Central Location
Central location in old town with attentive reception staff. Large rooms were clean and lobby is ace.
Excellent staff
Very nice Hotel in a great location
Hotel location is great, right in the old town with many bars and restaurants near by. The hotel itself is really beautiful and very nice staff with high service level. The only issue was with the aircon, which was on "winter mode" which made the rooms too warm with no option to cool it a bit. In general, its a great place to stay with very high value for money. I recommend.
Good
Beautifully decorated and clean . Our rooms were refreshed daily. Beeakfast boxes were convenient when we had early trips booked. Our room had all the facilities, only slight negative was thd twin beds were extremely small. But otherwise clean and comfortable
The Staff from reception to dining ares are well accommodating and very helpful. The property is very convenient to transportation, shopping, bars and restaurant and landmarks.Room cleanliness needs improvement.Breakfast with surcharge but it was very good both with hot and cold meals. In general we had a good time.Thank you Cati( the Receptionist) she has an excellent customer service-knew her job well!
Nice hotel, bar across the stress can be noisy especially weekends
The property is right at the old town; everything is within walking distance and it is very nice.
This hotel is a 2 star… 3 at best. It is in desperate need of a renovation. Let’s ignore that the only thing that worked in the mini fridge was the light, or that the hair dryer was kept together with a zip tie, or that the bottom of the string for the SOS was cut to be 7 feet off the ground, completely defeating the purpose, or that the bed comforter barely covered the top of the bed… but let’s talk hygiene. The mold in the shower was unruly. I witnessed the bartender rinse out glasses, dry them with a towel, and put them away. No soap used or actual washing done. And the hygiene trash cans in the lobby women’s bathroom looked like they hadn’t been changed in a week. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
This is a very modern hotel in the nice Bucharest Old Town. However there were stains all over the carpet in my room and the basin in the bathroom had obviously not been cleaned - I never understand how such a simple thing as keeping rooms clean gets overlooked particularly in a nice hotel like this one. There also seemed to be a problem with the temperature control in the room - the whole hotel seemed too hot but I couldn't set the temperature any lower - it was fixed at 25C
Our room was right across from Loud music tbat went until 4am both nights.
Very very noisy, with no solution.
Good place to stay
The cleaningness in the room is so terrible, and it seems their carpet didn't clean for couple months, i can see the dust on the top of the catpet, plus I found out some ants in walking around the bathroom. In addition, when I washed my socks in the sink, then the foam came out from the bottom around drain outlet area of the floor in the bathroom.
Central but being on the main road, it gets noisy
Great location in Bucharest
Great location in the old part of the city. Easy to walk to the sights and to buses and Metro. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms Good breakfast selection (though the "hot" options were only ever warm). We had one evening meal in the hotel during our 3 day stay which was very good. Highly recommend.
A very comfortable well located hotel. Highly recommended. (Aug 2024)
All I could ask for in a hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and modern room with all the facilities. Excellent location. Very very good value for money. I must also mention the restaurant. Normally i view hotel restaurants as decent food but nothing to get excited about. The restaurant here served me a delicious smoked duck and salad. Outstanding. Definitely recommend to others
Great place to stay
I took 3 days to enjoy Bucharest. Europa Royale made my stay amazing!
Lovely hotel & staff
Hotel is lovely and nicely appointed; in a perfect location in the heart of Bucharest. Lots of restaurants, cafes and Carrefour is close by. Alexandra in Front Office was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Always has a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Very warm and pleasant personality. Ana was pleasant and every efficient during checkin and checkout - I was lucky to be served by her both times. The only draw back was, the hotel needs to invest in new mattress. It is sagging in the middle. As I had a double room, I slept in the middle where the 2 single beds that are placed together. So that made a comfortable sleep every night. But the wonderful staff made up for this little drawback.
The noise from the nightclub is unbearable. All the way till 1.30. Sleep is too important to compromise, the noise is just unacceptable. If they had told me when I had arrived I would have gone elsewhere.
