Excellent breakfast & great, friendly helpful staff

We loved the free shuttle service. Not only will they pick up from the airport but they provide free service to downtown San Antonio. Very convenient & timely. Breakfast was a good variety of hot & cold items.. Cookies in the late afternoon. ALL of the staff were very friendly & helpful. We stayed for a week.

We had a good experience staying in Fairfield Inn. Hotel was not super new but very clean and mantained. Staff was very friendly. Hotel parking was free and was about a 20-ish walk towards the river walk. Many options at a walking distance close to the hotel. Or you could rent yourself a VEO or BIRD scooter to get to places. Would definitely consider staying again.

Absolutely one of the best hotel stays we have had in a long time! Very clean, bed was amazing, and breakfast had lots of options. We will definitely be staying again on our next trip through San Antonio area!

The property was fine, from my room there was more street traffice noise than I care for.

We use this hotel whenever we have medical appts in the San Antonio area. Located in an area close to a mini HEB. Good breakfast. Good location. If you're open to walking around, then it's great for exploring around the area. Staff is courteous and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are clean, spacious, good linens and toiletries.

Appreciated free parking and shuttle service to Riverwalk and Market. Both important when visiting San Antonio.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield. We walked to Market Square, the Riverwalk and the evening light show at San Fernando Cathedral. Close to the H.E.B. grocery store. Shuttle was a plus.

Clean, comfortable but disappointed.

The hotel was clean and, for the most part, comfortable with the exception of a few things; the water in the shower never got hot, only lukewarm, the bathroom floor tile needed re-grouting, and some repairs around the shower were messy looking. My main issue was that we were charged for a full night stay when we hadn’t stayed that night because our flight was cancelled due to weather. We explained that we had no control over our flights and wouldn’t be able to check in until the next day. The hotel refused to allow us to adjust our reservation and when we showed up the next day (as we told the hotel when we would be there), they had cancelled our entire reservation and charged us more money to create a new reservation for the rest of our stay.

I arrived really late from games all day; rep stated I had no reservation. Gave an attitude when he stated I was ripped off by Expedia. Then said I needed to buy another night. After 15-20 of going back and forth, he found it. The room was dirty

The staff was helpful & friendly. The rooms were clean, nice beds no smell when we got inside. Brandon, at the front desk, Carlos & Nick shuttle drivers were especially helpful & had a pleasing personality.

The shower faucets were tricky and did not allow enough hot water. The room wasn’t cleaned/serviced even I informed the maid service that the room was ready to be cleaned at 11 AM while leaving the property for the city day tour. When returned at night, nothing was cleaned or replenished.

Friendly staff. The space for toiletries in the bathroom needs to be bigger. It was just a small table. Also need a hook or bar to hang towels.

It wasn’t near downtown but it has a shuttle that takes you to the heart of downtown with consistent drop offs and pick ups. Shuttle even goes to the airport. Has a daily hot breakfast that was good and convenient. Executive king room was large, with a separate sitting area with television. The room felt like an apartment, not just one room. Staff was very helpful and the hotel has an overall clean feel. Would definitely book again and highly recommend. Budget friendly with a hint of luxury. The bedding was luxurious! Crisp white, down bedding and sheets.

We had a good stay and would stay here again. It was a 3 day trip. Nice clean room, great service with the exception of 1 very grumpy breakfast staff that clearly does not value customer service. Nick was an exceptional shuttle staff person, he gave us great recommendations and information! 1 negative was ants by windows—counters in breakfast area. We just moved to a table.

Love how this hotel provides a shuttle to the riverwalk. Would’ve taken advantage if we didn’t have a long night of driving prior. This hotel was incredibly convenient with a decent price and friendly service! Would absolutely come here again in the future!

The room was comfortable and spacious. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. The shuttle pick up from the airport was extremely slow so I ended up paying for a uber instead.

This was our second time staying here, and we’ll stay here again in the future. The room was nice and quiet. The location is great—easy to walk to the Riverwalk, free parking, and there’s an HEB close by in case you need something.

Awesome staff. Cleaner than clean! Walkable to Riverwalk but it would be a little much if you have health issues. Breakfast was good. Did not have time to enjoy the hot tub or pool but it looked inviting.

Ok Place to stay in San Antonio

Staff friendly. Bed comfortable. Reason I picked is free parking. I hate waiting on valet to get my car. Would give higher score if the fire alarm hadn’t gone off twice waking us up. Never got explanation. Also we stayed Friday and Saturday. No one emptied trash or made beds or supplied clean towels. This isn’t cheap hotel. Road construction nearby made it difficult to get around town.

