We travel the world and have been to over 100 resorts and hotels. They are BY FAR the best. Our Butler/organizer/manager Chafiu Is THE STANDARD IN HOSPITALITY. A grade of 10 across the board does this resort ZERO credibility. We booked a return trip already. If your looking for your finest stay in a luxury setting... BOOK THE EMERALD. I miss them already. Fantastic resort, good food, they paid close attention to my husband diet restriction (gluten free) and adapted as needed.

Pure paradise awaits. A dream of a resort with stunning views, AMAZING Staff (thank you Wisham), delicious foods, endless activities, shopping and more. Did I mention paradise? :) Getting around is easy, as you can be picked up in a golf cart, or ride around on bikes parked right outside your villa (which I loved!) I will definitely be back.

We have the over water villa with private pool. We truely enjoyed it as we can take quick dips in the warm pool every morning and before bed. It's more expensive compare to villa without pool but totally worth it.

Fayaz did a great job However the food was not prepared well enough, especially the fish dry and tasteless, beef not aged.

Excellent services; very responsive to every request and need we have; I wish the restaurants have air condition. The food esp. dinner choices are so so. The beef ( steak ) was not good quality. Overall Emerald is still a great resort property.

Everything that I can think of is definitely 5 star and beyond, Emerald just needs to improve a bit of dining quality, taste is 4 star, beef is less than 3 star

Emerald Maldives was 10 out of 10 stars for my husband and I! We stayed at the Water Villa with Jacuzzi. From the moment we got in touch with their Reservation team prior to the arrival, I asked a bunch of questions from seaplane, weather, food/restaurant options, etc. The moment we arrived at Male airport, we had someone take us to the Seaplane ticket counter, then to the shuttle bus to take us to the seaplane terminal. Once we arrived at the seaplane terminal, we got to enjoy an hour ish at the lounge till our departure. Our seaplane ride was about 45-50 minutes as we had to stop at 2 resorts prior to arriving at Emerald. We arrived at the resort and we had a nice welcome with some music and champagne. Once we relaxed for a bit, we met with our villa host Shiham and he took us to the check-in reception then took a quick tour of the island then to our water villa. Everything was great! From the friendly staffs to the food, we enjoyed everything! The villas were super clean and I cannot thank all the staffs there as everything went smoothly from start to finish. They also decorated the bed to say “Welcome” with leaves and champagne when we arrived and then the day before we were leaving, they decorated saying “Happy Honeymoon!” and also they added some flowers in the bathtub. We hope we can visit again one day but I definitely recommend Emerald Maldives!!

Incredible service. Extremely well managed. I’m 60 years young and have tremendous travel experience. This has to be one of the best managed hotels ever. Food selection is phenomenal, extremely high quality. Staff goes out of its way to please you. Just can’t say enough great things about this place.

Great value and high quality all-inclusive resort

This all-inclusive resort is a real gem in the Maldives. It's still in brand new condition, large comfortable and tastefully decorated villa, good quality food and really excellent and attentive staff. Everyone served with genuine attitude, nothing over the top, too pushy or too mechanical. Definitely felt very relaxed, at ease and well looked after. Especially our personal caretaker, Dave, who answered all our questions and took proactive action to help us book dinners and excursion. Highly recommended for a stress-free and carefree time in Maldives and great value for money.

Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in an overwater villa that was breathtaking and Aneeth made sure of it everyday with his exceptional room service and housekeeping. Our room was gorgeous and well worth it as we got sunrise and sunset views with the ocean as our backdrop. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. Service was exceptional and consistent throughout the whole resort! The staff were so kind and went above and beyond for everything throughout our stay. Shout out to all the amazing staff that we got to meet: Shakti, Azu, Nitin, Bikram, Jimmy, Sam, Nappe, Ankit, Azute, Igga and Nash. There were many more that I apologize for not remembering all the names. It was a very family friendly resort and was great with kids. My children had so much fun mingling with the kitchen and wait staff that meal times became so pleasant and easy. They would rather eat than go to the kids club. We enjoyed the variety of food and restaurants that were available as there were various restaurants to go to and change it up for lunch and dinners. We loved riding our bikes around the island and had so much fun on all our excursions and activities. We saw manta rays and turtles as promised while snorkeling, saw dolphins and even pilot whales during the cruise. We can't wait to be able to come back and visit again.

In September, we took a sister’s trip to Maldives and our first choice was the Emerald Resort. Our stay at Emerald was truly amazing. From the moment that we stepped off the plane in the Male airport, the Emerald experience was top notch. We were promptly met by Emerald staff who assisted us with our luggage and escorted us to the Seaplane lounge. The seaplane ride was incredible with gorgeous scenery. Upon arriving at Emerald resort, the staff welcomed us with a glass of champagne. Our host, Shiham, guided us around the island in a golf cart and pointed out all the points of interest. He even assisted in booking our dinner reservations. When we arrived at our water villa, it was simply stunning. The room was welcoming with beautiful ocean views. The villa included bikes and a full stocked mini bar. The meals were delicious. There were so many choices at each restaurant. At each meal, the Sommelier would offer wine pairing suggestions from an extensive selection. The chefs took pride in everything that they served. We went on a snorkeling excursion to a live reef and the Lucky dolphin cruise. Both experiences were well organized and incredible. One of our favorite evenings was the Maldivian night which the staff sang and danced. Afterwards, we all danced to live music provided by the Cuban duo who are phenomenal. Special thanks to Nitin, Arun, Jully, Camelia and Shiham as they really connected with us and made our experience unforgettable.

