Our stay at Emerald Hoi An Riverside Resort was absolutely amazing. The resort was beautiful, location was perfect, very safe and the staff were incredible. Tuan went above and beyond for my friend and I. Highly recommend!!

Mia and staff are very friendly, polite, accomodating and the hotel itself is just lovely. Secluded but close enough to the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Hoi An and would stay here again.

Nice hotel

Its nice hotel in ancient area . Less than 5 minutes to night market and river. Receptionists wete polite and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and yummy. The area of hotel is nice and tropical in that area beside the river.

Serene little oasis

Loved this hotel for the serenity, pool , staff and location. Such a lovely little find we would stay again. All rooms situated around pool areas . We loved that it was always quiet , leafy and tropical.

We had a fabulous stay at the Emerald Hoi An Riverside Resort. With friendly and accommodating staff from check-in on, to enjoying the beautiful pool and breakfast, to a short walk into town, we enjoyed every moment in the piece of paradise!

Great location 4 mins walkable from the Old Town. Lovely staff and clean rooms. Happy hour between midday and 6pm 2 for 1, very reasonable. Beautiful spot on the River.

Loved this hotel

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel and loved everything. The location was perfect. We were close to town but the hotel was very serene. Breakfast was very nice. We borrowed bikes and rode to the beach and I had a massage at the spa.

We stayed for an entire week (a rainy week too) and this hotel was great. The restaurant was great and always open and they offered room service! The staff were so very nice and friendly. I had a massage, also excellent. The hotel offers everything (and great prices) happy hour and pool service too! Walking distance to everything but in a nice quiet corner. The perfect location for us. Wifi was strong too!

Delightful riverside hotel.

Lovely hotel by the riverside but a short walk into town centre. We had a great room overlooking the river. Pool area was lovely with lots of loungers. Breakfast was superb and we were provided with breakfast boxes for an early trip to My Son. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Location is great! Not too far from Old Town HoiAn and Night Market. Laundromat is right in front of Hotel which makes it so convenient to drop off and pickup your clothes ( 1$USD/kg). Super cheap! Hotel staff are all young people who are all efficient yet very polite and professional. Since I had to check out early (4:30AM) for my 7:00 AM flight from Danang to Nhatrang they prepackaged my breakfast which included 3 pieces of fruit, yogurt, one muffin, one danish, and one croissant. Not to mention a cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. That was more than a regular breakfast.

Lovely hotel right on river. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing, so helpful and polite. Two minute walk to night markets. Property not too big. Would stay again.

Such a beautiful quiet place to stay that was in the perfect location.

Our room 306 had a great river view. The whole place was fantastic and we’d stay there again if we go back to Hoi An. Staff were great. We really loved the free bikes there too. The only downside was the pool was so warm that t wasn’t refreshing!!

Amazing location, a one minute walk to the buzzing eateries and river. Clean and beautiful with most rooms having a wonderful view. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Great authentic Hoi An resort experience convenient to everything

I was so pleased with free boat tour. Boat driver was nice too. Wifi was very weak.

Free boat ride along river, best breakfast anywhere and great location!

The room door cannot open properly and the toilet door cannot lock as well. Towels are too dirty. No lights at hotel main entrance and you will miss when you back at night. Staff service is just so so, keep self talking and ignore customers.

Loved it !

I totally enjoyed my stay. Great setting by the river and easy walk to all the great Hoi An sights. Breakfast was very good. Vietnamese people are lovely anyway so staff were friendly and always smile and I felt welcomed. Nice restaurant and good prices I thought. The free river cruise and the food tasting each afternoon is really generous. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Pretty good

Resort was very pretty, with a paradise feeling. Location was perfect. We are right across from motor bike rentals as well as taxi transportation. Town was a 5 minute walk, not far at all. So if you're looking for a location near town, without the noise, this is your place. The only thing I didn't like were ants. I suppose that is what you get being near the water, but it makes it difficult throwing finished food in the trash.

We loved the friendly staff, beautiful gardens and great pool. The location was perfect quiet and calm but only five minutes walk from the old town. We especially liked the extras - the free daily boatride and the freshly made traditional free food every afternoon. This was our second time staying at this hotel and, if we get back to Vietnam we will certainly book in again. A great place to stay!

This hotel looked out onto the river and was relatively quiet and comfortable. It was nice to come back to after the hustle and bustle of the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel location is perfect, 3 minute walk away from the night market and Vy’s Market Restaurant (a great place to try clean street food in a restaurant setting) and about a 7 minute walk from Hoi An ancient town. The hotel and pool are by the river, the pictures are accurate. The breakfast buffet is excellent, lots of Western and Asian choices including a daily Vietnamese soup and a Banh Mi station.

