Early check in and late check out at no extra charge.
I was only informed last night about some staff on strike and some limited service. Check in was excellent had nice meal in their restsurant and pleased with room. So far good experience
Staff was extremely kind. Was a wonderful experience
Great all around property
Disaster
They were on strike and we never had our room serviced during the stay. No restaurants or room service. And we had to cross a picket line to enter/exit. It was a disaster. Not one break on the cost of our stay.
The cost of convenience
There isn’t a more convenient hotel for a wee stay in Montreal than the Queen Elizabeth hotel. Especially if you are travelling by train. Connected to the Gare Central station concourse level (as well as the RESO) as well as the Metro, you’ll be set for setting out to al corners of Montreal as well as Quebec City and beyond! Also walking distance to many restaurants, clubs, shopping, cafes, and the Bell Centre too.
We were surprised one day to find if we took the elevator down from the lobby you end up in the undergroud train station. We had a cheap and delicious breakfast with fresh croissants and coffee without ever having to leave the hotel. It was a prime location and we will be back again next year.
A prestigious hotel worth visiting
We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly and professional at the same. Despite we had to cut our trip short due to my wife's illness, managements was very uncomfortable and forthcoming in terms of assistance to make the return smooth sailing. Amazing staff and we will definitely go back and finish our experience.
Lovely room and excellent view of church 8
Central but busy
Excellent location and friendly staffs!!
Even with the strike on they were incredible! Thank you for the great stay.
Housekeeping strike occurred during my week stay during Montreal Pride. My stay was fine but the lack of services, closed pool, lack of regular housekeeping made the trip sub par. I do appreciate the management trying their best but at $400 a night, I wish I got a discount.
Top notch service from staff with excellent amenities!
The concierge charged $2 per piece to keep our luggages after we checked out. Other hotels provide such service for free. The room amenities can include shower cap.
Central location
Not Perfect
The hotel is very nice, excellent location. The service was interrupted by the union walkout. Our rooms were not cleaned and all services were shut down. It was a great inconvenience.
There was a strike going on while we were there,so many services were not available. The strikers were also protesting outside of the hotel. They were loud and disruptive.
Attending National Bank open. Free shuttle to the venue. Strike in the hotel but the remaining employees went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay
Staff are not in uniform. Everyone looks shabby like they just woke up and wore a wrinkly t shirt. One person at check in was wearing a basketball jersey. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a suite but having a kid in a basketball jersey check you in. This hotel is not worth the money anymore. Look elsewhere before settling for this hotel. Don’t fall for the pretty lobby when underneath it all there are some MAJOR issues you might face. The toilet in my room had feces left over from the previous guest (I have taken photos). The curtain was broken from the left side and we were unable to adjust it. I went to the pool on two different days and there was a small object in the pool that hadn’t been cleaned up. The valet team does not tuck in their shirts, I questioned giving them my car and the type of care they would drive it with. The plugs near the bedside do not work. Anything you plug in will be loose and even if you hold it up there is no electricity coming from the plugs. If these are the issues I can see, imagine all the issues we cannot see when it comes to cleanliness.
Nice hotel
The hotel located in a walkable to Old Montreal, and shopping area. It’s clean and staffs were very nice.
Elegant hotel. Great amenities. Premium location adjacent to Central Station. It would be nice if there were room in the mini bar to use it as an actual fridge without being charged.
I liked the bed
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Montreal. This makes it easy to visit all of the major attractions.
A very 3 star experience for the $$ The lobby is depressing plastic flowers? Tacky The whole city has a depressed vibe frankly.
Wonderful staff throughout the hotel
Updated Gem
Classic hotel located above Montreal train station — station basically “in the basement,” so very convenient for rail travel. The hotel has been updated and has an energetic vibe yet retains its past dignity as a “railroad hotel.”
Great room and staff. Concierge was remarkable with making reservations
Property is large, clean and convenient.
