good stay
Great location, very clean and staff very helpful.
Great one night stay
Room and bathroom was new refurbished, super clean. Nice quiet location, close to everything but far away enough we had a great nights sleep.
Well kept rooms, restaurant and reception. Excellent friendly and professional staff.
Great location and nice rooms Breakfast was excellent and staff very attentive
Liked: Great location, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful building, spacious room. Could be better: Breakfast on the second day was chaotic, probably needed more staff and there was less choice. However, the day before it was great.
Decent property, great location. Staff at the restaurant were very kind and accommodating. Noisy as it’s an old building, had a family stay in the rooms nearby and we could hear knocking and walking around frequently. Great location and free breakfast so it was a good experience.
Small beds , no place to keep your baggage
Tired
Chose the hotel because of it’s location and price due to an offer. Felt the hotel was a little tired and our room was on the lower ground floor which interestingly meant we heard the tube going by.
Great location, just off the busy streets. Reception and service friendly and helpful - Lovely hotel, clean spacious room although surprised no complementary bottle(s) of water ? Breakfast was excellent with more than enough choice. Overall a comfortable pleasant stay and would certainly stay again and recommend.
The staff were kind and helpful
Perfect location and great amenities! Right by the tube stop and many restaurants around.
Really nice stay at this hotel, perfect location for Oxford Street shopping / Christmas lights, theatre and restaurants.
Gem in the Rough
Really nice quaint hotel. Very clean, and while it has a classic look overall, is fairly modern and fresh. Stayed there twice now for business and both times were great. Very quiet hotel and really get some great sleep.
Nice enough
The views from our windows were awful. Reception were lovely and polite. Breakfast could have been better.
3rd stay here. Excellent hotel. Will be back.
1 night stay
A little bit out of the way but easy access to the underground station at Great Portland Street. Very good selection of breakfast items
Very comfortable, clean, and extremely well located. I'd definitely stay here again. The only non positive issues were that the bathroom had a weird smell coming in from the pipes (nothing unbearable) and that I would have loved to get some help carrying my luggage up the main entrance's stairs.
Left the place as soon as I checked in.
Great Stay, Great Location
Had a really lovely stay, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was any bother. Breakfast choices were good. Location was great for access to Oxford Street and Soho areas. Would stay again.
All round good pleasant staff & facilities close to shops & underground 🤔
Room was so small that I have never seen a smaller hotel room ever.
Clean comfortable nice. Friendly personnell. Very good location.
Lovely, quirky hotel.
Lovely boutique hotel in a great location for restaurants and access to central London. Lovely breakfast in a clean and relaxed dining area with very staff attentive. Lovely clean room with spacious bathroom.
Delightful Stay in Great Location
Hotel is very nice, and in a very good location. There was confusion about money off voucher at bar and inclusion of breakfast in booking, but resolved quickly and staff very apologetic. Menu on hotel website, accessed via qr code link in info folder in room was out of date. Dishes and prices had changed.
Disappointed that bar shut at around 12, whilst it should have been 24 hours! Also just one person covering the whole hotel overnight is not ideal, so no bar open no room service! Appreciate that sickness etc can happen however should be some contingency there! But otherwise a pleasant stay and good location. I stayed on the 26th of October 2024 - The employee who worked overnight that day deserves a medal and could you please apologise to him as took out my frustration on him for bar not being open, if that issue can be resolved will stay again, many thanks Stuart
Ideal for London break
Lovely classic decor, tasty breakfast, all staff were very pleasant as well as efficient. Hotel is within easy access to underground. Will come again
Bed size was small and so, it was a bit uncomfortable in sleeping.
Nice hotel at convenient location
Nice hotel within walking distance from many places. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good.
A True Gem
Loved the Gem Fitzrovia! The staff was courteous and very helpful, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the hotel was very quiet. I didn't even know there were other people staying there. The room was always clean, the beds comfortable, and it was convenient to the tube. Everything felt very luxurious: from the carpets to the front doors to the elevator, to the attentive staff. Can't wait to go back!
Loved it
Loved it!
Not good
Room was very cold, heating is not on. Horrible. Reseption is very unfrendly. They have only one job, take Care of clients and they don’t do that. So waist of money. Guys in a lobby was very friendly.
Hotel was in a good location, breakfast was good and room quiet.
Very good location, large room, high level of cleanliness
Good location
The front desk people are remarkably efficient and helpful
First Class Service as Always
Amazing service from start to finish.
I mentioned NO grab bars in the tub area. They said none of their hotels have those. Upon leaving I was told I show of booked an accessible room. Too late as I told the desk clerk my 1st night. Staff in restaurant very attentive. I wouldnt stay there again. Lobby area furniture is VERY worn. Needs updating.
Good Breakfast
What a pleasure. The staff could not be friendler. Kind, attentive, and knowledgable
This is one property that I can't fault. The area location to bus, transit, walking is just perfect. The staff are great super helpful and kind always ready to help in anyway. The room was larger than we anticipated and the bed was not too soft, where you sink into the abyss. The breakfast was brilliant and the servers there making sure we are taken care of were fantastic! Would love to return here next time we come back to London!
Amazing location and walkability/convenience. The room was very nice and bigger than we anticipated which was great. However I put average for facilities because the mattress was hard and was bad for my back. The hotel itself is in very good shape so I would have said excellent but the mattress was poor.