Hotel is good for being central to everything.. but you need to book an internal room otherwise the street noise comes through
An excellent hotel on the edge of the old town, which couldn't have a better location. 5 minutes from the airport express bus-stop and very close to Manuc's historical inn. Walking distance to everything in the old town. There is a bar across the street from the front door which is very loud on Saturdays, but if you avoid overlooking that, it's just perfect.
Great Location, good value for money
Stayed for 3 nights on a trip with MIL. The room was clean, spacious with all facilities we needed. Nice coffee machine and coffee in the room. Good offering of 'extra facilities' if needed including a toothbrush, sewing kit etc. Reception were also very happy to give us milk for our room (we have milk in our hot drinks) Fridge in room for extra convenience. Nice view from the room and despite being opposite a bar very little noise. Excellent location in the old town itself. Only downside was that the air con is controlled by the hotel (we would have preferred the room a bit cooler)
We communicated our arrivel time with the staff through a message, they responded quickly to our concerns and when we arrived, the room was ready for check in. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room and the hotel were clean and we'll maintained. The only thing that has nothing to do with the hotel is the loud music that was coming from the nearby pub.
Very good location. Nice breakfest. Walkable distance to all areas. Nice staff.
It’s right in the middle of Old Town, next to Manuc, the oldest inn and now restaurant. There is constant activity around the hotel, a little noisy if you’re noise sensitive, but wonderful energy for city folk. Food and drink is available till the wee hours of the morning.
nice location however there were water issues no running hot water for 2 days
Good hptel in a good locationj
Good location and friendly staff
Great staff and manager
Even if our room was on the square side it was quiet, room was comfy and big (queen room), really great breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Obviously lots of food choice nearby in old tow. Taxi can't go to the entrance which could be an issue if you have a lot luggage like we had, but apart from that a really great hotel
Great location for Old Town, shopping and transport links. Very clean too.
Nice room, good location, excellent breakfast buffet (make sure to pre-buy the buffet - more expensive if you buy it when you arrive!). The only negative is that on Friday and Saturday nights, there is loud music until 4:00 am from the nearby nightclubs. The staff left earplugs in the room, so they know about it!
Great value , fantastic location. Noisy and some little issues , but overall nice
Hotel was absolutely fine. Clean, large room, nice restaurant, helpful staff. Nightclub opposite blasted music into the early hours. The hotel did provide earplugs to mitigate this, but the windows didn’t do much to block out the sound.
Don’t stay. Too noisy.
I have probably stayed in a thousand hotels in my life. This was the loudest. Club is across the street. First hint should have been the earplugs furnished by the hotel in the room.
Good Hotel
It was Ok.
Great location beautiful upgraded hotel
No Integrity
The hotel lives up to its 4 star rating. It is centrally located and the staff was friendly. However, on our way out we dropped off 20 post cards. The person at the front desk did not know what to do with them so he just put them on a back counter. I asked him if he was going to send them out and he asked for money for the stamps. I informed him the post cards already had stamps and he didn't seem sure what to do next. Two weeks later post cards sent from locations after Romania to include ones sent from Brasov start arriving at their intended destinations. I emailed the hotel and they assured me they were dropped off at the post office 5 to 6 days after I left. I don't understand why it took so long when they could've just sent them with their outgoing mail. I emailed a month and a half later - still no post cards, not a single one - and they still claim they dropped them off. I do not believe them.
The hotel is lovely. The area around it is not.
Amazing staff and clean facility. No parking !!!! We had to park 10 min away and to carry our luggage.
A/C never worked in the middle of summer for a weeklong stay.
it was close to the musical fountains
Friedly.clean. great location
This hotel is in a good area for walking around old town, however there is a lot of traffic in this area and our taxis and Ubers often didn’t want to take us all the way back to the hotel due to the traffic, dropping us off a few streets away. Additionally, the street that the hotel is on seems to be a hangout spot for late night clubbers. We could hear people talking and yelling all night long on the street down below. The hotel is quite outdated and old, dimly lit. The staff were pleasant enough, but not overly friendly. The restaurant employee ignored me when I tried to order a coffee at the bar early one morning as the Starbucks across the street does not open until 8 AM. Felt safe enough during the daytime but felt a little seedy at night. This place not meet 4 star status in my opinion. Walked into the Hilton Garden Inn Old Town one morning and seemed to be a much cleaner/newer hotel.
