Everything was excellent

convenient location, very responsive service

We have used Base holidays previously and have never been disappointed.

Lovely hotel, nice views, comfortable. Spa bath was a bit on the small side, could only fit one person in it 😂😂; only a short overnight stay so did not get chance to visit the locality. Menulog for dinner!!

Base have the best Mantra units. Freshly painted, clean and great staff. The Hinterland views are as pleasant as Broken Bay (which is breathtaking). Total 5 stars

Beautiful clean property located right on the water front

The property was great. However the communition from Wotif about getting the key was hopeless. Took me an hour to get it sorted. Base Holidays were very helpful.

Receptionist is amazing lady, truely helpful, friendly and make us feels really welcome. The bed is comfortanle, spa is clean and works really well, the only negative things there was not enough kitchen equipments.

Loved our stay

Stayed at Mantra Ettalong for my husbands 60th. Everything was perfect and very easy. We had an upgrade pool view with spa. Very relaxing. It was self contained. Ettalong Diggers right next door. Lovely food, plenty of space. We even went back for breakfast. Too good. Best one yet. We will return

Great for a couple of days to relax. Properly was clean- fabulous big bath with spa. Pool amazing. Diggers underneath the building is great option for dinner and drinks.

My Ettalong visit

Property: Clean, convenient (near the beach, casino, restaurants, etc) . Activities: I went to the adjacent casino for live music & dancing. I rented a bicycle for exploring nearby beaches. Overall: Great place to stay and good value.

Great Space, clean fun and friendly. But as everyone says, BEDS are rock hard, expect back problems.

Nice apartment in a grand complex. Having Diggers club on the bottom floor was handy. Picking up the keys and instructions was easy, as was departure. Close to the waterfront for a walk and close to the palm island ferry. Would definitely come again

We booked a King water view studio The lounge and bed faced to other apartments instead of facing the view Our room looked straight into other apartments ..like a fishbowl I booked this room as the view looked amazing. Disappointed when we arrived to find this was not the case You had to be on the balcony to enjoy the view 😔

Clean and everything we needed,just the shower leaked water all over the floor, making it dangerous to exit out of shower /spa recess

Was a lovely stay have been there twice before in different rooms. All lovely and clean, great to have washing machine and dryer. Beautiful views of the pool this time. Lovely sitting on the balcony. So close to the water and nice restaurant and coffee shop across the road. A nice walk to Umina. Shops close by. Overall a beautiful quiet stay.

The view was magnificent. The location was fantastic. Apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There was need for “touching up” where damage had been done to furniture by previous occupants.

The property would have scored an excellent rating as it was clean, well situated and good value. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever been in. The mattress was obviously in need of urgent replacement, sagging and too soft to sleep on. On both mornings I woke with back pain after spending the night unable to get comfortable. My partner also had trouble. For this reason I am unlikely to return.

Beautiful and quite

property was pretty good close to all amenities the only issue was that the apartment did not have a dishwasher and no oven at all We had issues with the toilet door as we could not open or unlock from outside. Above all it was a happy stay

The bed was terrible. The ad said there was pillowtop bedding, but the mattress we had was 20 years old and was rock hard. We purchased a pillowtop mattress topper from Kmart, which the real estate reimbursed us for. An exhaust fan in the bathroom is needed. Beautiful view and pool. Loved our stay.

An ideal location for a quiet couple of days away

The beds were terrible bathroom filthy pool on our last day was disgusting dirty won’t be staying here again was disappointed the spa had been removed overall not happy .

The apartment was great! It had everything we needed for our stay and the views were beautiful!

The apartment was excellent with fabulous views, the only thing i did not like. The room technically has a safe. Only you can't use it as it is locked shut. It appears that because Mantra charge a $50 fee to unlock safes where there is a user error (forgot code etc) this charge is passed to the owner, who i guess won't pay, not to the rentor who really should!! Another slightly negative point is a shared outer door to two apartments, however, this could be a family renting two adjacent rooms. Each room does also have its own secure door. So not a big deal. Enjoy

ETTALONG BEACH PREMIUM APARTMENTS STAY

The property location is fantastic, the pool area very clean. Our studio appartment the King size bed the sheets did not fit the bed and the mattress was very uncomfortable I think they need to be up graded and the spa bath was not cleaned properly. The money that is being charged for these apartments I would not expect the above.

didn't like the bathroom no fan, after the shower you its very foggy. Balcony was extremely close to next door easy for anyone to jump in Stove took 25 mints just to cook an egg it's a joke Wasn't advised that it's a no smoking when making the booking only when you pay it stated no smoking which was too late to cancel. Pool area not clean and ducks swimming in pool very un-hygric Staff at counter don't even great you when you come in

The apartment was modern , well equipped with a large balcony to extend living space. Use of hotel amenities was great however lift maintenance to the pool area was very inconvenient for families with young children or the elderly as the stairs to access were very steep , slippery and unkept and a discount or prior warning would have been appreciated

The address of the Real Estate Agent was hard to find due to lack of street numbering. An address describing the office as being on the corner of Memorial Avenue and Ocean View Road would have made it easier to find. Directions to the car park under the apartment building were confusing.

