Hotel is walking distance toTunjungan Plaza. Room is clean but towels are quite old . No mini bar ,but the price paid is reasonable.

Cental location for the right price

You get what you pay for. Its cheap but then the cost is cheap too. Room was clean and functional. If you want somewhere cheap and clean in a central location, this is ideal. Bear in mind..the cheapest rooms do not have windows.

Near shopping centre, Tunjungan Plaza. The location is behind the main road, not so good though. Wifi is on and off regularly. Bottle water not even 1 bottle is not provided. we drink water from water dispenser outside the room.Not good. Wall paper inside the room is a kind of yakki. Better has the white wall or has a painting instead.

We stayed in a large room with a “king” bed. Very spacious. Nice cold a/c and great TV. The staff was friendly and helpful. They brought me an iron and board to use. This hotel is a budget hotel so price was very good. I give it low marks for cleanliness and location. Loud music played until late at night and smokey smell through vents.

Should book breakfast when booking for the rooms because if you do it, you'll pay only 4 AUD each breakfast. The breakfast was quite good. A lot of food, drinks, snacks, fruits, etc. Buffet style. If you pay for breakfast not included with your rooms rate, it would be 6.6 AUD each breakfast. I think it's the same price at Fave Hotels Indonesia wide. The standard double room was for one person only judging by the size but quite good by the price at 25 AUD a night. Hot water worked but water volume and water pressure were not so good.The hotel had food courts within the hotel, a gym, restaurants, balcony cafe/karaoke room. It always had so many quests (many rooms filled) each day. Boncafe steak house was just across the hotel and Alfamart was a few houses away from the hotel (alfamart is a mini supermarket like seven elevens in many countries but it is also the place where you can buy prepaid minutes and Internet data for your mobile phones). It was probably 5-6 minutes walk to Tunjungan Plaza. I think for the price of the nightly room at the hotel, the hotel is good.

Cleanliness is a must as mosquitoes nest mainly guests eat in the room n no proper cleaning after guest departure.

Comfortable but there's room for improvement ...

The stay was comfortable and the FO and Housekeeping staff were friendly. Please improve on breakfast buffet menu, its set up, cleanliness and noticed the staff at the breakfast venue were not so friendly and cheerful. The gym needs attention as the air-cond system was not working. I believe this hotel can further improve and will definitely come again to stay at this hotel.

It's ok overall

Location is good if you're looking in the middle of city, next to big Tunjungan Plaza shopping mall. Room quality and bedding .... clean, but could be improved with better linen and possibly towel It's ok for its price.

Convenient location . Located away from the main busy road but just a few minutes walk to Tunjungan Plaza where I can find my shopping needs & plenty of food choices. Secured place as you need the access card to open the door at lift lobby .

I was not comfort, noisy from both side. Aircond leak, less room soundproof. Other guess doesn't with good manners make noise. There is tiny bugs fly in few place inside my room also. Could be came from the toilet. Sorry to tell, i won't stay there anymore.

Nice hotel in the center of the town

Hotel was near by Tunjangan Plaza, it was convenient to walk around as it was in the center of the town, quite a few good food places / restaurants were in short walking distance. The room was spacious. Breakfast area was decent, food selections were limited.

I did not like the shower. I prefer shower which I can hold. The other things were all just o.k. There was no hairdrier in the room. The bathtowels were old and dirty. The good thing about the hotel is the location only.

Perfect location

This hotel is good if you just need it for sleep. Not recommended if you travel with children since this hotel doesn't have facilities suitable for kids. However the location is perfect in town close to biggest shopping mall TP and lots of restaurants and eateries nearby. I asked for non smoking room but my room smells smokes and in the hallway smells smoke too for couple days. Breakfast is nice with some varieties like congee, soup, rice/fried rice with 4 choice of meals, veggies with peanut sauce, bread with jam, egg station cooked as requested, coffee & tea, juices, indo style dessert, cakes & fruits. The service in the restaurant is good too. I enjoyed them all but since the food are the same (only 1 or 2 meals changed and rotated) for my 7 days of staying there, I felt bored with the food on my last days. I may come to stay in this hotel again if I go to Surabaya.

Surprising nice interior and cozy feeling

When i book the hotel, my first intention is just a hotel for sleeping. Thus was looking for a budget hotel. However, i was shock when i enter the hotel, the interior of the room gives a comfy and cozy feeling. My friend and I was so happy to have stay in the hotel. The staff is super friendly and greet us with smile when we arrive, although we are late. As for the cleanliness of the room, i cant find any fault with the hotel and the room itself. (y) Recommended

The people were nice and the location was great, but the room had ants crawling in the bed and the water was cold.

Decent hotel for the money. If all you need is a bed to crash in, this will suffice. If you are not closterphobic, you can get the cheapest room but it has no windows. The next level up has windows. Very close walk to Tunjungan Plaza. Breakfast buffet is so so but for the included price, you can't complain.

Affordable hotel and convenient. Walking distance to McDonalds and Tunjungan Plaza. Room condition is acceptable. Toilet needs some improvement. I would recommend this only if you're on a tight budget.