The downs are parking, parking, and parking! After riding around the hotel area for 20 minutes looking for the mentioned parking within 800 ft of the hotel, we stopped to call for help. Help came in the form of being given three different spellings for a private parking companies that could not be located on GPS. FINALLY, we located the University parking garage and trekked 1/3 mi. across old town with our luggage. Once we arrived, the hotel is very nice and central in the old town area that makes site seeing easy. The room was nice and breakfast was delicious. Only negative about the room was the air conditioning did not work.
Recommended
Excellent all round stay at the Europa. Restaurant staff were particularly helpful and attentive. Food quality was excellent. Right on the edge of the Old Town and very close to the 783 Airport bus stop
4 stars for sure
Excellent in every respect. Very clean, prompt service, excellent breakfast buffett.
Only for the location
Location good location - right on the Old town. People talked about loud music from the bar next door - I was on the street side and had no noise when the window was closed. It is also close to several metros which is another plus. Room spacious. Had the mini bar and safe. the had complimentary water/coffee/tea which was also nice. The thing is the room is very outdated and old, and you can see that. They also missing things - there is a hanging closet, but no real on to put your stuff. Also, it's a double room, but you can't sit with your partner in the room, since there is only one chair for the desk. Bath spacious as well. The bath was high, meaning it wasn't easy to get in/out, especially with no supporting bar to grab. Wifi was bad, very slow and got stuck a lot - had to relay on my mobile plan. Cleanness overhaul seemed to be cleaned daily, but when I had some crumbles and confetti on the floor and bed, they seemed to stay there after their cleaning. Bed was extra low and also mattress was sinking. plus, the double bed was 2 singles the joined.
Clean, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
Enjoyable Hotel
The hotel is in Old Town and is clean, very comfortable, and convenient to all of the sites. Excellent breakfast (for an extra cost). The restaurant next door can get a bit noisy on the weekends, but nothing that interfered with my stay. Disappointed with the front desk supervisor who personally confirmed my return car service to the airport, but the car was never reserved. (Afterwards, I sent an email to the supervisor to notify him of the error, but never heard back.) The front desk staff had to scramble very early on a Monday morning to get a car to the hotel.
Friendly staff, clean hotel and great breakfast. Sadly no on site parking as advertised but the off site was good and secure and only a 5 min walk - just a shame we had to drive round the block twice to get into the hotel to ask, maybe advertise its Steko Parking. Noise was unbearable Friday night - loud music until last 0300!
Hotel Excellent - Hotel Bar not so good.
facilities were excellent. However, the bar could have been open longer; closing the bar at 23.00 in a city like Bucharest is clearly out of touch with customer aspirations.
Can’t complain about much.
Rooms are not sealed for noise of the market and the streets. Impossible to sleep during the night. The worst experience I have ever had, awful :(
Very clean, right next to old town, friendly staff and good price. Highly recommend this place.
This is my second stay at Europa Royale and, as always, the staff are really great. I had two problems (not the fault of the hotel) which they solved promptly. I like how convenient it is to walk to various sites in Old Town, and it is also really close to the metro, which is faster than dealing with traffic. There is also a taxi stand right outside the hotel. The breakfast is the best - many options for almost any taste and delicious espresso drinks. I ordered room service from the restaurant and the food was very fresh and tasty. The hotel is also very close to Hanu' lui Manuc, which is great for a traditional Romanian feast and entertainment.
Great spot at a value price
Good location and nice service.
The room was comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! I will definitely stay here again.
Perfect Place to stay for Bucharest Old Town!
This Hotel was Perfect for a our trip! Great Location, Stylish and comfortable! Staff were very helpful! This is a definitely the place to stay for the Old town and Central Bucharest. Highly Recommended!
Friendly service excellent clean
No problems
Good location and over-all condition of the hotel is good. The carpet in the room needed to be replaced.
It was a great place to stay. The location was close to everything and it was clean with a friendly staff. There was loud music outside until very late and that was the only bad thing.
Very nice hotel and great location!
Romania ,pleasant people and helpful
Lovely well positioned, don’t go on weekend as party town till 5 am in the morning

Great. It’s right downtown with plenty of options. Breakfast is great there.
