Good location and friendly staff. Although this didn’t bother me, it could be a bit noisy at night due to some night walkers on the street.
EXEDomus is in a convenient location, has a nice breakfast, and rooms are clean although quite tight. It’s on the safer side of the train station and there are some decent restaurants nearby. Always be careful in the neighborhood, but don’t forget to visit the National Roman Museum and Diocletian Baths literally across the street! Well worth it!!
The location was great for us, being near the station. There were little shops around. Showers were very small/cramped.
Very tiny room, bathroom tiniest
Stuffs are friendly. Room is clean. Close to train station but a little far away from city center.
The hotel was in a good location, not too far of a walk to most areas of interest, very close to train station. There was some good dining in the area, and access to taxi to get around. The staff at the hotel seemed interested in helping with accommodations and for submitting dinning and shopping options. Luca at the front desk exceeded our expectations in every way, such a great attitude and very pleasant. We would stay there again for the location, rooms seemed a little small.
Convenient and clean
Conveniently located to main train station and walking distance to major sightseeing, this hotel offers great value for money.. The reception area is kind of dated but the rooms are very clean, bed is comfortable and breakfast is very delicious. There are few restaurants at the bottom of the hotel..
Accessible to Termini, several restaurants near and a great sandwich shop. Room was clean and updated.
Central location
No
We only stayed one night to catch a train the next day. The room we had was very small you could barely fit two people in it, so it wasn't great to relax. Reception staff were nice but we wouldn't stay there again.
Clean, Basic, And Close To The Train Station
This is a good, basic hotel in walking distance from Termini train station. I frequently stay here if I'm just in Rome overnight and am either arriving late by train or departing early by train. If you have a flight from Fiumicino airport you can walk to the train station and take the Leonardo Express right into the airport. The hotel is simple but clean. It is definitely no frills, but if you want a basic, clean placce to stay close to the train station you can't go wrong with this one.
Good choice!
Efficient check-in, clean, modern room, useful extras eg tissues in mid price hotel. Definitely use again.
The water pressure in the bathrooms are very low..
A/C was terribly inadequate. Could not keep room cool enough.
Property is close to Termini Station and loads of amenities near by. For instance supermarkets, mini markets and loads of places to eat!
All was fine, good location, breakfast, clean comfortable room
Nice place, friendly staff, and great location. My room was a little small and without a desk, but very clean and nicely maintained. Good value, good service.
Very close to Termini station, 7 mins walk. A small room but very clean and it got the job done. Friendly people
Next time in Roma, Exe Domus I will choose
Excellent hotel, highly recommended.
When in Rome.....
I'm so glad I found this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us many recommendations and tips while we wers there. Also, with a bus stop right out front and the main train station as well as subway station 5 min walk around the corner, we were able to easily use the public transportation to see a great majority of the Roman historical sights.
Must look at feedback before booking this hotel
Receptionist was terribly rude. Worst ever
The property was great the staff was amazing. Easy walking distance to the Termini train station, little shops open till basically 2 am across the street to get snacks, pop, and beer.
Nice
The small single room was really good for one nights stay. For a longer stay it would've been a bit too small for me. I slept nicely and the staff was nice. There's a city tax of 4 euros per night that you have to pay when you check-out.
Steps to train
Joshua and staff are helpful just ask
Customer services very poor, front desk attendant Antonio when arrived was very rude,, without education.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and tidy.
The location near the station is great. The service is not. I stayed on the first floor. When upper level room showered, water leak thru the ventilation and drips down onto my room with the floor and luggage all wet. I have to notify the front desk twice. They just clean up during normal cleaning. The next day, it leaks again indication it was not fixed. The hotel did not offer room change or offer any compensation.
Breakfast is good for aditional 9 euro. Been asked to pay deposit 20 euro for safe box key. Bed is not comfortable. Will not recomend this hotel
THE place to stay in Rome.
Great place to stay. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Hotel is just a couple blocks from the train station, subways, buses and taxi's. Good prices, and clean. Great restaurant (La Familia) right around the corner.
Good hotel, walkable and nice street
Fantastic stay at EXE Domus hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff, would defiantly stay again
the hotel was fully booked although i booked at hotels.com. the send me exe world international.
