Service was good. However, the rooms need some major renovation.
Hotel needs to be upgraded
These people not freindly at all.
The hotel was good value for money, reception staff was helpful and pleasant, Kitchen staff and cleaning staff was also very good. However, it would be helpful to train staff in speaking English, this will improve the customer experience massively.
A real nightmare
A real nightmare, the rooms are so small, the food is so poor, i have no words to say! Not reccomended at all!!!!!!
clean Hotel not much on the service
it was a good hotel, I had couple issuse, the first one I reserved 5 nights paid and I got mixed up in the dates I left a day early to the aorport and the front desk did not say anything, the taxi to the airport cost me $100 US thats when I knew I was too early so I had to stay in another hotel for one night by the airport, the other issue I had a bag missing from the room, I conteced the hotel and two days later they found it, Im still waiting for them to send it
Excellent
Amazing I liked it a lot very friendly staff.
Realistic notes
The place is fairly quiet and the breakfast is average ... the location is excellent for business ... the small problem that happened on the first day was that they wanted to calculate the cost of the stay in euros and I had booked on the hotel website in dollars ... They wanted an additional 8 dollars and I refused and at the end they added Only 3 dollars for the total ... the receptionist should be more open and understanding than asking for trivial additional sums, but to the honesty the service staff were wonderful
Evaluate by staying a day
Staff very good Breakfast poor The sofa covers have a smell of smoking
Near to all
Great
It was good experience. Nice a clean room. The internet is not that good but definitely it's not bad.
Good Hotel, placed very close to Grand Bazar, parking area and many stores.
It was good
Very good very helpful Close to everything on the Main Street very convenient
Very good.
The hotel is very good: place is perfect ( in the middle of the old city, about 5-7 minutes walk from the metro, tram, and grand bazzar) . breakfast is good , room is comfort, staff are friendly and helpful. We recommend everything about this hotel, except ordering guided tours.
holiday in istanbul
great hotel with short distance to istanbul attraction, blue mosque, grand bazar. good friendly staff. I highly recommend
I paid for 2 days but my flight was late. I called in not to cancel my booking.I went their next day 10:45 A.M. Rooms was not ready for me. Receptions told me to take walk around the city till 2 'o clock. I actually stayed one day and have 2 pay for 2 days $157. This hotels is not for this much money. Sub standard breakfast. Not recommended to any one.
Great Location
Hotel in located in old towne one block from the Grand Bazzar
Good location.Near museums.
The hotel had excellent service. Everyone was so nice! Spoke English and did their very best to help us with tours and suggestions of where to eat. We want to return to Istanbul and want to stay here again.
Amasing trip
Wonderful place to stay with very helpful stuff. The hotel location is great is right across from the Great Bazaar and very close to the public transportation. It is in walking distance from Blue Mosque , Topkapi Palace and the rest of main attractions in the old Istanbul's center. If you don't want to walk just jump on the tram and it takes 2 short stops to be in the middle of everything. Decent continental breakfast Clean rooms and well maintain We are planing more trips to Istanbul and Turkey and definitively we will like to stay again in this hotel.
istanbul nice
Close to old town and public transport. İ suggest this hotel
Good
Good hotel with good service.
Very disappointing
We were not given the type of room we had paid for and were told that Expedia had sold us a room that was not available. The first night we were given a room with only 2 beds, so we had to ask for an additional cot. The rest of the nights we were given a room with 3 single beds, instead of a King and 2 twins. Toiletries were not replenished daily and we had to call almost everyday for either soap, toilet paper, etc. The last night of our stay we were not provided with bath towels. Cleaning was deficient, and the bath tub was not cleaned every day Breakfast was the same everyday, not varied and did not include either fruits or fruit juices There was a humidity smell in the halls and they were also used as storage
Awsome!!!!
It was a short stay and lots to do and see so a good rest is essential, you can find it here at Emporium since it has a great location, you can walk to the Grand Bazar, Hagia Sophia, Bosphorus, Blue Mosque and so many beautiful places to visit there in Istanbul. By the way, the staff is so kind and helpful. I absolutely recomend this stay.
