The staff at this hotel are the best I have ever met. Our plane arrived early, we were exhausted, they quickly put together our room and without even asking created early check in. The property is minutes from everything. The room was fantastic.
Nice Hotel, excelent location, a lot of restaurant around, The staff was nice and very good breakfast, I consider is a good deal for the price, totally recomended
Great location and friendly staff
The hotel was clean but it has one problems the rooms are to small specially the shower very small
The rooms were outdated and carpeting was a little dusty
No comment
Internet poor. Rooms dark and tiny. Not very friendly. Never again
Good location.
Great location for sightseeing, staff welcoming and fantastic breakfast available. Only issue was that the window in the room did not open and no air conditioning. Would stay there again.
Great location walkable to attractions (15min). Rooms are pretty basic but good value for money.
We went in to check in and did not stay, the place was dirty
I got to the hotel late at 10 pm and the night clerk wasn’t helpful. Especially when I said what time is breakfast which is included in my stay. He said no it’s not included and you have to pay 12 euros a day extra if you eat there. He didn’t even want to see my reservation, he said I don’t show it on my end. The room first he gave me was not air conditioned so I had to go back down and tell him we need to change the room after him saying I don’t have anymore room and me saying I will contact Expedia, finally he said I have a room and that’s the only one. The room was very small, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and was covered just with one sheet not comforter, in the bathroom there was just a face towel and one for body and they were both very thin and rough. I will never go back there again . On the last day when I was checking out in the morning, the front desk lady asked if I was satisfied? I laughed and said apparently you guys don’t talk to each other and I told her about breakfast. She said I am so sorry, it doesn’t show on our reservation that breakfast was included but when I go to Expedia, it shows that breakfast is included. I told her how unsatisfied I have been and I am happy I am leaving. Good bye Sherry
Location, location, location!!! The hotel is located downtown at a very convenient location with most major attractions being 10-20 min away walking distance. About 6-7 min walk from Roma Termini. There were plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and coffee shops nearby. Definitely will book again next time I'm in Rome
Terrible.
Don’t stay here when it’s hot. Air conditioning did not work.
A nice attentive hotel close to the center. Recommended.
Lovely, helpful staff and a great location, for all attractions. Some nice restaurants within 2 mins of the hotel. Rooms were good with good air conditioning. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety and very good
Please remember to check what room you booked as they might give you a very different room. We checked in around 8pm after a long flight and the rooms we were given were in very poor condition and very small. It was quite shocking as there was barely any space to put luggages and looked not at all like a 4 star hotel. The room looked very different to the one I booked. After ten minutes, I reviewed my booking and went down to talk to Gary, the receptionist and mentioned how the room was not what we booked and showed him the photos. He then innocently asked “do you want this room?” And of course I answered yes as I want the rooms I booked and not the cramped poor ones. He then asked one of his colleagues to take us upstairs to look at another room before we moved up there. It was still not the room we booked as the dimensions of the room in the booking were bigger but was a lot better. The room was very decorated and was a lot more spacious. At the point we were so tired that we accepted the rooms. They should give you the exact room that you booked and we were absolutely not happy with this.
Great location right on one of the shopping street, easy 15 minutes walk to the Trevi Foneton. Very friendly and helpful staffs, nice and quiet area. Nice breakfast with variety selections. The bed is a bit soft, but the room is at very good size, like the timber floor inside the room and the little balcony with some breeze. Like the hotel lobby with all the Italy painting. The bathroom is clean. Overall like this hotel with location, breakfast and very friendly staff
In the heart of it all in Rome.