Great little hotel by Termini station
This hotel is fantastic. Very inexpensive, 500m from train station, staff cool and friendly. My flight to Rome was delayed and I arrived too late to get the train to Florence. The hotel was able to get me in and they are open 24 hours so there was someone working the front desk when I arrived. They were a lifesaver!
first time at this hotel, very nice bathroom, lots of hot water in the shower, paid for a double since single rooms are so uncomfortable. listed as having coffee and tea set up, none in the room would be helpful to have instructions on the hvac.. particularly nice bfast room on the the roof with a view of the roof tops. extensive assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, cakes ……….and like most hotels only machine coffee. too bad, Italy is known for great coffee but i only find machine coffee even in the 4 stars i stay in. very convenient to the train station without being near the street people who are there at night great that they have a 11 am check out and bfast until 10...………..not all travelers want to start the day at 8 am!
Very good location near the bus stop and the termini. Near the national road and several attractions. Tasty breakfast with a beautiful view of the city.
Warm, comfortable, convenient for Termini.
We have now stayed here 3 times. The staff are most helpful and polite. The hotel is very close to Termini. Breakfast is wonderful in a room at the top of the building overlooking the rooftops of Rome.
good hotel near Roma Termini
good hotel near Roma Termini room is well clean breakfast is excellent, I love it staffs are very nice
Location is excellent!
Overall great!
The staffs were really frinedly and helpful, the brekfast was perfect, room was clean but the metress was not comefortable.
Convenient location
I had stayed there three previous times. Although the hotel staff is changed they were absolutely wonderful to us. There's a terrific restaurant right around the corner with very favorable prices.
Hotel on a very noisy road, also lots of smokers in hotel
Hotel in Rome
The reception staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. They helped us with finding our way around Rome, providing us with information, booking trips and so on. The cleaning staff and catering staff working in the breakfast room were all friendly, obliging and hard-working. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean as were our rooms. The hotel manager was also friendly and approachable. The staff are the hotel's greatest asset.
Great location, small room, good breakfast.
Walking distance to Rome Termini, apart from the room (particularly the bathroom) being a little small, good value at affordable rate.
I felt that the neighborhood at night turn threatening due to the presence of groups of young individuals. They walk on Via de Volturno till late hours at night having loud chats.
Good for Rome Termini
Very convenient to Rome Termini. Friendly staff. Excellent value.
Second time there and still a great place!
This is our second stay at the Exe Domus and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, clean hotel near the rail station. The rooms facing the street can be noisy but the double pane windows isolate the street noise well. The breakfast served on the roof top terrace is always a treat and the staff are always friendly. As this was our second time there, the staff had a bottle of Presecco waiting for us in our room. Nice touch. The hotel is located a ten minute walk from Termini Rail Station, a 20-25 minute walk to the Trevi-Pantheon Way and close to a grocery store and several nice restaurants.
Holiday accommodation
Initially a little unsure as to the area in Rome as this was near to the railway station however we found it to be an ideal base for our stay in Rome. It was within a few minutes walk from the railway station, Metro (underground) and bus station, so was a great base whichever mode of transport we used. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helped with booking some of the visits we wanted to take during our stay. Our room was sufficient in size, very clean with a comfortable bed, air con, mini fridge and en-suite facilites were excellent. For a central hotel in Rome this was a great value for money venue and the continental breakfast had the widest selection of food we had seen on our trip to Italy. This was our first visit to Rome and should we come again we would have no hesitation in booking at the EXE Domus Aurea.
Room is small, sound proving not good
Hotel Stuffs are very helpful, location is good for travel around the city, and it is clean.
Great location, very Average rooms, bad WiFi
1) Rooms - A very tiny washroom; you will really struggle not to break things. Poor sound proofing. You can hear movements of Guest around; good city views from the balconies (we had a corner room), Fridge present in the room. Kettle & Microwave at the Reception area 2) Location - Very close to the Main Train station (Roma Termini); this is also where both the Metro Lines of Rome converge. Most city attractions are within 2 Kms Radius; or else Metro/Buses can be used; best way to explore Rome is to Walk though 3) Hospitality - Helpful staff. Enthusiastic to share Travel Tips 4) WiFi - Very bad. Different connections, have to login again and again, we virtually had no network in our room 5) Breakfast - A very lavish spread for a 3 star; Cold Cuts, Scrambled Egg, Breads, Fruits, Fresh Mozzarella (worth a try), sweets, cakes, cookies, Yogurt & Tea/Coffee
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel. Only fault was rooms are very small & I would have liked more hot food variety at breakfast . Staff are very helpful. Rooms are perfectly clean. Take a room on the back if you want a quiet room as street noise noise can be heard at front. Excellent location if you want to be near termini yet not feeling too near or unsafe. 3 min walk.