Need more people working at front desk. Or back up when lineups occur.
Front desk and valet bad service
Shower uses a halfway through glass instead of full curtain, so water easily splashes everywhere in the bathroom. Room phone and hairdryer didn’t work. We have 2 adults and 2 kids in the room; on the 2nd day, housekeeping left us with only 2 bath towels and took away our used cups and didn’t provide new ones. For a Fairmont hotel, I expected better design and service.
Wonderful stay
We were offered an upgrade to the Gold rooms and we accepted for a fee. Best thing I’ve ever done. It was wonderful in every way.
Ok but expensive
Hotel located in the city center. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Rooms are small. Hotel has a restaurant and many eateries on the first floor. Valet parking available. Very overpriced but I would still stay here again.
central location , well staffed with front desk exception, long check in lines at peak hours but all good otherwise
Excellent property as expected for Fairmont
Nothing additional. Thank you.
Not the Fairmont standard you are used to or expect.
First night, the bed sheet and pillow sheet on one bed smells bad and I have to tell them the next day for extra cleaning. Also there was big spider in the bedroom and our children screamed and ran away. My girlfriend killed it and threw it away. Second night is great. The valet people messed up my car ticket or something and couldn’t locate my car. I had to wait almost one hour just to retrieve my car. Before I came down, I also called them to get my car 30 mins earlier.
Location
Did not like the absence of a mini fridge and mircrowave in the unit. We could hear the hall noise every time someone walked by our hotel door. Not a fan of the coffee machine or the toilet. Different from most American hotels.
Just right. No complaints
Wonderful location, amenities, and service.
Very central location. Great bed.
I wish the valet parking was easier to use
Customer service was great. The concierge was amazing. The rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. There was hair on the floor in the bathrooms and in the showers.
Overall a great stay. Staff is outstanding, helped us with all our questions. Our room had a fantastic view of Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral. Hotel has access to Metro and Underground. Rosélys has amazing food and drinks, wonderful staff. Café Kréma has delicious coffee, croissants. Moment Spa a must for the most luxurious massage and facial.
The property rooms are quite dated and could use a refresh.
Good overall. Elevator and floor could have been cleaner. Reception was good. Area was great.
Amazing stay for the F1 race. Connected to Gare Centrale for the Via Train and Bonaventure for the metro.
Construction and traffic around the hotel want great. Otherwise, perfect.
Location
Wonderful experience we had during the Montreal Formula 1 2024 weekend. Check in was easy peasy, we have a corner unit room with 2 Queen Beds, room is fully renovated, 5th floor, very quiet and the cleanliness of the room. Housekeeping was excellent, they even prepped our beds for the evening each night that we stayed, for four nights. We asked for extra towels, slippers and some additional toiletries and they were very prompt that we got it right away. The staff from the bellman, front staff, housekeeping, and overall was above and beyond. They made sure our stay was a welcome and fantastic experience. Highly recommended during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.
It was my first time staying at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. I was extremely pleased with how nice and large the Deluxe Room was and the great view. It has been recently renovated. All the staff were very friendly and service oriented from the door people to the front desk to the cleaning staff. We would definitely stay here again.
For a really busy weekend , the hotel managed everything perfect!
The property is ideally situated in the city to major attractions and great restaurants all by walking. The rooms are clean and quiet to enjoy a good night sleep.
First time at this Fairmont and it didn’t disappoint. It’s been renovated recently and it’s beautifully done.
The hotel is showing its age. Thermopane window seals in our room had failed, causing internal "fogging." Furnishings showed chips and scratches. The room was very small, even by urban hotel standards. Bathroom was tiny--too small for two to stand in. Shower door could only be opened with room door closed. Waited five minutes standing around to check during non-busy time. Hotel did accommodate early check in request. A/C unit in room was quiet. Ini-room coffee was good. Parking was $39 additional. "Free" wi-fi was $24 unless you went through an endless online process to join a preferred member club. All in all, disappointing for a room that was about $349 Canadian. Would not return.
