Appalling booking in -
Room not ready after book in time. Reception were booking others into same room type after me. Room poor and dirty - rubbish and chewing gum on floor- rusty toilet door- staff not very friendly and breakfast was poor quality.
Great price
Staff very helpful , hotel was clean and tidy location great
Nice area with many restaurants nearby and pubs. Close to the city center and kind stuff of the hotel
Beware of the smell of urine from the rooms
The smell from the room was horrible. The smell of urine was over powering. I really wished I had read the reviews 1st I would of booked elsewhere. The night porter staff are big ego bullies. Proper rude and threatening. I seen them being horrible and rude to a group of women aswell. I seen on other reviews it seems to be common. Its a city center budget hotel Im fully aware but how it got 3 stars baffles . Ruined my stay in Belfast.
Staff were nice, the hotel is budget so you cant be picky, rooms were a bit dusty. Evidently dont get hovered and mopped on a regular, no soap in the despenser when we arrived, a stain in the bed. Room temperature was pretty intimitant. But it is pretty close to the centre, showers decent, TV worked. Is what it is hotel.
Please ensure all elevators are working
Its was nice time there to stay. Room clean and steady.Serviea are good
Brilliant place well run staff friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you get a nice stay
Value for money
Good budget hotel, nice area, only downside is they never emptied bins or replaced toilet roll
The rooms were dirty and smelled like smoke. There was mold on the floors and ceilings. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great around different eating places.
Lovely location for someone who wanted to relax and have a good pint.
Nice clean bed, lack of being able to open window. Breakfast costly considering what was available
It was a great stay! The room was perfect (for a solo traveler). Kind and helpful staff. Only thing I didn't like was that the outside area around the property smelled of cigarette. But this was only an issue the first night. Didn't have this problem the rest of my stay.
Hotelwas outdated .
Very comfortable
The property was very basic, hanging space but not a wardrobe. No refreshments in room (no kettle). Staff were very helpful. New carpets were being fitted. Just a room for sleeping. The bar was a little expensive compared to some of the surrounding bars.
Get what you pay for
Friendly staff, nice clean rooms and the hotel was clean,,was vending machines on site if you something to eat or to eat or drink,
Lovely clean room; good but basic breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great value close to center ( 12 minutes gentle walk).
Bennie was amazing! This hotel was so cozy!
Room for improvement
TV had 3 functioning channels, i mentioned it, they got it fixed after 36 hours. On the last morning, the guy at Reception said i wasnt entitled to breakfast, as i wasn't on their list for Thursday, my checkout morning. Yet id no problems the previous 2 breakfasts. I had to stand my ground until he found my booking. Why did i pay Hotels, com £26 for 3 breakfasts, they were £8.50 each ? £25.50. I asked for a room with no third bed. I hot my head badly TWICE on the bed above my double bed. They said to email them with requests. I did TWICE, they never replied to my emails. It won't let me add photos ! It was too pricey for a solo guest !
Convenient Hotel. No Frills, Clean
Conveniently pretty central, pubs and food nearby, it’s a lively establishment and is in the cheaper bracket of hotel. You can get Pizza and booze tilllate, there’s a pool table, they even had bouncers.Rooms are efficient. It’s a bed and a shower, akin to an Ibis Budget. Oh and there is loads of parking on the Ringo App.
For the price this was ok
Great cheap hotel but noisy bar next door...bring ear plugs! Budget hotel.but does the job
Neighbourhood around was noisy and dirry
No handsoap provided (a bottle of shampoo by the sink instead?!) Bedsheet was ripped Very poor condition of room in general
No great
Noisy. Nightclub banging music till early hours..... like 2-3am. Cramped dining room. Basic breakfast. No coffee/tea facilities
O yea making facilities in the room and a pubs outside area backed into my room even though I was on the 4th floor it was so loud
The view was great, staff friendly and the cleaning service was fantastic with great attention to detail. I love it.
Great location, good cleanliness, breakfast good but no tea making facilities in room and no tea/coffee available in evening just cold beverages.
Great location, within a five minute walk to Robinson's, The Crown and the Opera House. Another five minutes and you're at City Hall.
Online check-in made things much easier on arrival. The room was very tidy and clean. The only "complaint" is that the mattress was very hard, but I guess that's normal these days. We used the hotel as a base but the free coffee each morning was a massive bonus.
The toilet seat was broken when we arrived but it was repaired the day we mentioned it. The shower had a broken shower head holder which I fixed myself with sellotape. We had an accessible room which was good but the underneath of the shower chair was pretty filthy. Didnt notice it til the day we left so no complaint was made. The staff were lovely and sorted out everything we asked for more or less straight away. Its a budget hotel and on the whole we were happy. We would stay there again.