Close to station great staff
Arrived very late at night check in was smooth. They advised that Expedia had requested a single bed, that was not my request, I had asked for twin doubles. Antonio the front desk mngr. was great through out my stay. He said that they would have a twin room in the morning and it was ready the next day, even offered to have someone move our suitcases. The room was cleaned daily and the bathroom was modern and all worked fine. Hotel was close to all transportation and 10 minute walk to Termini Station. The front staff went out of their way to help with all matters asked. Be advised that there is a 4 Euro charge per person per day that was not covered by the Expedia quote. Would recommend this hotel.
Decent hotel very close to Termini Station
An average budget hotel. Was quite good for the price, the location was excellent as it was close to Termini Station and thus made travelling around Italy very easy. It is also within walking distance of many sights.
We had a great stay. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Disappointing breakfast
Tinned fruit & olives, horrendous coffee, hard bread, diluted Orange juice....not a good start to any day and a real shame about the coffee considering we were in Italy!!!!!
small room but comfortable
the pictures did not represent the room we actually occupied. I ordered a king size bed and when we arrived couldn't believe how small the room was, barely enough room to walk around the bed, couldn't even open the small fridge, the bathroom was even smaller than a cruise ship's bathroom but adequate for our purpose. we walked the 2 blocks to the train station which puts you right at the coliseum which was our destination. the breakfast was the typical continental breakfast, nothing special. we opted for the hotel to pick us up at the airport and it was worth the fee.
Very nice hotel two blocks from Termini station.
Very clean, nice and comfortable hotel. It's very close to Termini, train, bus and metro station. Staff were very kind, helpful and everyone knew spanish which is my main language, which I need it very much because I don't know italian.j I stayed only for a day, but the room had place for clothes storage, a safe, a desk for the computer and a TV with lots of channels. Nice bathroom with a good shower and hot water (very important for me). Wifi was free and everywhere in the hotel. Only problem was that if you left your device without use, you had to login again. But it worked perfectly well.
Location location, location...
Staying in a city centre hotel makes for convenient sightseeing. We used the hop on/off bus for 2 days and walked in on the others. We visited all the usual sites in the city and went out to the Catacombs by Metro and bus. There was an excellent traditional family-owned restaurant just around the corner fom our hotel.
It was Fantastic. The location of the Hotel is excellent!!!
Ok for the price
nice breakfast; however the staff at the lobby in the evening was a bit rude.
Nice
Very good breakfast with very friendly people serving breakfast. Very convenient location as it is 300 metres Away from Termini station.. Overall good valué for money.
ideal
A very friendly people at the reception, small rooms and not all toilets includes bidet, but even though it is clean and practical. Poor breakfast.in general.. Perfect for the location and the price.
We had a large group, front desk staff were very patient with us!
Nice hotel
Hotel is easy walking distance from Termini train station. Hotel room very clean but not much storage. En suite facilities clean but compact. Ideal for a short stay. Staff speak English and very helpful.
A great boutique hotel
My second stay in this hotel over the years and it has been wonderful each visit. The breakfast is very nicely presented and inviting. The rooms are typically European in being small but are perfectly adequate, spotless and comfortable.
Clean and friendly, bit small.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Room and en suite on the small side with laminate floor showing signs of wear. Excellent breakfast with beautiful views over the city. Brilliant central location. All in all perfect for our short break in Rome.
Close to Termini but very noisy
This hotel was close to Termini and so very convenient. But...there was a lot of street noise and I couldn't sleep. The staff were pleasant and the hotel is clean enough but I wouldn't recommend it based on the noise factor.
Room 206
Upon arrival we were told that our room (206) had a king size bed - and upon entering the room we were not disappointed with that description - However, the bed may have been king-sized but the room!!! Let's just say there was less than a foot of space between the bed and the walls and we couldn't fully open the wardrobe because the doors hit the bed! Also, the adjoining rooms' bathroom was so noisy that we hear everything they were doing!
small rooms
It was kinda away from the main area but it was right by the train station, which is good and bad. Not much to do in the area but easy to hop on a bus. Staff was ok. Rooms were so small.
excellent hotel.
a really enjoyable stay at this 3 star hotel conveniently situated for the rail terminal. really helpful and pleasant staff, fantastic breakfast room with lots of choices, including scrambled eggs bacon and frankfurters,I dont rate the bacon, but everything else will not dissapoint you,i would definatly stay here again, the beds by the way are the most comfortable i have ever slept on,better than my own.