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in the Maldives. The staff at Emerald truly ensured we had a wonderful time. Each and everyone took the time to learn our names, and treated us like family. The food and drinks were amazing, top shelf alcohol all around. We stayed in an overwater villa with pool and it was stunning. Lots of fun activities to do, definitely recommend snorkelling. My husband and I experienced our best vacation yet! We were on our honeymoon and from start to finish this resort did not disappoint. Email communication regarding checkin and checkout request, covid guidelines, honeymoon packages and seaplane bookings were seamless. Their mobile app also was a huge help in staying organized. Once we arrived to Male airport we were greeted by Emerald staff that escorted us to a lounge where we can have snacks, coffee and drinks complementary. Once our seaplane arrived we boarded and experienced our first seaplane which was incredible. Upon landing at Emerald resort we were welcomed with drums playing, champagne and cool rags. Our luggage was escorted to our room and we were met by our host, Shiham. He kindly showed us around the entire resort/island on a golf cart being sure to point out the location of restaurants and activities. He even prebooked most of our dinners. We we arrived at our water villa it was absolutely gorgeous. Two bikes were parked in front for our use during our stay. The room was clean with beautiful ocean views. Our bathroom was huge with lots of closet space. There were complementary champagne and our mini frig was stocked with beverages. As for the food, it was VERY delicious. Being a vegan/plant based it’s extremely hard at times finding something delicious to eat. Chief chef Aldo personally met me at most of our restaurants and walked me around making sure I had something delicious.

The Staff were ALL amazing! KD, Samah, Lee, Nash, Erika, ( the entire food and beverage staff were all amazing!! So hospitable, and nice. They taught us so much about the Maldives and its culture! The night life was amazing! Maldivian night was my favorite event! The staff sang and danced and at the end it turned into a large dance party with staff and all the guest!!! Sooooo much fun! The Live music was another highlight throughout our 10 day stay!! The husband and wife Cuban duo were phenomenal!!!! I cannot wait to return!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Emerald. We are Californians on our honeymoon, and everything from the super clean / modern villas to the incredible service and friendliness of the staff (who spoke English well!) was great. We went snorkeling multiple days, kayaking, windsurfing, biking, and ate a lot of great foods especially the island fruits. A few call outs - Kumar was helpful, responsive, and arranged all of our activities for us. Lee and Amit did a great wine tasting for us (in the ocean - wow!) and we walked away with laughs and more knowledge. Nuuru was a helpful and kind staff member who served us during many meals and did a great job. A growth opportunity for the Emerald team is the sunscreen cost - $80 is steep! Also, the food was high quality across the board but occasionally we wished there was more seasoning / sauces available and the fish wasn’t over cooked. Overall would highly recommend!

Emerald Maldives from the moment we made it to Male was everything we hoped for. We were greeted at the airport and taken to check in for our seaplane and then taken to an air-conditioned vehicle to our lounge where we could freshen up and wait for our sea plane to take us to the resort. The staff stayed and made sure we boarded our plane and were there once again once we landed to make sure we got to our room. The mobile check-in made it easy so once we landed we only had to go directly to our room and never had to wait to check-in. This was the best experience we have had on a vacation and it was all due to the quality of the staff and the beauty and cleanliness of the location. I would highly refer this resort to anyone.

We chose the Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa for our honeymoon destination and it did not disappoint. Our stay was fabulous, the resort was wonderful, our room was exquisite and the staff and service was top notch. We highly recommend this hotel.

This resort is amazing! From the moment the staff greets you as you get off the seaplane to the moment they wave goodbye as you take off, you are treated like royalty! Every staff member was kind, helpful, and willing to go out of their way for you. The grounds are impeccable. The food and drink are top notch- we felt we had our own personal wine sommeliers at each meal! Our room was breathtaking. The resort is laid out so you feel as if you are on your own private retreat. It was an unforgettable experience!

April Honeymoon

We had such a wonderful honeymoon at the Emerald Maldives resort and spa. They took care of us the moment we stepped out of the airport until they dropped us back off at the security line. The resort was beautiful and food delicious. The spa massages were impeccable. We stayed in a water villa with a pool and it was epic and well worth the price. While we don't think we’ll return because we weren’t fond of the fact that there were so many families with kids, it was still a wonderful stay and we highly recommend it to others.