Cheap ish and cheerful. Basic but clean and comfortable. Lovely continental breakfast. Easy access to central Belfast and train/bus station.
Decent for one night. Small room with no privacy for shower/toilet. Immediately accosted outside for change from drunken people nearby. Close to the train and bus station.
Nice friendly staff good location
There is a night club right next to the hotel. Seems fun, but it’s quite loud. The window is double paned to block out the noise, but that didn’t help entirely.
Good location for city centre and queens campus. Very basic but clean and has everything you need for a short stay. Reasonable value.
Good enough for a place to rest your head, for the price. Not the best area, but could be worse.
Convenient location, nice staff but room was dirty and somewhere I won’t return to
Facilities were functional
No frills hotel for a short stay, conveniently located for exploring the city. The toilet door doesn’t close and light comes on automatically which is disruptive during the night, as it then doesn’t turn off again for a while. No kettle in the room and no bedside tables, nowhere to put our suitcase. Mattress very comfy but pillows too high. It wasn’t exactly cheap and we didn’t get much for our money.
Good stay
Great value: super nice & helpful staff, extremely clean room with big shower, comfortable bed, very quiet at night, slept great & nice free breakfast with a big variety of espresso drinks.
Located near the Europa Bus station
Very clean, very modern, very friendly staff. The neighbourhood is probably not so family friendly, but it’s conveniently located otherwise.
The hotel was surrounded by pubs and bars. Clean rooms.
We found a curly hair in one bed and a booger on the pillow...
It is a good location.
Great location apart from the noise from 'Filthy McNasty's' bar next door. Clean room and a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Quite pricey for a budget hotel.
Not the best
Check in not till 3 but kept us waiting till 3.20!
In a great locations all food and beer outlets are walkable
The Etap is walkable for the centre of town and visitor attractions. Although the room was small, the bed was clean and comfortable. The only downside of the room was the limited space to hang clothes. Breakfast was alright for the price.
Staff were very pleasant and easy to work with. Great space close to everything.
Nice place to stay. Had to wait at checkin as they had a glitch in new system. Also, very noisy outside our window from a local nightclub. You also had to pay for parking in a local lot.
Location is good but thats about it .
Overwhelming smell of citrus cleaning products in the room when we checked in . Window only opened a couple of inches to try get some fresh air into the room . Room looked like a prison cell . Bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete also 1 pillow each in the room and were about the width of a credit card . Look for somewhere better than here is my advice .
Brilliant friendly staff and close to center
Good central spot
Very good choice! Centrally located to explore Belfast. The immediate neighbourhood a little akward but don’t stop there.
Great location, many dining options, walking distance to everything.
Belfast Fun
Great location and the room was quiet and comfortable. The light in the bathroom was on a motion sensor which was odd. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Hot water pls
Not a good experience really. First night at etap, there was no hot water and was moved to another room which the hot water was not working either this is around 11pm. Its not good when your tired from travelling and u just wanted to have a shower and sleep. Cold shower aint pleasant at all.
Pretty basic. Rooms dont have anywhere to store your clothes and are very small. The shower is part of the main room as is the sink. The shower was dirty, my daughter (top bunk) had stains and boodily fluids on thr wall. The car park opposite is reasonable buy the parked vehicles outside it had all been broken into. The staff were rude and abrupt when we visited the bar for soft drinks (£2.20) for a can of fanta! Its surrounded by bars and there was a strong smell of weed. We had 2 rooms and were relieved we were only staying 1 night.
Very clean. Small room, but functional for two nights. Very warm and couldn't get the AC to a setting cooler than 18° Celsius. Comfortable beds.
Horrendous
The standard is not basic it’s poor! The room was shabby and was supposed to be accessible and was not! The only positive was the reception staff!
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. I read a review complaining that the rooms were small, but having travelled many places in Europe, my experience has been that my room at ETAP was larger than the normal European hotel room. The hotel staff were courteous, efficient and very nice. Most importantly the room, including the bathroom, was very clean!
Very clean and basic would have liked tea/coffee in the room but plenty offered in reception
Excellent location - will stay again
Hotel central to everything. Located in botanic quarter. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Didnt spend time in the room, used to shower and sleep. Nice welcoming sfaff on reception. Let us store our bags until room was ready at 15.00. Didnt have breakfasts onsite too much variety in the city.
Good location
Room was a bit small breakfast was a joke
The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly
People who truly helped to provide great safety and trust.
