A spectacular stay
The customer service was second to none. All the staff truly treated us like royalty. My wife & I didn't feel that we were just numbers like we had felt at some other high~fi locations, The rooms at Fateh Garh were among the most luxurious and stupendous we've ever come across, even when compared to western 5* hotels & escape resorts. The vegitarian platter was absolutely heaven to the taste buds. Soft live music accompanied our food in the majestic dinning hall along with the views to complement. The location is set in an extremely attractive mountainous terrain overlooking the city of Udaipur and it's beautiful palaces and large lake in the foreground. Sterling in every sense of the word. Very picturesque and pleasing to the eyes. The views were full of awe. The ethos was so calm and peacefull and inspiring, especially the large pool with the fountains sounding like waterfalls in the the background as you relax and absorb everything that is 360° orbiting you. Here YOU ARE the centre of the universe. ❤️ Kudo to the staff for making our stay one to relish immensely. Special thanks to Veena and Mr Anil Soni for going that extra mile and making our stay a memorable one and understanding and meeting the needs of myself, a physically challenged individual. Using the lift service and the rear entrance minimised the steps. They even allowed us to park at the rear. Thank you Fateh Garh. Again ... ❤️
This is a beautiful hotel on the mountain side with great views. This hotel will place you in a setting reminiscent of traditional upscale royal Indian living with architecture right out of an old Hindi movie. I loved the infinity edge pool. They offered many activity options to include a nostalgic classic car ride to a sunset dinner. I give them 2 rating for the dinner bcuz they failed to meet the sunset time. Otherwise this is plus hotel to stay at.
Such an amazing location and palace. All the staff were very friendly, especially Mayur who was making sure we were very comfortable during our stay.
Very hospitable staff. Very helpful staff. Very spacious and clean rooms. Can be very noisy on corridors. Did not see any lifts so unsure if suitable for persons with mobility problems as several steps to climb before reaching rooms.
Fatehgarh Trip
Beautiful property!
Then place is nice, hard to access taxi wise and walking to rooms. There is no elevator. The Concierge is very pushy to sell there is Services. This part doesn’t have a good service I got her a massage and body scrub which was nothing big deal. concierge is very pushy to sell there is Services. This spa doesn’t have a good service I got their a massage and body scrub which was nothing big deal and left not much relaxed. They need to work on knowing the sight seeing schedule and hiring safe drivers with air conditioning car.
Nice stay - Excellent views.
Booked 2 rooms. Reached at night. Rooms were good but beds were not very comfortable. Nice views from rooms. Had a privacy issue. One morning heard some noises outside our window of first floor room. Suddenly few maintenance workers walked past outside our window eves and started doing repairs. We were getting ready to go out. A knock on the door to warn us would have been better. Room service was good. Staff was very helpful. Hotel recommend tipping only at checkout but need to be recorded on invoice or need to have a tipping jar. Cappuccino very average. I think a bit overpriced stay.
Nice place - can improve service
Asked extra bed. Asked for a room heater. Took forever to send things to the room.
Beautiful view, very good service, would like to come back.
The views from the hotel were fantastic, but the location is not convenient from the perspective of access to the city. The access to the lobby is difficult for anyone who is not fit. This hotel would be good for young people who just want to relax and not indulge in much tourism. Front desk needs improvement both in attitude and competence, Bathroom was lacking in hair dryer and toiletries were minimal. We only had breakfast at the hotel and found it disappointing both in variety and quality compared to other hotels which would cost the same.amount. The service overall was quite good.
Grand but minimalistic hotel with great views
Nice quite hotel, very spacious and clean, almost minimalistic but tastefully done. Provided great outdoor dining experience with views to the City and Lake Palaces as well as Jagmandir.
Excellent Hotel with Amazing Views
We traveled as a family and occupied two rooms. This hotel was excellent from all points of view. From the rooms, to the food, to the amazing views from the patio, the stay was excellent. And the price was not overblown. But you have to have a driver (as we did) to reach the main tourist sites with ease.
Exceptional views
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were always polite and smiling. Nothing was too much trouble.
Very rude untrained front office staff
Their card machine was not working i needed to get to a meeting they said u can check out ( small extras amount, a fraction of what i had already paid for room, and this is an expensive hotel) only if you go via an atm in a Location we specify with one of our staff and get cash. I told them where exactly i was going and to send someone to collect the money as i was late and it was their fault the card machines were not working. the reception person followed me to my car saying i wont let you go and called his manager and said the guest says she doesnt want to pay she is running away (no mention of card machine not working). I got a text in apology from the hotel manager later.. There are a hundred ways this could have been resolved especially as i am reaident in teh country and the Taj or Oberoi or anyone else at this price point would have handled it better.
Secluded, serene, peaceful.
Had a nice time, the place is beautiful, a little outside the main city but for honeymooners like us it was ideal. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Lovely views. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks are a little on the expensive side but overall a nice place to stay.
Overpriced and disappointing
It was a frustrating experience. The view was spectacular and the setting grand but it was not as advertised. There is one restaurant, not two, the WiFi signal incredibly weak and cut out constantly...as did the electricity, there isnt a hair salon as is advertised and the spa was not of luxury caliber. Overall, the services and food were incredibly overpriced. There didn't appear to be anywhere else to eat in the vacinity and the food was hit or miss. Don't order fish. The air conditioner also left a huge puddle of fluid on the floor. For the hotel prices, I would at bare minimum expect consistent electricity and a functioning AC.
best hotel in udaipur.
this was our second time staying here, we loved this property so much the first time that me an my wife brought our whole family with us this time. the hotel is outside the city limit of udaipur. but one can be in downtown udaipur by car in 10mins time. food at the hotel needs improvement taste wise, it doesn't match the price. everything else was superb and one should go there to experience tranquility.
Palace between mountains
Hotel is extraordinary wth a very nice interior. The view from hotel is just amazing. Built between Arawali mountains, it's an ideal destination for nature lovers. The only problem is that they don't have shower room or changing room next to swimming pool. Good is very gud but bit overpriced.

Incredible Rajasthani Experience!
Even more beautiful than in the pictures! Fateh Garh is a grand and peaceful hotel and wedding venue. We visited for the first time ahead of our 2-day wedding being hosted there in Feb 2025. We are over the moon with our choice, the people, service, food and hospitality is second to none. A special thank you to the Anil ji and the Head Chef for their venue tour, accommodation and kindness.