Great place a short vacation

We had our honeymoon at the Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa and it was a dream come true. Absolutely no complaints from our end. We purchased the all-inclusive package and it was truly all-inclusive. We had excellent 5 star meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all the snacks and drinks you can imagine. During our stay, I had a pretty bad cough and ended up going to the onsite clinic and was not charged a dime for the doctors appointment or the medicine. Other then the all inclusive package, the service provided was better than we had ever imagined. Every single employee was extremely nice and courteous and we were not denied a single request. Thank you Emerald Resort for making my dream come true.

Amazing hospitality, best hotel ever stayed in!

We’ve passed a few other resorts on the seaplane that was very crowded, and it made us extremely happy with how quiet and peaceful our resort is. The villa was gorgeous, and the food was great, but our favorite thing is the staffs professionalism and friendliness. The staffs were very friendly, and always attentive to when we need transportation around the island or getting us drinks. Everything exceeded our expectations.

The island was beautiful beyond words. You can walk the whole island within 25mins. We loved that all the villas were given bikes to explore the island as well. They also offered a complimentary photoshoot for every villa, as well as dolphin cruise. We saw about 8 or so dolphins! All other excursions you have to pay for, but both types are worth it. Upon arrival, they have already booked your dinners and events to help you relax. On our last night, they set up a sunset dinner on the beach and a bubble bath was prepared when we returned to our room. My husband and I are already planning to return.

Most amazing stay at Emerald Maldives. Incredible setting, delicious food (even with my vegetarian + mushroom allergy difficulties), faultless service and lots of activities if you want them. Rooms and the whole island were spotless.

Unfortunately they charged me one extra night and didn’t make a refund. Service is not good.

The property is OK, but when we decided to leave one day early, they haven’t refund money for this day, although they said it's not a problem to make a refund (it just takes a few days).

We had the most amazing stay at the Emerald resort for our honey moon in December. The service from the staff, the resort and everything together was more than we could have asked for. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Let me start by saying the staff at this property are thee absolute best! We had a great time, food was great, spent about 2 weeks here, and they had a verity of items to chose from during our stay! Everyone was so accommodating that it was sad to leave, felt like home. They have a few items included in your stay like kaiak, paddle board, etc. but was a little disappointed not the excursion offered. Never the less this was an amazing resort, and we will be returning.

Paradise!!

This place is stunning. We stayed in an over water bungalow with a pool and it was fabulous. The bed was so comfortable! The view was gorgeous and we loved relaxing on our private hammock. Sadly we didn’t have the best weather on our trip (was rainy/cloudy/windy for 2/4 full days and rainy/cloudy on both of the travel days) but the staff and hotel still made the experience unforgettable. There is really cool snorkeling right off the aqua beach and we saw so many fish! We saw a baby manta ray from our water bungalow! We also saw a turtle on our coral garden snorkeling experience. I loved the bats, chameleons, and reef sharks. We were worried we might get in our 5 night stay but we could have easily stayed 7-10 days. There is so much to do and the food is great. We especially loved the buffets at aqua and all of the diverse options. Everything is included - unlimited drinks, mini bar, and breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was super relaxing and the staff are all wonderful and friendly. We went for our honeymoon and they gave us a bottle of champagne, a private dinner on the beach, a free dolphin cruise (sadly we didn’t see any dolphins), a couples massage (which was really good), and Lhaantey and Faya made us a wonderful honeymoon display/set up in our bungalow with chocolate cake, a bath tub with rose petals, and a beautiful display on the bed. Only feedback is we wish we had known about the app before we arrived so we could have pre-booked more activities.

Food was great at all the restaurants! We had a complementary couples massage and beach dinner because we were there on our honeymoon! Amazing views, amazing rooms, and amazing service. Food was pretty good too! Only criticism I have would be that I wish they had more activities/events within the resort for guests to enjoy aside from the spa and water activities. Other then that, I would highly recommend!!

Unbelievable experience. By far, the best trip and amazing service, quality, cleanliness, and beauty. This was our honeymoon after 26hrs of travel and it was well worth the trip for such an unforgettable experience. The trip and stay were truly once in a lifetime. The staff are top notch, providing everything from a friendly smile to a perfect suggestion. No task is a bother, and they truly made the experience magical. The food was wonderful at all of the resort's restaurants. The drinks and desserts were excellent as well, including the Nespresso coffee served in-room and at the table. The rooms themselves were immaculately kept and well stocked with mini-bar drinks and snacks daily. The staff clean everything from your floor mats to the sand outside your room, so immaculate encompasses your own private beach as well. Our room also had a soaking tub, which was great for hot days when you just wanted to relax at your room while still being at the pool. The amenities and services offered were all great. The diving crew took us on an unforgettable snorkel tour, and even took our camera down for some up close videos of the reef and sea life. Truly the very best treatment you could ever have, and above and beyond what was expected. The massage and spa services were first rate, and I would highly recommend unwinding at the spa one of your days. The morning Yoga sessions we did were also wonderful, and a great way to start the day. Our Butler, Igon, was very conscientious and courteous. He helped arrange our restaurant bookings, excursions, and everything else we could think of. One thing to note: Island time is shifted. Your flights are listed mainland - bookings are island time.
