Beautiful historic main facade, but from the room window you could see a construction in progress that was too close.

The stay was very comfortable with a decent room, clean bathrooms and a location easily accessible too. I highly recommend this one. It was worth my money.

Clean and quiet property. Reception is only limited times and I wasn’t provided an emergency number so definitely wouldn’t recommend for solo travel.

Great place to stay at a reasonable rate. Quiet. Clean wonderful free breakfast. Easy access to the old city with a 20 min walk or bus ride. Quirky hotel. If you’re looking for a chain hotel this isn’t your hotel! But if you like a little different — this is great. I’d stay again.

I stayed for 3 nights ..Check in was a pleasure the receptionist was highly friendly and professional in quick check in and advice on area and city. The room was very large with two very comfortable with quality bedding . The bathroom was very modern with a strong warm shower in a wet room facility . The usual hair and body toiletries were supplied ., wifk was strong .. breakfast was sufficient not a lot of hot choice ., Fresh rolls cold meats and cheese were present .. The hotel is situated very close to the picturesque view of the lake . It is 30 minutes walk to Gamla stan ( old town ) or 2 minutes to number 2 and 53 bus .. I would highly recommend this hotel for stays in wonderful city of Stockholm

The hotel is well situated about 25 minutes walk to Gamal Stan (old city) or also served by nearby frequent busses number 2 and 53. The room I Stayed in was truly massive very large bedroom and bathroom . Bed was very comfortable with quality bedding .. views from window and outside building are stunning the beauty of lake and old city in distance .. The bathroom was very modern with perfect hot showers supplied with showreel products . Breakfast was adaquete not huge Choice of hot items mostly cold meats, cheeses and cakes. Staff were very pleasant and helpful at reception. I would highly recommend this hotel and would return here when I come back to this wonderful city of Stockholm..

Quaint and comfortable, very well located for my purposes and just a few minutes walk from many good bars and restaurants.

Check-in personnel at the desk were less available than for most other hotel stays, but breakfast, cleanliness, maid service and quality were all very good.

Great hotel in a great location. Room was good, with a nice view. Easy access into town, just 20 minutes walk into Gamla Stan. Room was clean and fairly spacious

Pleasant enough place - practical, affordable, no frills. Acoustics aren’t great - was woken up each night by neighbours going to shared bathroom, but otherwise it’s a good place.

Room is small, and receptionist take a while to arrive. Room can be accessed through a narrow curl stair and for people with luggage, it is difficult to go down.

It was a nice place and the staff was very helpful when you needed something or had questions about Stockholm.

Basic accommodations but well worth it for the price. Breakfast included was a huge plus for me.

Came to Stockholm for a conference, looked for closed accommodation and found this little gem. 10 mins walk to station, busses nearby. Close to restaurants and activities. Best of all amazing view of harbour and Stockholm from hotel.

It would be nice if the windows could be opened more than just a crack. We would have liked to have more fresh air.

Nice place

I enjoy staying at Ersta, it feels like home. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff - helpful, friendly and laid back Its an unusual place as I believe it used to be a convent, so this gives it a special atmosphere The area is good for me. It involves some walking, and currently some very noisy building works going on next door at a big project/a hospital....but nice views and sodermalm at hand If you like unusual stays, this is a good choice

comfy room with view

enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful view in our room. the hotel is only a few minutes walk from a trendy neighborhood with restaurants and bars. it is run by a non-profit organization. There's no staff after 10pm, but guests have key access after hour. the bathroom is basic but practical. guests have access to common kitchenette. the furnishing is a bit dated but has its own style. bed is comfortable. they also have a tasty breakfast buffet.

Best view of Stockholm

Amazing location on the top of Sodermalm hills where we can view waterfront of view of Stockholm - Gamla Stan, Skeppsholmen, and Djurgaden. Walkable distance from Medborgarplatsen Station to Slussen Station (down hill- not recommend going up from Slussen due to rather steep hill.) A non-profit conference facility with beautiful ground - chapel and charming buildings. The room was bigger, very clean and comfortable- not sure if AC was on but we could open window in the morning / evening to get the breeze in. Breakfast was continental but has boiled eggs and different kinds of hams, cheese even some marinated herring. Great Sunset from the property. With 3 min. walk toward Slussen metro, you can have Fika at Fjallgatans Kaffestuga with great views (nice ice cream) Highly recommended for Summer time travel.