Great hotel - absolute mayhem around the Montreal core with traffic and construction.
Pascal at the front desk is excellent, great location if visiting for work.
Amazing hotel and super convenient specially I took the train to come here and it’s in the same building!
The staff are either very nice and attentive or horrible; particularly the female on the front desk.
We try to stay at a Fairmont property when we travel. Best hotel all around.
Great location etc, however the service is average at best.
Great location for getting out and about
Fairmont always the best!
I have no complaints let me say. We’ve stayed at plenty fairmonts and quality is top notch. This one is just the same, clean rooms, prompt customer service and good food
close to train station and sites in downtown Montreal
The room was small, some peeling paint, hot water took a couple minutes to warm up. The pillow was ripped and broken curtain
We have stayed here on a few occasions for business/pleasure and enjoyed our stay. However, we only wish there was a better option for a breakfast. Thank you.
Was very clean and friendly
Mauvaise vu, chambre petite, seulement une douche, dispendieux, beaucoup d attrape argent
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at the Fairmont! I reserved 3 rooms to find out that they sold 2 of rooms and the hotel had no more rooms available. We had to sleep in our cars because we had no where to sleep. The manager told me that the rooms were not reserved and when I showed him the email confirmation he took my phone deleted the email and told me there was no email with my confirmation. I had to go get the email in my deleted items to show him only for him to tell me that it was not his problem and to contact Expedia. On top of all of this the Fairmont is refusing to reimburse for the rooms that I did not get and they are calling it a no show! I do not think I will ever book at a Fairmont again.
Beds very comfortable. Walls are thin - no privacy in the bathroom and could hear neighbours talking. Bathroom fan did not work . Light bulb missing on the bed . Had to pay for wifi and for keeping luggage safe for a few hours after check out . (These items are free in hotels close by .) Hotel is overrated at $400 plus for a small 2 bed room .

nice
Fantastic stay as always. Only thing I’d say is they need to get more security. We encountered an addict in the Miri g that had clearly slept on the conference floor. My wife felt quite unsafe in the elevator with him
Great rooms, and layout. We had the junior suite. No microwave was a down fall. Also, personal use of mini fridge is subject to a fee which is something that is unmentioned. My second time staying, it’s in a great location.
Amazing
Very convenient location with plenty of coffee/dining options. Super helpful staff!
Great hotel
Peaceful
Very much enjoyed
Long line at check in with staff standing around talking.
Amazing service and amenities. only issue technology in room was outdated -tv / music / using mobile with tv didn’t work.
Good location. Hotel is outdated. They charged us the full price of the room again even though we had paid in full since we used Expedia to book.
The location was ideal for our venue
Lock to room didn't work, 4 trips to front desk to make new keys to no avail. security took lock apart at 11:30pm. not a good experience.
Pleasant stay with great view
Mattresses were great, connected to Gare Centrale, walking distance to many restaurants (Dunns was delicious). Room was modern and updated, hallways were refreshed (8th floor). Apparently they have a barbie room.
Great check in. Great atmosphere. Great place to stay
Very clean and convenient. Price of hotel was fair. price of additional services extreme.
Great time
Had major bathroom issues AFTER I complained about noise coming from toilet. Had to be moved
Service and room cleanliness is superb!
Been staying here for years. Disappointed today with a $350 room where they wanted to have me pay an extra 16.40 for internet. Really! Do better.
Great location and beautiful city, but the price was way too expensive for the room we stayed in. The room was very small and very typical at an upscale price. We try and stay once a year, but this will be the last year unless prices improve dramatically.
Need to work on staff

Couples retreat
We were here in Montreal for the Davis Cup tennis match. We always stay at the Fairmont. Even though the hotel has an ongoing labour dispute, the staff that are working made up for the disruption. They made my wife’s birthday weekend a success. Thank you.