The best aspect of my experience staying at Exe was being greeted by the warm smile and friendly disposition of one staff member-Rene at breakfast. The location was also fine. The rest of the stay was mediocre and unsatisfactory. The internet was extremely slow and unreliable and since I required a reliable internet service for work, this was unacceptable. There were also not enough power sockets available, so this was inconvenient. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Also, it was the first hotel I ever stayed where the basics were not provided-these include a kettle, with tea/coffee and no ironing board. This is unusual since even 2 star hotels provide this. Also expedia advertised that the hotel provides laundry which was one of the reasons I chose the hotel but there were no laundry facilities. The breakfast itself was ok but the bread offered was stale. I would seriously advise expedia to review it's 4 star rating as the hotel is definitely not 4 star-a very weak 3 star is the best I can say.
not the best stay
staff were really friendly and helpful. breakfast was also really good. bed comfy and aircon was just adequate.rooms small , look nice but not well maintained, bathroom door handle/lock fell off, extending mirror fell off, shower didn’t drain properly and looked full of previous clients hair. next door being worked on and hammer drills started at 9am even though it was quite all afternoon.
Good location, very nice upscale entrance, bed was comfortable, housekeeping was good . Staff helpful AC worked great . Room was a bit small , ours was on the street side . But let’s be honest we were in Rome we explored the whole time and just used room to sleep . Plus we are both big people so maybe it just seemed small lol
The A/C was centrally controlled and they turned it off during the night.
When we check in we got room on the 6 floor. Room had smell and ripped carpet. We changed room with no carpet. Room was much better. Hotel is old. Breakfast was not good. But service was fine
Air conditioning was controlled from the hotel and they turned it off in the evening and we were boiling in the room. I had to go down to reception to check about it because no answer to my calls from the room. I’m not recommending this property to anyone and I won’t be back again.
Location location
Lovely hotel central for everything Within walking distance Nice staff
Certainly not a 4 star hotel. At best a mediocre 3star. Bed was as hard as the floor, the fire alarm had a constant flashy light right above the bed, the back of the wardrobe was damaged, the bathroom was not clean. Do not stay here if you want a 4 star hotel
Good location and friendly staff
Don’t stay here!
Bed was lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. Only two outlets in the entire room. Tiny room taken up mostly with the bed. Bathroom small with no space for toiletries. I would never stay here again. Great location though. Staff very unfriendly,
A
Good location but tiny room
Good central location . Easy access to train and subway system. Good buffet breakfast ,A very tiny room as expected in Europe. Needs fine tuning as bathroom door would not stay closed and shower head very harsh. Kleenex in bathroom was never replaced. Room was extremely hot and leaving window open throughout the night was too noisy air conditioner was not on. Was the most expensive throughout our stay Italy. Not worth the cost.
Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff at desk were always polite and helpful. The daily breakfast was a great way to start our day. Location was very convenient to train and historic sites. There were numerous cafes in the area, and nearby Ambrosia restaurant is recommended, especially their heavenly lemon dessert!
Unforgettable
Nice hotel in a nice area , loved the old style which matches the area .
Fantastic stay at EXE International Palace. Very centrally located by all sights in Rome. Easily walkable to Rome Termini. Breakfast had an absolutely fantastic spread! Will definitely recommend to anyone going to Rome.
Liked the location
Location
Needed updating
The room was dated. Shower worked by turning taps so trying to get the correct temperature was difficult and not a great head on the shower so not a lot of water or pressure. Staff was ok didn’t have much dealings with them but not overly friendly ?! For the same price I should’ve stayed at the best western !
Rome break.
Friendly and helpful staff. Requests actioned promptly. Convenient location for transportation and sightseeing. Very enjoyable stay.
Perfect location and friendly staff. I will be back.
Ok place, dated and better options available
The first day, the staff came to our room without knocking while we were napping. then the shower sink was clogged up notified front desk in the morning on the second day but didn’t fix it until second notification at night.
Very good location and service
Walkable to major touristic sites
Very good location, friendly helpful staff. Outdated room but clean, this was not an issue to us
The hotel is located in a very convenient area. It is in a large and prestigious building with a lovely entrance. The breakfast room looks terrible the impression is of a bar in a railway station (breakfast is good though) I would like to meet the architect...
Hotel was nice and clean. On a busy street with good walking access to tourist points. Street it’s on is not too clean or area surrounding but that’s not the hotels fault. breakfast was good.