The area is awY from the hussle and bustle and the tooting early in the morning

Emerald is still the greatest!

Vinh Hung Emerald is till the greatest. We had the top graded rooms with views over pool, gardens and the river. The hotel and rooms are terrific but the greatest part of staying there is the friendly caring staff right from the general manager Mr Thuy down to the room and restaurant and gardens staff. Location is a short walk from Old Town but at least it is away from the crowds when the busses and boats bring in people from Danang. We have stated their many times and will always go back.

Great shared facilities, pool is resort style and very lovely. all hotel staff are very sincere, professional and helpful. The hotel has little perks like free boat ride, food tasting and coffee making classes, and will pack you a brekky bag if you have to go to the airport early. HOWEVER, the room itself was disappointing, smelled like mould and just needed an overall refresh, I thought the hotel was newish from the external photos but the room internally was very dated looking, and I could see leaks in the ceiling. Note, we were probably in the worst room overlooking the lobby/restaurant. Hoi An is so lovely though, the resort is well located to access the night market and the old town.

Good service, no hot water

During my stay for two nights, the first night we didnt hv hot water to bath! We need to go to other room which was not clean to take bath! The next day, the manager said they upgraded me to suite room which must have hot water!

We had two rooms for a family of four (two teens). The rooms are on the smaller side, and when we first arrived we thought it was a little musty smelling. But once the air con kicked in the smell disappeared. The staff was very attentive, the grounds were nice, and we thought it was a good value. We used the pool a few times. Breakfast had a lot of choices including fresh local fruit, omelet bar, cereal, and an array of hot Asian choices like pho, noodles, meats, dumplings. The location was great- we could easily walk into the old quarter but return quickly to a more peaceful space at the hotel.

Our room was lovely, massive bed and the view was overlooking the pool and river. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location not far from the night market and old town. Really recommend, would have been lovely if it stopped raining so we could make use of the lush pool.

Amazing hotel. An incredible resort feel for a bargain price. The staff were all super friendly, the pool is fantastic, and the poolside bar includes daily happy hours. Only a very short walk to Ancient Town, and bikes can be rented from across the road for only 20,000 dong per day.

Good quite location, but short walk into old town, good pool and breakfast, friendly staff, we got towel art on the bed each day( dog, elephant etc. Free local food every afternoon in the garden overlooking the river, free boat rides, definitely recommend this hotel, great value for what you pay

Awesome secret spot

Felt like a boutique resort, but with low key nature vibe. Really nice pool, little grassy area next to the river offers free local cuisine from the resort kitchen 4-5p. Amazing breakfast spread included. Right in the heart of hoi an, but feels secluded. Right on the river, so you could take a boat from the river in downtown to your hotel if so inclined! Wish I’d have spent a few more nights here

Good service

Lovely Hotel. Small 60 rooms . Friendly staff. The suite rooms are a great size with big bathroom and nice private couryard. Only fault would be beds are latexand are quite hard.

shoe and clothes wearers in the pool

Still a nice hotel with wonderful staff but some of the clients they receive are not so good, the wearing of clothes and shoes in the pool was particularly annoying as some of these guests also wore these items as everyday wear outside the hotel because of this I would not use the pool. As the pool is not supervised I don't see how this could be controlled.

Great location

Great location for visiting old town shops and tourist attractions. Short walk to excellent resturants and bars. Hotel staff very friendly, clean spacious room with balcony. Good breakfast, pool and gardens with free river trip on offer. Local amenities, laundry, massage and mini mart outside hotel. Transfer from Da nang airport to hotel was efficient and reasonably priced at 660,000 dong for return trip.

Very good hotel with many little extras I.e free boat tour of Hoi An. One free dinner for two guest. Breakfast was included in the room cost.

Highly recommend

We had a lovely and relaxing stay for 3 nights. The location is wonderful: within in walking distance to all of Hoi An’s Attractions; situated right on the river (a beautiful outlook); and removed just enough to give you a break from the hustle and bustle! The only negative was we only had one hot and sunny day to enjoy the gorgeous pool!

On the river, nice resort close to town

stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and loved it so decided to stay again. Hotel is in a good location, breakfast was changed everyday, some days better selection than others. Had a meal at the restaurant was great the first time second time not good. we were told it was a different chef! The staff were ok, didn't go out of there way to make you feel very comfortable. Staff look jaded. Afternoon tea of street food on the river was ok. The management are lovely they try to give you a great time but it really doesn't filter through to the staff. The boat cruise was excellent!