Property was in a convenient area with lots of restaurants in close proximity. Hotel itself is decent/sufficient but not top quality. Bathroom door is a 1/4” thick melamine panel. The shower is right next to the bed (shower and sink in the main room). While the door is mostly frosted, the mirror at the end of the bed gives everyone in the room a straight view into the shower; may or may not be an issue depending on if/who you’re sharing a room with. The lobby and breakfast area were nice and the staff were friendly. Apparently the NCP app for parking doesn’t work as its supposed to so you get your ticket in the lot like normal and then swap it with the hotel staff for a discounted one.
I have never stayed in a hotel room so small with nowhere to put anything. The constant noise outside all night long When I asked receptionist her answer was it’s a budget hotel. I didn’t think it was budget price’s
Very small room but adequate for us.
Room was very small but we adapted . The 4th floor hallway was a bit sketchy due to the amout of stains on the carpet; possibility vomit from partyers . We didnt spend much time in the actual room as we were touring the city & surroundings. Staff was attentive, and friendly.
Would have liked tea/coffee in the rooms. Housekeeping service very good Friendly helpful staff
Right in the heart of Belfast, a nice accommodation for hen and stag parties (or people whose aim is intoxication) but not for solo travellers looking to explore Belfast and the surrounding areas. The biggest disappointment was that the toilet shared the same floor space as the resting the bedroom and the window doesn’t open much to release the chemical smell permeating from the property. The front desk staff were lovely but that’s about it. The other guests in the lobby were loud and rude which tended to ruin the experience. For the price, this was definitely not worth the stay - would avoid.
This is a budget hotel but it is central, walls are thin and it is noisy
Get what you pay for, definitely fit for purpose as reasonably close to the city and bus station. Wetherspoons very close. Staff are very helpful and friendly
It was just what we needed 👍
A very much so budget hotel. Definitely on the over priced side for what you get. Very little options at breakfast, plus awful music in the background. They seemed to be price gouging aswell considering they hiked up the price of a room on the day of a concert, even though it was only a Wednesday. Otherwise staff are super friendly, the place is clean and location is good.
Etap belfast was a very convenient stay . Me and my brother had a good time. Our first room we couldnt get into the shower . But the hotel were nice enough to give us another room. Our next room was definitely much better.
Carpets were badly stained, and the rooms were very small. No space to move around and there were interesting smells.
It was brilliant craíc! 😝👌♥️
small convenient hotel and relatively inexpenpensive
Very friendly staff. Lobby is nicest part of hotel. Rooms are very small with the bathroom built into your bedroom so my room had a chlorine smell to it that gave me a slight headache. Very good location in heart of Belfast with a discount on a parking garage.
Rooms basic, shower and sink in room, no bedside tables? And plugs away from the bed side, breakfast continental only, coffee and tea available free all day, convenient to town and public transport. Restaurants and bars close by. No charge to leave bags prior to booking but a charge to leave them on the last day!! Lift was not working properly when we were there. They have a WhatsApp chat but nobody replies
Budget clean easy
Very Budget, room clean does the job.
Good location.
Room was very small, but had everything that was needed, clean and quiet. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Nice clean plain and simple, Perfect for a quick visit to the city. I slept really well and enjoyed the ease and simplicity of my room. I will defiantly stay here again on my next visit.
Right next to filthy mcnasties, very fun!
The hotel itself was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The lift from the ground floor didn't work and had to be used from the first floor, requiring the use of a flight of stairs. The hotel was next to a popular bar 'Filthy McNastie's' and the loud beat of music permeated the even-number side of the hotel despite two sets of double glazing on the windows. This music started at lunchtime and ran on until at least 1.30am.
Good location, lovely staff, room was very basic, broken trim on the bed and very cheap feel
Ok for one night
A budget hotel (not even too cheap as the room was more than 100 pounds per night) which is just about ok for a night. The room is tiny and lacks any comfort, not even a hair dryer. The bed was not very comfy because I assume the mattress was old. WiFi is reliable and breakfast is ok overall
As a solo female traveler I felt safe. Property was clean.
Basic hotel, clean enough.
Small room but everything you need. 24/7 coffee and tea. Close to transit and restaurants.
Small cozy room
Room was small, but clean. Service from front desk was very friendly
ETAP Belfast | Hotel in Belfast | Travala.com
Only reason why i marked this done is because they woke me up at 8am in the morning vacuuming outside my room.Did report this to reception, but was told the carpet needed cleaning.Overall ot was value for money. If you have come to Belfast to chill and maybe sleep in then probably not ideal for you