I love the location
Last minute accommodations, and the staff was extremely friendly, but thats where the nice experience ends. No clue how this place has any good reviews. The more expensive room must be better. My wife and i stayed in the basic room, and the value was terrible. The room was small. The shower was claustrophobic. The water in the shower was constantly changing temperature. The bed was rock hard, and the pillows were paper thin. We both work up sore everyday. The bed had to be many years old. It had a hump in the middle of the bed, which implies to me that its FAR past needing to be replaced. The breakfast buffet cost 12€, it had bordeline raw bacon and hot dogs for 'breakfast sausages'. I hate to write a review like this, but the reviews we read did not prepare us for this place.
Great location. Clean comfortable and spacious rooms.
Very convenient location. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to be.
Everything was excellent
It was excellent
Good location, very clean.
Needs improvement overall
Good, clean, quiet, centrally located hotel. Friendly staff.
Great location! About a 15 minute walk from Roma Termini and close to the Pantheon. Has shopping and food on the same street. The bathtub is fantastic for bubble baths...best part of the room for sure!!
I really enjoyed the stay at the EXE. They gave me a free upgrade of a great room with rooftop balcony. Everything was great. The staff and facility
Friendly and very helpful hotel.
Travelling from Venice to Rome on the overnight InterCity train; I was exhausted in the early hours of the morning and was hoping to offload my luggage at the hotel before exploring. The reception staff were exceptional in allocating me a room to check into straight away. This allowed me to get a short nap for an hour, a shower and to get changed before exploring Rome on my first day. A shout out to Edoardo who is a great asset to the team but all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location for walking to all major tourist attractions. Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly staff.
Great location, friendly staff always with a smile, gorgeous hotel
Great location. Central of the city and the price is reasonable.
I’ve heard rumours that hotels put clients booking thru Expedia in the lesser rooms and this may have been true. Our first night was a cramped room with hardly any space around the bed, and down a long, tattered hallway. After a small water leak I asked for a different room and staff put us in a beautiful, spacious and well appointed room. Night and day - the one constant was poor wifi (but that was everywhere in Rome). I’d recommend but ask to ensure you are happy with the room.
Habitaciones muy pequeñas!!, y un poco ruidosas
Staff was great
👍👍👍
Fantastic value for money & Excellent Breakfast!!
The hotel was in an excellent location - a walk away from the Colluseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. The hotel was very clean and had a mini fridge - perfect for keeping your drinks nice and cold for when your back in the room. The air conditioning was excellent! The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing - very clean, organised with label's & tongues to grab food. The selection was fantastic several types of breads, cooked foods, hams, cheeses, cakes, pastries, yogurts, fruits, hot drinks, cold drinks etc - an absolute bargin for the price and how fresh everything was! I would highly recommended this hotel.
Great price & location!
I am so happy I only had to spend 1 night in this hotel. The WIFI was not working for most of the time. Also, the key to get into the room kept malfunctioning. There were empty carts left in hallways overnight.... Name contains "Palace", but the hotel is everything but that.
Nice and clean place, friendly staff and good location within walking distance from many of the main benchmarks in Rome.
Great location, staff helpful, late check-in with no problem. Close to train, and convenient for sightseeing.
Hotel in the Heart of the Rome
The hotel is located in central and very convenient however rooms are small and not that comfortable. It didn't bother us since we had no kids and it was only two of us.
Close to main attractions but room was very small that I expected. Tv is not well located.
No Internet! Overpriced. Bad hotel
No Internet! Overpriced. Bad hotel, no Internet, no breakfast space. Horrible experience.
Pleasant, Minimalist Stay Near All The Action
This was so affoardable and very close to major attractions in Rome. The front desk staff at this property is so wonderful, helpful, kind and professional. The rooms are very dated and small. But the bed was very comfortable. If you plan to spend your days exploring rome then it doesnt matter that the room is small. If you are the type that spends alot of tine in your room then this may not be the best space for you
Great location but don’t bank on the WiFI
The location is great but the Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the room considering Covid and most things have to be pre booked in advance this was a pain also the shower and toilet need attending too they were very wobbly!!! Staff were friendly.
