This hotel is really beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful and the views are wonderful. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location

Room door were bad. It didnt lock properly air kept moving the doors and they changed my room at 1 am at night and one day i cudnt figure out what was happening

Our Room was spacious and renovated. Beautiful view and can't wait to return.

Close walk to things to do.

Very sexy property. Parking was very hard to find and valet simplified it. It did take us a while to be seated for a drink and get our valet, but overall gorgeous property.

Our stay was lovely. Service was great and very prompt. Our room on the 5th floor did not have cery good water pressure in the shower which was unfortunate, but all in all was a nice stay.

It’s nice to try this historic hotel, but not worth it

Service was very slow, understandably with the elevators but when food arrived at our room is was very cold

Clean and friendly staff. Elegant building with charm. We stayed in February and the old windows were very drafty which made us crank the heat.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. You could tell that our room had been recently redone, it was very nice. We enjoyed the spa and all it had to offer. Great way to spend a couple's day away. The food was fantastic in the lounge. The only drawback is that there is a conference room right above and it is not sound proofed. The music from the event was drowning out the nice soft music in the lounge. Besides that, everything was fantastic!

Unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre

Facility is nice, staff are nice. Was not able to get room service. The phone did not connect to them and the front desk could not reach them either. Had to end up ordering take out food. Unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre.

Our stay was amazing. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Thank you fairmont for making my visit a great one.

Everything here is so clean and nice. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and professional, best hotel we have stayed at in Edmonton

A lot going on for just one nice.. Weird mechanical high pitch noise in the walls. had to switch rooms.. the walk back and forth with the parking confusion. that walk through the alley way sketchy as well and dirty. dead lady bugs near curtains and wall.

I have been staying at Fairmont MacDonald for my winter staycation since 2017. I am so happy to see the hotel's many improvements in sustainability. Keep up the great job! I am also delighted to meet Hendrix. He is such a friendly and adorable dog. I loved everything about the hotel and the wonderful hospitality of all the staff on the Fairmont Gold floor. I am looking forward to more winter staycations there.

We really enjoyed the size of the rooms and the waitress in the lounge. Valet parking was great!

Beautiful large room, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and great bar room.. but it was cold throughout the hotel and the steak at dinner was tough!

Room was very quiet, so beautiful and perfectly maintained. Customer service was outstanding, above average and at absolute luxury level. Hotel, amenities and staff are absolutely outstanding. This hotel is luxury at its finest.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Macdonald! We had busy days so took advantage of the room service meals. Food was wonderful and staff was great!

Beautiful iconic Fairmont hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Supper in the Harvest room was excellent. Our Son commented that it was the best steak he ever had!

Hotel is beautiful if aged. My room had cracks in ceiling and wall chipped badly. Clean. Comfy beds. Nice shower. Breakfast delicious. Lounge food bland and stale and very overpriced. Great pet service, love that they have a hotel dog

Lovely stay

High quality finishings in the room and hotel. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor and amenities. Our room was fairly quiet, however if you are a light sleeper and there will be parties or events going on at the hotel, consider requesting a room on one of the mid or high level floors. There was a xmas party going on Friday night and we could hear the music in our room on the 2nd floor. I would stay here again, though. Very beautiful and convenient location with lots of history!

Staff is always great. Resteraunts are fantastic.

We recently stayed at the Fairmont Hotel, and Homeyra at the service desk made our visit unforgettable. She went out of her way to find us a fantastic room upgrade we hadn’t known about, giving our trip an extra-special start. This was our second stay here, and once again, Fairmont exceeded our expectations. Big thanks to Homeyra and the wonderful team for making our experience so memorable!

View and location relative downtown facilities is excellent. We just walked to the Citadel as planned. My friend who was with me had never seen the river valley like that.

For the money we paid we were placed in an old not updated room. Old windows no view. Not worth the money. Have stayed in more comfortable three stars.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly, overall had a wonderful experience and would stay again.

Terrible check in.

Check in was terrible. Official check in is 3:00 pm. We arrived around 3:30 pm. We were told our room was not ready and would be ready in about 30 minutes. Our room was still not ready 45 minutes later. The front desk then said it would be another 20 minutes or so. I then said unacceptable as we had an upcoming commitment. Front desk then gave us a different room. Unbelievable for a fine hotel.

Overall room was ok but noisy cleaning staff and maintenance/construction from within the hotel made for an unrestful sleep in.

Easily the best place I have ever stayed in Alberta. It was an absolute pleasure, my family and I had a great time.

Sauna and pool area not bad but not like other Fairmonts. Otherwise great stay.

Made my short stay very welcoming.

I was sick and the manager told me to hurry up as I was projectile vomiting in the bathroom. Then she made me stand outside in the freezing cold to wait for my uber because I wasn’t a guest and couldn’t be inside the property.

Absolutely beautiful. I did not expect much to do in Edmonton... So I planned a full day here and there.... Art Gallery, Legislation Building, museum, west Edmonton mall etc....

basement and amenities need renos, staff are all amazingly nice and accommodating from check in to restaurant and amenities front desk. the terrace is my perfection and beautiful.

Our family had a great time at this hotel! Great service and the pool was fun for the kids. The location is great as well. The only issue was that the air conditioner fan in the room was way too loud when it was turned on.

Excellent check in check out. The pool and hot tub were great. Staff were excellent.

I enjoyed every minute I stayed in your hotel not to mention the beautiful view of the river from my room. The staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend you to my friends and family.

Our stay initially was fantastic. The food service staff were amazing. But when we checked out we had a difficult time. We paid with gift cards and they were not processed properly. We then had a deposit for the room held on our credit card for over a week and we are still dealing with this. The manager was also really rude and short with us. I made a formal complaint. I won’t be going back to the Edmonton location again.

These hotels never disappoint

The rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was newly renovated and clean, We stayed over a summer weekend and the hotel was quite busy with a wedding etc. very congested with vehicles outside the front doors for most of our stay - valet parking was appreciated. I didn’t find the front desk staff especially helpful and was left with the impression our single room booking wasn’t worth any effort on their part. So - the hotel is lovely but the staff seem to cater to large groups preferentially. Nice walking access to the river and surrounding parks. Downtown feels a little unsafe after dark.

Room was clean we had a great view of the river, the staff were very helpful and friendly, service was amazing!

Beautiful hotel. Our host checking in was amazing. The beds were so comfortable and the view from our room was great. The food at the restaurant was delicious! There was an event and left the bathroom and far end of the grounds with some garbage on it and also in the bathroom on the lower floor. I called to ask some questions before arriving, the male person that answered was a little abrupt. But other than that. Our stay was great!

We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to visit again!

Fairmont is always outstanding

The Fairmont Hotel McDonald is a great hotel. The service is 5 star and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The shower in the room could be a little bit better. But overall the things were great