Location is excellent. On the edge of the old town — but not stuck inside the pedestrian zone. You have a Metro and taxi access as well as the pedestrian old town. Hotel has an elegant atrium lobby.
A property with great potential. Unfortunately, I had the bad luck to be checked in by an unprofessional clerk with poor skills and I ended in a room with a bed made from 2 twin mattresses an sold as a full bed, and other some small missing details. So, stayed one night and moved to another hotel with better customer service.
Beautiful hotel perfectly located near lots of shops, bars and restaurants! Friendly staff and clean room. Couldn’t have asked for any more!
Room 422
Great room Could have done with a settee instead of chairs Bed a bit to low, but it depends on the user Nice bar Alright breakfast
Great place to stay
This was located close to everything in Old Town. Great location. Room was very clean and comfortable. Eco friendly and didn't overly wash towels. Staff was extremely friendly and offered assistance when they noticed me struggling with my bags. Only downside was the music from the lobby echoed in the room. Was not ideal when trying to sleep past 0800.
Great hotel - rooms at front noisy
Great hotel and well priced - friendly helpful staff. If you want a quiet night ask fir a room at the back of the hotel as their is a very noisy bar in the street at the front that is open until 02:00
Great stay in the heart of the city.
Clean room with a small French balcony and a nice view over Unirii Square.
Nice and clean room
I will come back
Amazing stuff, very nice location
Super!!!
Location was super and stuff was great, will book it every time I am in Bucharest
Unfair business practices dyring covid times
Couldnt make the trip due to covid. Asked for refund or credit and they woukd not do either. Very poor customer service.
Pleasant stay in Bucharest
Very nice hotel in a great location; staff very kind and helpful
Lovely
Lovely hotel and very central
Excellent location in the 'Old Town' area. Lots of nice places to eat. Easy to walk to places or use the excellent Lime eScooters. Hotel was clean, staff were very polite and helpful. The included buffet breakfast was great. The bar staff made great Negroni cocktails. Our suite room was large, with a balcony view of the local church... a fantastic place to stay. Keep up the good work!
Even thought this is not a “business” hotel, the staff were very accommodating in making sure I had access to computers/printing/etc at every hour.
Dee
Hotel is comfortable, clean and staff where very helpful. Located in the old district close to numerous bars and restaurants
Great hotel
Really nice hotel, great service. The hotel is located on a great spot. We had a really nice time.
Good hotel, bad service
I found the room and hotel go be good however the service and handling was appalling. They accepted a change of date which they later refused.. Only once I arrived. It was hell and they were extremely unhelpful. Would not stay again They also didn't have any toothpastes which every other hotel I've been to offers
Good value and location hotel. Clean and comfortable
Perfect location. Friendly staff.
Room nice and clean. Location perfect in old town. Reception fast and friendly.
the property was being renovated while we were there....no bar or food available
מלון מומלץ
מלון נהדר, מיקום מושלם ממש צמוד לשדרה של המסעדות בעיר העתיקה רק היה חסר משקל למזוודות שאני יודע שיש בכל מלון
The location of the hotel is excellent! In the Old Town. The hotel is very clean. The staff is great.
A beautiful place situated in a great are with plenty facilities and good staff the hotel royale deserves all the 4 stars with compliments.
The staff was very friendly , the location was perfect to all the night life. Room was very clean
Location was great, staff super friendly and rooms nice and clean
The room was excellent and very quiet. The breakfast buffet was great. The location of the hotel was excellent, being right on the doorstep of the old town.
Location in the vibrant Old Town is a plus. Basic clean rooms in old style hotel. Staff is courteous and helpful.
Great location in Old Town, very beautiful spot...
Fantastic location. Bed a bit soft and carpet needed to be vacuumed, otherwise definitely recommend this hotel.

It is a clean, well run property. Nice and helpful staff . It's in a pedestrian only zone . But a safe pickup place for Uber,Bolt, or taxis us just a few meters away. My only complaint is that they keep it much too warm. The only way to keep the room comfortable was to turn off the heat - it was heated well enough from the hallway.