Hotel is nice, convenient location. Comfy bed and great shower. Wifi was horrible. If you need important stuff done through e mail or wifi, you have to go to the lobby.
The room is very small and mattress was too hard .
first I needed to use the internet to do a few hours of work he couldn't use the internet because the internet never worked either in the room or at the front desk. It was difficult to sleep because the mattress was too hard I felt like I was sleeping on the floor.
The staff was very helpful and was always there to help to for fill the needs of the guest. The room was cleaned everyday and the whole Hotel was clean. If you know how to book on orbitz and can read the square feet data, you know how big your room is, We booked a big room and were very happy with it. The Hotel is located near the train station, so can take the train from the airport. Also also the sights are in walking distant, Colosseum, Forum-Romun, Steps .... A good choice to stay. If
The breakfast was good value and was fairly good quality food . Plenty of options at the buffet breakfast.
Very very small room tough to fit even the luggage/ bags and in bathroom is smaller than telephone both where you can only stand straight
Nice stay
The stay was comfortable, clean hotel. Great location near the metro or bus to get to the main attractions. Staff was really friendly as well.
The hotel is a bit outdated and could do with being updated. The carpets in the rooms are quite threadbare. the windows are rotten and rattle all night. The shower went from hot to cold with no warning. would not stay again.
There was so much about the property that we liked. Quiet (though dull) room, great service, wonderful, varied breakfast and very convenient location. The only (but significant) negative was the shower. It was so strangely set up. It was basically impossible to shower normally and not end up with a lot of water on the floor.
This Hotel is in a great location for most of Rome’s attractions, the staff are friendly, the bedrooms and bathrooms are all ok and met my expectations for the price point,. My only negative point is the lack of an attractive space to sit or have a casual drink. However, I would stay here again as the good points certainly outweighed the negatives.
Great location and very friendly staff-walking distance to most of the tourist attractions
Good location. Could have had a better bar area. My Room was a bit small and the shower leaked over the bathroom floor and the shower head gave uneven spray.
Decent and clean place. I had no issues so no complaints. Wi-fi worked. Great area that was easily accessible to public transportation and most tourist sites. I wish breakfast was included though.
Liked the location ,the staff ,the breakfast. No coffee facility in the room or a coffee place in the hall .
The hotel overall was pretty good and would love to stay there again if I visit Rome again
Very central ,friendly staff, good value for money. Only 2 problems. 1. No hot water in shower when we went to have a shower but this was fixed promptly. 2. Tv in the bedroom didn’t work during the whole trip. Report to staff but nothing appeared to be done. This in no way effect our stay in this lovely clean well managed hotel. We will be back I am sure if in Rome
Great location the staff was awesome and very helpful.
Great staff and a lovely hotel. However this morning the cold water in the taps was hot, even the toilet flush water was hot so we could not shower. Room 606.
the location is perfect..the breakfast very good..staff excellent ..only un room we need more outlets..
We booked our flights and hotel to Rome through Expedia, however on the morning we were due to fly, Easyjet sent an email saying they had cancelled the flight! I spoke to Expedia who liaised with the EXE Palace Hotel and they would not refund us the £400 for the hotel rooms. Given that the cancellation was not our fault, I’m very disappointed with the hotel and when we do book to go to Romr again, we will not be staying there!
Excellent location for all the major attractions in Rome. The room was very clean and the staff were first class. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Rome
Good location. Great breakfast selection Clean rooms Helpful reception
Bathroom shower was very small. Only 1 free electrical outlet available to charge phones and it was also near room entrance
The lobby was the best part. The service was excellent but the rooms were just ok
The hotel have some issues with the elevators but not a big thing. The staff is great. The location is excellent, just take around 10-15 minutes walking to Trevi Fountain and the Colesseum.