Front desk staff was great and housekeeping was very helpful. Breakfast options were great. Hotel was central to everything.

Average & as expected.

The shower at this place did not had hot water. We called the front desk to report it. They sent maintenance but he didn’t fix it. We also asked them to clean the room but they never did. I will not recommend this hotel

Very nice quiet room and comfy bed. Staff was very helpful. The shuttle to Riverwalk was awesome as it was very hot out. Breakfast room had many options. I was able to use the pool at the sister property across the parking lot. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location and has everything you need for a local stay in San Antonio. All of the front desk staff, especially Brynn were so nice and helpful. The breakfast was always hot and fresh. The rooms are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, but they were decent. Would definitely stay again.

The stay was very good. The staff are great and the shuttle was most helpful. My only issue was the shower head/water pressure. It took a long time to get the shampoo out of my hair. Everything else was excellent

The stay was great and the location was great. I will say the parking sucks because it shares the lot with like three other hotels or sister properties but a little walking didn't hurt because it beats paying to park. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and fresh sheets and towels. Noise level was great. Breakfast area is small for the amount of people.

I Booked a king room through Expedia. When I got there they only handicapped accessible room. The very rude fronts desk person told me since I booked through a third party there was nothing they could do to change it. The room was across from the kitchen. It was loud noisy everyday of my stay at 530am-1000am. The room had tons of hair that was not mine. There was a weird smell to the room. Would not recommend.

Loved the proximity to the market square, Riverwalk and the Pearl

Walls a little thin. Could hear kids next door. Fairly clean, except dust on floors and doors. Elevator very slow. Plenty of hot water. No bar in shower.

The hotel seems old and there was a smell in our room. AC unit was noisy and breakfast was not good. Area in dining was also very small. No space to sit.

It was very affordable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, there was some arguing near our room in the middle of the night. It was very loud and went on for a few hours. The hotel was nice, but that made the rest of the stay feel very uneasy.

They don’t do the cleaning, if you plan to stay to rest, forget it, you will need to do your own bed and take your trash off from the room. I don’t understand why hotels continue doing this, I went with my kids and you can imagine all the mess in the room, after a long day visiting the city, you returned to a room that is not clean, we even asked in the front desk that please help us at least with the beds and they just ignored our request, just for that I will not return no that hotel.

It was a quite and nice place to stay.

Front staff was very friendly and nice. They were prompt to respond to my requests. Breakfast was very tasty and delicious! Loved the quietness of the hotel. Great stay!

I made a reservation for king size bed but they gave me queen size bed. When I complain to the front desk there says that it is a king size bed but indeed it is a queen size bed and finally they said okay we are sorry and we cannot do anything for you

We stayed 2 nights, the room was not cleaned after the first night. That’s not acceptable. Also my wife had to clean the toilet at our arrival as it had some dried up feces which leaves much to be desired.

I loved that it was clean, they offered free parking, and free breakfast.

We'd Stay Again

This was a great stay. It was almost an excellent experience except for housekeeping knocking on our door the morning of our check-out, even though we had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. They knocked prior to our check-out time and I thought it was a bit inconsiderate, especially since they were already making so much noise in the hallway and knocking on other doors. I would suggest that if you have to clean a room that will be vacated, wait until the actual check-out time to do so if there is a sign on the door. Otherwise, our stay was great. The beds were comfy and the room was comfortable. I love that the parking was free and we were able to actually walk to some of the places we were going. The gentlemen that checked us in were pretty nice and cordial. The breakfast was good and offered a few options. There were only pork options for meat, which I don't eat, so I would suggest some turkey or beef options. Otherwise, great stay! I would stay here again.

Great place and very affordable

I was in town for a concert at the Alamodome. I had a great time, my stay was enjoyable. Staff was friendly & helpful. I was given first floor so it was easy to use side door and not have to go through the front every time. Room was clean and in order. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, lovely staff. The only criticism is the lack of tables for breakfast. We had to take ours back to our room because the space isn't big and doesnt accommodate many people.

Very friendsly and helpful staff! We especially liked the shuttle service, both from the airport and to Riverwalk and back. We used it several times. Carlos was our driver and was great!

Nothing unique but it was a great stay.

Was great until we came back on the third night to roaches in the room. Checked out on a Saturday night and drove 9 hours back home rather than stay and be grossed out. It’s been 5 days, and the hotel manager still hasn’t contacted me.

Clean and quiet. Professional and friendly staff. Comfortable bed with sparkling linens. Nice large TV.