Swedish stay

I found the place surprisingly charming. The room and shower were small and a bit Sparta but in Very good condition and extremely clean. The breakfast was just ok. The only downside was that it took the front desk clerk a long time to check us in. He seemed baffled about finding out online reservation. Other than that we were very satisfied.

Location not close to city centre

Cannot contact the staff as I was late for the check in and I stayed outside of the hostel in a very cold weather. Location not really close to city centre but view is nice if the weather is not too cold taking a walk should be very pretty.

Very nice hotel, cool staff.

I stayed 5 days at this hotel in a single economy room and I must admit that It's a very impressive hotel. Due to the location though I highly recommend getting an SL Access card. http://sl.se/en/fares--tickets/ To get to the hotel all you need to do is take the Blue bus (No.2) from Slussen to Ersta Sjukhus. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, the hotel room was very nice, the facilities are great, en-suite, flat screen TV, WiFi, A very nice hotel all-in-all. My only slight negative is the staff, It's nothing serious at all and the staff did help me whenever I required it but I didn't exactly feel welcomed as a guest, maybe it's because this hotel is a 'conference center' and they have to deal with so many people that the staff can't add any warmth, I felt a definite coldness that I didn't really experience anywhere else during my stay in Stockholm. This hotel is based in what I can only describe as a Christian compound and at 11:00AM a bell rings calling people to a little church. (You don't have to go, lol) One thing that made me leap out of bed on one random morning was the sound of a ferry's horn, the ferry terminal is practically next door and at about 6:30 I was awoken to BAWOAWWWW! (Made me laugh) There's a supermarket and a 24 hour convenience store close by which is always nice, at the convenience store you can top up your travel card. Breakfast at the hotel isn't good, can't cook a hard boiled egg competently and it's only open until 8:00AM. :(

Recommended

I stayed in three hotels during my two weeks in Stockholm, and this was the best. It was the only one where I felt I was getting what I payed for. The facilities are somewhat basic, but everything is nice and clean and well-maintained. And while the location might seem a bit remote, it offers an incomparable view of the city and is only about ten minutes walk from the Medborgarplatsen and Slussen T-bana stations.

Scenic view, nice staff and enjoyable stay

Although cheap, this hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The hotel is located on top of a cliff and has a very nice view over both the sea and the old town of Stockholm. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk between the hotel and Stockholm's old town and the road in between is so scenic that I recommend everyone to take a walk instead of taking a bus for example. In fact, during our two days there, there were always tourist buses parking right outside the hotel and bringing tourists to that spot for its view. The hotel's building also has a history to itself as a monastery. We found that history intriguing because it gave the hotel a character. The staff were super friendly and did everything they could to make sure that the guests feel welcome. In particular, they went out of their way and lent us two very nice umbrellas for our whole stay there (and, in fact, even for a few hours after we had checked out). The breakfast might not be so fancy but it was definitely better than most other (and more expensive) hotels. The only catch, of course, might be the shared bathroom/washrooms but, at least, during our stay, they were always spotlessly clean. I definitely recommend this hotel.

A hotel with great view

I read a couple of reviews and decided to book this hotel because it is on a hill with great view overlooking the harbor and old town. The hotel staff responded to my request and gave me a room with great view! There is a garden beside the hotel that makes the environment very pleasant. The hotel staff were very responsive to my questions or request while I stayed there. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They put a curtain that can block the long-day sunlight. It has a kitchen on each floor, however it was closed when the staff were off duty. I did not know that and I was hoping to make a cup of coffee after coming back from my tour. Unfortunately I had no chance to use it since the reception was closed (a bit disappointed...). The bathrooms were clean and available. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants so eating out is not an issue. There are several buses going to old town and city center (#2 bus is the most frequent one). I bought a 3-day bus pass and found taking buses very convenient. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Fantastic View

The view and the location of the hotel is amazing though it is a bit hard to find it. The only problem is the shared bathrooms which needs real cleaning. Otherwise, it is amazing with really cozy rooms :)

Monastic Charme, Amazing Views!