Wonderful well priced resort

What a wonderful resort. Not too large, had a family feel. Welcoming team, helpful throughout our stay. Manager going above our expectations. Checking from time to time that all was well. We had a suite room, which was large in all aspects including bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was fresh and very varied. Pool, with sun loungers was large enough with seperate baby and toddler section. Only downside was it was a little too warm. Plenty of shady spots to sit and lounge by the river. Loved their included river cruise and delicious freshly made afternoon tea daily. Mini bar, restaurant food well priced. Very close walking distance to town. Excellent laundry and cheap shops across the road. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Special mention for housekeeping who leave a beautiful surprise on the bed.

Worth more than a 3 star

We found this hotel to exceed our expectations. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. It was intimate with not too many guests staying unlike the big hotels where you are just a number. The room size could have been slightly larger but it was ok. the bathroom was great

Second Visit

This was our second visit to the hotel. It was just as good as we remembered it. Breakfast is great, more than enough and plenty of choices. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are warm and friendly. Free street food, free boat trip and lovely pool all go to make this an excellent choice for your stay n Hoi An and all just 5 minutes walk from the old town. Location is quite and peaceful. You can really relax at this place.

Nice for a few days, great pool

Great place, but when it rain too much, the room in the first floor can be to humedity, great pool unfortunately when it rains is a difference story, they provide a boat ride in the morning to see the town, that was super cool! The music at the restaurant is so bad they should improve, all the staff look very sad, didn't happen in other hotels!

Very mediocre

Booked for 2 nights, non refundable, first night got a very noisy room by the restaurant and the room smelled of mold. Next day we moved to another, much better rooom.staff was very gracious.

I really recommend this place

I loved my stay here. Beautiful Resort, big room with balcony. Great breakfast with lots of options and different every day. Beautiful surroundings. Great location. Not one complaint about this place. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately because of the weather. The free boat tour included was great. Loved everything about this place.

Perfect resort in a great location

This is a top notch resort and we enjoyed our room overlooking the pool. Only a short walk across the river to the Old Town, the position was great.

Nice view with the pool by the riverside. Standard breakfast. Room 106, the door at the balcony is quite difficult for sliding it. Overall we enjoyed our stay for 4 nights

Cute resort in Hoi An

This is a nice small resort in Hoi An next to the river and very close to the old town. We ended up there during a flood, but the hotel was no affected as it sits on higher ground. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom shower is amazing. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Great location

Our stay was very nice, great pool and lounging area. Location is perfect . Close to everything including the beach. The hotel sits at the edge of the river which does create a bit of a small issue with tiny bugs and small salamanders if your frightened of bugs..breakfast is good and they have free snacks in the afternoon.

Clean, well maintained rooms. Wonderful foam mattresses, slept better than at home. Great location. Nice view. Staff were friendly and tried hard to please, but English language was a challenge throughout- they seemed to understand, but probably didn't, really. Our main gripe was the quality of the food in the restaurant: worse than expected. Good chips though.

Amazing hotel which I will be recommending to all!

The hotel is beautiful and the pool is amazing. The rooms are well equipped and have great balconies. The staff are really friendly and helpful and we chose to get picked up from the airport which was really easy with the driving waiting for our arrival. It was a short stroll from the centre and we thought it was a great location. Our parents are visiting soon and we will be definitely recommending as we know they will love it too! Thanks to the great friendly staff!

Perfect location

This hotel is really peaceful yet only a 5 minute walk from the old town. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble and the little extras like at the boat trip and snacks in the garden each evening help to make it more memorable. We definitely recommend it to friends and hope to go back.

My friends stayed at the Palm Garden on the beach and while that resort is a higher level, it is remote. VHER is in a great location, the breakfasts are delicious, the staff kind, and the river view rooms are quite nice.

Great hotel, but not for a fitness retreat!

Hotel was great and we hired the hotel's minivan to go to My Son - it was uber luxurious and worth the 900,000 VND. The only downside was that I was hoping to get some exercise done during the week in the gym but the 'fitness centre' should be renamed 'fitness equipment graveyard' as none of the machines worked and seemed to be 10 years old. Buttons were actually missing.

Great hotel but average room

The exterior of the hotel was impressive and lived up to expectations. The pool was also beautiful and a great place to play and relax. Unfortunately, the room was smaller than expected and the decor did not impress. Also, we had paid a premium for the river view room, but the river could hardly be seen - being a considerable distance away and blocked by the trees. Breakfast was also only average at best. Nonetheless, the service provided by the staff was superb and they were very helpful.

I liked everything about this hotel:- from our arrival we were greeted by friendly faces. Our room was clean spacious & simply decorated. The balcony perfect for reading or sitting & having a cool drink. We overlooked the pool but as all rooms were similar in size and close enough to the pool & restaurant it isn't an issue which you select. It was very hot every day (36-37C) so the aircons. did struggle to really cool the rooms...they might just need a service or filter clean. We hope to return and would select this hotel again without a second thought!
