Ambiance were perfect. All staff were nice and kind. Room decoration was so lovely. Hotel location is so central. You can walk everywhere easily. I recommend this place 0.

Mama Mia! Fantastico!

Staying in Palermo before and after a trip to Taormina. Family Affair is amazing and the ladies take exceptional care during your stay. The breakfast was fantastic! 5 star no doubt.

Great Hotel, Great Location

We had a great stay at Family Affair. It was our first time in Palermo and the hotel was walking distance to all of the major landmarks, but away from the noise and chaos of the historic center. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and clean. Neighborhood is stunning with beautiful residential buildings and local shops and restaurants.

The property is very good. Rooms are clean . Decorations are nice . Good Location. Nice buildings and shops around the property but the street is so dirty . Garbage everywhere, plastic bottles on the side walks . I am not a resident but If I were , I would definitely not vote to that mayor.

The property itself is ok. We booked a small room. What we received was a broom closet. To enter the bathroom we had to move our luggage into the hallway. Our advertised courtyard view was a great view of the air conditioner and the wall of the next building. The whole thing is a bit deceiving. When I tried to talk to the person at the front desk she instantly went from nice to very condescending. She spoke to me like I was a child and had never booked a hotel before when in reality I am an exceptionally well travelled Travel Agent. I won’t be booking this property again and sure will not book for any of my clients.

A great stay

We had a great stay at Family Affair. Our room - the corner suite - was beautifully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding and service friendly, efficient and thoughtful. Would not hesitate to stay again and have already recommended to friends.

Staff is wonderful. Elevator available. Easy to access from the airport and via bus through out Palermo.

The staff and the service they provide is spectacular , the quality of the breakfast is great and the Rooms have beautiful temas all of then different .

Amazing little gem. Deserves all the rave reviews. Staff is absolutely fantastic. Suite was gorgeous. Lovely lady at check in was very proud of the city and when "briefly explaining" the area, pretty much designed a custom walking itinerary on their map, highlighting all major spots worth seeing. This was excellent and greatly cut down on wasted time. Upon learning that I was departing early in the morning, on my last night, the staff packed a little to go breakfast and left it in my room the night before. Fantastic small touches for a perfect stay. Highly recommended.

The rooms are clean, classy and comfortable. The staff was amazing, friendly, welcoming, helpful and competent. Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of options with great cappuccinos. Thank you for a great four day stay. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

The Family Affair is a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time in Palermo and the Family Affair was a great place to stay. Well located in a nice area of Palermo only 15 minutes walk to the old part of the city. Our room was comfortable and well appointed and the daily breakfasts were great. Our hosts were also very helpful. Highly recommended!

The style was amazing, parking literally within a few meters from hotel, clean, service was amazing, breakfast quaint and included . We had an early departure so they make sure we had breakfast ready for us. Love this place

The decor was lovely in the suite and the location was excellent. The breakfast was also very delicious and copious and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Really wished we could have stayed longer.

Location in a safe residential neighborhood. Short walking distance to city center. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

We had a number of early morning starts and the staff prepared breakfast packs which they left in our room the night before. Not required but a great way to look after your customers.

Good design Noisy B&B at intersection of busy street, traffic noise all day starting early in the morning, a nightclub next door kept us awake until 2am, noisy apartment above our room. Elevator out of action sometimes had to walk up a lot of stairs. Breakfast more a snack than a meal. Overpriced

Modern interior which makes a feature of the original room decorations. Staff really friendly and helpful. We loved the room we had and would certainly recommend it.

Best Hotel Experience Ever

Simply amazing. Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was splendid and the best I’ve ever had. Also it’s location was super ideal and in a nice neighborhood. This place felt like home.

Due to our bus to Heathrow breaking down, and 2 delayed flights we arrived much later into Palermo than we had initially planned. Family Affair are listed on Expedia as a Hotel so we didn't think it would matter about the lateness of our arrival as it was a hotel right?. No! in fact it's a B&B. So check in is at 8.00pm and that is it! When we arrived feeling very weary at Family Affair it was closed, there is a sign with a ph number for out of hours. Rang the number, no answer, it's 12.00pm we are out in the street worrying that we won't have anywhere to stay. Then some Palermian people pass by and ask if they can assist. They call the number and get through, they explain for us that we have arrived and we need the keys to get in. The person in charge screams down the ph, the chap who's kindly called on our behalf shrugs his shoulders and gives his ph over to me and l endure 10 minutes of the woman running Family Affair shouting at me that we are too late and did we read the small print! After what seems an age l mention refund, only then she relents and says she'll organise a neighbour to give us the keys. The Pizza place right next door is called PiPi Room Pizzas, we stumbled into their restaurant, by now it is 12.50 am, and they are obviously closing. We explain what is going on, they ask if we would like a beer we say yes please! And then they say would we like some food and we order 2 pizzas which were absolutely the best we have ever had. So don't be late