To me, this place was a welcome surprise and relief from a usual hotel experience. With its history as a previous residence for nurses, this place still exudes a strongly church-inspired ambience. Rooms are spotless, but nostalgic, and bathrooms, which are often shared, are also spotless. The general atmosphere is extremely calm and composed, as you would expect more from a seminar centre or monastery. Breakfast is a very good bufffet breakfast (beware, no cooked bacon & egg/ sausage here), served in cozy surroundings. The views of Stockholm you can have from the hotel grounds are famous, and attract busloads of tourists. There is also a very nice restaurant with seemingly erratic opening hours across the courtyard the hotel is set in, so if someone is in no mood to venture all the way back into town for dinner, that is a nice option. I might stay there again in future.

Väldigt trevligt hotell med mysig atmosfär och i en lugnt område på söder. Rent, fräscht och trevlig personal. Sköna sängar och bra storlek på rummen. Frukosten kan behöva lite uppfräschning men ändå tillfredsställande.

Besviken trots fantastisk personal och läge.

Bra: MYCKET hjälpsam och trevlig personal! Fantastiskt läge; centralt men ändå lugnt och utsikten är oslagbar. Rent. Bra att ha möjlighet att lämna bagaget och även att kunna sitta och jobba i allrummet efter att jag checkat ut. Dåligt: Utsikten från rummet var rakt in i en byggarbetsplats...tur att jag bodde där lör-sön då bygget inte var igång! Att det är byggnation nämndes inte alls på bokningssidan och inte heller vid incheckningen. Dåligt! De två kuddarna i rummet, var inte sköna. den ena var väldigt hård och den andra mycket mjuk och stoppningen kändes sladdrig. Båda kändes rätt gamla och ingen av dem kändes bekväma. Tråkigt rum, riktigt gammal inredning, och rätt lyhört då jag hörde min granne flera gånger under kvällen. Basic hygienprodukter; det fanns bara allt-i-ett tvål; hade uppskattat schampo & balsam. Frukosten var ok, men frukostmatsalen var väldigt trång (där man tog fukostmaten) och få platser, så jag som kom lite senare vid 9 fick sitta en bra bit bort. Om det varit möjligt att ha ett annat rum (det finns ju rätt många rum på Ersta...) för frukosten så man kunnat njuta av den fantastiska utsikten hade det naturligtvis varit fantastiskt.

Overnatning på Riget

En noget anderledes oplevelse... Hotellet ligger flot på toppen af en bakke med udsigt fra gården over Stockholm. Men fra værelset er der desværre kun udsigt til en lille indre gård, hvor der samtidig var byggerod og håndværkere. Ersta fungerer både som hotel, konferencecenter og en del andre ting, så det er ikke et standard hotel. Bygningen er gammel og svær at finde rundt i og der er mange låste glasdøre, som fører ind til noget der ligner hospitalsgange og operationsstuer. Den første dag havde jeg svært ved at finde rundt og jeg fik en oplevelse af at bo på Riget. Værelset er rent men fremstår temmelig gammeldags og det samme gælder badeværelset.

Trevligt hotell

Tyvärr bygge 20 m från fönstret. Fick byta rum. Städningen glömdes av Kulturhistorisk byggnad med mycket vördnad och underhåll. Stillhet. Fantastisk frukost

Personalen väldigt trevlig. Rummen okej men väldigt slitna. Tapeter lossnat från väggen, målarfärg borta från badrumsdörren. Väldigt mjuka sängar. Frukosten av det enklare slaget.

Frukosten har blivit mycket bättre. Nu bodde jag billigt, hotellrummen är bättre. Lite du får vad du betalar för men priset bra för läget

Väldigt trevlig tjej i receptionen, däremot fungerade inte Tv-en på rummet gick inte att fixa, en sänglampa fungerade inte, annars var vistelsen helt Ok

När vi kom till hotellet ett par timmar innan incheckningstiden, fick vi ändå tillgång till rummet. Dessutom uppgraderade de oss (självmant) till ett större rum, eftersom det rum vi bokat låg när tillfälligt störande ljud utanför. Frukosten bra, men inte överdådig.

Höst på Ersta Hotell

Mycket trevligt hotell med nära till allt. Tycker att man borde ha en gångbana bredvid trappan (utomhus) för tex vagn eller rullator

Bra boende till bra pris.