Average hotel, decent neighborhood

The hotel was a bit odd with the lobby on the 3rd floor and the room on the 2nd floor, however the service was attentive from the moment we arrived to check in. The room is quite small and not much room for 2 people. The room itself was clean but the walls and furnishings are very worn and beat up looking. I guess it's good for the price. I did not see much of Surabaya so not sure how its located in proximity to the city but its about 45 minutes from the airport and the surrounding area has a grocery store, several restaurants and fast food options and a movie theater within close walking distance.

The hotel room was clean and modern. I would put it on par with a western hotel. I got a good deal on it so I found the value to be high.

Parking of the car is terrible

I was brought to the 9th floor parking lot that is available just for checking in. The the lift was so tiny for only 6 people. And when it is full, we have to wait for the lift a long time. At the front desk they don't tell us the procedure for free parking. No parking is available at the front of the entrance.

Budget hotel with decent rooms

We stayed at FAVE hotel for a night. Overall, it was alright for the price. Only thing was that the rooms were rather small. If you're looking for just a room to stay for a short stay-over, FAVE hotel should be fine. Service staff were a bit slow though.

It is okay, not very pleasant

We checked in at about 8pm and the room was at the corner superior room. We requested a double bed but the room offerred two single beds. And the room itself is quite dark because of the colour of the curtain and looks very cheap. No complain about the look cheap as i expected it before (i got a sale on air asia). The breakfast was so-so... Coffee and tea was not nice... Overall stay: its ok for sleeping only but not to relax or find comfort

Great Location, Great Food

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to Tunjungan Plaza. The food at Drago Restaurant is good and cheap. I went there for a dinner. I also ordered through room service. The complimentary breakfast is also good. My only complain is my room has no window. Overall, it is a great 3 star hotel. Book it.

I stayed here after the weekends in Bromo. My room is a standard room. Very clean and cozy. A 24 hr convenient store is available on the ground floor. The hotel is about 10 mins walking distance to Tunjungan Plaza.

Great budget hotel with decent, clean and safe rooms

Depending on room availability, allowed me an early check in. Smiles galore, friendly staff. Small, basic rooms with fresh drinking water and fresh daily linen, more than comfortable enough for one or two nights stay. Would stay there again if visiting Surabaya.

Interesting Room

I stayed only 1 night; but very impressed about the room. Because room is very interesting design and also lighting was OK. Very satisfied. The problem only; I got the room without outside view at all. But its OK, because I need only 1 night for rest.

Girly room, perfect for a shopoholic

I was disappointed at first, as my standard room did not have a window. But I asked reception for a change, and they promptly offered me another room, so all was well. Rooms are very small and so no window was horrible, with a window it was charming. Clean. No amenities, but I liked the hot water availability in the lobby....though a teapot in the room would be better.

Excellent Value for money!!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our holiday tour to Volcanoes Bromo and Ijen. We were very impressed by the room. The decoration was modern and the design of the 3 sets of concealed lightings was fabulous! There were another 2 lights on the writing table and the bedside table. The glass window between the bed and the bathroom was quite sexy, and you can close it if you like. The air conditioner worked well and was easily controlled by remote. The room size was small but adequate for 2 adults. The only amenities provided were toothbrush and 2 bottles of drinking water, but they will supply you with shower cap, razor, slippers for a small additional fee. No mini bar, but a small shop on the ground floor. Breakfast was included, and was a good selection of local Indonesian food, salads, porridge and surprising Pizza. All-in-all, a very good hotel with best price!! Its location is across the road from Boncafe, winner of best restaurant in Surabaya in 2011 and 2012. Amazing steaks there.

have great stay at fave Mex Surabaya, minimalist design with pink bright color. Avoid with big luggage cuz haven't got much space in the room, breakfast so so. there is nice restaurant just opposite of the hotel, location of the hotel it,s just 50 meter from main rd plenty hawker surround the hotel and the plaza just around the corner. the service just an averages nothing special sometime you have to wait to check in but not big deals as I've got the hotel deals

Conveneient from our viewpoint

Generally very happy apart from the fact that the Hotel offered to "book a taxi" and ''confirm your airline flight bookings". When asked to book a taxi, they offered a car and driver for more than double the taxi fare, and weren't prepared to book a a taxi at all. When asked to confirm the bookings for flights which I had made 4 months earlier, they declined initially, and when I pointed the offer was included in their own printed material, they then claimed that Garuda "wasn't answering"

Pesanan menggunakan connecting door tidak bisa dipastikan ketersediaannya walaupun sudah booking dari 2 bulan sebelumnya. Walaupun pada saat hari h tersedia kamar dengan connecting door tersebut, namun kondisi kamar sangat terasa perbedaannya. Dimana kamar luas kamar walaupun pemesanan ukuran dua superior tetapi satu kamar sangat terasa sempit dan berbeda ukurannya. Pada kamar yg lebih kecil tersebut juga awalnya dapat keset yang sudah rombeng. Shower juga pancurannya sudah tidak bagus. Sangat berbeda dengan kondisi kamar sebelahnya. Lokasi yang baik dekat dengan TP menjadi poin plus yang penting

Nice hotel and just a step away from the big mall

I was late check out, almost midnight but the staff is very helpfull. Some parts of the hotel is under renovation but not causing disturbances for the guest. The room is small but clean. AC, TV and other room equipments are working well. The price is fair.

Staff not professional enough. Asking anything got no answer. In the room got mosquito, for shower has no hot water for two night..... They didn't solved customer problem in the right time.
