Bucharest City Hotel

Wonderful hotel in every way. Highly recommended. Quiet part of town but very close to Old Town.

Super comfy and clean

Quiet location in a central part of the city. Some challenges with parking

Beautiful property with excellent staff and fantastic rooms. Ate at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious. Bar area was bery relaxed and cocktails were lovely too.

The property is beautiful. The spa downstairs is really nice. The lounge has such a beautiful decor. Also they have a great restaurant downstairs but I have not eaten yet. Really beautiful property.

EXCEPTIONAL hotel, first class service, excellence all round, top class for cleanliness, polite and respectful staff. Great room, food and spa. I would highly recommend. Definately an hidden gem in the heart of Bucharest.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with friendly staff who always greet you by name! The suite (Grand Executive) was immaculately clean. The entire hotel, spa & communal areas were beautiful. They have a beautiful bar with comfy seating. We will stay again without a doubt!

great hotel located in a beautiful area of Bucharest, in walking distance from Cismigiu. Very friendly and professional staff.

Everything was clean, nice room, but everything closed at 10:30 so don’t expect any food service if you arrive after 10 pm.

Exceptional hotel! Luxury suite was excellent when traveling with a child. We particularly want to give our appreciation to Răzvan for all his hospitality and responsiveness when we had to delay our travel for one day due to flight delays and rebook the same suite.

Very nice as you would expect for 5 star. Charged me for a bar of chocolate that I didn't eat which is odd. Scary rules about getting a penalty charge if you get takeaway seemed a bit extreme

Dated hotel with poor air con

This hotel does not live up to its claims of a luxury hotel. The air conditioning in my room couldn’t get the temperature below 22 degrees Celsius. The staff explained it wasn’t a “normal air conditioning system” and relied on circulating cool water through pipes, and in their experience it could rarely get below 21-22 degrees Celsius. I was advised to “open a window” - however, there was a noisy fan outside my room (ironically!) which meant that this was not an option. The room was not cleaned brilliantly, and there were quite a few hairs in the bed. The pool is very small, and the steam room smelled like damp. The room furniture was a little dated and in need of an upgrade. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but there was not much they could do about these issues.

An delightful, aesthetic hotel in the old city center. Tucked away in a cute culdesac amongst the restored 100-year old homes in the neighborhood, this place feels like a portal to the pre-war period — but with just the right kind of modern touch. Staff are incredibly friendly, responsive, and welcoming. The lobby and bar are an excellent place to meet other travelers and guests. And the rooms are clean, quiet, and spacious. We’ll stay here every time going forward. Highly recommend!

This hotel shouldn’t be classified as 5 stars. It needs serious renovation beforehand. My suite was 3 stars with older furniture. I was not impressed

Loved almost everything about the hotel. It’s beautiful, great food and drink options, good location close to the park, excellent service and the spa is great. My only complaint is the fact I suspect the hotel uses a septic tank which meant both bathrooms I stayed in had an odor. I suspect most people would not notice this.

Perfect Stay in Bucharest

Just loved staying in a quieter area not from from the hustle bustle. A boutique type hotel with wonderful service.

I’ve been coming to Bucharest for 15 years, and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. And some of those others have been 5 stars also. It’s an ideal location, only 2 or 3 blocks away from the city’s traffic and the dust, but you’ll enjoy the reprieve. Pardon my mispelling but the Manager Irena is terribly kind and helpful. I was with my wife and 5 year old, which is typically pretty hectic, but still I didn’t want to leave.

Hotel is high end but very dated. Really could use a refurbishing. Staff very good. French restaurant is very good. Room a bit dated but had all the amenities you expect at 5* property. Biggest issue is not walking distance to restaurants shops in old town.

Rooms are bigger then average, clean ,close to center but hard to get to.

Lovely hotel. Excellent service. Glass of champagne upon arrival, very comfy suite with 2 rooms and 2 tvs, excellent spa with lovely pool and sauna, walking distance to Old Town. Bar and restaurant look good though i didnt eat there. No minuses at all. Very much recommend.

We had a most wonderful stay with a family of eight. Celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary, and we were met with nothing but accommodation and excellent hospitality. The front desk and restaurant Service personnel accommodated our every need With an excellent and Superior effort. I Totally recommend this hotel to anyone. Special shout out to Adrian and Doina ❤️ We hope to return there during our next visit to Bucharest!

Great hotel for the price

This is a very nice hotel in an odd location. It’s relatively close to the very center of Bucharest but hidden within some old buildings. The service was great, the room very comfortable and the food and service at the restaurant was excellent.

Epoque is a heritage hotel in the heart of Bucharest. It is tucked away in a busy neighborhood close to a large city park. Easily walkable to Old Town, the Parliament, and other attractions.

This is an excellent gem of a hotel. Close to things. Best is the service and rooms are so big and spacious. Loved our time here. Especially the lounge area is very cozy and welcoming. Thanks to everyone for making our stay a great one.

Beautiful hotel and welcoming staff

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful! We arrived at 11:30 pm and they made sure we could've some dinner even if everything was closed!

Loved our room, was more like a small apartment without a kitchen. We were able to open all the windows and enjoy a breeze. Close to a nice park and within a 10-20 minute walk to many restaurants and old town.

This will be may stay each time I visit! I just love the class, the quiet, the spa and food! Outstanding service! Kudos!

Well worth seeking out - so mush more character than the big 4-5 star hotels in town, nice pool/spa, nice bar and amazing chef in the restaurant!

What a lovely Hotel. Very friendly. Short walk to the old town. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant, it classes itself as fine dining..... and it was indeed that. Highly recommend staying, eating and drinking at this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our at hotel epoque. The service was phenomenal, particularly Razcan and Edward. Nothing was too difficult for the staff and Razcan made us the best pornstar martinis. The facilities were lovely, the only points of inprovement that could be made would be the temperature of the pool, and the light could be brighter within the hotel room. Thank you also for the lovely bottle of wine left in our room.

We had a lovely stay, staff were very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room was spacious and comfortable with all you could possibly need. The pool was small but nice gym and sauna. Restaurant was excellent.

This is my third time staying at this property. I love the location, nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood, only a 3 minute walk to Cișmigiu park. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious. I got a suite and it had everything I nedeed. I love the extra touches, so i appreciated having a bottle of Romanian wine waiting in the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful and even parked my rental car. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Ending on a high

This was my final stop on a 9-day solo driving tour of Romania, staying in different classes of accommodation, mostly very good, but was great to finish on a high. The opportunity to have a swim was not to be missed. Bar service was great. All very good.

Wonderful hotel. Staff very friendly and incredibly helpful. Room spacious and well-appointed and strong AC. Restaurant had great food and the waiter was gracious and knowledgeable about the food. For sure would stay again.