Beautiful, fresh, hospitable, comfortable B&B

Wow, just wow! We stayed in the Rivoli room, which had beautiful, old original ceilings, tiled floors and stone archway over door. It also had two balconies looking onto street. The staff couldn't have been more professional, kind and accommodating. Breakfast had lots of great choices. When we had to check out before breakfast time, I asked the staff if we could get some breakfast beforehand, expecting maybe a few items to take away with us. But they opened breakfast a 1/2 hour before four us. So kind. The location of this place is good, too, walkable to the center attractions. A couple decent restaurants on nearby blocks, too. Would highly recommend this B&B. We felt like royalty.

Gorgeous!

This place was incredible! We were so impressed with the room. Balconies overlooking the streets, beautiful hand painted ceiling, and a super comfortable bed. We could have stayed here weeks. We we definitely be back.

State of the art rooms, perfect location

First off, the location is great! This is a really nice area of Palermo, with loads of designer shops around, as well as nice bars and restaurants. It's a 6 min walk from Teatro Politeama, where you can get on and off the airport shuttle bus and most day trips start from there too. It's about 20 min walk to the old town centre straight down the main road (Via Libertà). Super easy. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights in the La Cala room, which is probably the smallest of the 5 or so that they have. The design is great - all new furnishings, lovely tiles in the bathroom, there's a bidet too etc. The room is very small, with only the bed to sit on and not much storage space. As we were out all day long, it was perfect for us, but if you're used to having a wardrobe, chairs, sofa, it might be a good idea to go for one of the larger rooms. Breakfast was included, with fresh goods from the bakery (incl. cannoli), pistachio cream, jams, cheeses, salamis, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit etc. This takes places from 8.30am at a communal table, where, depending on your timing, you might get to sit with the other guests. Hosts are extremely nice and accommodating - we had to skip breakfast one day as we were leaving early and they prepared some snacks the night before for us to take with the next day. Highly recommended! I'd definitely come back here next time.

Quiet Haven

Beautifully decorated, very well managed BNB, located in a quiet part of town. Friendly and helpful staff. Brekki was delicious. Parking station around the corner.

Couldn’t have been better

My boyfriend and I booked Family Affair for our weeks holiday for Palermo and it didn’t disappoint. Situated just out of the busy city centre, everything that you need is a short walk away. We also had a car which we were able to easily park in a car park opposite. Ramona was a perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed in. We loved the kitchen table style breakfast which meant we got to chat to the other guests over a cup of coffee and a plate of incredible food. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a stress free trip to Sicily.

Lovely Boutique Hotel with amazing staff

The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet part of town, there are lovely shops and restaurants at walking distance, despite not feeling like the busiest part of town. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they organised our boat trip (which is highly, highly recommended). The breakfast was very generous and delicious (but watch out for the sugar content). The rooms are striking, have high ceilings and AC.

STAY HERE

There isn't enough time or space here to say how amazing my stay was here. From the calming and creative color schemes and decor of the rooms ....to the ease of the hosts who allow you to feel at home in an instant; this is the place to stay. Conveniently located around some of the best places to eat with the locals or to walk into town to see the historical sites. The breakfast area is gorgeous and comfortable with treats that are fresh and delicious. I will, without a doubt, be coming back to stay at Family Affair.

Great Stay

The B&B itself is a very nice place. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into the place and have done very well doing so. They are very nice and extremely accommodating. I would recommend the place to any couple - we stayed in the economy room which was a tight room - but you can make it work.

Ein wunderschönes Boutique B&B Hotel mit geräumigen, schönen Zimmern. Die Innenstadt ist fußläufig erreichbsr und es gibt einige Einkaufmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend, das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag im Detail geputzt und das Frühstücksbuffet ist für die Größe der Unterkunft (Zimmer kann man an zwei Händen abzählen) wirklich vielseitig. Lediglich die Siebträgermaschine fehlt, aber der Kaffee ist trotzdem grundsolide und vor der Tür gibt es ja bekanntlich genügend Alternativen.
