Great location for being able to easily walk to Central Park and also the theater district. One thing I don’t like was being charged $25 a day “Spa fee” and not using the work out room. This seems to be a common practice for a lot of hotels.
Great service and excellent location
This was a nice hotel to stay in during Christmas week in Midtown in NYC. The location was good, just a few blocks to Central Park and 5th Avenue shopping. We loved our suite which was large and classic in this historical property. The restaurant was very quiet.
Great stay. Clean comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Only negative, toilet so low you can barely get up from it. Definitely need to replace it.
Very spacious room
The showers had hair in it but overall we enjoyed our stay
Would stay again!
Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Quick walk to Central Park and amazing shopping, quiet for restful sleep, comfortable bedding, in-room coffee, clean and well maintained, great bar, great restaurant, friendly staff.
Charming hotel in midtown
My room was pleasant with everything I needed; toiletries, soft bed, room darkening curtains, full water pressure for a good shower. I did not hear any neighbors or hall noise. There is a lovely small bar/restaurant where I had an excellent breakfast. I look forward to coming again. I consider it to be a great location, near many tourist sites.
The Fritzpatrick is conviently located a 20 minute walk to Radio City, St Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center. Lots of shopping 2 blocks to Bloomingdale's. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly, professional and courteous. The restaurant is convenient for all your dining needs. The wait staff is very attentive. We loved that it was quiet and a quaint homey feeling that made you feel safe .
Excellent location and great team
The surrounding area was good. The room was dark and needed updating (chipped bath). No charging ports near desk. Only one "regular" coffee pod each morning for a room that sleeps up to 4? I should've of checked on bed size. A little small (not a king) for a suite. Staff was attentive and friendly
What a quaint and charming hotel! The room could have used a bit of an update but the entire experience was lovely- especially their restaurant and wait staff. And the location is perfect.
Great stay
This was my second stay. The rooms are cozy and clean. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Great staff Clean rooms
Good location but check in time was strict and we were told we would be called when the room was ready. They never called. I had to go check on and was told oh yes it is ready. We attempted to check in at 3:15 for a their 4pm check in time and were told the room was not ready.
Great service and location
Wonderful hotel and staff
Love this classic NYC spot. We stayed in two suites and they are HUGE, clean, comfy and the hotel staff are lovely. Can’t beat the location if you are in the city for the holidays - easy walk to Rockefeller Center, the park, around the corner from Bloomingdales and blocks from the subway.
The Fitzpatrick is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, chic wet room style bathrooms & walkable to Time Square, 5th ave, and tons of other shopping and dining. The decor is charming and beautiful. In the lobby we were seated at an oak desk in front of a vintage library collection, where we were checked in by welcoming staff who were dressed in tailored suits. The elevator is especially unique and beautiful. This is a great spot for a romantic getaway or a weekend with the family. We’ll be making this our go-to hotel for weekend trips!
I was surprised at how run down this hotel was: tattered rugs and the sheer curtains in our room. The clerk who checked us in was cold and indifferent. Even though I had emailed the hotel earlier and mentioned that I had stayed at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Killiney and their other Times Square location and that we were coming to NYC to celebrate my partner's birthday, there was no acknowledgment. There was not even a “how was your stay” at checkout. I wish I had stayed elsewhere.
What a great find!
Amazing hotel with spacious rooms. The front desk staff as so helpful and friendly.
Friendly staff and great location. The bed was comfortable,
Incredible staff that help you feel at home while traveling.
We had a good stay, the hotel is convenient to so many attractions. The feedback is that we could not control the temperature of the room, it was so hot!! Our television did not work. We had to call maintenance every time we wanted to watch tv. We were told there was nothing we could do, but to keep calling if we wanted it turned in. For the money, we should be comfortable with a working TV.
All depends on the room I guess
We have stayed at Fitzpatrick twice since July of this year. While I love the vibe here and the friendliness of the largely Irish staff- we must have had a nice room the the first time we stayed. This time our room had large noticeable burn marks in the carpet and the toilet specifically was jammed so tightly in to the space for it that you could not really maneuver for TP etc. So I was more underwhelmed this visit.
Everything was great!