Great location, pleasant staff and very clean.
Staff were very helpful in helping us find our way around the city. Very close to Termini station. Room was bigger than expected given its city centre location.
Front desk was extremely hel full and friendly
Front desk personal made my stay very pleasant , thanks To Antonio, Alex and Paulo
Very accessible , close to the train station
Very friendly staff , the hotel is walking distance to many attractions, the train station and shopping area
Good Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff
Excellent breakfast. Nice room - small but very clean.
We had an amazing time staff were friendly
An amazing city to visit. Loads to see food great people very friendly, you need to be able as there is a lot of walking. Hotel was great with very helpful staff.
Our Roman Holiday
When I made my reservation last winter, I specifically searched for a hotel with a free breakfast. I thought I had one but was told that "I did not buy the meal plan". However, none was ever mentioned by the travel agency website. So when the cost for the breakfast is added to the room rate, it is not so good. Hotel location is excellent, near the subway & trains. My room was on 5th floor - no wake up call needed! The breakfast staff crashed around outside our door early every morning.
Really nice little hotel
We stayed in Rome for a long weekend and were really happy with the hotel. It was clean and welcoming and very close to the station and metro which was great for getting around easily. We're planning a return soon and will definitely be booking again.
Close to Termini Station
The staff were excellent throughout our stay, and very helpful. The room we were first put into was extremely tiny with a huge double bed, (you could have had a party in it) very comfortable (bed) though. I asked to change rooms, and they were quite happy to do this but couldn't until the following day, as they were fully booked. The following morning we went out for the day and as arranged we came back to a much larger room, and the bathroom was large enough to have a party in. Shower cubicles in both rooms was quite small, but I don't see this as a problem, (easy to work round). Wi fi was a bit of a problem but at least it's free, could only get a good signal in the reception area, I only wanted it catch up on FB and email and pre-book seats on plane so that was ok. All in all, an excellent tourist hotel, reasonable price (package deal). Would definitely recommend getting the larger room. Best regards Steve & Chris,
Good central location
For some strange reasons the last two nights we stayed there an inexplicable sawing and hammering noises started from the adjacent building around 2230 in the evening and went on for few hours. We were lucky that our room was not directly next to the building but one of the couples who was had a sleepless night. We complained to the receptionist and he went to investigate that some building works were carrying out in the adjoining building but the receptionist did not interven to stop it! Apart from that noisy interruption the hotel is in a very good location. The staff is well mannered and helpful. It is very handy to catch all the main hub of transports to all the major touristy sights. A short stroll to many eateries. La Familia is just behind the hotel and serve very good food and not as expensive as one thinks. In fact, those ones we visited are a lot cheaper than our locals. The room is cleaned but it lacks of space as expected. The aircond is a bit tricky to get used to. Not too sure if it meant to be worked like this but it goes on and off every 10-15 minutes all night. The breakfast restaurant up in the top floor under glasses has a lovely view across the city sky. It serves plenty of choices of continental breakfast.
Nice hotel, with great staff.
This hotel is very close to Termini and within walking distance to the Coloseum. The only downsides to the hotel was the poor hairdryer, lack of tea/coffee making facilities and the occasional noise outside the hotel. The staff were helpful and welcoming, the room was clean and modern, and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend!
Clean hotel with very helpful front desk staff
It is located very close to Termini Station ( only 5 min walk). Very clean hotel plus helpful and friendly front desk staff. My thanks to Ms Bogdana & Mr Antonio for their assistance during my stay.
Great location - worth every penny
The hotel was clean, organized and fresh. The room size was adequate, staff were friendly and helpful.
Friendly hotel close to station
One of the main pluses of this hotel was its breakfasts in its wonderful rooftop restaurant which had a sunny outdoor space for eating as well as a glass covered indoor space for cooler or wetter days - both with good views across Rome. The buffet breakfasts were excellent with fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, olives, tomatoes, etc., breads and pastries and hot plates of scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, aubergine and courgette, plus choices of fruit juices, teas and coffee. The only thing missing was bananas from the fresh fruit bowl. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing a kettle for us in our room with tea bags, cups, sugars etc. at no extra cost. They also gave us good recommendations of local restaurants for dinner - 3 good local ones nearby - not expensive. Our room was quite not overlooking the street. The hotel was very well placed for the centre of Rome - Termini station 5 mins walk away and many sights within walking distance.