Excellent value for money and very quiet room which had been refurbished to a very high standard

We were on level 5. We were asked to meet friends on level 4. Our key would not allow us to do this. We had to stay in the lift until someone had access to level 4.

The room was clean and larger than the usual resort rooms. The mattress was very comfortable and soft pillows added to a deep sleep. Our room was part of a duplex with durect access to the pool from our patio.

We requested the sofa bed be made up for us when we booked only to find it not done and when questioned we were told they coukd not because someone might trip over on it. We managed not to trip over the coffee table or the damaged and frayed room mat.

so spacious and walkable to the beach But we were dissapointed because you have to pay for a wifi . First time we experienced that you have to pay for a wifi that is the only that stopping us not to go back.

The property was clean and very well presented. Marvelous sound proofing by the double glass doors. Great location meters to shops, cafe's and beach.

The property was very clean, well appointed with a lovely view of the hinterland. What was not so good was the mattress. Very poor quality and could feel the springs, let’s not forget the mattress length. I am short snd my feet were touching bottom of mattress. My partner is over 6 foot and was very uncomfortable. An upgrade on the mattress would make this a very comfortable stay!

Everything was very good and enjoy full. It was a wonderful place to have a rest. There were minor things to be fixed: the entry door of 123-124 needs adjustment, it was being opened by force. A/c unite which locates in balcony is full of corrosion and very dirty and should be repainted.

Base real estate were very helpful and could be contacted anytime. Although the Mantra itself the staff very poor never once greeted, spoke amongst themselves... only one staff member on the last arvo greeted us. There wasn't an iron, shower caps..usually use one

We really like this place but this year was a bit different cockroaches everywhere in the room at night black send and water colour in the hot bath but we will book again

Aircon dripped the whole night was pure water torture did not get any sleep moved room next day globes were out in bathroom and toilets

Great location right across from the beach and only steps away from local cafes and restaurants. While the hotel is a bit dated, it is clean and comfortable and our room had been modernised. We had a 1 bed suite which had a functional kitchenette, a king bed plus double sofa bed and a very decent sized balcony with a table plus lounges for 4 people. The pool area is excellent.

Unit was fine, however, within the bedroom the electricity main switch board was extremely noisy and we had to turn the power off to sleep at night.

Dissatisfied

Dissapointed in the room ,old and tired, in need of update. Booking in was very inconvenient, a booking agency, not hotel reception. We have stayed at Mantra before and never been dissapointed. Will book direct in future.

Excellent housekeeping,cleanliness. The cups, glasses unreachable for me in top cupboard. Toaster, electric jug on top shelf too high to reach. Luckily I was with a person taller than 155cm. Shower over tub doesn’t make cleaning easy for housekeeping.

We loved how close it was to the centre of town, water and restaurants. The kids loved the pool. Always clean.

The amenities are good. Was disappointed to find that not all the free to air channels were available on the TV. There may have also been a blockage in a drain in the bathroom indicated by an odour that lingered there. These are issues that need some attention.

The whole experience was great from the booking process, check in to the facility it’s self. On top of that the price of the accommodation was very attractive!

Everything was nice and clean, very close to all amenities and the pool was great. However having to pay for internet was not good, everywhere you go now there is free internet.

The views are spectacular. The rooms were cleaned to the highest standard. We are definitely booking in again.

I loved the property as it was clean and tidy! However the girl at the realestate office was unhelpful and her attitude lacked basic decency.

For this stay we booked through a private managing agent, Rob and Montana, who were both very pleasant and helpful. However the apartment was not up to the standard of what was expected given we were told we had been given an upgrade. Overall it was satisfactory but the attention to smaller details made it disappointing. Some of the furnishing were tired, the crockery was poor quality and some had cracks in the handles, the bedhead was missing paint in places and the clothes airing stand was in poor condition and rusted. The Sofa bed was lumpy and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. Added to that the old toilet roll had been left on the holder which had about a quarter of roll of toilet paper left on it (there was a full roll in the vanity), but not the best look. The view from this apartment was excellent with a water view. There were some perceived communication issues between the managing agents of these apartments and the staff at the Mantra complex, that really need to be sorted out. Also, there are two separate groups of housekeeping staff; one group employed by the Mantra group and another group of housekeeping for the privately managed apartments. Which also seems to add to some confusion. In short, it is a great location but a few things made it disappointing and not to the standard of a previous stay in 2019.

The unit that we stayed in needed a complete overhaul . The kitchen table was broken and wobbled every time anything was put on it and the cushions on the dining chairs were all stained and stuck on with blu tack !! We didn’t even want to sit on anything without a towel . Wouldn’t ever stay again .

Modern clean with excellent views

Great location, horribly dated room and smelly

Great location, easy check in. Room, bathroom, and kitchen very, very dated. Wet smelly carpet in bedroom on arrival (notified our contact via text immediately but no response). Drains in bathroom and toilet stank, had to keep those doors closed. Supposed to get two free drinks as part of Hotels booking deal - never happened. Good location, but would get better value elsewhere given quality of the room.