Lousy hotel with Lousy manager's attitude
I was charged an additional USD80 on top S$150 that I'd paid for having 2 extra kids when I booked the room for 2 adults. The manager by the name of Karem or Kamel showed me some really unpleasant 'attitude' when I protested for bring charged too much. I did not mind being charged a little more but what I really can't stomach is the manager's rotten attitude that spoilt my holiday in Turkey, that was the lousy highlight of this trip. This was on new' year day 1st Jan. 2015, was my last day in Turkey really really spoilt the New Year day for me & my family. I am a frequent traveller & All other hotels that I have stayed had some kind of flexibilities to accommodate children. My advise to ALL, STAY CLEAR of this hotel with such bad attitude manger
Good for short stay
The hotel looks just like the photos. There is no bar. Breakfast had enough variety to satisfy us, 2 adults & 1 junior child. The room we had was lovely, the shower room smelt of drains quite badly, but I know U bends in Turkish plumbing are not standard so didnt bother complaining as I suspected all the rooms might be the same. The extractor fan didnt work either. The staff were friendly enough & reasonably helpful. The hotel location is 5 mins walk from the Grand Bazar & about 40 mins walk from the Hagia Sophia, you could probably walk quicker if you didn't get side tracked by all the delights on the way. The taxi from Ataturk airport was 50 Turkish Lira about £15 depending on the exchange rate & takes 30 to 40 mins. All in all it wasn't a bad hotel for a short stay.
Excellent location nr main sites & tram stop
Helpful & friendly staff, room comfortable, good breakfast. Will recommend to friends.
Close to Grand bazaar, Metro, local shops.
The staff were friendly, helpful and very supportive, good atmosphere. Good buffet, Very clean and the hotel is a walking distance to all local shops, Metro and the Grand Bazaar.
Good deal for business traveler
Good place to stay. Internet was great so I could catch up on my work while at the same time enjoy the sites of Istanbul.
an excellent hotel
this was my first time travelling and this hotel was just perfect for what I needed. situated just right in the middle of the old city, I was never neglected for a second, the staff all spoke good english and was able to help me out with everything I needed.
Centrally Located but below average
The location of the hotel was its best feature - access to the trams and Grand Bazaar was ideal. The room was too small without a view. The bathroom wasn't cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. Requests we made were attended to after a long time. Breakfast was ordinary. They did, however, accommodate us for an early check in and a slightly late checkout.
Excellent location to tramway and attractions
We stayed for one week with my family. This hotel met all our expectations on location, cleanliness, and services. Tram station as well as entrance to grand bazar was a block away. As other reviews, breakfast was not traditional western but typical Turkish. We had no issues, but kids had difficulty choosing other then cereals. Rooms were comfortable and staff very courteous and well mannered. On hind side, our suggestion is to always be watchful that bargaining is key at every place, and not to fall for pressure sale. We had booked a larger room for 4 people and when we reached our room was not available and we ended up in two rooms. We were told our room has electrical problems. Interestingly when my cousin came he was offered the same, he took a stand and got his room with no electrical issues. He had to argue and bargain. Additionally return cab to airport was booked through hotel. Rates vary on same service. My cousin got it for 60 TL a day before our departure while we were offered the same type of van for $50 instead and the hotel reception wouldn't budge and told us to go yellow cab ourself or take their van. We ended up with Van to not put a dent in our one week excellent stay. So be careful. Bargaining is everywhere, even in your hotel.
I liked staying at this hotel. The service was good, personal was friendly and kind. The room was cleaned every day and it was very clean. Personal always quickly helped and solved every problem and request. The breakfasts were good and rich with different types of food and fruits. The location is perfect for sightseeing, very close to main sights and metro station. But it was noisy a bit if your window goes to the street. Blackout curtains helped to relax at night. This hotel is very comfortable for resting and relaxing. But i didnt like that street was very crowded. Other side, it wasnt dangerous if you return to hotel at night lately.
Mostly very good
Was looking for real Turkish coffee, but neither existed in room or in breakfast. Also orange drink was not orange juice but powdered mix. Other than those two things everything else was excellent.
Location and bed are very good
Location is great and also the bed. Staff rarely smile or great guests. Room is smaller than small. No fresh fruits on breakfast and if fresh fruits are there then it will look old. No services for disabed guests.
Nice hotel close to the Grand Bazaar
Rooms were clean and newly decorated. Large, marble shower with great water pressure. Unfortunately, they also had the worst breakfast buffet. I had to go through the line twice to find the lesser of all evils. Would stay for facilities and cleanliness but not the breakfast. Bring small towels for baths.
acceptable
good

Hotel is clean ,near to bazar and other shops ,staff very helpful .