Hotel Domus Aurea
Close to Termini (main station) clean, working air con and shower etc., good choice of hot and cold brakfast, self service in a nice roof top glass room, lovely. One complaint, rooms are small, lovely large bed bit it fills the room. I would use this hotel again. Good cleanliness, location, brakfast and good helpful staff. They gave excellent recomondations and helped me out of a problem.
Spontaneous Trip to Rome
Perfect hotel for location if you're coming to Rome for a few days. Very close to the main railway station so very easy to get to from the airport yet it's close enough to the main Rome attarctions that it's not difficult to get around at all. The hotel staff were really friendly and informative and booked us a table at a restaurant and a taxi when we decided to go out late one night. The room was really clean, as was the bathroom and was made up every day by the maids.I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a a weekend trip away to Rome. It was such great value! Try and hire a scooter from close to the hotel if you can (the receptionist pointed us in the right direction) as it's much more fun to get around and you can skip the hassle of using public transport or taxis.
Hotel near Termini in Rome
Hotel was fine, staff lovely, location convenient. Only downside was the room was a bit small
Small but comfy room
We had the double bed room and the bath room was small, shower could just about fit one person in it The hotel is cheap so i didn't expect much and it's a great place to stay over a few days to see rome
convenience is the key!
Convenient location - near to the main train station Roma Termini, food and walking distance to many sights.
Great location from Termini station
The staff were very helpful and always available. The location was perfect to access the train station and metro. The room was clean and other than a leaky shower stall, in good repair. Would stay there again.
aircondition is not cold enough
Staff friendly and helpful , hotel clean. Breakfast great. Close to termini so easy access to transport. Would stay again!
Tiny room but convenient location
It was my last day before flying home to Canada and I had one night in Rome. My suitcase was quite heavy and my main concern was to find a reasonably priced hotel, close to the Roma Termini train station and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. The hotel is only a couple of blocks from the train, and I didn't find it seedy - which I was a bit worried about. I arrived before my room was ready, so I left my luggage in the locked room behind reception. The area has enough to do on its own and it is walking distance to the Trevi fountain, to give you an idea of the scope. When I checked in, my room was tiny - barely enough room for the bed! It was clean, modern and cool, but there wasn't a fridge, and I could easily hear the conversation from the next room. The breakfast buffet was extensive - although they had an automatic machine for coffee, which was disappointing.
5 minute walk to Roma Termini.
We have stayed here before. Previously a large room with 3 beds. This time, just 2 of us for one night. Our room was clean and the airconditioner worked. Big blessing in the heat of Rome during our stay. Room very small with king-size bed. Silly thing to complain about, but we had to sidle around the bed to get from window to door. Would make an excellent single-bed or double-bed room. Minute bathroom, but clean. However, worth it for the fabulous breakfast atrium on the roof. Excellent food and view. Very clean. Would stay again. Good value for medium priced hotel.
Near train station, clean room
The best thing for this hotel is bathroom very clean, good quality towel. Room is quite small even only one person. Breakfast is average. Lift is small and slow. Bed is too soft, have backage next day.
Very convenient location
We found the hotel to be ideally placed. We stayed there 10 years ago and liked it, and this time it was even better.
Bad breakfast
Breakfast was in a nce room with a view but the breakfast was forgettable.we visited a few years ago and breakfast was a feature then.
Nice hotel - great location for using the train.
Clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed three nights- never any noise at night. The breakfast buffet is wonderful on the 6th floor rooftop glassed in room. Beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful with directions. The closeness to Termini station made it bearable to pull our heavy suitcases to the hotel and back to the station when we left. a 10 minute walk.
Close to Termini, but very small rooms.
The main problem is that you can hear very well what your neighbors are saying! I guess they have split one large room into two small ones with very thin wall.
Connection doors and the upset receptionist
I guess it was a newly renovated, so the general condition of the room, bathroom were good. But the walls and the connection door were thin so you can hear all the noise from the adjacent room. When I asked to change my room, the angry and aggressive receptionist declined and said all the rooms were full. ...about the receptionist; he was a totally unfriendly and aggressive old guy, I almost apologized that I asked about changing my room or about the safe in the room.
EXE Domus Aurea | Hotel in Rome | Travala.com
Good counter service, especially Valeria, extremely friendly and helpful to assist on tour tickets. Breakfast spread is reasonably good for the price. Occasional noise from street cleaning but not a big issue. Convenient location less than 10 mins walk to train terminal.
