We paid for the largest room that had a king bed and two twin beds; we specifically booked this room because we wanted room for us as a couple and our son. Oddly, our son didn’t show up on our reservation so I called and emailed in advance and was assured he was included on our reservation, both when I called and also when I emailed. (My email was not returned within the day so that’s why I called - I received an email reply via Expedia a couple days later with the same response.) When we checked in we were given a small room with a queen bed, and a toilet that had trouble flushing and a shower that leaked water everywhere requiring us to use one of the two towels given us to dry the floor. When we asked about the room size and what we had reserved we were told we would not be given a refund and needed to contact Expedia. They said they give rooms based on number of occupants (though on Expedia the price is based NOT on occupancy but based on room size.) We travelled with another family who had the exact same experience - their children were dropped from the booking and they were given a small room despite paying for and reserving a larger room. The staff were friendly and the location was nice - with signs of hippos and elephants close to the cottages - but we wouldn’t return due to the issue with our reservation. If you book via Expedia call in advance to confirm your booking - otherwise you may not get what you paid for and be left without anything to do about it.
campsite and service worth 100$
campsite and service worth 100$! The service is outstanding
Small cottages with holes in construction - mosquitoes worries. Floor sloping Charming location and great service
Excellent value. Right in the park, amazing service. Make sure you're welcome and taken care of from the second you pull in. Highly recommended for big groups and people that want to spend most of their time in the park.
AMAZING with food to die for
It was an amazing place to visit. The food and the animals were the star of this lodge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would give this place 5 star review.
Awesome location, staff was super friendly and nice. Very helpful and flexible. Food was delicious too. The effort to make the Traveler safe is very noticeable.
The property was perfectly situated right in the park and was the best value for the price out of all park lodges.
We stayed at Engiri Lodge 4-6 February. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The cottage was clean and everything worked - quite an achievement in Africa. Drinks are a very good price by UK standards. The range of food available is limited but adequate.
Good!
Friendly staff, clean and good food
Review if Engiri Lodges
Great stay in the National Park. Lodges are comfortable and offer a really good location for touring the Park. We stayed 3 nights in a lodge. Breakfast is fine, does the job and is available from 5.30 in case you want an early start. 3 course evening meal included and this was great with a choice of meat or fish/veggie option. Remember you are in a National Park and so you may hear animals at night, scratching on the walls and visits from insects & geckos. All in all the lodge offered really good value in a cracking location. Hippo’s, warthogs, deer etc feeding around the lodges at night and during the day. We also saw a couple of lioness just outside the camp on our early morning drive.
Quick Engiri Review
Lodges. are great. Just remember you are in the National Park and so insects, gecko’s etc will frequent your room. Plenty of hot water for shower. Breakfast is fine, 3 course evening meal on each of the three nights we stayed was really good with choice of meat, or fish/veggie dish. Staff are great. Hippos, deer, warthogs all seen in the camp. A really good value stay
Great Safari Hotel
Such pleasant staff always greeting you and a talented cook who prepares the BEST food! Very safe, security walks you to and from your Banda at night to protect from animals which was a nice touch! Clean and lovely accommodation. Will definitely stay here again!
They are amazing. We had car trouble and ended up arriving at 11. They were amazing
einfache Unterkunft inmitten der Natur
Wir würden wieder in diese einfache Unterkunft gegen. Konnten Elefanten sowie Pumbas beim Camp beobachten.

Perfect stay to relax and enjoy local wildlife
It was a lovely experience staying at Engiri. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Our room was simple but spacious with a terrace to sit on. The food catered for us as vegetarian and was all freshly prepared and delicious. The outdoor seating in the restaurant was a nice place to dine. The staff is so friendly and attentive. It was great to see the occasional elephant on site. The lodge arranged our boat safari on Kazinga Channel which was a fantastic experience and so economical. Other activities like game drives are available at very reasonable prices. The Marketing Manager at Engiri deserves special mention for arranging private transport for us to reach the Lodge and for onward travel. Highly recommended.