Great hotel in central London. Would stay again
Great neighborhood.
Fitzrovia stay
Overall a good overnight stay for us. A traditional hotel which is well kept, clean and tidy. The comfortable, spacious bed and nicely appointed bathroom were much appreciated. Buffet Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice in a fine dining room with friendly attentive staff. Many thanks
Nice hotel in a nice quiet area, close to tube staion and access around from here
Handy for many things including restaurants, walkable Nice room especially a lone traveler
The staff are so nice , and offer any help. lovely breakfast. The beds are very firm. Lovely toiletries supplied. Plenty of choice of teas and coffee in the room , small rooms but so classic and beautiful. The TV in the room is small
Hotel itself was great, only issue was didn't get much sleep as the could hear the underground (was in lower ground floor room) and the wind rattled the window in the frame. Unfortunate weather!
We stayed for a nights accommodation at Gem Fitzrovia and enjoyed some drinks in Marylebone High Street, then strolled into Soho, had some great food and drinks. The hotel was clean, quiet and walking distance for central London. The full English breakfast was great and staff courteous. We would stay again, many thanks
The location was safe and quiet. The bed is firm, the room also had ac which was a nice surprise. The staff was either super friendly and helpful or you had other staff memebers who were condescending and rude. So that was the only piece that was not a five out of five.
Traditional rooms, but were clean and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location - quiet, 10 minute walk to Soho, loads of cool cafes and businesses on nearby Charlotte Street, hotel really close to Great Portland Street and Regents Park tube stations.
It was a business trip and the Wi-Fi both in lobby and in the room are so bad couldn’t even take a video call very disappointing. Room are small and old interior for the same price we can get a better property and better facilities.
Staff were confused, couldn’t find the proper booking. Saying they’re fully booked when the hotel clearly was not. I usually enjoy staying there. But this time no.
NA
I would definitely stay here again. Small boutique hotel, very clean, quiet area, but still walking distance to shopping and restaurants. My executive twin room was a decent size for a London hotel, which I shared with a friend. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were extremely helpful, and the restaurant itself was very clean and tastefully done.
Close to tube station. A quiet hotel. Very helpful and polite staff. Excellent cleanliness. Breakfast and food in the bar was very good.
Lovely big room. Old hotel but nice. Convenient location Breakfast was good.
We stayed here for a second time as I had day delivery in Harley street. I foegot to book breakfast this time and the hotel tried to charge two of us FIFTY pounds. That was such a disappointment and total greed. It really put us off
The room was quiet and clean but very small. One elevator wasn’t working but I would return there for sure.
Lovely hotel with very nice spacious rooms
Lovely charming hotel
A lovely hotel with luxury features in the lobby area, lots of wood and chesterfields to sit on, going back to a very luxurious era. The room was comfortable and bathroom spotlessly clean. Double bed felt a little small for 2 people so not the greatest sleep. Room was well air conditioned. One small thing, but there were no bedside lamps or light for reading in bed, so had to have the overhead spot lights on for this which wasn't relaxing. Could do with some kind of soft lighting for this purpose. Otherwise lovely hotel with very welcoming front desk staff and would stay again, maybe booking a room with a king bed instead.
The property was great. Room was excellent size, beds were comfortable. Like a 2 block walk to the underground station. Area was nice, safe and quiet. Went to several restaurants in the area and all were amazing. Close to other amenities as well like a quick shop to get other essentials if needed. We wanted to be near but not IN the hype of some other areas. It was a beautiful and a great value for its location.
It was near where I needed to be to support a friend for her surgery. It was clean quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good and staff efficient.
Friendly and helpful staff
A unique hotel, with modern decor in an old building.
Just what we needed for our trip to see Springsteen, convenient for transport. Small, comfortable, spotless room, great shower and helpful staff.
Comfortable room in lovely quiet street. Did not use bar or restaurant so cannot comment on that.
Worth every penny
We arrived late and were checked in and welcomed and food (outside service) delivered safely and securely by the staff. Beautiful room and toiletries. Lovely ambience with the lounge sofas and decor.
I absolutely love the location of this hotel. Walkable to most attractions. Nandos and many other restaurants are near by. The Great Portland train station is a few steps away. The only downside is the tiny rooms and extra right bathrooms. It’s a great choice for short stays. I’ll stay here again and again. The staff are fantastic!
I had a very pleasant stay at the Fitzrovia Hotel for a week of vacation. My room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. The location is very favorable for day trips around the city on the underground. The staff were all friendly and helpful in my experience. For me including the continental breakfast was worthwhile, too.
Very good hotel location great for shopping
What a gem!!
Amazing first class service Thankyou
Great hotel, great location, and friendly/helpful staff
Lovely stay
Great hotel and if I'm back in London again I'd stay here easily. Not much more than a 5 min walk from the underground at warren street and from there well London is at your calling. Not that we needed much help or assistance but on the odd occasion we did the staff were very helpful and friendly. I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the years some good and some shall we not much more than a bed for the night but the Fitzrovia Hotel falling into the top tier bracket easily.
Great central location, friendly service
Great location, safe and handy for Marylebone high street and Oxford St. Room well appointed, staff friendly and helpful. Easy walk from Warren Street tube station. Bedroom in lower ground but peaceful.