This may have been the BEST stay I have ever had ANYWHERE! My husband and I had such a great experience. We haven't traveled in a while, so even though our first room was nice, we really wanted a room with a better view and the staff was so helpful with our upgrade. The suite was even better and just perfect for what we wanted. Also, every single person working there is just SO nice and accommodating. The bartenders, the desk staff, the cleaning staff — we've never met better people at a hotel. This will forever be our go-to hotel when we go to NYC!
Very good experience.
I enjoyed my one-night stay. That said, it was a cold night, but mgmt had not turned the heat on. The rooms are very nice, but the wallpaper is tired, and the floor moldings were beaten up badly. Excellent bed and bedding. My room had an interior view--depressing. The neighborhood is great. Very clean. Friendly service at reception. I do plan to stay at the Fitzpatrick again.
Very comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff, great central location. Will definitely stay again.
Service was excellent! Room was perfect for our stay. Baby friendly!
Nice and well-located option for staying near Central Park/midtown
Beautiful hotel and unexpectedly quiet for Manhattan! Staff was super nice and helpful. Thanks!
Great stay. Friendly, helpful staff
Great location
House keeping on our floor was amazing. Super friendly!
Pubes on Toilet Room smelled like smoke
I liked the fellow irish staff!!
Great central location, excellent staff, and bar tenders.
Room smelled like smoke. Expensive room for being average. No receipt from Expedia ever arrived.
Lack of plugs in room. No fridge.
I like to professionalism of the staff. Very convenient.
Really great stay at a clean, safe and beautiful hotel! This was a great option to the hotels near Times Square which feels very dangerous these days. The staff was very responsive and helpful at 11:30 at night when we needed a few more blankets, etc.
Nothing was necessarily bad, the property could use some renovations on the finishes & furniture, which looked and felt low quality. The bathroom and the shower/tub combo especially.
Great staff!!!
The staff and facility is amazing! Will stay there again as I have a child in school there. Highly recommended.
Good location and friendly people. Room wasn’t ready until 5pm though which was kind of inconvenient
The hotel is beautiful and incredibly well located! The staff were super friendly and I will definitely stay here again.
Lovely property, good location
Lovely property, good location. Very comfortable. Definitely recommend.
Excellent. They think of everything.
It’s a solid place in midtown. Not fancy but nice and clean . Needs a minor refresh in some areas and slightly more maintenance but overall a good place.
Great place. Friendly staff and good location.
Excellent hotel, very helpful staff, great restaurant.
Well located & charming boutique hotel. They had difficulty finding my reservation on check in and fortunately I was able to show them the print confirmation.
Pleasant business trip
This is not a luxury hotel, and having a resort fee is kind of ridiculous -- no pool or gym on site, though they will give ypu a pass to a gym a couple blocks away. However, service is excellent and friendly, rooms are comfortable and nicer than a budget hotel, and the location is superb. It"s an excellent value for an East side hotel, at about half the price of others. If location is key and you want a nice place to stay at a good price, I recommend it.
The staff was very kind, it felt like a very family-owned property and everything you need is there in the room. Iron, ironing board, dryer, good hangers, normal and sufficient toiletries, a small kitchenette with a sink and refrigerator. The bathroom door closes and everything works as expected, unlike many of the new trendy hotel bathrooms that are barn door style with no privacy. Great size for Manhattan too. I don't think this place has a gym in-house but at another location, if that's something that matters to you. Midtown is quiet at night around that area and not a lot is open but still convenient enough especially during the day. Some healthy food options too with Whole foods nearby and a salad takeaway place. I would totally stay here again.
Stayed for one night. It was great for one night. The setup of the room could have been better.its NY so everything is small, i get it. Bed was very comfortable. Food was not that great at the restaurant, multiple issues with simple directions with our food AND quality of the food. They tried to bring me rotten shrimp. They did try their best to resolve our issues. Checkout time is 12 noon, the morning of multiple knocks on the door BEFORE 10 A.M. asking if we were checking out soon.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff goes over and above to make your stay pleasurable. The room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely go back.
Staff was very accommodating and friendly to my late check out/early check in needs. Great location for where I needed to be. The room itself was okay. It smelled really musty and the AC was blowing warm air which made for a warm night. Overall average stay.
The hotel and the room itself was great. There was an exhaust fan on an adjacent building that made a terrible screeching sound repeatedly. Kept us awake and was very disruptive.