Bra boende för ett bra pris. Passade mitt behov just då. Kom sent på kvällen. Ville ha någonstans att sova och en frukost. Det fick jag också. Inga krav på bar eller underhållning. Gillade det gamla vackra huset.

En natts övernattning

Ett bra hotell för en eller två nätters övernattning. Rummen var lite slitiga, men rena och helt ok. Frukosten var jätte bra och salen var mysig.

Bra läge och mysigt om än slitet rum. Liten frukost men smakade bra! Sängen bra men kuddar sisådär. Bokade samma dag och Ersta tog nästan 1000 kr mindre än t.ex. Nordic choice, väldigt prisvärt!

Blandet oplevelse, men vi sov fint her.

Plus: God beliggenhed, fin morgenmadsbuffet og høflig reception. God plads på værelset, nemt tilgængeligt og mulighed for betalt parkering (200kr/døgn). Minus: Rummet lugter, det larmede tidligt og meget fra byggeri lige udenfor, intet varmt vand (dog pga vandskade), men det var ufedt når man trængte til bad, og så var rengøringen ikke helt på plads (der var hår flere steder, hvor der ikke burde være).

Mysigt hotell

Mysigt hotell med gammaldags charm. Rent och snyggt på rummet. Bra frukost, vi saknade bara stekt bacon till äggröran. Men det fanns ju korv och skinka som också fungerade bra till. Fantastiskt läge med fin utsikt över vattnet.

Außergewöhnliche Lage im Innenhof/Park der historischen Anlage der Diakonie in der Nähe des Krankenhauses. Optimal um das Viking Line Fährterminal zu erreichen (10 Minuten zu Fuß den Berg hinunter). Liegt auf der Steilküste von Södermalm aus dem Park direkt an der Kante sehr guter Blick über Stockholm. Die Fahren liegen quasi vor dem Haus. Restaurants, Supermarkt etc. in unmittelbarer Nähe. Aus der Nähe von Stockholm C mit dem Bus ohne umsteigen zu erreichen. Zimmer eher einfach aber zweckmäßig (gibt wohl noch eine bessere Kategorie).

Hinta laatusuhde ylittyi. Halvimmissa huoneissa jaettu suihku&wc mutta suljetut omat tilat käytössä yhdelle henkilölle, joten vastaa omia tiloja.

Annonseras att parkeringen är gratis, men ändå man fick betala 200 kr för att parkera över natten. Slitna rum. Gemensam dusch och toalett i korridoren. Inte värt pengarna. Hostel - helt enkelt, skulle aldrig kalla detta - Hotel. Utsikten över Djurgården och viken - bäst. Frukost - ok.

Allt var bra

Överraskande fint och trevligt! Promenaden dit och ifrån är fantastisk, hela Stockholm i panorama! Det rum jag bodde i var nyrenoverat och rymligt, sängen skön. Frukosten precis lagom. Det enda lilla minuset är att det är lite krångligt att ta sig från rummet till frukost och reception, men det är också en del av charmen. Väl värt att testa!

Härligt läge i huvudstaden. Fräscha stora rum. Fantastisk frukost. Minus för ostädat rum vid incheckning men det fixades snabbt av flink personal. Perfekt med parkering utanför dörren men kanske lite dyrt -200:- !

Erittäin miellyttävä hotelli, ystävällinen palvelu, löytyi vegaanista aamupalaa, rauhallinen tunnelma ja lyhyen etäisyyden päässä laivaterminaalista. Toivoisin vielä roskien kierrätys mahdollisuuden huoneeseen (pullot ilmeisesti kierrätetään jo.)

Hotelet var rent och fräscht bra personal och trevligt bemöttande. Frukosten var dock inget vidare dåligt utbudd, när min man kom till frukosten fanns det 1,5 ostskiva kvar som var torr, fanns endast en juice i sortimentet och inte alls så stora valmöjligheter på varken pålägg eller grönsaker. 4/5 på hotellet 2/5 för frukosten

Var på konsert, så det var ett väldigt trevligt hotell, mysig frukost. Men alldeles för kallt på rimer och drog från fönstret. Skulle kunna bo där igen