This is a nice quality old school establishment. Safe. Comfortable.
Irish Gem
Friendly, helpful staff. Well kept , comfortable room. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and felt like we had a small apartment. The 2 closets were a bonus. Lobby, restaurant and bar were welcoming and offered nice choices . The area was nice to stroll around . Will definitely return.
Smaller intimate property in good location to mid town areas of onterest
Clean, Helpful staff. Restaurant was very good!
very easy to get around, with plenty of eating options.
Unexpected upgraded room, staff super helpful and friendly and great location. Would stay again for a longer visit.
Hotel staff called prior to our stay and assisted with parking arrangements as well as answering our questions regarding how close they were to Memorial Sloan Kettering. We were greeted promptly and courteously at check in. Our room (304) had a musty odor. The refrigerator had some mold. The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well.
I frequently stay @ this hotel. The room I was given was a tad dated & agsin the AC was on very high & the room barely cools. Same thing 3 days ago when I was there. Except a different room. Otherwise staff is very nice, convenient location to my workplace
Nice suite and comfortable bed
Nice and comfortable hotel.
The wonderful concierge — whose first name i didn’t catch but last name was smith — was so kind, welcoming, and thorough
Never again
Relentless noise from vent in the alley. Staff was abrupt and unhelpful.
A totally delightful hotel reminiscent of the days when professional service was an art. There are many other more expensive NYC hotels without the polish of The Fitzpatrick; they would do well to emulate this hotel. Outstanding staff throughout the hotel; immaculate and comfortable room; charming restaurant — I will be back.
Highly recommend
I really appreciated how quiet this hotel was from both interior and exterior noise. They also had a partnership with an amazing local gym a few blocks away. It was a serious upgrade from the usual below average fitness room provided by most hotels. Just based on those things alone, I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion is to invest in some firmer mattresses.
Staff was very good and accommodating
Lovely hotel, lovely staff.
Great location and comfortable
Very pleasant
Lovely hotel staff very helpful and friendly. However the hotel common areas and our room was very warm. AC needs attention. They should provide water in the in room fridge.
Love this hotel. Was our first time staying there. When we arrived, the gentleman at the desk was having some difficulty with the card reader. It was not a big deal at all, but he was sure to give us drink vouchers and upgrade us to a suite. Totally unnecessary but very nice! Loved the old style of the hotel. It was clean, and well maintained. Only issue is their building a hotel across the street from the room we were in so it got pretty noisy quite early. Not the hotels fault though. Overall very satisfied.
Lovely room
Very nice. Terrible bite but I don’t care. The rim lovely, small but very nice. I’d stay here again. Service excellent.

I room heaven bags
Great location, easy check in and out, and reasonable staff. However, my suite was nothing close to the pics in the website. Looked more outdated. The bathtub didn’t drain well either.
Wonderful property, attentive staff and a safe & quiet area to stay while in the city
Good overall value. Room is small, AC is not great.
Great size rooms for Manhattan. Service was great as well
Very good hotel with excellent location and service especially the front desk very helpful and polite, rooms comfortable and functional.
We were excited to stay in this hotel because of the area which is close to all attractions. Hotel s run down and they are not even maintaining it. Will not go back.
Nice staff
The gentleman at the front desk was most accomodating. .
Definitely positive
Great boutique hotel
Amazing Staff
Staff was amazing! Hotel was super comfortable. Only reason I gave a four star was that the elevator didn’t always work properly and there was some Minor cracks in the shower. But we would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful facility, very happy with my stay, staff very friendly. Highly recommend!!!
I have stayed here in the past. Boutique hotel in the heart of mid-town with amazing staff.
Nice property with friendly and helpful staff
Skip this place and Stay at Sonesta Garden ES inst
Room smelled like chlorox. Damp and uncomfortable. But bar was adorable and good service
Liked it’s accessibility to public transportation.
Cleanliness. Hospitality
We had a fabulous time at the Fitzpatrick. We were a little hesitant about staying in NYC bur the moment we entered the hotel we knew we made a wonderful choice. The staff was so kind and helpful. Room was perfect!
Great midtown east location. Very friendly and kind staff. Cozy room with a comfortable bed. Loved the bathrobe that was provided. Older building with lots of charm.
Nice Clean Hotel!
